Okay.

Welcome back.

Let's now have a look at adding our very first products using diesels.

And I'm going to use a couple of examples here just to get things going so that you familiarise yourself

with the process.

So as you can see, I'm on diesels and I'm on the Find Suppliers tab.

This will typically be the tab that you're going to be on most of the time because this is where you're

going to be finding your products.

Now you can see here we've got AliExpress and what this is this search engine that we have here now

is searching directly on AliExpress without us needing to go to AliExpress.

Okay.

So it's effectively importing the product directly from Alli and that's going to make our life an awful

lot easier.

So all I need to do therefore is to start searching for products that might be of interest for me.

So of course I am creating a dog related site, just for example.

So I'm going to start looking for dog related products, things that could be interesting.

Now, one of the things that I know sells pretty well are dog clothes.

Okay, so clothes for dogs, you're going to see that these fit very nicely with the golden rules in

a minute.

So I've put in dog clothes and it's searching away there.

And when it comes back, of course, we see a bunch of results relating to hopefully dog clothes.

All right.

So you can see a few in there.

Now, I'll draw your attention to the fact that this is sorted by default, and that's not really what

we need.

If you remember when we were talking about how to choose your market, I was saying what you want to

do is to sell products that are already selling, take the guesswork out.

All right.

It's really not that hard.

So in order to do that here, what we want to do is, rather than sorting by default, we want to sort

by orders.

So if I click on orders this time, when I scroll down, I'm going to see all of the best selling products.

Now, some of these are not relevant, like this is for more for cleaning clothes, let's say.

So that's not what I'm after.

But then we start to get into the products that really are of interest.

So this one here, for example, this one over here, these are the kinds of products in this example

that I am looking for.

So I want to be selecting stuff probably from the first page because I can see the number of orders

down here and I want it to be a decent amount.

Now a decent amount is up for debate, but obviously less than ten is not very many.

That's not really a good indication that it's selling well in the thousands for sure, but probably

in the hundreds is okay as well.

You start to get a sort of a gut feel for this over time, as you do more and more of these products,

you're going to be able to look at them quite easily and say to yourself, Yeah, okay, I know that

with sales you start to sort of develop a sixth sense and it sounds a bit sort of vague, but it really

is true over the weeks or the months that you start doing this, you're going to get better and better

at finding products.

But obviously right now, this is the very first time you've seen this.

So you're just sort of following my lead.

And I want to demonstrate how this software works.

And some of these products that I'm choosing here demonstrate that very well.

So let's imagine that we do want to take this winter soft fleece.

Now, if I click on this just to show you what it's going to do is it's going to go to AliExpress itself.

Show me the product selling on Alli.

Now at this point you'll want to go through a two step process.

Step one check that the supplier is okay because that's important and step to make sure the product

you're choosing fits with the golden rules.

And you're going to get very quick at this.

Okay.

We're going to go through it fairly slowly at the moment.

But over time, once again, of course, these things speed up very, very quickly.

So step one, the supplier, we want to have, of course, a good supplier for our products.

And Ali makes it really easy for us to determine whether a supplier is good or not because they have

this rating system here.

And I would say anything over 4.5 stars out of five is perfectly acceptable.

So here we got 4.8.

Now we want to make sure that we have a decent amount of orders.

We've already talked about that.

So there's no point going over that again, but also a reasonable number of reviews as well because

it all relates to this starring system.

So here I can be confident that this is a good supplier.

Now the other thing you'll want to check relates more specifically to the product, and that is how

much product do they have in stock.

So if I scroll down here, you'll always see quantity and then the amount that there are.

So you can see here we've got 2102 pieces currently available.

So why is that important?

Well, if this starts selling in massive quantities on my site, which it might, I want to make sure

that my supplier can supply my customers.

I don't want them running out.

So as a minimum, I like to have 1000 pieces available.

Typically, it's not a hard rule of thumb, but I want to see a decent amount of product and 1000 gives

me confidence.

So for this supplier that ticks all those box.

So I'm very happy with that.

So then we can move on to step two, which is checking to see that this product matches the golden rules.

I'm sure you haven't forgotten them.

So let's just go down through the golden rules to make sure that this product does indeed fit the bill.

So, first of all, the price you will remember that we will need to buy at $10 or less.

So you can see that that's fine.

Not too heavy.

