[Wu Xin The Monster Killer]

Episode 19

Are you scared?

Then don't watch me.

Here, let me carry them.

Hurry up! We won't be in time to finish making lunch!

We've already missed lunch for so many days.

It doesn't matter if we miss another one today.

Are you holding it against me for not making you meals a few days ago?

I wouldn't dare to say that.

You don't dare to? You're obviously being petty!

I don't even have a heart, so how could I be petty-minded?

But... Even if you call me petty

remember all our quarrels and pain as well as our love and romance.

Yue Ya, as long as you stay by my side

I'm sure that I'll remember everything when I wake up.

All right, I'll stop talking.

We'll go home now.

Let's go.

What are you doing? Put me down! Put me down now!

It's faster to get home like this.

Off we go!

Put me down!

We're going home!

You can't even catch a few chickens? Brats.

You still want to be my guards? Why don't you go home and suckle?

Hurry up!

You can't even catch a chicken.

Hurry up.

Stop it!

Yue Ya. You've made up?

It's great that you've made up! Now I get to have meals!

Stop it right now! Tidy this place up!

You'll get meals if you tidy it up. If you don't, you won't get fed! Quickly!

- Yes! - You have such big headquarters

but it's not enough for Gu Guo Qiang?

You mess around at ours every day? And you still want meals? Dream on!

- Get lost! - Dharma Master...

Yue Ya! Dharma Master!

- Get lost! - Yue Ya, don't get mad!

Get lost!

Get lost!

- Get out! - Don't get mad, Yue Ya!

Get out!

Yue Ya!

I won't come without gifts next time. Will that do?

Listen to me, Yue Ya!

Get lost!

Sir, your Yue Ya lass is really quite a shrew.

Can you call her Yue Ya lass?

Enough of your nonsense!

Call her Madame!

Gu Xuan Wu often leaves Wen County to go to Wu Xin's house.

He doesn't bring a lot of men with him.

Go and keep an eye outside Wu Xin's house for me.

- Tell me when you see Gu. - Yes!

What's wrong?

I have a terrible toothache.

It's my fault. I'm so useless.

I couldn't let you get enough rest for such a long time.

You even had to flee with me to this shabby hut.

I can't even get you a doctor.

Don't say such useless words.

After you kill Gu Xuan Wu, it's not too late to take me to a doctor.

- Leave two men to guard the door. - Yes!

The two of you stay here.

Yue Ya!

Dharma Master.

Here!

You're not scared that Yue Ya might drive you out again?

What have I got to be scared of?

That old lass is easy to please.

I got her a brood of chicks and now she'll be happy for a while.

Don't drink too much.

Dharma Master, here.

Have some.

We're drinking it like that?

How is that not all right?

This is Western liquor. It's good alcohol.

Listen.

When you and Yue Ya fought, I was worried sick.

Isn't it? I was worried sick myself.

Isn't it great now that you've made up? That's worth celebrating.

Here, have a drink.

We'll drink till we drop!

By the way, Zhang Xian Zong is still at large

and the battle hasn't ended.

As the leading commander, aren't you worried that

things might go wrong if you end up drunk here?

What Zhang or Liu or Li Xian Zong?

I have money, soldiers, and guns!

Would I be scared of him?

You have no idea. Wen County is now under my airtight supervision.

Would that good-for-nothing Zhang Xian Zong come running here?

If he dares to come over, I'll kill him! Here, drink up!

Xiao Chun Zi...

Xiao Chun Zi!

Chun Zi, I miss you...

Drink! Hurry up!

Sober up.

I'm not leaving!

I'm going to sleep here!

I'm just going to sleep here. No one is to touch me.

I don't care. He can't sleep on my bed.

I won't agree to this even if you do.

- Xiao Chun Zi... - Wang!

- Carry your brigade commander home. - Yes.

Go on.

- You two... - Brigade Commander.

Listen to my command.

- Let's go back. - Stand right there.

- Brigade Commander. - Where are we going? I'm not leaving!

No place is as comfortable as here!

- We'll get back to headquarters. - Stop fussing! I'll stay a bit longer.

- I'll stay here a bit longer. - Isn't it nicer to sleep at home?

- Why don't we come back tomorrow? - What about this?

Carry him to the guest room in the west chambers.

The bed in there is already warmed up.

- Don't worry. - Here.

Brigade Commander, here. Let's get you to the other room.

