[Tiger and Crane]

[Episode 17 Charging into Yanluo Hall]

Why isn't Qi Zilu back yet?

I've been waiting for him

for an hour.

Eunuch Liu.

Chief Commander went to the prison to investigate.

He's on his way back.

He should be here soon.

Yes.

Eunuch Liu, sorry to keep you waiting.

Qi Zilu, the Chief Commander of Tiangang Hall,

receive the decree.

The edit says

demons have escaped in the capital,

and sorcerers going crazy and killing people,

was a dereliction of duty of Tiangang Hall.

I hereby order Qi Zilu

to lead the two camps Tiangang Hall sorcerers

to Di City to protect His Majesty,

leaving two camps of sorcerers to protect the capital.

The investigation of the demons

will be taken over by Disha Hall.

You are to set off immediately.

No mistake is allowed.

Eunuch Liu.

Di City has the most elite

sorcerer army and troops of Fulong State

to protect His Majesty.

His Majesty is safe.

The capital is in need of manpower.

If we dispatch all the elites,

If something happens in the capital,

I'm afraid the situation would get worse,

and it will be difficult to fight against the demons.

Qi Zilu,

are you disobeying the imperial edict?

I dare not.

His Majesty's safety

is no child's play.

As to who is giving the status that

Three Main Halls have now

in Fulong State,

you should know that very well.

Besides,

given the case of sorcerers from the army

going crazy and killing people,

transferring them out of capital

is also giving the people an explanation.

Eunuch Liu,

Di City

is far away from the capital.

If something happens in the capital,

and we can't give them support,

I'm afraid there will be a disaster.

Be it Di City or the capital,

they are both His Majesty's world.

If you can't fulfil your responsibility

of protecting His Majesty,

then His Majesty can very well choose

other troops.

You don't want Tiangang Hall

to be destroyed within your hands, do you?

I will obey His Majesty's order.

I keep feeling that

a massive thunderstorm is brewing

in Fulong State.

I just don't know

why.

Grandma,

is there any progress with Zhi Xie?

Without straightforward evidence,

it's difficult to touch Zhi Xie.

Since the clues for Zhi Xie

have come to a dead end,

let's start from Yi Mei.

What's wrong?

There's something

I feel uneasy about.

What is it?

In the Collection of Demons across Ten Thousand Years

I saw in the Collection Pavillion,

there was an entry

about the Nine-tailed Tiger Demon.

It says

Nine-tailed Tiger Demons are bloodthirsty

and cruel.

Every time it appears,

it will bring endless disasters

to the world.

So?

The demons of the Demon Burning Pagoda have escaped.

I don't know

if Mother is among them.

I'm even more unsure as to

whether the anomalies in the capital

have something to do with her.

In your memory,

what kind of person is your mother?

My mother is gentle and kind.

She won't hurt anyone.

She won't kill

even a single ant.

It's completely different from

what was recorded in the book.

That's it then.

You have to follow your heart.

You can't let what others say

affect you.

All right.

Go get the ingredients.

Time to cook.

Roger.

It's... put so high.

This Brick...

It's fine.

What are you doing?

All the sorcerers in Disha Hall, listen to my order.

Search with all your might for Yi Mei.

Yes!

Second Master,

try to get in touch

with civilian sorcerers in various places

and tell them to keep an eye across the entire Fulong State

to look for Yi Mei.

Once there is any small clue,

report immediately.

Yes.

Xiaoxuan.

Two camps of Royal Sorcerers

have been transferred away.

If something happens in the capital,

we won't be able to fight back.

Gather the all the

sorcerer armies in the capital

and tell them to patrol day and night.

Have them report immediately if there is anything suspicious.

We must ensure the safety of the people.

Don't worry, Grandma.

I will do my best.

You haven't changed your habit

of nepotism for so many years.

Today, in the hall,

you ignored the presence of me, the Commander-in-Chief

and entrusted the responsibility

of protecting the capital

to your baby grandson.

Aren't you afraid of gossip?

Who are you to say that?

Think about it.

What despicable means did you use

to get the position

of this commander-in-chief?

I will never trust

someone who is as immoral as you are.

So what?

Things won't go as you wish.

Just like how you wanted Xiaoxuan

to become the Commander-in-Chief,

but in the end,

it was me.

To put it bluntly,

your oppression of me

will only make me stronger.

No matter how strong one's magic is,

without compassion and benevolence,

you can never become someone who is truly strong.

With your evil personality,

how can you take up the responsibility

of seeing the people as important

as you are?

What a grand speech.

I almost believed it.

You really know how to look for an excuse

for your bias.

Since you know my personality,

don't test my limit

over and over again.

If you push me too hard,

if something happens,

don't regret it.

What are you up to this time?

It'd depend on

your attitude.

Yanran.

Listen.

As long as I am

still alive,

I won't let you

hurt Xiaoxuan.

Grandma, don't forget.

I'm your granddaughter too.

Let's go.

[Wanted]

[Wanted]

Let's have a look what's new.

This is...

Royal Sorcerer.

A royal sorcerer?

Yes.

What happened again?

