The problem of reflexes that most tell the truth.

God chose me to be king.

But, behold, continuously fragile.

People still do not see you. as you should see, Sire .

Ver o.

What you want from me, Montcourt?

In a downpour, look for shelter under the larger tree.

In the north, there is no one stronger, no one more powerful,

no one else determined than the mighty oak, Cassel.

I am a refugee from this real And I need protection, My Lord.

"I am your servant." - Created ...

Contemplate the divine right of kings and his words.

This is the new law of your king,

which attacks dignity of a true nobleman,

which stains the reputation of a man whose family forms the basis of this country.

Not too long, we knew. in which we found ourselves,

but now we have to give evidence, we have to offer something in return,

now the king says "France is me," but I say we are Franca.

The situation of our dear friend Montcourt is a message.

The king will have your answer.

The king is obsessed with this new recreation in the forest.

S v Versailles. Forgot your password? of who built this country.

If we remove this new distraction, maybe the king will recover,

and Versailles can return The weeds, the king to Paris and us

To our lands and to our lives.

A noble cause, indeed.

Will you persuade the king by force?

He lost his temper. It will not be an appeal to reason.

The future of France is in their noble families.

You want my protection, Montcourt?

I serve your ladyship with my life.

Servis, indeed.

What kind of man You think I am?

- Sire ? Am I merciful?

- If you wish. - Vengeful?

- If the conditions deserve it. - Everything, then, for everyone?

Equally and without conditions.

As king. I ask as a man.

You are both. We can not separate one from the other.

By sending my brother to war, I make him king.

If he dies in her, I will weep as a man.

As a man that I will be well regarded by others.

- As king, no. "You are always well seen by us, Sire."

You think Montcourt Do you feel the same?

A king will be frowned upon both for good and bad deeds.

The coat suits you well, Sire .

Well well! Majesty!

"My dear Rohan, you have returned. - See? Always do what you say.

- I missed you. - Equally.

There are more beautiful women here of what I remember.

Memory fails you, my friend. Aging.

- I can only be as I am. - I already know that.

But I learned the lesson and I come back redeemed, renewed and to your service, Sire .

"I saw the plant of the stubble. - AND?

Or are you falling? in great quantity

or are you building something completely different.

"A palace perhaps?" - A city.

I wish you luck, gentlemen.

France thanks you.

How's my queen?

Much better, thank you.

Change your clothes.

The time of mourning has passed. You will resume your official duties.

- I'll do that. "We'll have a guest at court."

You will receive it personally.

Fill it with attention, with your ...

... usual cordiality and elegance.

Who is this person, to prepare the conversation?

Will you be Spaniard, by any chance?

Prince Aniaba.

I give you my word.

I depend on her.

Sire , if you will,

I believe His Majesty has already found our visitor once.

Yes, in Paris.

So why did you queen?

to a new private meeting with him?

The lands of Africa It's a locked room.

and our Prince Aniaba can have the key.

We have learned from our missionaries on the river Senegal

that there are incommensurable riches in these regions.

Your people and your business will be the basis of our future

and will finance a thousand wars, hundred palaces.

So we have to conquer Africa.

And it remains to know how.

And the queen?

You're helping us.

- How am I doing? - I dressed for you.

How do you feel? What do you think?

By the way, Who puts a year in a drain?

As well?

If the little man was sad, could have done it alone.

Or she will have the queen fed up with it?

Maybe I was trying to fix it. the fountains of the king

and to fall again in good grace and slipped there like a cork,

just to float and scare the young.

You have too much free time.

You should go with me. to the front of battle.

Are you inviting me to a war? How romantic!

- Are you crazy? - It's not any war.

It's my war.

Your brother says one thing and he does another. Do not have great expectations.

But if you do go, I will stay here, of course,

to make sure that your place in court is safe.

Oh yes?

You are very generous. in securing my place!

- You look beautiful. - I already told you.

Did you not say so?

Husband, h news?

Not yet.

Bontemps!

Bontemps!

I have a sword, an armor and a horse.

Why the delay? When will I go to war?

The king has not yet set a date.

What should I do in the meantime?

Maybe he'll send you in his place.

"I'd be happy to serve, of course." "Of course."

Do you think he can not see you? exactly as you are?

He sees me. And she likes it.

This, my dear, what divides us.

At least when your husband I'll know where to find you.

If you come to my quarters, I will not respond.

