Nothing like this has
ever been done before.

Getting to see the
jungle for the first time...

It's really dense, really thick.

It's gonna be intense.

Jeff: This place is
gonna be out to kill us.

My partner and I...
We've got to be on guard.

Narrator: Deep in
the Philippine jungle,

two of "Naked and Afraid" 's
most accomplished all-stars,

Laura Zerra and Jeff
Zausch, are about to embark

on a never-attempted
challenge of epic proportions...

This is gonna be insane.

Narrator: 60 days
surviving Naked and Afraid

on the island chain of Palawan.

This jungle's looking gnarly.

I've never done 60 days,
but it's what I was born to do.

I love this.

Narrator: For the first 21
days, they will have to survive

in one of the most dense
and humid jungles on earth

during typhoon season.

Jeff: Everything's wet.

Everything's covered in mud.

Just about anything you
think lives in this water,

and most of it's deadly.

Narrator: Daily rainstorms
batter a landscape

that has surprisingly
sparse resources

but is swarming with mosquitoes,

giant, deadly centipedes,
and venomous green vipers.

Hunting here is
gonna be very difficult.

Narrator: Then, on day 21,

Jeff and Laura will
trek to biwott beach,

where another
journey awaits them,

this one across 8 1/2
miles of open water

to start a new 40-day "Naked
and Afraid XL" challenge

with 12 other survivalists.

To be out here and
to have to think about

how to pace
myself for 60 days...

I have no idea.

Jeff: The things I'm
worried most about

are the things I can't see
the viruses, the insects,

the larva growing in the water.

We're not gonna
survive 60 days out here

by trying to be one

out here if we beat her.

Narrator: Jeff begins with a
primitive survival rating of 9.1

I really hope I have a
partner that can hack it.

Just looking at this
jungle right now,

it's this wall of green,

and there's definitely
gonna be spikes.

There's gonna be
vipers in the trees.

I'm hoping that I can work
with mother nature here

and that she'll work with me.

Narrator: Laura's survival
experience is unprecedented.

She has completed
four separate challenges

in Panama... I got a lobster.

with Jeff in Colombia
on a 40-day challenge...

And Naked in Alaska.

Laura: Being out
here in the wilderness

is one of the most
humbling places I can be.

Mother nature is
not to be conquered,

and if you don't
listen to her rules,

she's gonna slap
you down on your ass.

Narrator: She is as skilled
on land as she is on water

and begins with a PSR of 9.5.

Laura: But on a
60-day challenge,

who my partner is is gonna
affect this entire experience,

so I am most concerned
about my partner.

Now let's get
this party started.

Laura: I'm taking my pants off.

I said I would
never do this again.

Ugh.

60 days in the
Philippines... here it goes.

Jeff: I hope my partner is
somebody who can laugh,

somebody who can
look at their bloody arm

after they just got sliced
with a piece of bamboo

and laugh it off.

That Jeff?

Is that fricking Laura?!

[ Laughs ] What's going on?

Oh, my gosh! Laura!

[ Laughing ]

Fancy meeting you!
Is that seriously you?

Laura is a proven survivalist.

She's very skilled.

She's a great hunter.
She's a great craftsman.

But that's not what
impresses me the most.

With Laura, it's her
mental ability to overcome.

- You ready for this?
- Yeah, I'm ready for this.

Laura: Jeff definitely
has unbridled enthusiasm.

The only thing I would
be worried about with Jeff

is I think he has
a little bit of that

me-versus-her mentality
when it comes to nature.

60 days.

60 days is insane.

But I want an optimist,
and Jeff is an optimist.

We have a couple bags over here.

a pot and a machete,

both survivalists
have been allowed

one item of their choosing.

Jeff brought a fishing line,

and Laura brought
a fire starter.

- I have a map, too.

So we should definitely
take a look at that,

see what we're working
with. Want to look at it.

So, we're here.