I'm waiting for Yue Qi Luo and Zhang Xian Zong!

- If they come here, I'll kill them! - We'll kill them, all right?

Get some rest inside. We'll take your shift for a while.

What is it? Brigade Commander isn't going home today?

He's already too drunk and insists on staying.

I think he feels the most at ease in this place.

Keep watch out here first. We'll come over to take your shift later.

Commander.

Gu Xuan Wu got drunk at Wu Xin's place.

He's sleeping there right now. He only has a few soldiers with him.

- He's really drunk? - Yes.

Stay here to look after Ms. Yue.

Yes.

You mustn't wake her up. Let her get a good rest.

Yes.

Wu Xin!

Yue Ya!

Wu Xin! Yue Ya!

Wu Xin! Yue Ya!

Wu Xin! Yue Ya! Run!

Quickly! Come with me!

Go!

- Quickly! - Be careful!

Wu Xin!

Wu Xin!

Wu Xin!

Wu Xin!

Yue Ya!

Wu Xin!

- Dharma Master! Quickly! - How are you feeling?

I'll carry you! Get on!

Slowly!

Yue Ya! Follow closely!

Commander...

Slower.

Run slower.

- It hurts! - You're an old immortal!

Stop all this nonsense!

When we get back to Wen County...

We have nothing to fear once we get to Wen County!

Wu Xin, does it hurt very badly?

I'll be fine very soon.

I'm just worried that after you shot Zhang Xian Zong

Yue Qi Luo will seek revenge.

We'll have to be more careful.

Stop saying all this nonsense now.

You're both my lucky stars.

When we get to Wen County, I'll surely treat you both

to good food and drinks.

Moreover, the three of us finally get to live together!

Slower!

Slower!

- It hurts! - It hurts!

- Leave us. - Yes.

Why didn't you tell me that you went to kill Gu Xuan Wu?

I wanted to help you.

I wanted to help you get rid of them.

Qi Luo...

Any man would protect the woman he loves.

It's a pity that...

I'm too weak to you.

I didn't help you with anything.

Now...

Even...

I can't even take care of you.

Foolish!

You can't die.

Qi Luo. Am I dead?

That's right.

Then why...

I've forced your soul to stay in your body.

Although you still have your consciousness

this body is already dead.

In order to slow down the decomposition of your body

I have to handle your body in some way.

Qi Luo... Will I become just like your paper dolls now?

You're still different from them.

The paper dolls are but pieces of paper.

They only have some fragments of scattered soul on them.

They have no brains or thoughts.

They are just my puppets.

You're still different from them.

Don't worry. I'll protect your soul.

If your body rots away too much to be used

I'll find you a new body.

Then you can always stay with me.

I'm not worthy of having you make such efforts for me.

That's not up to you to decide.

Do you know I'm keeping you?

Because I want to give you a chance to seek revenge yourself.

Li Yue Ya snatched away the man I love and killed the man who loves me.

She has to die!

We'll find a place to recuperate first.

After we've regained our energy, we'll look for an opportunity.

Qi Luo, you're too tired.

I'll find you some things to nourish your body.

Ghost...

Ghost!

Don't come closer!

Don't come closer!

No. Don't kill me.

Don't kill me.

- Isn't that the ninth mistress? - Ninth Mistress?

Isn't that Zhang Xian Zong?

- Yue Qi Luo? - Commander Zhang!

Zhang Xian Zong?

Be careful.

- Don't get that plate chipped. - Yes.

- Carry that steadily. - Yes!

Be careful with that up there!

Fortunately, Bai Liu Li rescued us last night

or else we probably wouldn't have made it out alive.

Does he know that we're here?

Don't worry, he will.

Why do you forsake that apartment to squeeze in here with us?

You don't find it messy here?

Yue Ya! You don't understand.

What is this called?

This is called troubled times.

If we live together, it's easier for me to summon the troops

and it's easier to protect you.

What is that called?

Use all the strength at once. Pile all the good things together.

Don't worry. As long as I'm here

I'll never let Dharma Master take another bullet.

Dharma Master.

Brigade Commander.

What is it? Tell me quickly.

We arrested Zhang Xian Zong's subordinate.

Did he tell you where Zhang is hiding?

He didn't.

Sir, that man seems to have gone insane.

Gone insane?

Ghost...

Don't come near me.

Don't touch me!

Open up the gate!

Ghost!

