A claim supported by evidence so

The measure of proof is very

In his legal view, if a man and
woman contrive to be alone together,

I begin to see this Criminal
Conversation is just a fantastical tale with no concern for the truth.

to see clearly, Garrow.

This notion of a "wife as property"
is everywhere outside the courts being questioned.