While this is just a little lightweight jacket for dogs, so that's absolutely fine.

Not too fragile.

Well, clearly, that's not going to break in transit.

High quality images.

Yep.

There are some great images here.

Very happy with that.

Avoid all branded products.

There's no mention of brands on this, so that's all good as well.

Can't be found at Mart, which of course really means you can't see it everywhere on the Internet.

Now, that's always slightly subjective and I know that there are plenty of dog clothes out there on

the Internet, but this particular style I haven't seen, so I'm very happy to include this on my site.

Next up, we had solves a problem or caters to a passion.

Well, I would say that this doesn't solve a problem.

Let's be honest.

That's not really a big problem.

But it does cater to a passion.

So much related to our pets caters to a passion more than it actually solves a problem.

Then we had the supplier, which we've just talked about, and then finally that key point trigger emotion

to impulsively buy products.

The big secret, this is a classic product for doing that because people will look at this and they'll

say, Oh my God, my dog will look so cute in that I want to buy it.

I have triggered emotion, right?

I triggered emotion for that impulse purchase.

So all of my golden rules have been satisfied.

So are those checks done?

I'm going to go back to Diesel's and hover over the product.

Now, you can see here that I have add to import list as an option.

Now, if I click on this, what it's going to do is it's going to add it to the import list, as you

might expect.

Probably what you're wondering is what is the import list?

Well, the import list is effectively a holding bay.

All right.

A holding place before I finally push it to the store.

So let me demonstrate.

I like this product.

So what I'm going to do is click on this to add it to the import list.

You can see it's been changed to imported.

And over here on the import list, you now see this little number one, because when I click on it,

here it is, it's now sitting in my import list.

Now, if I hover over it again and go to this button, I can now push to Shopify.

So with one click, I can now send this to my Shopify store.

So that's exactly what I'm going to do.

So I'm going to click on Push to Shopify.

It then pops up with this screen where you see the store selection.

Well, you've only got one store, so that's fine.

That's always checked.

Nothing to do there.

This box here, the pricing rule, please don't worry about it.

I'm going to talk about pricing in a bit.

This next box here, continue selling when out of stock.

No, we don't want to do that.

If it's out of stock, we want to be showing as unavailable on our site so that stays as checked off

by default.

And then finally, where it says also publish to the online store, we want that checked off as well.

If I were to check that on, it would add it to my store, to my admin system and then immediately publish

it on my store as well.

I don't want that because as you're going to see, we need to do some tidy up.

So suffice it to say, we don't really touch anything each time.

There's really nothing to do.

So all we therefore have to do is to click on Push to Shopify.

And when the page refreshes, you see the product sent successful.

So now what we should do is go back to the admin system and see if we can find it.

So I'm back on the admin system here and now for the very first time let's go to products and here it

is.

He has been automatically sent to my Shopify store.

I stress it hasn't been published yet on the site, but it's here in my admin system and I stress once

again that we do need to do some tidy up.

Now just to show you and I will be coming back to this.

If we click on this, you can see that everything that was on Ali is now included in my store.

Okay, just with one simple click.

So what I'm going to do now is I'm going to go back to Jesus.

So let's go back to Jesus here.

Let's go back to find suppliers.

And this time I want to find another product for you again, just to demonstrate.

And this time it's going to be a dog.

Necklace, not a necklace that a dog would wear, but a necklace that a dog owner would wear.

So, again, another classic fashion product.

So let's click on search.

Let's order by orders.

Let's scroll down.

And I'm actually going to take this one here.

Okay.

You don't need me to go through the whole process of is this supply good and does it fit all the golden

rules?

I've checked that before.

Okay.

Just in the interest of time.

So this product here is great.

So what I'm going to do is I'm immediately going to add it to the import list.

So imported.

I'll go over to the import list and I will send it straight to the store.

Click on Push to Shopify.

It's been sent.

Let's head back to the admin and go back to the products where we now see of course two products sitting

within our admin system.

So hope you can already see how powerful and simple to use visas is.

I mean, it really does give us an incredible advantage, but we do have a lot more to do.

As I've said, we need to do some tidy up and I'm sure that you have noticed that, for example, as

you're looking at it now, these product titles are pretty awful.

So what we need to do is to tidy this up to make sure that these products will sell on our site.

So we're going to start talking about that in the next lecture.