Naturally. It would not occur to me to seek you,

just as the king would not seek in the queen's quarters.

I know how much you like to swim.

I could find you in the pool house, for example.

I heard that it's very popular among the young lovers ... of nature.

You are warned, sir.

Constantly, my face.

Nice house.

Guest of honor of the king:

- Aniaba, Prince of Assinie. - Son of the king of Eguafo,

heir to the Ivory Coast and Teeth,

Lord of the C u.

My brother, Kobina.

Prince Aniaba, accompany me, please ... alone.

Your brother will accompany Monsieur Marchal.

What about my friends?

Will delight with the king's hospitality.

- It's cute. - Thanks!

Such beautiful!

How beautiful can it be is black

How can it not be?

You are so strange!

I have heard that in their lands rivers of gold flow.

How far are we from the trees?

Your Majesty, Your request has been fulfilled.

Prince Aniaba is conveniently unwillingly.

Great! Make him wait.

I was told that my good friends, the Parthenay,

left their property to the south and head for Versailles.

"Is little Fran oise coming?" "With her husband and her family."

How time flies!

The Parthenay are well considered in the south.

Show me your credentials. as an example for the rest.

We will make sure that "La Gazette" will tell you what happened.

And how about minting a medal, Colbert?

Political arithmetic augur great feats to come.

"The great nobles of the South the credentials of the king. "

"The king receives the credentials of the nobles "Sounds better, do not you think?

That sucks!

But just the best, of the king's horses in the Louvre.

I...

Speak. What do you have to say?

coming to c , through the forest,

I found an old man to cook a rat by a stream.

Initially, I thought. that he was a tramp, but ...

But did you recognize him?

From the court of your father.

She fought him.

During the revolt?

Because, if they had been successful ...

You will be dead.

One day I would love to hear more about my father.

Good morning, Prince Aniaba.

Good Morning,

Highness.

It's a pleasure to see you again.

What do you have?

Tremeis.

For many reasons:

you, he, the Chevalier.

Does Chevalier make you tremble?

It scares me. The way you look at me,

The way you talk about yourself and my husband.

Do you remember when you were 16?

You stepped on a rose.

Your p was bleeding.

You kissed my toes.

Have I given up the pain?

In an instant.

Nothing changed.

And I will make it always so.

Your arms now protect me, but when I'm alone with him ...

You do not have to worry ...

... as for Chevalier concerns or your husband.

I am your safe harbor.

Will you protect me from the waves?

Even when they hit us.

Even when the sea takes me.

He's ready for you.

Will you come with me, please?

Prince Aniaba of Assinie, You're welcome to my court.

Versailles most beautiful than I could imagine.

Let me present my brother to you, Philip, Duke of Orleans,

your wife, Henrietta of England,

Colbert, my Minister of State,

Mademoiselle of the Valli re.

You know my wife.

When I had a party here A few years ago,

we did not have space to accommodate my friends.

Most had to settle in the city,

so I'm building accommodations:

400 apartments in total.

Where are the workers?

They are, for the moment, busy with the planning stages

of one part in particular construction.

We can go back tomorrow. to see them busy at work.

It would please me greatly.

- Tell me about the countries of Africa. - When do we bargain?

Prince Aniaba, in France we do things differently.

Maybe I made a mistake.

Maybe you should talk to the Dutch, the Spaniards, the English.

Everyone wants to talk about the future.

Our Hospitality do not you like

There is plenty of it.

And even more, as you will see tonight.

What will happen then?

Then I will sit down with you.

I have no explanation.

I deeply regret, Monsieur Marchal.

Half of the lost shipment and four dead men.

The king lost gold, marble, stone and wine.

It is becoming habitual.

Appearance is everything.

All!

Do not you understand? Someone has loaned heed what I say?

He's my guest.

and your clothes are more splendorous than my palace.

A shipment of marble and stone disappeared on the way, Sire ,

and, of course, men can not work without material.

Disappeared? The morden alone by the forest inside?

There are thieves on the road, Sire . There always was.

You think it was a common thief? This was arranged! sabotage!

The more we build, the more we need.

The more we need, the greater number of goods transported to Versailles

and more normal will become these moments.

And these moments generate movements,

which will not take long to set us on fire.

We can not build without foundation.

- Sire ... - The road of the king is sacrosanct!

Sacred ground! Protected and safe!

And if it is not, then the cloth of the country is torn,

and no one will know where he is.