There's a couple snakes

running around here, which mean

food, but also danger.

That looks awesome. Mm-hmm.

There's a lot of
limestone in the area,

so if there's gonna
be a cave anywhere,

it's gonna be here. Absolutely.

- Okay.
- Should we do it?

- Let's head there.
- Let's do it.

- Oh, my gosh.
- So excited.

- This is beginning.
- It's happening.

The thunderstorms
pop up so fast out here.

We're gonna have to
have a roof over our head.

Ow! [Bleep]

Ah! Ugh!

Jeff: I kick a
thornbush with my foot.

Narrator: The jungle is
littered with black-palm thorns

and overrun with a
variety of poisonous plants

that can result in a
painful rash with one touch.

Oh, my god.

The jungle also provides cover
for some of Southeast Asia's

most dangerous snakes,
like the deadly king cobra

and the venomous
wagler's pit viper,

whose venom
destroys human tissue.

Oof! It is wet. It is dripping.

And it is muddy.

The mud is really slippery.

It's definitely coming down.

It's like a steam
room in here...

100% humidity... hot as hell.

It's a perfect
environment for snakes.

This jungle is so thick.

I'm sweating so much.

Yeah, me, too.

Is that a freaking cave?

Let's see if it's wet.

That's what I'm worried about.

- Oh.
- This is dry.

Look at all this flat ground.

This cave is the
greatest single resource

that we have in this jungle.

Okay. I feel like we can
totally have a fire here.

I think it's gonna get cold
when that sun goes down.

We're gonna need water.

We might be able to
find where the river is

and get some water before dark.

And then we can gather
firewood on the way back.

I don't see anything
that I can eat.

Oh, my gosh!

Oh, hello.

You want some escargot to start?

Yes, I do!

Oh, my gosh. Snails.

This jungle is already
providing for us.

It looks like there's, like,
an opening down here.

Do you see that?

It looks just
lighter in the jungle.

It kind of goes
downhill a little bit, too.

Oh, look at our stream!

Oh, there's, like, a deeper
pool right there where...

- There...
- Some fish may hang out.

I think top priority
should be get water...

Yeah.

And then get this fire going.

All right.

I cannot wait to throw a
fishing hook in that water.

- Snail!
- You found one?

- I found a snail!
- Yay! That's awesome!

And it's living! Yeah!

There's gonna be more snails.

I think the Karma we get
from letting him do his thing...

What?

Unless you want
to take your snail,

and I'll put back one of mine.

Oh.

Laura: I'm a huge
believer in Karma out here,

and I think if you are a
good caretaker of the forest,

the forest will caretake you.

Ooh. This is hard.

It's living, and it's breathing,

and I'm not killing it.

Jeff: Laura and I...
we have a different

emotional connection
with the jungle,

but if she feels
that leaving a snail

will create good Karma for
us, I'm gonna go along with it.

We've already found
shelter, food, and water.

Still have to
get a fire tonight,

but I'm feeling
confident we can.

We're gonna have dinner.

♪

Boiling water sucks.

It takes an hour or
more just to cool down

after we boil it, so... yeah.

For me, the best bet is a well

because, once it's dug,

it produces for
you all the time.

Eating a snail is like
chewing on a rotten old sock

that's been hanging out
in the closet for a month.

I'm super grateful
that we have them,

but it's still gross.

Ugh.

Jeff: Ow! Ugh.

Laura: Jeff got bit by
something, and it's burning him.

And there's ants! It's an ant.

Laura: Damn it.
They really suck.

Ugh!

Narrator: The Philippine jungle
is home to millions of red fire ants,

whose venomous bites cause
the skin to blister and burn.

Ugh!

Laura: Yeah.

Yeah.

Holy [bleep]. Jeff: What?

What? What? What? What?

- Holy [bleep].
- What? What? What?

Holy [bleep].

[ Gasps ] There's thousands.

Where are they coming from?

