All language subtitles for 8. Copyright Page - Very important Lecture (Legal Protection)

Hello there, everybody, and welcome back into this lecture.

Now, this lecture, I would like you to take it really seriously because it's about copyright.

Now, even though nobody likes to hear about copyright because it's just a bloody monster, you know,

But it's better safe than than not.

Okay.

And so there's a couple of things that you'd have to know about copyright.

Now, when you are using images inside of your book, for example, in my book, I've used a bunch of

images.

Now where did I get those images?

Where exactly?

Now I got the images.

Well, these screenshot images are actually real screenshots, so there's no copyright in there, it's

just screenshots of an image.

So there is nobody that can sue me saying you've you've infringed the copyright.

And as far as the other images for example, that are not screenshots, which are images created by

people, let's just try to find one.

When you want to find one, you can't find one.

I believe they're up at the beginning of the course.

Now, if I scroll up at the beginning of the course, there were a couple at the beginning of the book,

there was a couple of images that were.

Okay, So this one here?

No, it's actually this one, right?

So this image here, I got it from Canva.

Okay.

Now I got the image from Canva and it's because I actually use the premium version of Canva that I am

allowed to put my images here without having to suffer from any copyright issue.

And if you read canvas terms of conditions, they are actually giving you access under the pro Canva

plan, which you can see it right here, pro under the Pro Canva plan.

That's when you can take images, put them in a book or even put them on a t shirt if you so desire

to.

As long as you have the pro version of Canva.

Also here, what I would like to say, go and check this out.

Right.

Check it out by yourself.

This is just me telling you about it, but you have to check and fact check and double check and do

your due diligence.

So there are other websites that people are going to tell you to go and download images from.

But I have a rebuttal on this because I was one of the people that got the lucky information from somebody.

I would not specify his name, but if he's listening to me, thank you very much for that advice.

Now, I used to download images from Pixabay, which is this website you're looking at.

Also, I used to download images from Pexels, Unsplash and the like, and I used to download these

images for free.

For free.

The only problem with these these websites is that someone can be a spammer, someone can take an image

which have copyright claims under it, and he might publish that picture to pexels.

As a photographer or to Pixabay or I mean not Unsplash.

I believe Unsplash are safe because or an Shutterstock.

Shutterstock is more safe because you can purchase you have to purchase images from Shutterstock.

But if you're getting your pictures from Pixabay and Pexels and the free websites that allow you to

download images for free, please be careful about this.

I'm just going to tell you be careful about this because you don't know if that person is really the

owner of that picture or not.

Okay.

You don't really know.

So, for instance, this person has uploaded this picture.

They have 223 followers.

But I don't see their face in here.

And how do you know?

How do you know?

Right.

How do you know that?

This is the picture taken by the guy who's the original owner of it?

And still I would really recommend you that if you want to use images for commercial purposes to just

purchase them or to get the Canva Pro subscription, which I got for $55, I know I'm going to get a

lot of backlash for this because a lot of people are going to be saying, Well, you're promoting Canva.

Actually, I'm not promoting Canva at all.

There is no link here.

I'm just telling you, this is an advice from you, from me to you.

Okay.

And I think this is the best thing.

Otherwise, you would have to go and purchase images from Shutterstock.

Now, let me tell you something about Shutterstock before we move on.

Is that Shutterstock?

I found myself, really, I should say, guilty of this.

I used to purchase images from Shutterstock and it was really expensive.

Really expensive.

Were charging me something like a $29 for I think ten images or something like that.

It was really horrifying, you know.

But when I found out that canvas for $55, I can download every image I wanted.

And worst I found that the images that I was used to download and pay for from on Shutterstock, I found

that these images were on Canva, right?

So they were available for me to download for free.

And so there is no debate, right?

For me.

I think that Canva is the best by far, hands down.

And I advise you if you want to, you know, protect yourself from copyright issues, please do it.

Now, there is another way that you can actually protect yourself is by creating your own images using

AI.

Right now I have to say that there is no law that regulates I as of now.

So any image you could create, there is no copyright infringement.

There is no law that says you are infringing on copyright.

Except, of course, if you take the picture of a famous star movie star or someone who's known a public

figure.

Now, if you create an image of a public figure and use that and claim, claim copyright and even put

it on t shirts and start selling these t shirts, then you are really playing with the devil, you know?

So so you have to be careful about how you treat this.

