Recently, a lot of attention has been paid
to Avdiivka, as it was earlier with Bakhmut,

whose story is not over yet. Here
and now, analyzing the latest news,

I come to the conclusion that not everything will
not be so rosy in Avdiivka, but there is a nuance.

The day before yesterday, an absolute daily record
of destruction of enemy personnel in the number of

1,380 occupants was set. Also, there were very
high figures of destroyed Russian equipment.

Despite the fact that all these figures are
the total result for the entire combat zone,

not just Avdiivka, it is Avdiivka that
accounts for most of the enemy's losses.

It would seem to be very positive figures, but
in fact they are alarming. Because they indicate

that the Russian command does not intend to stop,
and in this case they will send meat waves into

battle, one after another. The price of victory,
however localized, is of no consequence to them.

When the Russian troops launched
their offensive on October 7,

it would seem that after the first
results of this suicide mission,

they should have taken a considerable
pause to restore combat capability.

Instead, however, they moved their most
combat-ready brigade to Avdiivka from the

direction of the Lyman-Kupiansk axis,
where the Russian offensive is also

beginning. What is the logic behind
these actions and what do they mean?

The decision of the Russian command indicates
that Avdiivka is of particular importance

to them and they intend to continue to
put pressure on its flanks. The latest

attempted offensive and record losses in
recent days only confirm this strategy.

That is, the Russian command will now focus
on Avdiivka, as in its time on Bakhmut,

which means that a significant resource will
be focused on this town. This, in theory,

will allow the Ukrainian Liberation Forces
to realize quite bold scenarios in other

directions. But, to all appearances, the
Russian command does not care much about this.

Let me remind you that in 2022, most
of Kharkiv Oblast and the right-bank

part of Kherson Oblast were liberated when
Russian troops were advancing on Bakhmut.

Avdiivka is a powerful fortification, although
it has its flaws and vulnerabilities. But to

crack it the enemy will need a lot more
resources than are now concentrated near

the city. Where they'll take it from and
weaken it further is a rhetorical question.

But the fact that they will go for it and
are already doing it is more than obvious.

It also became known that the Ukrainian
side has transferred 47 brigade of Magura

near Avdiivka. Here is what one
of the fighters says: "Yesterday,

we repelled the enemy from an important
forest strip. The first group, where I was,

managed to get a grip on the trench of the
enemy and immediately entered the battle

in two directions. The second group also went
in, into another trench, destroyed the enemy,

but it was knocked out of there by the
pulled up enemy reserves. The third group

took a heavy battle and almost completely
perished at the beginning of the operation.

We were lucky many times that day. But

not everyone who participated
in this operation was lucky".

Lots of video and statistics of enemy casualties
today, but there are no statistics on the

sacrifices made. For each figure someone's
life, and destroyed the universe of relatives.

This sadness remains predominantly in the
families of the dead and their brethren.