Royal sorcerers did things again?

[Wanted]

She's a little girl.

Why is it a little girl?

Don't underestimate her.

She's a Phantom Weapon Sorcerer.

These people are not simple.

She was a magic weapon of one of the ancestors

that participated in the Dianfeng Valley battle.

Isn't that the Yi Mei Fairy?

They're going to capture them?

They're out to patrol

and refused to take me along,

yet made me stay here alone

to find clues about Yi Mei.

Where can I find clues?

Yi Mei, Yi Mei,

what are you up to?

Why can't I... figure it out?

When you board the boat tomorrow,

the situation will be very chaotic.

Later,

I'll inject my spirit essences' chi

into your body.

If we really get separated,

you just need to calm down

and activate this power,

and we'll know

each other's location.

For the past 500 years,

I've never really used this spirit essences' power.

So I could only internalize this power.

I wonder

if it still works.

As expected, it doesn't work.

Fairy.

You're now wanted

in Fulong Capital.

Disha Hall

is looking for you all over too.

I'm afraid you can't stay here for long.

We have to leave eventually.

It's just a pity we have to leave these flowers.

Fairy.

Hu Zi has successfully broken through

the second stage of Phurba.

Can you tell me

what you were hiding previously?

The last stage of Phurba

is called Completion Level.

This is the most difficult stage

to break through.

This is no longer a battle of strength,

but to get rid of the physical limitations

and achieve the mental awakening state

for the body to be fused into one with heaven

can it be fully activated.

But in this situation,

how are you going to make Hu Zi

to activate this last stage?

Don’t worry.

I have my own way.

A friend is here to visit me.

You may leave.

Yes.

Yi Mei! Why?

Long time no see.

Old man,

why did you set this up?

Where have the demons from the Demon Burning Pagoda

gone?

Why did you make those sorcerers go crazy

and kill innocent people?

Eldest Master,

you have a lot of questions.

Yi Mei Fairy,

it's because we are friends

that I came here to persuade you alone.

I hope you can stop

and stop making mistakes.

If you're here

to have tea and catch up with me,

I welcome you.

But if you're here to question me,

I'm sorry.

Please excuse me.

[Xizhao Pavilion]

Yi Mei.

Yi Mei!

Yi Mei Fairy.

You and I are friends

who have known each other for 500 years.

What secret is it

that you can't tell me?

Even if you have difficulties,

I can share your burden too.

Why are you entangled

with those demons,

harming the people?

Why are you against the

Three Main Halls and the

whole Fulong State?

It's been 500 years.

Things have changed.

But there are

things that have never changed.

I have my difficulties.

Stop asking.

If you treat me as a friend,

you can tell me

these difficulties.

Now,

Jiang Xici has ordered to arrest you.

All Royal Sorcerers and Civilian Sorcerers

of Fulong State

have been dispatched.

You no longer have a place to stay

in Fulong State anymore.

It's still not too late to return.

What a sight Jiang Xici has put up.

Too bad I can't go back.

If you want to kill me,

let's fight it out here.

You know

I don't want to take this step.

Then leave.

Just forget you had a friend like me.

Tell me.

Is your plan

related to Phurba?

Is it related to Hu Zi?

I have suspected for a while now.

You gave

such an important artifact

to a mountain boy

that came from nowhere.

What is the relationship

between them?

Yi Mei!

You've asked too much.

These spirit essences

belong to your master.

I will now return it to you,

and I will consider that as I've returned it to its owner.

The next time we see will be the day we battle to our death.

I hope that day won't come.

Yi Mei!

Leave.

Yi Mei! Yi Mei!

Liar!

Liar!

Liar!

Yan, I really want to help you.

It's you.

Don't you know the entire capital

is searching for you?

I didn't expect

you would come to me on your own accord.

Don't waste your effort.

I came to you

to make a deal with you.

Why don't you listen first?

If you don't want to,

it's not too late to seek your death then either.

Dream on.

You colluded with the demons.

As the commander-in-chief of the Royal Sorcerers,

how can I join you in the evil deeds?

How did you get

your position?

Why did Qi Xiaoxuan

turn against others during the final exam?

I know it better than anyone.

Because the Spirit Locking Ritual of Qi family

was created by me.

I can save him

and make him the real Qi Xiaoxuan.

Only in this way

can you really get hurt

the person you hate.

That is your grandmother.

How can you prove that you can do that?

I'm the only person

in Fulong State

that can switch spirits

between bodies.

Once the switch succeeds,

there will be no way to turn back.

All these years,

it mustn't have felt good to be

looked down upon by your grandmother, right?

Without her standing in your way,

you would have achieved way more

achievements and a higher status.

Qi Yanran,

you could've made everyone

submit to you.

What do you want?

Your grandma,

Jiang Xici, is searching for me everywhere.

I want you to report to me

her plans and movements.

And I, can help you clear

the biggest obstacle on your path to being the Commander-in-chief's...

And kill her.

What did you set up

such a huge plan for?

You just need to tell me

whether you're going to do it or not.

Commander-in-Chief,

what is it that you can't say directly

and have to be so mysterious about?