And now I've shown you the safe way.

So we've got that out of the way.

And for so many of you who are not taking this seriously, please take this seriously because you don't

want to make 300, 300,000 bucks only to lose 300,000 bucks later in lawsuits.

Okay.

So don't do that.

Purchase your images or purchase a membership in a software that allows you to use images, copyright

free.

Okay.

Because they take responsibility.

And by the way, let me tell you this, Canva, they actually have a lot of people that that these people

they they put images inside of Canva.

There are Canva artists or they publish designs on Canva, should I say.

And Canva, I have to tell you, is really strict and rigid, really strict and rigid when it comes

to when it comes to selecting these people.

So you can't just walk up to Canva and expect yourself to become a published designer.

They will really test you, you know?

And so it's not easy.

It's not easy to get approved by Canva to start putting designs unless you put some things or some,

should I say, proof that you're legit and you can't run run from from the responsibility.

And also you notice that some images you can see on Canva and then the next day you don't find them

anymore.

They are out of Canva.

So Canva, they actually take this seriously.

And in the worst case scenario, if something happens, if something if an issue happens, you are not

to blame.

Right?

You are not to blame because you just did it.

Right.

Okay.

So enough with that.

That was a pretty long rant about image copyright, but it's serious.

Okay, Now let's go back here to the copyright page.

But for once, if we go and take any book, for example, let's take the ChatGPT millionaire, which

my dream is to wipe this book from the surface.

You know, I just want to I just want to take the place of this book, even though that will be hard.

But I took it as a challenge upon myself.

Now, if you go inside the book, you'll find literally every book on Amazon has a copyright page.

And that goes to say that you have to take this seriously.

Also, since we're going to be writing this book using ChatGPT, we have to specify it.

Now, if you didn't write it using ChatGPT and you're positive that all of it was written yourself,

then you can simply not mention it in the copyright page or nowhere in the book.

So here.

This guy didn't just write this here for sports.

He wrote this here because he understands the repercussions.

He understands that he has to mention it.

Right.

So don't try to lie.

Don't try.

You know, just just mention it and you know, and just try to rub it, you know, if, for example,

you could just give them an ice cream while doing it.

This is exactly what this guy has done over here.

So here's what he did.

He says, Get your gift for free gift.

So he gave them a free gift by scanning the QR code.

Thanks to him, by the way, I've used the same strategy.

And then he gave them the bad news that this was written using ChatGPT.

So.

So you give them the good news and the bad news.

You can do that.

But I mean, nobody's going to read the sentence anyways, and this guy knows it.

And if you notice, he put it in bold for people to see it, Right?

But you can trust me that nobody's going to read it.

At least 90% of the population are going to pass through it because who likes to read the copyright

pages and and all of these pages, You know, even though he made it clear that he wrote the book using

ChatGPT.

Okay.

And also, for the most part, some people wouldn't really have a problem with him writing a book using

ChatGPT.

Okay.

Because they will never read it in the first place.

They'll just buy the book just like you buy a book and put it in the bookshelf.

So coming back to our muttons here about the copyright page, you will find it attached in the resources

of this particular section.

You can download it.

The only thing that you have to change is published by so this is passive income.

Gen Z, my brand so published by.

And here you have to change.

If you have a website, put your website in there.

That's quite a fancy domain.

I got there and here printed in the United States of America, which is exactly what it's printed.

Otherwise there is really nothing else except for here 2023 by passive income Gen Z.

All rights reserved.

Now, we've already spoken about what's inside the copyright page at the beginning of the section,

if you remember, but there is no problem in mentioning again.

So there's section 107 and section 108 of the United States Copyright Act.

You have to mention those sections right there to make sure that a person understands they do not have

to touch your book or take it or write something from it, inspired from it without the prior written

permission of you.

And when I say written permission, you have to either send them an email or you can send them a piece

of paper signed by your signing.

Or if you have a company stamp, you can do that as well.

So so those are the things.

But generally speaking, there's no reason for you to give your book to anyone, but just to protect

yourself, put that in there.

Then there is this book is protected under the copyright laws and that the reproduction or unauthorized

use of the material or artwork contained herein is prohibited without the express written consent of

the publisher.

That's also good.

Now, the book is is now this is by far the most important one.

Focus now because you're teaching about financial stuff.

So, for example, you watching me right now, you are learning about money.

