[ Episode 15 ]

4

Manager Wu. I'm actually here to ask you a favor.

5

Aida really wants to enter Danzi Plaza.

6

We can talk about the terms later.

7

Although I think highly of you two,

8

But I have my concerns.

9

Danzi Plaza has many hard requirements on brands.

10

At this moment, Aida is not qualified.

11

Manager Wu, we totally understand your concerns.

12

- Manager Li is a young elite who just came back to Linhai City.

- It's OK.

13

Even if we don't close the deal. We can still be friends.

14

I have a plan.

15

- What plan?

- Since Aida is not prestigious enough,

16

why can we borrow from another force?

17

- What do you mean?

- Do you know Fancy?

18

It's an American fashion brand. The founder is a famous Chinese American named Don.

19

They had been searching for designers in China a while ago, aiming to start a subline in China.

20

Why can't Aida give it a try?

21

Will it work?

22

How do we know if it'll work or not if we don't try?

23

But we don't know Don.

24

That's not a problem. Our magazine interviewed him a few years back.

25

I can get his number very fast for you.

26

Hello, Cindy. Can you get the number of Don, the founder of Fancy for me?

27

Can you do your best, OK? I'm waiting for the good news.

28

If we can talk to Don. Then we can schedule a meeting with Manager Wu again.

29

Have you finished reading the plan? If anyone has questions or opinions, please let me know.

30

We don't need to wait for Manager Li?

31

He has something to tackle today. He won't be here. Let's get started first.

32

Our most fundamental requirement is to finish the order fast and efficiently and make money for Aida.

33

Lin Qian, we understand where you came from with your design.

34

But it's a matter of execution. We need to be practical.

35

Sorry to interrupt.

36

Manager asked me to do some research on Ankada's uniforms over the years.

37

From her sample, it's in line with the data.

38

Simeiqi's "Goddess in the Cloud" contest is a very concrete promoting event.

39

But personally I don't find this plan very attractive.

40

In a word, we want to know why it's necessary to use a specific sort of fabric.

41

OK. Let me do a demo for you.

42

- Yayi.

- Here.

43

Halt. Turn right.

44

Leaders, hello.

45

Turn around. March.

46

Sir, how I can help you?

47

Look, this is a flight attendant's most common posture.

48

Comfortable cut on the waist has to be curve fitting.

49

But the skirt has to go over the knee.

50

So its safe.

51

The passenger's luggage is usually more than 5 kg.

52

When the flight attendant is pushing the suitcase, her shoulder will bear the force.

53

So the cut on the shoulder needs to include Liuqing thread.

54

Some passengers will have overweight luggage up to 45 kg.

55

To carry such a heavy suitcase, the fabric is the key.

56

We need to use elastic fabric. So the clothes won't break

57

or become ripped during movement.

58

So it's easy to make pretty clothes. But making it pretty is not our final goal.

59

Getting it done fast and efficiently is also not our goal. We only have one goal,

60

which is let people who wear the uniform everyday comfortable and care-free.

61

Manager Wu is so interesting. The moment he heard about we working with Fancy,

62

he agreed to rent us the storefront in Danzi Plaza.

63

Looks like Don is very important.

64

This is the power of a good brand.

65

Hopefully we can succeed.

66

I'm going back to the company. Today we are having the proposal meeting on the Ankada project.

67

- Lin Qian is going to present her work.

- You haven't told Lin Qian?

68

This is what my plan is. I want to wait until the dust settles.

69

Until then, I hope she can do things she like.

70

I don't want her to be bothered by the business cheating.

71

Hopefully, the surprise won't be a shock for her.

72

If anything happens, please let me know. So I can have a good laugh as well.

73

Lin Qian has explained her design philosophy

74

to everybody in details.

75

Any question now?

76

If there's no question, let's start the vote.

77

Those who approve of Lin Qian's plan, raise your hand.

78

Sorry, I'm late.

79

I've read Lin Qian's plan. I think it's amazing.

80

Let's go with it.

81

Give me a finished biding document before the end of day.

82

You've been working hard today. If it weren't for your demo in the end,

83

who knows what the result would be? I'm sure Manager Li has seen your good performance.

84

- Maybe you'll be praised soon.

- Awesome.

85

It' called preparing for 1000 days to perform in one day.

86

- That's right.

- Speaking of Manager Li, it occurred to me that

87

when he came back to see your plan,

88

he was so out of breath. You guys saw it as well, right?

89

He clearly came back only to support you.

90

Did you feel a bit touched and moved?

91

Okay, okay. I'm very moved.

92

Then I hope we can keep working hard

93

until we sign the final contract. Let's move Manager Li with our action, ok?

