the same brakes we'd used
previously. We hadn't changed them.

even worse still,

our professional racing driver -

rightly so -
sent us an e-mail.

When I tell you the title,
"Tough Love From Today,"
exclamation-mark,

you'll gather the tone of it.

"We got extremely lucky today..."

"Not sure you all realise how much
we avoided an absolute plane crash.

In no way, shape, or form
is this acceptable.

We cannot cut corners
when it comes to safety." Yeah.

I mean, we really, really dropped
the ball there.

It is a wake-up call,
but it's a wake-up call

like someone rolling a hand grenade
under your bed in the morning.

To be honest, after Llandow

I was very disappointed,
cos it ended up being
an absolute disaster.

Finally we got the right pads
to go back in,

so hopefully this will save
all the issues we had before.

We'll find out in a couple of days
at the next test.

We've got a race coming up
at Donington.

We are not ready,

so I've booked another test day
at Castle Combe,

and if it doesn't work...
I've got no choice.

We've finally done
a successful endurance run,

since last year, so, yeah,

a smile on my face,

We've proven it works,

It took today
for me to get hope back
that this is worth doing.

If we can work as well
as a team as we did today,

to work on the bloody Lancia.

With only a couple of days

while I get on and get it painted.

This is one thing
that doesn't surprise me about Dad.