- Oh, my god.
- Under control.

This is gonna
make tonight [bleep].

Russell: There's
nothing out here.

How are we supposed
to survive in the ocean?

Gabrielle: Everything out here
wants to eat you and kill you.

The locals think no one
could survive out here.

- No backing out now.
- Oh, [bleep]!

Oh, I see it!

Laura: Holy [bleep].

Jeff: What? What?
What? What? What?

Look at the [bleep] ants.

Jeff: We're sitting by
the fire, and we look over,

and we see a massive black mass

moving right
towards our shelter,

probably trying to
escape the storm.

Jeff: [Bleep]. All right.

We have an ant
problem. We got to go.

All right. What we need
to do is create a line of ash

to protect our sleeping
area. Yeah, totally.

Laura: I thought
quickly, and I figured,

"hey, we got a lot of ash.

Let's make a barrier
wall that they won't cross."

Ugh! Ouch!

Jeff: Oh, [bleep]. Ugh.

How you doing?

So, ants don't like
to cross over ash,

and additionally, if they do,

we'll be able to
see them better.

Narrator: Ants avoid ash

because it dries up
the mucus on their feet

that contains the pheromones

they use to communicate
with their colony.

Without this pheromone,
the ants will eventually die.

So that's our ant barrier,

and the ants never
once crossed it.

Oh, they hurt!

I've been bit three times,

and it is far worse
than a bee sting.

It's the morning of day 2.

What's up, partner?

[ Animals calling ]

We're thinking about
digging a well today.

We're thinking about
making some bedding

so that we can get good sleep

because good sleep
translates into good decisions.

We're here for 60 days.

Good sleep is
absolutely essential.

All right. Snail time?

♪

♪

So, over here is where I was
kind of thinking about the well.

I'm hoping to hit
water at 4 feet, but...

It's really important to me

that you don't completely
kill yourself digging this well.

We have 60 days. Yeah.

It's not worth it.

♪

♪

Jeff: In the rainforest,
it's surprisingly difficult

to collect water because
the canopy is so thick.

Most of the rain
falls onto the canopy

and then drains
down the vegetation,

and we know that
monkeys live in these trees.

There could be monkey crap,
monkey piss on these leaves.

We do not want
to collect any water

that's draining off of something

that could potentially
contaminate us.

Once this well is dug,
that is fresh water,

as much as we want
anytime we want.

Ouch.

Ugh, [bleep]!

Something bit me.

Oh, ant. [Bleep].

- Ow. Damn.
- Holy... what?

Yes! Yes!

Oh, yeah!

- Laura, give it up!
- I dropped my knife.

Hell yeah! Oh, yes!

- Ooh.
- Nice catch.

Laura: So sorry.

Oh, we needed that.

- Yeah.
- Yes!

Laura: I get our first lizard,

so I think it's jungle
Karma coming back to me.

There's some good meat in here.

It's not very big,
but it is a start.

To make it 60 days,
everything you get out here

is important for both of us.

Laura: Nice work. Oh, yeah.

Jeff: Right now it's not a well.

It's a hole, but it's
gonna be a well.

Is this water percolating in?

Oh, my gosh. Did
that just happen?

- Yes.
- It's coming up right now!

It's totally coming up.

Yes, girl! Yes!

- [ Laughs ]
- Ohhhh!

- Oh, look at it!
- It's awesome.

Oh, our little
baby. We hit water!

Good job.

This is gonna save so
much energy down the road.

It's gonna be incredible.

The amount of firewood
that we need to gather

to boil our water
is significant,

so it was initial
investment of energy,

but now it's gonna save us
a lot of energy in the long run.

When I was about 3
inches into it... Laura: Yeah?

I was having silent second
thoughts in my head.

♪

Ugh! My balls are on fire. Ugh.

God, I wonder if I touched them

to one of these
poisonous leaves out here.

Ugh!

