Oh, the snow, the trees,

the little snowman made by
the neighbors down the street.

That's magic.

When snow falls and
creates a whole new world

on top of the world,
we see every day

a beautiful ice-capped
view of beauty.

I'm Holly, and this is
the home I grew up in.

Seems like some of
my greatest memories

are from around Christmas time.

Growing up, Christmas was always

our favorite time of the year.

I mean, my dad's name is Nick,

my mom's name is Joy, and
of course you already know

they named me Holly.

That's why I love us.
And I love Christmas.

I truly believe this
holiday was created

just for us to
spend time together.

And what would Christmas
be without Aunt Rhonda

and my mom's brother, Uncle Joe?

Uncle Joe and Dad would
always get together

and serenade the family
every Christmas at midnight.

The two of them
were just bubbling

with Christmas spirit
when they got together.

One thing my mom
always said about me

was that I was the
perfect matchmaker.

It all started when
my mom's brother Joe

met her childhood best
friend Rhonda one Christmas.

When I saw them together,
something clicked,

and I knew that they were
meant to be together.

Well, just as I
predicted, Uncle Joe

and Aunt Rhonda got married.

And from that point on,
we were inseparable.

Uncle Joe would always talk
about the importance of family

and being together at Christmas

and how we needed each other.

One by one, we would stand in
front of the Christmas tree,

and each person
would tell a story

about our one special ornament

we were placing on it that
year and what it meant to us.

Dad would gather us around

after the grandfather
clock struck

and then begin singing
Christmas carols.

That was true Christmas magic.

[cheery upbeat music]

Okay, so here's the plan.

So basically I had
to explain to John

how Mom and Aunt
Rhonda were at odds

ever since Uncle Joe died.

We all miss Uncle Joe,

and they both just have
different ways of showing it.

But when Aunt Rhonda remarried,

Mom just couldn't forgive
her for how soon it happened.

That just seemed
to suck the life

right out of family Christmas.

So basically John, I
need you to be Uncle Joe.

- Laugh and sing
songs with my dad.

Make Aunt Rhonda feel like
she's a part of the family.

And Mom, just keep telling her
stories and she'll love it.

They'll have so much
fun enjoying you