Whoever did this declared war on us.

I will take my men and put patrols on the road.

- Immediately. - Yes, Sire.

Hold on!

Countermandais His Majesty?

With the war at the door, we do not have enough men.

Protect the king is our priority.

I'll deal with the roads.

Make sure that your men they are of quality.

It will be my eyes and my ears.

My name Madame Beauvais.

I was sent by your mother.

I am your new teacher.

What will you teach me, Madame Beauvais?

Treat me for Catherine.

You want me to send the workers back to scaffolding, Sire ?

Yes.

Yes of course.

- Even if they pretend to work. - Sire ?

Where is my brother?

Our visitor inspired me.

I think I need more color.

How do we dress for war?

The purple ...

- ... or the red? - Red, of course.

- I like the purple. - Me too.

That's why I said the red.

Philip, when you depart,

please certify yourself What are you coming back from?

- I can not promise you that. - Say the words.

If I died your life It would be simple, would not it?

My problems it will never be solved. Know it.

And, in any case, I'd rather you did not die.

You say the sweetest things, doll.

And seriously.

Since our childhood,

My dream has been the war.

Yours has been my brother.

See how lucky we are.

Maybe someday we'll both live our dreams.

We can have war or we can have splendor,

But I do not believe that we can have both.

So it must be war.

All those around you smile and bargain,

but everyone wants your destruction, Sire .

You are the king of our future.

The only question : what kind will it be?

You dream of paradise,

but you must be building it.

They dressed me like this since the age of three months,

not to overshadow the sun.

Am.

I thought that if you started In my departure, approve.

I think you have already blessed me enough. Thank you.

I do not understand.

I wait for your word, brother.

And when I can not wait, I help my God.

Which one are you?

I can be a horse.

At least that's what I was told.

Brother ...

You want me to talk to her.

Always stay close of your guard.

Partis today.

I will bring you glory.

I swear to you.

May God look after you and bring you safely home.

Go, then.

Run to her.

You have my baby.

God knows you do not need of a priest for this.

"Sophie, my face ..." - Yes?

Your help, please. A moral dilemma.

I'll do my best.

If someone I love fucking another person without my consent,

it will not be right and fair, for the parity to be restored,

That I fuck somebody. of my choice?

I tried to speak with Bishop Bossuet, but he was very reserved.

- I... - Sophie, do not answer.

But she has the answer. Look! It's stamped on his face.

No more provocations!

We should thank the cusus. Son so many families expelled from the court.

None had the necessary documents.

Even so, I suppose they had no who answered for them.

Those are the laws to which now we must obey.

Well, at least, we have our Chevalier .

And why are you being Are you nice with me?

My madness! In the end, I know that we you will use and blast as others.

Naturally!

But I will look for you in the middle of all this madness. Do not be afraid.

Especially you, my beautiful.

Sophie!

Come right away!

Give me that spitula!

The mixture is very thick. Add water.

Sophie.

Her name is Sophie.

There is a death wish.

It's better to die for something. in which one believes, right?

How did you say what are you called?

Beno t, sir.

Jacques.

What does a gardener do? up here?

The sight helps me to measure the garden lines.

And the girls who walk in it.

Be careful with that.

Think of your future.

What I do.

If your friends, the Parthenay, are as relevant as I believe,

when they have visited and shown your loyalty,

we can persuade much of the south to follow orders.

Who will remain?

The north and the east.

Who defies me l ?

The Duke of Cassel, Sire , if I remember correctly.

He is very influential in the north and east.

Half of the nobility owes him much.

Your family occupies those lands. since there is memory.

So, it's our cornerstone.

If we remove it from the wall, the whole structure collapses. "

If we do not, the collapse will be ours.

He does not consider our letters, Sire . We did not get an answer.

Send him a gift. My portrait,

with a messenger together with the order to obey our laws.

You must provide your proof of nobility or suffer the consequences,

These consequences will be witnessed throughout France.

A messenger from the king.

Bringing gifts.

How amiable.

Do you want champagne?

Lu s, the Great, orders your presence at court.

You are obliged, at your request, to present proof of your nobility.

Really?

I should warn you, Kobina.

The king set up an entertainment in our honor,

but we are not here to have fun

Since we leave with life, both makes me.

The Chevalier , undoubtedly, much more influential than I thought.

But these rooms are much more smaller than the previous ones.