94

Awesome. This is our duty.

95

- For the Ankada project, let's work hard together!

- Go for it!

96

Li...

97

Yayi, don't bother me. I need to finish it before 7 pm and submit it.

98

♫ When love came, there was a special kind of tenderness ♫

99

♫ I'm not sure if it's impulsiveness or affection. ♫

100

Tell me the truth. Do you want to start a new brand right now?

101

I'm still thinking about it.

102

But I'll make it happen soon.

103

So you've been busy on this. No wonder you didn't pay much attention to

104

the Ankada project.

105

Good spots in a good business plaza needs to be booked in advance.

106

We need to get prepared. And you'll be in charge of the design.

107

That's not a problem. I only want to let you know,

108

I have to finish the Ankada project well first,

109

then I can start the design on the new brand. As a designer, I can't be distracted.

110

♫ Forgot to shed the tears. ♫

111

Do you think it's better to go with single breasted or double breasted?

112

Yayi, help me out.

113

Yayi.

114

I think single breasted style is better.

115

♫ I believe ♫

116

♫ I believe you'll understand ♫

117

You don't have to submit the plan now.

118

Tomorrow is fine.

119

Go back home earlier.

120

♫ Until a while later ♫

121

♫ We will sit together in the black and white ♫

122

♫ picture frame. ♫

123

Chief Wu, I'm sorry for letting you wait so long.

124

Why were you so urgently looking for me?

125

I actually wanted to tell you on the phone,

126

But I think it's better to tell you in person.

127

What actually happened?

128

About the storefront.

129

My boss Manager Zheng gave the storefront to the Zhu Group.

130

Wha...Wha... How could that be?

131

Did Zhu Hanchong talk to you?

132

Zhu Boyun did.

133

I didn't expect the storefront in Danzi Plaza would be taken so easily.

134

Chairman, you surely have an extensive network.

135

Many times, the stuff we fight so hard for

136

can be easily tackle by you with a word or two.

137

Sometimes simple stuff

138

has things behind that you can't see.

139

That's right. We have to give up on the storefront in Danzi Plaza.

140

I didn't expect Ning Weikai to make a move so fast.

141

It's my mistake. Sorry.

142

This matter can't be blamed on you.

143

There should be lots of other good options. Let's think about it.

144

I'll try my best to follow up on Don. Don't worry.

145

I don't believe that I won't be good in things I want to do.

146

After I graduated, I stayed in the art school.

147

At that time there was a students work that left a deep impression on me.

148

Later he passed the exam as I predicted.

149

But after the offer letter got sent out,

150

There hasn't been a reply.

151

I asked the driver to look for him at school.

152

And I found out his offer letter

153

was ripped apart by someone secretly.

154

He was lucky. I informed him on time

155

so he could get into college.

156

Chairman, you've helped so many people.

157

I didn't helped anyone but myself.

158

Those who can go to university are not ordinary people.

159

I'm not talking about someone else. Let's just say I was talking about that student earlier.

160

He is chief Zheng right now.

161

Looks like i have a lot to learn from the chairman.

162

Don't be too polite.

163

But I still need to sincerely tell you.

164

If it was changed in someone else.

165

I wouldn't have bothered to

166

ask my old friend for help.

167

Because when I look at you. It remind me of that time when I looked at Chief Zheng.

168

You are all people who can succeed.

169

Thanks a lot for your help.

170

Not just help. I trust you.

171

When you're in the business world for a while,

172

you will know how valuable

173

trust can be.

174

What are you doing?

175

Why can you suddenly open the USB drive?

176

Didn't you tell me it was broken in Yunnan?

177

I've fixed it.

178

But all the pictures are all gone.

179

There have been a few more folders. But I can't open them.

180

Look, I can't open it. It feels so weird.

181

Smells good.

182

You did good.

183

We finally got Lin Qian's location.

184

Right. This is the location.

185

[ Aida Group ]

186

♫ It's still dark outside. ♫

187

What's the matter?

188

♫ The smoke has blurred my view. ♫

189

The result was bad?

190

The deal is off.

191

♫ But my affection ♫

192

Not getting the storefront in Danzi Plaza...Is it a big deal for the company?

193

♫ The moment you smiled. ♫

194

There were so many sacrifices but it was all for nothing.

195

In the beginning it was all hard work.

196

In the end there wasn't hope.

197

♫ Such a sweet scene. ♫

198

Is it that funny?

199

I've never imagened Aida's Group prince Li.

200

can be so upset like this.

201

What kind of person am I in your heart?

202

It's not the you right now.