Don't touch me!

Don't come near me! Don't touch me!

Don't touch me!

Speak up! Where is Zhang Xian Zong?

Zhang Xian Zong... He's dead!

No... Zhang Xian Zong is a ghost! A ghost!

Stop pretending to be insane! Where is Zhang Xian Zong?

Zhang Xian Zong is a ghost! A ghost!

Get up!

- Don't touch me! - Speak up!

- Don't eat me! - Where is Zhang Xian Zong?

Speak up!

Eat me! Ghost!

Clean up the corpse.

Yes.

Why do I think that he was just pretending to be insane?

If it was just an act, why would he kill himself?

When Yue Ya shot Zhang Xian Zong, did you see it clearly?

She shot him right in the chest.

In theory, he would definitely be dead.

But judging by how that soldier behaved, it didn't seem to be that simple.

If what he said was true

Yue Qi Luo must have done something to Zhang Xian Zong.

This won't do. I have to visit Chu Chen Zi immediately.

If he still doesn't finish the charm

who knows what evildoing that little monster might be up to?

- Brigade Commander. - Try all means to seek out

Zhang Xian Zong and Yue Qi Luo. Arrest them alive or bring me their bodies.

- Yes! - Hurry!

Step aside!

Search!

Report! Brigade Commander we didn't find anything.

- Keep searching! - Yes!

Hurry up! subtitles ripped by riri13

Taoist Master, how is the charm coming along?

I... I was about to visit you.

I've looked at the prints that you sent me.

But they don't make a complete charm.

It will take me some time to recover the whole charm.

- It will take me at least three months. - Three days.

Wu Xin, you might not understand.

Look at all these books I have. I need to go through them.

- To recover it, I have to... - You only get three days.

You've been alive for centuries. Can't you be more considerate?

Ninth Mistress.

A month and a half.

Ninth Mistress.

Don't bring up Ninth Mistress again! Ninth Mistress and I...

You only get three days.

Ninth Mistress...

- Old immortal... All right. - Ninth Mistress!

It really works.

Taoist Master, where are you going?

I'm going to the toilet.

There's a toilet bowl in your room.

I haven't had a bath for two days. Let me get one!

You're not allowed to bathe until the charm is done.

Anyway, I will have my bath today!

Ninth Mistress!

I won't bathe now.

Taoist...

Taoist Master. Ninth Mistress has caused you so much suffering.

I'll surely get rid of that monster for you.

Go and freshen up.

- Brigade Commander. - How is it? Did you catch them?

No.

That's weird. How have the two of them stayed hidden for so long?

Did they die in the wilderness and get eaten by stray dogs?

That's possible.

Possible my ass!

Why are you here if you didn't catch them?

It's Commander in chief. He sent you a telegram.

Open it up and show it to me.

Commander in chief.

Well done!

- Well done! - Commander in chief!

Gu, you deserve the credit for taking down Wen County!

Commander in chief, this is all due to your wise decision!

You're even being modest?

I came over here today to celebrate your success.

Otherwise, why would I bother coming here?

Yes! Commander in chief, this way, please!

- What is it? Take a look? - Take a look around.

Let's go and take a look around.

Son, we'll take a look around.

- Yes. - Let's go.

I was right about you.

Commander in chief, what do you think about the house?

It's quite classic and traditional.

- This way, please. - Sure!

Lad, as long as you work well for me I can promise you wealth and fortune!

Thank you, Commander in chief!

Listen to the activity outside. It sounds so lively.

How can it not be lively?

Commander Gu has summoned all the soldiers he can get.

When did he ever miss the chance to do his utmost to please the Chief?

Don't you want to take a look?

It isn't as if you've never met Commander in chief.

Why would I go to look at him?

I have such a pretty wife here at home.

Who wants to look at an old man?

Naughty.

Moreover, I need to memorize this charm by heart.

When Yue Qi Luo reappears, I can use it to subdue her.

Sure, get back to your work then.

Fruit! I want to have some fruit.

Fruit?

Let him have some fruit.

Fifth Mistress, don't listen to him.

A man should have meat. Do you know that?

Here.

Chief, let's have a drink.

When did you start having Western liquor?

These are all gifts.

Chief can take them all away with you!

It's a happy occasion, you should have a bit to drink.

- Have a drink. - Here... Good!

Commander in chief, how is this wine?

- Is it good? - Good.

Father, I'm sleepy.

