I would get every recording,

I definitely learned everything,

being obsessed with Nirvana.

I like to create as much energy

and I like that kind of

and they give it back.

I'm 44 years old,

and I'm a midwife.

I know it sounds a bit cheesy,

but it's just really nice
having a job

where you feel like you've made
a difference to somebody.

I have been recognised
in strange situations.

I've had one where
it was the dad that asked me,

"Weren't you in a pop band
in the '90s?"

I was in a pop band
called The Honeyz.

We had five top-10 singles

and we were all young
and just loving life

and enjoying what we were doing
for a living. It was just amazing.

The Honeyz broke up officially
about 21 years ago now,

but recently there's been
a kind of re-love of the '90s.

There have been some reunion gigs,
which has just been amazing.

Getting back out and performing
and stuff is kind of

what has inspired me to come back
and have a go at The Voice.

It was my first love,

I'm Gwannty, I'm 29,

and I'm originally from Nigeria
but now I live in Bolton.

So, I moved to Bolton from Nigeria
two years ago to study

and do my masters
in biomedical sciences.

So, what I do on a day-to-day
is to take patient samples

to know what's actually wrong
with the patients,

and it makes me feel happy
that I help people.

I sing, like, every day.

So, sometimes
when I'm working I forget

that I'm in the hospital.

I can't control it!

People come to the hospital,
because they want to get well.

The same for music - a lot of people
go to shows

because they want to get well
and get happy,

so I find joy in doing music
and doing science at the same time,

cos I feel like I'm basically

My dream is not just to only help
people with my science,

but to heal people with my music.

My ultimate dream is to be
a full-time musician.

I love grime, MCing.

When I was 16,
me and a few friends of mine

were in a rap group called L4C.

We just used to be spitting bars
all day, every day.

We used to gig everywhere,

we used to dig in different venues
all around Birmingham

and London as well. It was fun.

I think we broke up
when I was, like, 20.

Basically, when I went to uni.

I've come to The Voice to show
myself that I can do it,

and push myself further.

I actually haven't told any
of my family that I'm doing this.

I just don't want the pressure.

Like, "How's it going?
What's it like? Has it happened?”

I just want to go there,
do it and then, you know,

eventually they'll find out,
but right now... nothing.