I've never tried this before,
but I'm gonna mud my nuts,

try to get rid of this burn.

Ah.

Ugh.

Ugh. There's so
many other things

I'd rather be doing right now

than holding cold mud
on my burning [bleep].

For those of you who
say "Naked and Afraid"

is not the real deal, screw you.

- Ooh! That rain is cold, huh?
- Freezing.

[ Thunder crashes ]

Man!

Narrator: Laura and Jeff are
being hit by the outer banks

of a category 5 super typhoon
300 miles north of them,

bringing destructive
160-mile-an-hour winds,

20-foot storm surges,

and life-threatening
flash floods.

For the last one hour,

we've been fighting
to save our cave

from complete inundation
by building up several dams.

Laura: We're exhausted.

Right there is where
I slept last night.

We have a little
patch of ground...

The one Laura's standing on.

That's all we have, and
then we're totally screwed.

I hope we make it
through the night.

♪

We have been hit by one of
the worst rainstorms imaginable.

Everything we've
built is underwater.

Oh, my gosh.

Right now, we're just
trying to keep the fire going

and protect what little
ground we have left.

We got a second fire going
up top on the rock over here

in case the flood waters
rise another 3 feet.

♪

♪

As of right now, we have
survived the typhoon,

but it has definitely
made a lasting mark.

It's so ironic that we're
in a freaking rainforest

in a torrential downpour,

and we can't drink
any of this water.

I mean, every drop of this water

is flowing through
a monkey's toilet.

We are not gonna
survive 60 days on these.

Laura: Being out
here for the long haul,

we need protein now

'cause if we get
behind the eight ball,

there's no way we
can make it to 60.

Jeff: This sucks.

The trail looks like
a different trail, huh?

Laura: There's so
much foliage down.

[Bleep] What the hell?

- That's our creek.
- No!

- Our well is gone.
- [Bleep]

- Everything's flooded here.
- Wow.

Jeff: It's not even
recognizable.

No more fishing
pole, no more well.

No!

I didn't expect the
well to be this bad.

I didn't expect everything to
be under 3 1/2 feet of water.

This isn't a stream
anymore. It's just a swamp.

Yep. [ Sighs ]

And now we've got to
boil this stagnant water.

Jeff: This feels demoralizing.

I put a lot of
energy into this well

that a typhoon has
completely destroyed.

It sets us back to zero.

Look. Even the snails are dead.

Laura: Things happen out here.

If you let yourself get down
because one setback happened,

you can't survive like that,

so being optimistic
out here is huge.

Give and take, for sure.

She giveth, and she taketh away.

Mother nature can
kiss my ass, Laura.

Jeff: Laura feels that
this is a friendly jungle.

Mother nature's not being
too friendly to me right now.

I think she's upset.

She wanted to upset us.

No.

If we don't find any food today,

we're not gonna be set
up for going 40 more.

With snakes, I think
we're just going to

have to keep an
eye out for them.

If it was a 21-day, sure,
I'd be out there all day

walking to try to increase
my odds of finding one,

but 60 days... like,
it's just [bleep] foolish.

All right. So, goals for
today other than not dying.

Go refill the water pot.

Get hydrated.

♪

Ouch.

I hate how this softens
up the soles of our feet...

- I know.
- All this water.

This rock is so fricking sharp.

I feel like we should look
for a water source closer.

Jeff: Now that the
well is destroyed,

it's even more important
to find a freshwater source.

So here's that
one little spring.

- There is a hill right there.
- Yeah.

Do you think it's
coming out of that hill?

- It might be.
- Let's check it out.

Jeff: We're thinking it's
runoff, but something told me,

"walk up that
hill. Check it out."

Jeff: It starts right here.

Definitely going through
the ground, right?

So should be filtered.

Because of the typhoon,
the water levels rose,

and it created the spring.

We could create a
spout pretty easy.

We could take funnel
leaves and dig this out

and jam the funnel
leaf into there.