203

♫ The bed is empty. ♫

204

♫ The lonliness lingers. ♫

205

I used to think although I knew nothing about the clothing industry,

206

as long as I tried hard, I would succeed.

207

In the end, I still put the company in a bad situation.

208

♫ The house we hid in. ♫

209

♫ And the sunny days. ♫

210

Do you know,

211

There is actually an energy balance rule in this universe.

212

As long as you work hard,

213

time will give you the best rewards.

214

Although we can't control everything,

215

as long as you aim at your goal,

216

the enemy will be destroyed. Nothing can stop you.

217

That's why I thought I had to get on it even if Aida was a sinking ship.

218

Because I believe in you.

219

♫ The black keys separated us. ♫

220

♫ The time was stopped by the fingertip. ♫

221

♫ Who can mute the world? ♫

222

♫ Who can mute the world? ♫

223

[ Style Fashion ]

224

Chief Cheng, we have been waiting for you.

225

Our bidding team is waiting for you upstairs.

226

You'll definitely see what you want to see in New Baorui today.

227

This way Chief Cheng.

228

As long as you aim at your goal.

229

your enemies will be destroyed. Nothing can stop you.

230

That's why I thought I got to get on it

231

even if Aida was a sinking ship.

232

Because I believe in you.

233

-Morning.

-Morning.

234

How is it? How do I look today?

235

Is it pretty or not?

236

Pretty, pretty.

237

Why haven't you changed your clothes yet?

238

Hurry up! Chief Cheng will be here soon.

239

What's the matter?

240

Chief Cheng, won't be coming.

241

Why won't he come?

242

It means we've given up on the bidding.

243

Why?

244

The project is too big and too complicated for Aida.

245

We can't do it.

246

That can't be.

247

As long as Manager Cheng approves our design, anything is possible.

248

We can loan money from banks and individuals if money is a problem.

249

But the production issue can't be solved within a month, understand?

250

But we can't give up just because you say so.

251

Look, when we were trying to get the Mingsheng project,

252

the hardship was just as big.

253

But we pulled through.

254

Everything can be solved.

255

Sorry.

256

When did you decide to give up on the Ankada project?

257

After Manager Cheng showed me the terms.

258

But you...

259

Why haven't you told me?

260

You've been seeing me working hard and late everyday trying to get the project.

261

You didn't say a word.

262

Do you think my hard work is a big joke?

263

I thought Aida will have many other projects.

264

Even if we give up on Ankada's project, you can still work on other projects.

265

They are two different matters!

266

I'm a designer. I love my work and I'm responsible for my work.

267

Ankada's project is my heart and soul.

268

How can I give up so easily?

269

Sorry.

270

Now you say you want to give up. So all my hard work has been in vain?

271

Even if we give up on Ankada, we will have other projects.

272

Go work on it yourself.

273

You've ruined New Baorui this time.

274

Can you use your brain before you do something?

275

Don't you know Manager Cheng is old-fashioned?

276

He doesn't want his daughter to be to high-profile.

277

How could I know it?

278

Even if you don't know their family life,

279

at least you will know he's involved with people from the headquarter.

280

You've made Cheng Meizi's commercial

281

literally everywhere. You're forcing him to draw the line.

282

You want to kiss his ass but you end up biting the dust!

283

Chairman, it's my fault. I should've paid more attention.

284

I failed to control the commercial release situation in the company.

285

Ning Weikai,

286

now you act like the wise man.

287

Where were you then?

288

Enough. You always blame other people.

289

Okay, it's my fault.

290

Naive!

291

Chairman, don't be so mad.

292

Maybe it's not as bad you think.

293

Tell me why.

294

Now Simeiqi's production lines are all

295

going to be trapped by Ankada's order.

296

But the May 20th shopping festival is coming soon.

297

Such a vacancy is a big opportunity.

298

Now Aida is investing so much on their store

299

and new brand, aiming to get into the market.

300

That's exactly what they want.

301

As long as we stop Aida from starting their new brand.

302

I believe we will definitely win the May 20th shopping festival war.

303

You and Li Zhicheng

304

are both elites.

305

However, he doesn't have someone so powerful to back him up like you do.

306

Go do it. I support you.

307

Chairman, thank you.

308

The May 20th shopping festival

309

will be the best chance to stop Aida.

310

Don't lose the opportunity.

311

Got it.

312

Ankada Flight Attendant Uniform Bidding Document

313

It's such a big gift. Tell me how much.

314

Manager Chen, you don't trust me? Haven't we already worked together before?

315

It's different.

316

Previously we were fighting against Aida. We had the same enemy.

317

What are you trying to do today?

318

Manager Chen,

319

sometimes it's hard to make everything clear.

