No, no, look.

You have to listen to me, please.

Don't put on that mask.

Put it on.

Then will you lift the curse off my gran and my friends?

Yes.

Now put on the mask.

Nina!

Why is nothing happening?

You are not the paragon.

I shall have to seek my champion elsewhere.

You? It is over.

What is it? What's wrong?

No, senkhara!

Senkhara, wait!

Please!

My locket. My locket!

Something's happening!

This isn't the true mask, senkhara.

This is the final clue!

It was meant for me.

I am the one you need to stop this.

Please!

Read.

"The true mask still waits,

"Hidden for all to see.

"The portal of the mind awakes.

The paragon is the key."

What does that mean?

How can something be "Hidden for all to see"?

Like in the museum. The bronze replica.

The frobisher-smythes donated it to the british museum, didn't they?

Ye, hidden in plain sight

Let's go.

No--nina, think about what you're doing!

Jasper.

Trudy?

Anybody here?

Coast is clear.

Rufus.

He's come back for the mask.

So that's the way down to the tunnels.

Back, back, back!

We'll have to go by the antechamber.

No--nina, we need to talk about this.

No, no, no, wait.

Outside and keep watch.

This one, you're coming with me for a little insurance policy.

No, before you go,

Show me the way through the tunnel.

This was a man who had made some mistakes but who wanted-desperately wanted--

To turn his...

To make...

And who...

Go on, popps.

And who wanted, more than anything, just to be our father again.

And I realized I needed to have my dad back.

That was a statement read on behalf

Of both john clarke's children, jerome and poppy clarke.

Thank you.

I can't believe gerbil would let us down like this.

I can.

Really not helping, mick.

Of course.

The weeping paragon is the chosen one.

But the mask in the tunnel has no third eye.

Time to take another look, corbiere, hmm?

chosen one.

Did anyone else hear that?

Who keeps whispering?

Look, it's okay. I think you've still got a concussion.

Uh, miss williamson, what exactly is going on here, please?

Eddie had an accident...

And the nurse told us to bring him back here.

Very well. Very well.

Come along. Out of my way.

Go. Go!

No interrogation?

That's weird.

Maybe victor's had a bang on the head too.

Anyway, I'm just gonna go and check on the...

No!

You can't go that way,

'cause you don't have the person... To open the thing.

Oh--oh, you mean, the lock-the socket.

Well, that's fine.

We'll just go the back way to the...

Through the s...Lyberry.

Okay, guys, I'm concussed,

And I can still see through your oh-so-secret code.

code.

Okay, I am going to make sure eddie is okay

Yeah.

And then I will catch up with you.

Cool.

Come on, amber.

Nina!

Alfie.

We didn't get jerome. Rufus drove off with him.

I think he's coming for the mask.

Rufus is already here.

What?

He'll be in the mask chamber now.

Is jerome with him?

I need to help him.

Alfie, don't!

Look, be careful, alfie.

And don't try anything stupid.

It's alfie.

Of course he'll try something stupid.

Amber... Just make sure he knows that the mask down there is fake.

Okay, let's go get the real mask.

Yeah, let's go.

Stay there!

The mask of anubis.

Finally.

Amber millington, what do you think you're doing?

Victor, wow.

Help me--

Rufus zeno.

The fake obituary was a nice touch.

And the anonymous tip-off regarding the exhibition.

Oh, I'm glad you appreciate my efforts, victor.

And vera's too.

I thought you'd hit it off.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have rather an exclusive ceremony to perform.

It won't work.

Nice try.

The mask is missing its third eye.

Of course. Rufus removed it.

He's removed the gem.

The frobisher gem...

Which I have in my safe.

Go!

No!

Yes! Nice catch, alfie!

So basically, rufus is a nut job

Who wants anything connected to the frobisher-smythes.

And he doesn't have a problem with kidnap and stealing.

Yeah, tell me about it.

But why jerome?

Rufus must have thought he had something that he need.

Maybe he did.

Okay, it's never done that before.

Careful. Careful, it's hot.

No, it's not.

It's cold.

Isn't this the gem

That jerome's been obsessing about?

Where'd you get this?

From jerome.

He gave it to me in the barn.

Don't ask me why.

osirian.

Chosen one.

Do you hear that?

No. Hear what?

chosen one...