This could be the
gift from mother nature

that she took away.

Jeff was cursing
at mother nature

because she'd taken away
the well we worked so hard for.

Thank you, mother nature.

So for me, seeing
this give and take

that mother nature
has with us...

It's a beautiful thing.

Jeff: It's muddy, but I know
that we can create a device

to collect this fresh water.

Ahh! Ahh! It's delicious.

This jungle really hasn't
provided a lot we could eat,

so we're definitely still
walking the snail trail

every day to water and
still pulling as many snails

because we haven't had a
real meal since we've been here.

♪

Jeff: Catching these
creatures is so difficult,

but, gosh, I want some meat.

Oh! Oh, whoops. Sorry.

I'm so hungry and tired.

So your stomach is hungry?

Mine, too. Yeah.

This is not gonna
sustain us for 60 days.

Ouch!

[Bleep]

Ugh. What the [bleep] is it?

It's, like, a millipede
or something.

- Is it, like, 3 inches long?
- Yeah.

My whole arm... I
can't [bleep] feel it

I think that's a centipede bite.

[Bleep] It's so bad.

Ugh.

So, I was literally just lying,
minding my own business

and got bit.

You never know. It
could've very easily

been one of those
10-inch deadly centipedes.

Laura: There it
is. Sorry, little guy.

I just can't have you biting
us when we're sleeping.

Jeff: Holy [bleep]! [Bleep]

Laura: Oh, my god.
It's another one.

Holy [bleep]. It's
a 10-inch one.

I'm not kidding.

- Okay.
- Hang on.

Wait. Wait. Wait. Let me get up.

Honestly, it hurts so bad.

I don't know what to do.

Yellow and red, yellow...

I couldn't tell.

Laura just got bit in
the head by a centipede.

Laura's in a lot of pain.
She's feeling dizzy.

My head really hurts right
now, so I'm really down.

I'm a little dizzy.

- It's gonna be okay.
- It hurts so bad.

Jeff: It's gonna be okay.

I think Laura just got bit in the
head by a 10-inch centipede,

the exact same size
of the deadly version.

Laura's in a lot of pain.
She's feeling dizzy.

It's imperative that
we find this thing

to be able to identify it.

There's two different kinds
a 7-inch non-deadly kind

and a 10-inch deadly centipede.

Jeff: It's gonna be okay,
Laura. It's gonna be okay.

- Okay.
- It's gonna be okay.

Yep, that's what I said.

I think this is just a
giant small version, okay?

They said the big
ones are 10 to 12,

and that one's maybe 7.

- All right.
- It's gonna be okay.

Jeff: This centipede
is about 7 inches long.

It's dark green and
yellow on its body

with a bright-red head.

Laura: It hurts so bad.

Fortunately, this is not the
deadly version of centipede,

which means Laura's
gonna be okay,

but she's gonna feel very
ill the remainder of the night.

Jeff: It's gonna be okay.

Just waking up in
the cave. I'm okay.

Just one more reminder
that anything can happen

here in the jungle. Things
can change in an instant.

I don't know. I feel lucky.

Could've been a lot worse.

What's the plan for today?

Now that you're okay,

we need to focus back on food,

so I would like to
throw a line in the water.

Absolutely.

Oh, I can't even
watch you right now.

My stomach is so nauseous.

Mm-hmm.

- We're looking skinny.
- We're looking skinny.

We're looking day-10 skinny.

Yeah, we got to find something.

I hope today is fruitful.

I would take anything
other than a snail.

I just saw a giant catfish.

And he lives in that hole.

- How's it coming?
- I saw a big fish.

- She travels in there.
- No way.

So I saw her go in that
hole, go in that hole.

She comes out and goes
in, comes out and goes in,

comes out and goes in.

Laura: She's the biggest
fish we've seen in here,

and I want to eat her so bad.

I'm gonna leave two
stationary hooks overnight.