You're learning about money, whether you like it or not.

Okay.

So this in some cases can be taken as financial advice.

And I have seen cases where people, at least there is influencers in my country, there's one influencer

is specifically I've heard this in a podcast and this is real, this influencer, he ran a podcast of

E Commerce.

So he's an e-commerce pioneer.

He's made a lot of money.

He lived in Thailand for a long time and so he's got a lot of money.

The bottom line is that he's got a lot of money.

He started a company, my home country.

He's doing really well.

He's a millionaire.

Over $10 million in net worth.

He's got a Ferrari.

He got everything for him, living really the life of a successful entrepreneur and young.

And so he's advising people about e-commerce and stuff.

And one day someone commented while he was running the podcast, someone commented to him and said,

I quit my job.

You destroyed my life because of you.

I quit my job.

Now I don't have anything else and stuff like that.

And the guy read the comment while on the podcast.

He read the comment and says, I didn't destroy your life.

You did.

You took you took the responsibility of quitting your job.

I was.

And so what can you do in those situations?

So you have to make it clear from the beginning to people that we are no financial wizards.

We are not people with magic sticks.

The heavens who can help you become rich.

We can just give you advice and never take it as is.

Right?

Do not take this and go and say I can quit my job today.

I'm just going to apply whatever is taught in this book.

Because if someone does that and some people can be quite dissatisfied, especially in the US, you

might end up in trouble.

So you have to mention this.

This is important.

The book might include affiliate links, even though my book doesn't really include affiliate links,

though I could have put some affiliate links for software such as Picture.i, Murph and other software,

but I was decent enough not to put any affiliate links in there.

You could also consider it a stupid move from myself because I could just capitalize on that, that,

and basically make some extra money in affiliate commissions.

But that's okay.

And one thing I would like to add is I have spent close to five years in industrial environments.

And I was I took at some point for a large time actually in my period in industry.

The last one was in a very large steel manufacturing company while I was taking care of purchasing and

logistics operations and importing raw raw materials, but precisely importing what we call them, PDF

or in English they are called spare spare parts, right?

So we were importing them from abroad because that mostly where that's mostly where factories, you

know, lead their businesses.

And so I used to deal with businesses and I used to create a lot of contracts, you know, And in these

contracts, I really got to meet some very, very successful contract people.

I've learned a lot of things about contracts.

Right?

And I can tell you that legal stuff should be taken seriously.

And this is why we're having this lecture.

It's long.

Yes, it might be boring.

Yes.

But.

I mean, I enjoy the drill because let's face it, I don't want anything bad to happen to any of you.

Okay?

I want to make sure that you guys and girls are protected with the data that you're getting here.

One other thing you would like to check is the size.

So here, if you select this, the size is 11 of the text.

And you also make sure need to make sure that the size for everything you copy after that is 11 because

you don't want any inconsistencies or incoherencies.

And the best thing to do is to make sure you do it every single time, right?

So that you don't have any problems that might arise without your prior knowledge.

So right now that we've written the copyright page, we can move on and continue.

So in the next lecture we're going to be doing for the most part is simply.

Formatting the book.

Now, for that, I'm going to have to go and write the the other parts of the book.

So I'm not going to write everything right here while you're watching me.

One thing I'd like to add is that you can add images to make your content better.

For instance, here, under this particular subheading or subchapter, I've added an image, and for

the size of the images, I would prefer that you use a size of 1000 and 230 by 601,230 by 650 or something

like that.

Maybe a 1400 by 630 or something like that.

So and I download the images just like I said, I download them from here, which is Canva.

So I created click on custom size here and for the width here, 1280, for example, by 630 this is

good.

And then you just download any image you desire.

For example, here I'm understanding ChatGPT.

It's about artificial intelligence.

So I went in, I just downloaded an image that best represents artificial intelligence, and that's

a brain with electric power.

Now what you can do also is you can use AI such as Midjourney to generate the images that you want to

use inside of your book.

That's also could be a strategy that you can do.

And I believe that you've watched enough content about Midjourney in this course to be able to create

content and to be able to create really good images.

So, for example, if you so happen to like this image right here, you can use it.

Now, one thing here, if I set this image as a background image, you can see the brain is not looking

good, so you can detach it.

And because the background color is a uniform, you can select here and apply colors to the page.

And that's a trick, right?

And now you can see that the image looks better.