"Do you know what I like best here?" - No. What ?

The noise. All the shaking of the court.

How am I doing?

You do not want to leave like this, my girl!

- M e, please do not exaggerate. - Exaggerate?

This is not a game.

my task, make sure that you will be to capture the King's attention.

Now look in the mirror.

What do you see?

I see myself.

This is not the time for women. of men.

But even the wisest king can become a fool for something so beautiful.

You may never be a queen, but with this ...

... you can live as one.

I really believe

that you are the most beautiful of all.

Good luck to everyone.

I love your perfume.

I'm not wearing perfume.

It must be difficult to be alone.

I'll do what I can.

It must be hard to be so far away. of your husband and of your children.

The absence is painful if they refer to it.

This dress is very handsome. and involves a very beautiful creature.

Thank you!

The king wishes to sit with me. to negotiate.

"And you will sit down." - Do we trade in public?

Will you send everyone to bed?

If necessary.

Do you have a wife?

- My wife lives in Paris. - With you?

I live with the king.

"Now I'm confused. I sleep where the king sleeps.

I will not go away from here.

Your bed should be very crowded.

Brother, we're not welcome here. We'd better leave.

Brother, the negotiations They are starting.

Please, husband, do not play with it this way.

It seems to me that I can play this game.

Apparently, yes!

Unfortunately, luck today do not baffle us at this table.

Come on, let's play!

What are you doing?

To win.

You look enthusiastic.

And a group of worried faces from the front.

Your Majesty, urgent business require your immediate attention.

I hope your newly discovered Success take you to our bed quickly.

Cassel answered your message, Sire .

"Here is your proof: a contribution for your noble project. "

I can answer you personally, Sire ?

- I advise containment. - In the face of insolence?

If you will allow me, Sire . Send troops and to arrest him would put an end to your plan.

If you put Cassel in prison, it is better for you to have all the nobles,

because that would be the end result.

At least let me hurt your face. for this insult that brought you back.

If you cut a head, another will take its place.

Abat it will be request a civil war,

and we saw how it went well for the English.

Husband, I'm not ready yet.

I'm not here for duty, but by grace,

for keeping your word

and for showing such hospitality to our guest.

You were very useful. and therefore I am grateful to you.

I want to give you a gift.

I accept.

The present is a secret.

Even better.

- Your daughter is alive. - My God!

Brother!

Brother, wake up! The king wants to see you.

Tell him to wait.

Tell him yourself.

Please dress. We do not have much time.

- Where will we go? - You will see.

Sire , we learned that the Parthenay family will arrive this morning.

And my goddaughter Charlotte will you come with them?

Yes, Sire .

A little ray of sunshine.

Are we almost there, Mam?

Stay here.

What did you think of my wine?

What will you offer me?

The Dutch have no your hospitality, of course,

but they have money.

Where are we?

A brief stop.

My gardener found this man by chance.

He was a nobleman who fought against my family during the revolt.

He thought he was safe.

here in the forest.

My God!

Your values, if you do not mind.

I know that voice! Montcourt!

No!

Please, no!

Kill her.

I will.

We must go!

Montcourt, come on!

- It will not be dark soon! - She disappeared!

She will die! Let's go!

Why are we here?

The Dutch have money, but they have no power.

We have both.

- Why did you bring me here? - To finish negotiating.

- We have not even started yet. - Aniaba, we've been negotiating

from the moment you descended of the carriage.

"You leave me little choice. - I'll give you security.

and a fair income.

I also offer you a gunboat to protect your port.

You are a long way from home and the your enemies advance to the capital.

My father will deal with them.

You see this little noisy life before you

A close friend told me that the God brought it for a reason.

I just understood now.

Its very existence question, because in any other country,

in England, Spain, in the Dutch republics,

long would be dead, as well as your mother.

But here she is. and here you are.

One thing you can be sure of.

You can reach agreement with the Dutch, English, Spanish.

Smile and agree,

then he will take his armies, they will burn your lands,

will kill your families and take all that you think.

"You can be sure of that." - You'll do the same.

I do not. And I suggest you decide quickly.

A country without a king he will devour himself in war.

King?

We were informed of which your father died.

Now you are king.

My condolences, Your Majesty.

Majesty...

Bless me, Father, because I have sinned.

Let's go.

The Venetians have worked hard in a new mirror, Sire .

They expect it to be more to your liking.

It's better.

Burn it.