Laura: There's
this little ray of hope

swimming around with a tail.

Maybe we should name it hope.

- Aw!
- Yep.

I can't wait to eat hope.

I can't wait to murder hope.

Go! Yeah!

This jungle is definitely
like playing chess.

Oh, yeah!

Just when you get a win...

You should almost
expect the jungle

to come and kick
you in the face.

You know, it's just
one thing after another.

Aghhhh!

The mosquitoes are hell!

It's just been a
constant oscillation

between wins and fails.

No luck in hope hole.

Hope is what we really need.

The only convenient thing is,

these streams leave nice
trails through the jungle.

Laura: We're not
getting enough food in.

We are completely wiped.

We need to get more
calories in us every day

because pulling
snails off of trees...

Not gonna sustain
us for 60 days.

We don't just need to
maintain at this point.

We need to put energy
back into us from what we lost.

♪

[ Whispering ] The
water is very clear today,

so I have to be sure
that the fish don't see me.

Otherwise, they're
not gonna want to bite.

[ Normal voice ] This
jungle... it's limited.

Our energy levels
continue to go downhill.

What we need right now
is a very protein-rich meal.

Ouch!

Ohhhh! Ugh.

These mosquitoes suck right now.

Ow! Ugh!

So, no luck. Nothing
in the fish basket.

With a wonderful meal
that will help Laura and I

prepare for our next move.

We are both very hungry,
and this is very difficult.

60 days is an
unbelievable challenge.

♪

Laura: It is pouring rain again.

Every bit of rain we get
is gonna make relocating

exponentially more difficult.

This sucks.

♪

Jeff: This trail is getting bad.

Like, not only are
we expending energy,

we are also risking...

- A lot.
- Serious foot damage.

Laura: Yeah.

This is where
flesh-eating bacteria lives.

This is where fungus
lives. Like, my goodness.

Ooh, there we go.

Man, I'm really
hoping for a big fatty-o.

Jeff: Laura and I... we've
been working really hard,

and we've been
burning a lot of energy,

and tomorrow
we're hitting the trail

to find a new environment.

We are beginning an "XL"
challenge 21 days weaker,

21 days more famished, and
the entire thing is unknown.

Yeah, it makes
you a little nervous.

It's all a gamble
out here, right?

Yeah.

Laura: It's always
risky to move.

That being said, you
have to be hopeful,

so this is the last time
we're gonna visit hope hole.

there's sharks in there?

There's poisonous snakes.

James: One bite, you're dead.
It's not out of the challenge.

It's at the graveyard.

This is like a desert
made of water.

One wrong step can actually
end your challenge immediately.

- Snail time.

People pay a lot of
money to have this meal.

Laura: It's true.

What do you think
would be better...

Boiled snails or steamed snails?

Because we could add,
like, 1/2 inch of water

in the bottom of this.
Yeah, we could steam them.

I like the idea of that.

'Cause I think if we boil them,

they're gonna taste like
a testicle or something.

for the jungle
and for my partner.

Wow. We're so far
deep in the jungle.

Yeah, and there's our "x."

Is that, like, a boat?

Some kind of vessel, for sure.

Narrator: Jeff and Laura
have a challenging 12-mile trek

through dense
jungle to biwott beach.

Then they must paddle
the boat across open ocean,

where they'll begin their
40-day "XL" challenge

along with 12
other survivalists.

Well, it seems like the
only way to get there

is completely away
from this rock face.

It's gonna be a tough trip.

That's a lot of jungle to cover.

Long journey ahead, but...

Long journey. We got this.

Laura: We have a
long walk ahead of us.

We're gonna be in
thick mud, thorns.

We have no idea
what lies beyond that.

All we know is,
it's gonna be hard.

It's gonna be long.

We just got to push through it.

Narrator: Jeff and Laura
will need to beware of snakes,

like the reticulated python

that can attack humans
and kill by constriction,

and the giant black scorpion,
which grows up to 7 inches long

and has venom that can cause
severe pain and loss of vision.