320

If I'm in the same shoes as you're in Simeiqi,

321

not having problem of doing lots of things, why would I need you to lend me a hand?

322

Lending you a hand? To attack the enemies and maintain your base?

323

That's a bad analogy.

324

I'm just trying to balance the force within New Baorui.

325

You're so bold.

326

What about Zhu Boyun?

327

How can I do what I want if I don't get rid of the obstacles?

328

I'll take the gift.

329

Good. Hope you can succeed tomorrow.

330

Come here, I have good news to tell you.

331

We've taken the Ankada project.

332

Awesome!

333

You've been working hard lately.

334

Before you get off work, go to the financial department

335

and get your bonus, ok?

336

Awesome!

337

We lost the bid together so we should bear the consequence together.

338

That's right, Ms. Lin. We just started to get a hand of it.

339

You don't want to keep teaching us?

340

Right, Qian Qian. If you leave,

341

what will Aida and Manager Li do?

342

He doesn't need me at all.

343

Sister Lin Qian, don't be mad. Let's talk it through.

344

If this project doesn't work, the next might will.

345

- Right?

- That's right.

346

There will be no next project.

347

Don't say that. Can you think about it again? Don't go.

348

Sister Qian Qian.

349

Qian Qian, stop crying.

350

Gather around.

351

What are you doing?

352

Ms. Lin, without Manager Li's order,

353

we won't let you go.

354

That's right.

355

We are not involved anymore.

356

My contract is up.

357

He's no longer my boss and I'm no longer his employee.

358

Don't use his name against me.

359

Don't be mad, sister.

360

I'm not mad.

361

You're all amazing.

362

It's my decision to leave.

363

Don't let my decision affect your work.

364

Move.

365

Move now!

366

Stop bullying me.

367

Qian Qian!

368

If you quit, I'll quit. Wait for me!

369

Get on the car. I'll give you a ride.

370

I can just walk.

371

What happened to you?

372

Qian Qian, what's going on?

373

You can tell me everything.

374

I'm your senior fellow apprentice. Even if I can't solve your prblem,

375

if you tell me, you'll feel better.

376

I've invested so much in this project.

377

Because I think most design these days

378

only focus on the look

379

but ignore people's health.

380

I hope my design can make some change.

381

I also hope through my hard work,

382

my company can get the project.

383

But today, I was told the company has given up on it.

384

I feel like such a fool.

385

Nobody cares about my feelings.

386

Maybe in other people's eyes, my work didn't matter.

387

It's such a big strike for me.

388

I'm very disappointed in the company and myself.

389

Are you talking about the Ankada order?

390

Simeiqi has gotten the Ankada order.

391

So don't overthink.

392

I know, you invested 100% on the design.

393

But business is business.

394

Sometimes it's purely out of interest. You've done your best.

395

But in the end, design

396

sometimes is not the most important factor.

397

Don't lose hope on yourself because of it.

398

But we can always learn from our mistakes.

399

It's still a good chance for you to grow.

400

Let's go.

401

Senior fellow apprentice, thank you.

402

I've told you so much. I feel better now.

403

Why being so polite? We were just like this when we were in college.

404

I want to go back to college so badly. It was a simpler time.

405

Well, don't over think.

406

Let's go. Let me walk you out.

407

Let's go!

408

Who are you?

409

Doesn't matter. Go!

410

Go!

411

- Go!

- Senior fellow apprentice!

412

Go!

413

Senior fellow apprentice!

414

Senior fellow apprentice! Senior fellow apprentice!

415

Who are you? What are you trying to do?

416

Where is it?

417

What are you talking about? I have no idea.

418

The USB drive.

419

USB drive? What USB drive?

420

What are you trying to do?

421

- Senior fellow apprentice!

- Where is the USB drive?

422

Senior fellow apprentice...

423

USB drive...

424

USB drive...

425

USB drive... USB drive...

426

Now you can open the USB drive?

427

Didn't you tell me it's broken in Yunnan?

428

But the photos are all gone.

429

There are a few more folders. But I can't open them.

430

Kill him.

431

No! No! I l know where it is.

432

Where is it?

433

Lin Qian

434

[ Li Cheng ]

435

The number you dialed is busy. Please try again later.

436

Qian Qian.

437

- Senor fellow apprentice.

- Hurry.

438

Sit!

439

Are you OK?

440

Go find it.

441

How can I look for it when my hands are tied?

442

Untie her.

443

If you pull any tricks,

444

I'll kill him.

445

Don't use me to threaten her.

446

I'll find it.

447

No.

448

Hurry!

449

Are you fooling me?

450

Li Zhicheng.

451

Li Zhicheng, take it!

452

Run!

453

Trying to run?
