General Thomas Moore, a veteran of
World War I and a career Marine, has made

the ultimate climb from buck private
in 1912 to the rank of two-star general.

This fine career officer, who knows
what it's like to be a mud Marine,

is flying to Washington to receive
the plaudits of a grateful nation.

Meanwhile, fighting men