I remember when this hill
didn't even feel like a hill.

Now it feels like a mountain.

Man, finding a good water source

wherever we're going is
gonna be a major priority.

That's the only thing
that concerns me

about going to the coast.

This is where we got
to start to watch our feet.

Laura: Yeah.

Jeff: This trek is exhausting.

We are hacking our
way through this jungle,

mud halfway up our calves.

We're slipping every step,
trying not to injure ourself.

Then we got to cross a creek,

a couple ravines,
thick vegetation.

This is not easy.

Oh, this sucks.

Ow!

- Yes!
- It's the ocean!

This boat... it's definitely
typical for this area

of Southeast Asia.

I've never crafted one
of these things before.

This is gonna

There's no way we're

but we've never come into a
40-day challenge already weak.

ocean in front of us.

We have no idea
what's out there.

This is gonna be one
heck of a challenge.

a 21-day challenge,

and now we're
rolling right into 40,

so it's gonna be a
different ball game.

We're definitely gonna
have to look out for each other

in terms of making sure

that our energy
expenditure is not overmaxed

because we are so exhausted.

And the world's most venomous
sea snakes haunt the coral reef.

Narrator: Razor-sharp reefs
and a coastline of volcanic rock

prevent the boats
form landing onshore,

forcing the survivalists
to enter the deadly waters

and swim to land.

James: I am terrified
of what's there.

but I'm hoping I'm
gonna be able to say,

after 40 days, that
I can come out here

with the 20-somethings
and kick butt just like they do.

here, there's sharks.

There are sea snakes.

They can all kill you.

and I am terrified of the ocean.

There's a lot of big things

so I'm actually scared.

prepares to disembark

under the looming shadow
of a 200-foot cliff base.

and deep waters swimming

We are perched like
a couple of seagulls

on the only dry part
of this rock right now.

This is one hell of a way

to start out a 40-day challenge.

The waves are coming
in hard and heavy.

It's insane right now.

We're not sure if this
island goes under or not.

If we get swept off this rock,

we are at the mercy
of mother nature,

We didn't know if we

It was an insane night,

and seeing the sun come

still face a four-mile journey
along the barren coastline

to reach their
beach destination.

Duke: Last night's
sleep sucked pretty bad.

We got to camp so late.

We're just fighting against
what little bit of twilight

we have left to make a
fire and sleep on the sand.

Day 2, our two
priorities are first water,

and then shelter.

- What you thinking?
- That I hurt.

James: I got a
pretty bad headache.

I'm feeling pretty miserable.

So finding water is, I mean,
seriously important for me.

Hmm. That didn't feel good.

We have to explore these rocks

and just kind of walk the
edge, where it meets the jungle.

Narrator: Without a
freshwater stream nearby,

the survivalists must
search the rocky shore

for signs of an
underground wellspring

or pools of collected rainwater.

James: Is there any
water seeping out of there?

Duke: It looks pretty moist.

I mean, I don't
see a drip, per se,

but it is moist back
there, not from tides.

Gabrielle: I'm very
confident in the partners

that I have been paired up with.

Their skills and their depth
of knowledge is just awesome.

I need to get out of here.

Both of my prior challenges,

neither of my partners were able

to complete the
challenge with me.

I think I'm the black widow
of "Naked and Afraid."

No man wants to stay with
me more than seven days,

so I really want our
group to stay together.

and most aggressive in the world,

the Palawan island centipede

will strike
anything in its path.

A single bite to a human
can cause intense pain

and acute hypertension,
leading to cardiac arrest.

away from our shelter area.

So the opportunity for

Yep. When you're at the source,

and you're in this
sort of environment,

where you know it's a
limestone-dominated area,

where you have all of that
filtration systems going on,

your chances are
pretty minuscule.

this water's not contaminated?
