answers to my questions from the books

that they had memorized.

I started going to the town
library and used to read a lot.

I would read at home too.

I tried to understand
that ultimate secret,

reading through all the
scriptures that man has created.

I even read all the books
of Karl Marx and Lenin,

but their dead words had no answers.

So mysterious is your world...Your universe...

My madness was growing,
as were my questions.

Sometimes I would go
to Sufis to seek my answers,

and sometimes I would move
along with the groups of Sadhus.

Sometimes I would ask
the blank walls of a church.

The statues of Buddha and
Mahavira answered only in silence.

Slowly, one by one,
my questions started returning back to me.

It felt like the answer
is somewhere close by,

just eluding my comprehension.

Time had stopped its journey;
night and day seemed to be the same.

Only I was moving,
wandering in my thoughts.

The (W)s had lost their
existence and I hardly saw them.

So my father was informed.

This transformation of
mine obviously worried him.

He took me to an Ayurveda practitioner.

He examined me and smiled at me.

But for my father's satisfaction,

he handed over sweet white
globules called medicines, to me.

My good father warned
me amply and returned home.

I lost hopes.

The impediment took over me.

It even made me think to end this life.

In dismay, I banged my head to the walls

and stared at the ceiling. I was so empty.

A weekpassed but nothing helped.

But that night, at midnight,
universe kept expanding until the time

I felt some unseen force was pulling me,

as if the open sky wants me to accept the
baffling, hidden dimensions of my life.

I walked as if I was intoxicated.

The confusing whirls of answers were clear.
That beautiful night was a bright day.

Every step, urged me to walk more.

It grew as if the cosmos was a magnet.

Neither didI stop nor
did the force give up pulling me.

Then, I finally stopped.

At dawn, I reached home after
sitting for hours under a tree.

I realized to be in our
world we have to embrace mystery.

The books, the walls, everything in
that room were new like me, transformed.

They gazed at each other with happiness
and I reciprocated with a smile.

It continued for hours.

Nani. I wanted to share this
priceless treasure with you.

And I came to meet you.

I need your permission before I set
out to share this wisdom with everyone.

Raja. You were only my Raja till now.