I don't want any more food.

Be good and finish this bowl of soup.

Father, I really am sleepy. I don't want any food.

What is it? Are you really sleepy?

Have a good rest then.

My good son, go on.

Fifth Mistress, take him to bed.

Come here.

No matter how powerful I am, I can't bear to discipline that child.

Commander in chief, I'll go and play you some music.

We'll listen to music as we drink. That sets the ambiance!

That's interesting.

Give me a minute.

Sure. Fourth Mistress, we'll listen to some music.

You're not patching shoe soles today, but you're a story writer?

No.

Here, show it to me.

Hand it over.

When did you learn to write?

You don't necessarily have to write with a brush.

What is this?

It's a steamed bun.

I can't write, so I drew what happened between us.

When you wake up, I'll read our story to you page by page.

Who knows? You might recall our past faster this way.

We'll stretch out the troops and nail them in one go.

Yes, Chief!

We'll take action according to your strategy.

He is insane!

- Young Master! - Fifth Mistress!

- Fifth Mistress! - Young Master!

- What happened? - What's wrong?

- Young Master went crazy! - Speak up!

I just put him on his bed and he bit me!

- He must be possessed! - Who is possessed?

Young Master is possessed!

- Son! - He's coming over!

- Young Master! - Son!

- Don't go over, Chief! - I'm your father!

Drag him away!

Commander in chief!

- Young Master! - Don't hurt him!

Commander in chief!

Young Master... Guards! Quickly!

You mustn't hurt my son!

Young Master!

- Be careful! - Wu Xin...

Son... Son!

Dharma Master!

Dharma Master! Open the door!

- What's wrong? - The Chief's son is possessed again.

He bit the Chief's leg and wouldn't let go. Come with me!

What's the rush?

- Are you worried I can't handle him? - No...

I will have to look after Yue Ya first.

Bai Liu Li, I have to leave for a while, but I'll be back shortly.

You have to keep Yue Ya safe.

Take it.

If anything happens, run. Let him take the back.

Be careful.

All right, stop fussing. Let's go! Hurry up!

Commander in chief!

Chief! Dharma Master is here!

Dharma Master... Dharma Master!

Dharma Master, please save my child.

All right.

My son... What has happened to you?

Please rest assured, Chief.

Young Master is still very young, so he might have run into spirits.

Get a few soldiers to stay by his side tonight.

From tomorrow onward, have him transferred to a room facing the sun.

He should be fine then.

I'll surely keep Dharma Master's great kindness in mind.

Don't mention it.

I won't stand on ceremony.

In the future, I shall reward you greatly.

How dare you challenge me?

Why don't we take a look?

Bai Liu Li?

Bai Liu Li!

Even you fell asleep.

What have I got to be scared of?

I keep frightening myself.

Bai Liu Li...

Bai Liu Li, come and save me!

Don't come over...

- Don't come over... - Save you?

No one will be here to save you today.

Zhang Xian Zong, this is your chance to seek revenge!

Do it!

Don't come over!

Don't come over!

Don't come over!

Don't come over!

What's wrong with Fifth Mistress? Get her out!

Are you sick of living?

What are you waiting for? Shoot!

- Shoot her to death! - Yes!

Yue Qi Luo...

Yue Ya...

Yue Ya!

Yue Ya!

Yue Ya!

Bai Liu Li!

Where is Yue Ya?

Yue Ya...

Wu Xin...

It's fine as long as you're safe.

It was Yue Qi Luo.

She brought Zhang Xian Zong along.

I won't ask you to avenge me.

If you can't defeat them, just run as far away as you can.

My good wife. I understand.

My sister, listen to me.

Stop talking.

I'll get you a doctor.

- I'll get you the best in Wen County! - Commander Gu...

It won't help...

You've always been very kind to both of us.

After I pass away, take good care of him for me.

I promise you. If I have something to drink

he will have something to eat.

Yue Ya...

Why is it so dark in this room?

Wu Xin...

I want to see your face.

I'm right here.

I am here.

It's only almost a year since we got together.

What are you to do from now on that you're alone?

Wu Xin. You and I... We haven't had enough of our lifetime together.

I feel the same way.

When I'm gone... Stay alive and well on your own.

We haven't spent enough time together...

Yue Ya...

Yue Ya...

I haven't spent enough time with you either.

I haven't spent enough time with you either...

Not enough...

Not enough...
