It's crazy how different
the entire ecosystem is here

Animal sounds are different

it's crazy how making
your way up a riverbank

a couple miles in this jungle
changes the whole jungle.

This is worth
the move in itself.

I know there's a certain
amount of calories you need

to truly survive
in an environment.

back on track to

You know, yesterday,

I'm grateful and compassionate

for everything we kill
and consume out here.

Yeah, fish are great consistent

source of energy

We need, in general,

to give us the power to
really thrive through the end.

If there's any different

We really wanna thrive out here.

It's not just survival,
it's about thriving.

I was hoping that I

something different.

It's nice having three
fisherwomen versus one,

but I got to step up.

times over and over again.

but like has a pit like
an olive or something.

It's got a giant pit inside.

I see some teeth marks on there.

Looks like the monkeys
have been eating them,

possibly the parrots.

I'm guessing if like the
animals are eating them,

they can't be too bad.

Jeff, I don't know if
he'll be able to eat them

if there's like any kind of
nutritional benefit from them,

but maybe he can use them
to put them in his stomach

and maybe help his nausea.

I'm gonna make myself
a couple fishing poles.

The same type of poles
I've used on every challenge,

I found they work really well.

And I'm hoping if I
have the fishing poles,

then god will bless me
to get over this sickness

and I can actually do
some fishing tomorrow.

This has been the
worst illness I've ever had

on any Naked and
Afraid challenge.

And that's saying a lot.

The Philippines
was a close call.

I promised that I was
not gonna come home

one day earlier than day 60.

Anything less would be complete

and utter failure.

I'd say I'm about 70% right now,

but this is by far the best
I felt the entire challenge

and I will be in
a better position

to be able to help
Jen and Trish.

We find a fork in
the little waterway

and a huge deep fishing hole.

You can just see the
fish, singing like a chorus.

They are attacking
the top of that water

like nobody's business.

We have reached
the promised land.

The scales on this are insane.

I'm only capable
of doing so much,

fish, get the
firewood, start a fire,

cook the fish, clean the fish.

I do all of that.

It's just slowly chipping
me away a little bit.

happy that you're here.

Like just the whole dynamic.

just see things that

people just can't get away

The water's come up

to figure something else

as far as putting in
some more food in us.

You guys wanna walk
up the trail a little bit?

We'll go find some chiba-haha.

And then, maybe... maybe
we'll get some heart of palm

- to just put something in our mouths.

For me, it's just... I just
live in constant hunger.

I have less energy
throughout the day.

So we'll go ahead and try
a few different techniques

to see if we can put some
more food in our bellies.

you can't see five
feet around you.

I know palm fruit,
usually in the tropics,

is sort of constantly
producing at different times

so I know if there's
these trees out there

in abundance, it's
just a matter of time

till I find a ripe
batch on the ground.

lot of them on the ground.

and it's chock-full
of nutrients.

not entirely sure

if we can treat it here.

So recommendation would

Yeah, I've never
experienced anything

like this before,
venturing out on my own.

It could take me hours,
miles away from our camp.

I'm already dehydrated.

You know, it is a
little scary out here

knowing that I don't
have any water on me.

There's other resources and ways

to actually find water.

Catclaws provide a ton of water.

So I gotta be very vigilant
and keep my eyes open

if I see one, cut it down,

and drink some water
from it, and rehydrate.

And that's gonna be my game plan

until I can actually
get either a pot

or I can find a
reliable water source

that doesn't include boiling,

which is almost zilch out here.

Ugh. That looks kind
of sketchy over there.

But it looks like a lot
of trees have fell down.

So I'm kind of like, I'm
gonna keep going this way.

I have the skills to go
out here and survive,

pushing myself just a
little farther than I can.

I need to dig deep
and push forward

because I believe in myself
and I'm gonna make it.

at the top, and that way
any water that's from here

down to here
where I cut will stay

so as soon as I cut this,

I've got to cut this
bottom as fast as I can,

pull it upside down and drink it

so that I don't lose that
pressure holding it inside.