Chosen one.

find nina.

Where is she?

She needs me.

Eddie, eddie, are you okay?

She needs me.

I need to find her...

Now.

Nina, you don't have to do this.

I do.

The third eye!

You need the third eye.

My dad's gem.

Tell me you still have it, jerome.

No, I gave it to--

Eddie?

He just started freaking out on me,

Mumbling about the chosen one and the--

The osirian.

I think it must be the bang on the head.

chosen one.

You're the osirian.

Think about what you're doing.

No.

No.

Please don't do this.

Fabian...

It's the only way.

No.

Look at the mask.

Tears of gold.

chosen one.

The field of rushes awaits...

Chosen one.

Nina! Nina!

Nina!

Somebody do something, please!

Nina! Fabian, no!

Joy! Joy!

Don't just stand there. Do something!

osirian.

Tell me where!

senkhara's crown.

What are you doing?

Rufus and victor are right behind me.

We need to--

In the name of anubis, I banish you!

Osirian, no!

No!

You give me that, you little--

That's the true mask.

No, no, no--

Rufus, stop!

No--

Rufus, no!

You mustn't wear it!

Let him take it...

And go.

You listen to the old nan, child.

Yes, you listen to this old man, nina.

No, rufus, stop!

Prepare to bow down before me, mortals!

No!

you know you are not the paragon.

Joy!

No.

I can't find a pulse.

I can't find a pulse!

Let me see. Stand back!

It's there, but it's very faint.

What happened?

what happened, boy?

She saved me from the lightning bolt

That nina threw at me.

Help me. Help me.

Look.

Tears of gold.

The last one.

It's the ingredient for elixir, isn't it?

Yes.

Give it to me.

Yes, yes!

What happened?

Stupid heroics, that's what happened.

Has she really gone?

Yeah.

My mark--it's disappeared.

Mine too.

So that was...

unbelievable.

How did you know what to do?

I don't know.

It's like someone was telling me,

Like, from inside my own head.

Rocked it, though, right?

I know where this belongs.

Hey, where's jerome?

I don't know.

So you were pretty brave today, alfie.

I know.

Um, I've been thinking...

Maybe "Amfie" Does have a certain ring to it.

I think you mean "Alber."

Although I may have certain conditions...

You have certain conditions?

And I'm calm.

Okay, let's hear them.

Well, for starters, I'm thinking maybe

Matching monster masks.

What?

We'd better get going before people start asking

Where we are.

You coming?

You guys go ahead.

I'll meet you there.

Okay.

All right, let's go.

You knew what happen to rufus when he put on that mask,

Didn't you?

Only the pure of heart may enter the afterlife and become a god.

I think we should put that back to where robert intended it,

Don't you think?

I have something for you.

It's from your father.

Where on earth...

He says, "Sorry."

Jerome, where have you been?

You do realize you missed your dad's hearing.

I know.

I tried calling poppy.

It went straight to voicemail.

I thought you'd changed.

You are amazing.

How did you ever manage to get this back from you-know-who?

Your dad's gonna be so proud of you.

Thank you.

Seriously.

But I'm not so sure.

Hey, look, food!

Is that what I think it is?

So that's where you've been this whole time?

Why didn't you just tell me?

I didn't want you to worry.

And I didn't want to put you in danger.

Dad!

We did it.

I am sorry.

I wanted to be there.

None of that matters now.

Give me a moment, okay?

Mara.

Will you please, please, please...

Go out with me?

Yes.

-I told you. -I told you.

No, I told you.

Mmm, it's good.

So, dad...

You ever heard the word...

"Osirian"?

Where did you hear that?

I'll take that as yes.

Is that why you kept me away?

Look, I'm not telling you everything you need to know.

Not here.

And not now.

So where's nina?

She's with her gran.

Want to dance?

Oh, well--

I get it, just as friends.

All right, let's dance.

When did you get here?

Oh, fabian.

good to see you.

And you.

If you're looking for nina, she's up there.

Go on.

Nina.

Okay, wait.

Wait...

Wait...

I'm clear!

It's the way you make me feel

I've been thinking.

We got it all wrong.

You're my shining star

Breaking up and--and stuff.

You do know you're the one, right?

The chosen one.

Well, my chosen one.

Finally.

Tears...Of gold.
