So welcome to a brand new section.

And once again, this is a very exciting section because at this point we're actually going to start

putting products on our store, the products that your customers are going to buy.

But just before we get into that, I thought this was a good moment to remind us how the business model

works, how we're actually making money, how Dropshipping works, if you like, because I described

it in the very first lecture of this course, but we've done an awful lot since then.

I'm not suggesting you've forgotten, but I think it's a nice moment just to revise, have a look and

remind ourselves how this fantastic business model works.

So of course, it all starts with your store.

And we dedicated quite a bit of time so far into building your store.

Of course, there's plenty more to come.

Then once we have our store, we're going to have customers who come to our store to visit.

And I'm going to be showing you, as I said before, free traffic techniques to allow you to bring those

customers to your store to buy your products.

And, of course, that's the next step.

They buy a product from us.

Now, remember, we don't have any stock.

We're not holding any physical materials ourselves.

Everything that we're selling starts life over on AliExpress.

So what we do is we go back to AliExpress and we ask AliExpress to send the product direct to the customer.

This is a very simplistic diagram, but this is really important to understand this concept.

I'm sure you do already.

I'm just kind of re-emphasizing because the key advantages are numerous.

But let's say the top three right now at this point in the course is first of all, as I've already

said, you don't hold any stock, you have nothing physical to hold.

So if you're sitting in your apartment right now, for example, and you're thinking, hang on a second,

I'm going to have loads of boxes all over the place and it's going to be a nightmare to manage.

It's not you'll never have any boxes anywhere.

All right.

You don't have any stock.

Secondly, you get the money up front.

So when that customer comes to your store and buys your product and if you remember the golden rules,

let's say for around $30, you're going to now have $30 in your hands.

You haven't yet delivered the product.

You have the money up front.

You don't have a cash flow problem.

Many, many businesses have big problems with cashflow.

I'm not going to go into it right now, but it can be a killer for you.

That's not a problem.

You have the money up front which allows you to go over to AliExpress, buy it for, let's say $5 from

Ali and send it straight to the customer.

And of course, pocketing the difference, a beautiful $25 in my example of profit.

And then thirdly, as you can see here, you can run the business from anywhere.

This is also key.

I often get questions related to this where people say things like, I live in Australia, will this

business work for me?

Yes, it will.

I live in Nigeria.

Could this work for me?

Yes, it will.

Any country you can think of, this business model works.

And the other thing I see people getting confused about now and again is that they think they can only

sell in their country.

So if we take the Australia example, that person would be thinking that they can only sell to customers

in Australia.

Now you can do that, but you can sell to anybody in the world.

You could be living in Australia and selling in the United States, the UK, Europe, Indonesia.

Doesn't matter.

You could be living in Kenya and sell to any country could possibly think of.

All right, there is no limit.

You can run your business from anywhere.

So those are the key points.

I really hope you've grasped those.

I'm sure you have.

But what we need to do right now is to set up an account on AliExpress.

That's a key component of our business model.

It's completely free.

It's really easy to do and I'm going to show you how to do it right now.

Look some over here on AliExpress.

We've seen this already on the course, but now we're going to start getting into a bit more detail.

So AliExpress dot com.

And to set up your account, all we need to do is to come over here to the right hand side where you

see account and click on register.

Then couldn't be simpler.

Just enter your email address, choose yourself a password and then click on the Create Account button.

And once you've done all of that, I suggest you stay permanently logged in to Allie.

Really?

No reason to log out.

So having done that, I'm just going to return back to this PowerPoint presentation here where we've

got your store and AliExpress, because one of the things that you might be wondering is how do we get

the products onto our store, how do we get them from AliExpress onto our store?

Now first things first.

We're never going to take a physical product, okay?

All we're talking about is taking over product descriptions and product images from Ali to our store.

And we can make life really simple for ourselves using a great piece of software and app, in fact,

called Visa's, or it might be called DCIS.

I'm really not sure I pronounce it Visa's.

I've heard other people pronounce it DDS.

It is nevertheless a rather strange name, but I believe that the DDS stands for Dropshipping.

So if you like its drop shippers, okay, now this app is going to be key.

A key component to the success of your store is going to help us not only bring products from AliExpress

onto your store automatically, but it's also later on going to help us fulfill our orders.

It really is fantastic.

So let's have a look and see how we can install this.

It's completely free onto our store.

So I'm back on my Shopify admin store and now we're going to add an app.

Jesus, as I said, is an app.

So for the first time we're coming down to this app section here and I want you to click on Add Apps.

Now, this dialog box pops up.

It may change, the format might change.

Okay, this is a bit of a shifting concept here, but it looked more or less like this and you can actually

see these as here.

So I could actually click on this add button straightaway.

But what I actually want to do is take this opportunity to introduce you to the Shopify App Store.

I said several lectures ago when I was talking about apps right in the very beginning, in fact, saying

that Shopify has its own app store.

And if we click on this link here, it says Shopify App Store, and this one here is that it opens up

in a different tab.

We arrive on the App Store and there are hundreds, possibly thousands of different apps.

And I want to show you this right now, because you're going to get familiar with the App Store as you

build out your business.

You're going to want different apps to solve different problems for you.

It's incredible what's available here.

And also it gives me the opportunity to show you how you can search for any app if you like.

So that's what we're going to do here, right?

You can see here under search apps, if I type in Jesus, which is the one that we want, you can see

it pop up.

Let me click on this.

And this is your typical app landing page.

They all more or less look like this.

So you have the title, of course.

So is AliExpress Dropshipping.

Then you have the starring system that we're all familiar with.

Okay, so this has got five out of five stars and 8100 reviews, which is a lot so straight away.

That's a very nice barometer of how good and how successful this app is.

So Deezer is a very well respected app.

Then there'll be an introductory video which kind of tells you more or less how it works, highlights

the main features.

And then if you scroll down a bit, there's all kinds of other good stuff screenshots about the app,

the kind of support you might get and theoretically, crucially, pricing.

So with these as yes, there are paying plans, but we only need the free if you ever needed to pay

for Deezer for any reason whatsoever because you were suddenly managing ten stores.

As you can see here in the paying plan, you would have more than enough money to pay you the $20 a

month.

But right now, really, all we need to think about is that this is free, free forever.

In fact, everything we need is held within the free version.

So let's go back up.

To the top because this is the point where we can actually install it.

So if I click on ad app here, it takes me in fact back to my Shopify admin.

And you always go through this intermediate step where it's basically saying, is it okay to install

this app in your store?

You have to give your approval so you can see here what it's going to do.

Okay.

Bits and pieces here about the app, etc..

And then at the bottom you've got the install app button.

So if you're happy with all of that and typically there's no problem whatsoever, you can simply go

ahead and click on Install App.

Now at this stage, it will vary from app to app as to what actually happens.

Some will just automatically install nothing to do.

Others might ask you for a little survey or something, some kind of intermediate step.

And as you can see here on visas is asking us to select a plan.

But as I've already explained, you don't need any of these paying plans.

We can just click on free.

All right?

So we just click on Get Started.

Then you'll need to link it to your AliExpress account that you've already created.

Of course.

So I need to click on here on AliExpress.

And that is that it brings us, in fact, to the DEA's home page, and we'll get more into this in the

next few lectures.

But right now, let me just finish off this lecture by going back to the admin store.

Let's close this that we had before.

Click on apps and now what pops up is a dialog box that shows you what's installed.

So you can see here your installed apps and as you would expect these as is installed and I can access

it at any point here as well.

So if I were to click on this.

It takes me back to the Diesel's home page.

So let's really get into this now.