I just saw Yi Mei.

Where is she?

You're not hurt a single bit.

Didn't you fight?

I made a deal with her.

A deal?

I want you to join me.

I, Wu Lidan,

am not a gentleman.

But I still have a baseline

to my morals.

If you want to do

something against the the objectives of a Royal Sorcerer,

then I will not join you in it.

Don’t talk too early.

Although you've become a commander,

I'm afraid the fact that you

were beaten up to the ground

by that lass from Zhao family

is still a laughing stock to the people.

Now, your position as the commander

is not going so smoothly either.

At this rate,

when will you be able

to revive your Wu family?

But if you help me this time,

I can guarantee

you'll be able to establish prestige among the Royal Sorcerers.

What does the deal you mentioned

comprise of exactly?

I will provide her with information

and she will help me kill off First Master.

You're not helping me

but harming me.

If I really get involved,

I would become a thousand-year sinner

of the Three Main Halls.

Moreover, she is your grandma.

How could you do something like this

that goes against Heaven’s will?

Commander-in-chieve,

Looks like

I underestimated you.

I couldn't get it.

Over there.

What are you looking at?

Xintong.

You're good at killing demons with your spear,

but your fishing skills with it is really...

Don't just talk nonsense.

Come and do it if you dare.

Let me show you

the power of the Fishing King of Ruyun Village.

Come on.

Fish–

For fishing,

the most important thing

is that your eyes are like winds,

and your hands are like lightning.

Like you...

You shouldn't hesitate–

You can really do it!

I'm Fishing King for a–

Hold it properly.

-Okay. -Let’s go.

Then we…

What's that smell on you?

It doesn't smell of anything though?

How many days have you not taken a shower?

I just took one a few days ago.

A few days ago?

You're so dirty.

Don't come near me again.

Is there a problem with that?

I don't smell.

Will it work?

Of course.

I used to use it like this at home.

Otherwise, how can my skin

be so radiant

and delicate?

Look.

You're good at this.

Put it all in.

Put it all in.

Hu Zi.

Why do you care about this

all of a sudden?

I just...

It's none of your business.

Get out.

I'm going to take a shower.

Are you going to help me shower?

Go!

I won’t stink anymore now.

Xintong won’t dislike me anymore, right?

Ever since Tiangang Hall's Royal Sorcerer army

was transferred,

there are fewer and fewer cases

of people in the capital getting hurt.

However,

the reputation of the Royal Sorcerers

has been ruined.

When people see sorcerers nowadays,

it's as if they saw a demon.

They dare not go out.

The people want food

and peace.

It's the recent turmoil in Fulong Capital

that made them feel scared.

Pass my order.

Tell the Royal Sorcerers to go out in plain clothes.

Don't bring distress to the people.

Yes.

[Siyin Lineage]

First Master.

These days,

I've checked

the bodies closely.

I've confirmed that when they committed the murder,

their primordial spirits were have already dispersed.

At that time,

they were just a bunch of

walking corpses that were possessed.

As expected,

it's the forbidden skill of controlling the wicked spirits.

But

this forbidden skill has been sealed off

in Fulong State.

How can they be used?

Manzhu Shahua.

Do you remember

if there has been anyone who came

this secret room of the Collection Pavillion?

First Master.

Never.

The mechanism in the secret room

can only be opened by the Chiefs

of the Three Main Halls.

Every forbidden skill

has been sealed off by a charm.

If someone really came,

I wouldn't have not known.

You just said

the Chiefs of the Three Main Halls

has this authority.

In other words,

it's not impossible

if someone wants these forbidden skills.

First Master,

are you suspecting Chief Zhi Xie?

I can guarantee that

he has never entered the secret room.

Before we have investigated everything,

I won't jump to the conclusion.

To be safe,

we'd better go in

to confirm.

Please come with me.

First Master, I have no authority.

I'd have to ask you to activate the mechanism.

The seal is complete.

There is no problem.

Thank you

Take care, First Master.

Someone touched that forbidden book.

Today is the final round of the sorcerer exam.

Let's go check it out after we're done.

Sure.

The battle between the black and white camps

must be exciting.

I also want to find out

who will take the position of the commander-in-chief.

I guess

it must be Black Camp.

Not necessarily.

Why did it seem like it was Chief Zhi Xie?

Greetings, Chief.

What's the matter?

Today, First Master Qi and Qi Xiaoxuan

came to the secret room of the Collection Pavilion

to check the forbidden book.

However,

they didn't find anything.

But I think

there's a forbidden book

that seemed to have been touched by someone.

So,

I want to verify something with you.

Go ahead.

On the day of the Royal Sorcerer Exam's final round,

have you been to Collection Pavillion?

I was already in prison that day.

How could I have gone to the Collection Pavilion?

I apologize for being rude.

The disappearance of sorcerers

has already made many people panic.

Now that the chief commander

has been transferred away from the capital,

at this critical moment,

you must guard the Collection Pavilion well.

There are many forbidden skills

that can't be leaked to the public.

I understand.

I shall take my leave.

Hu Zi,

why is the street so quiet?

Not a single soul is out here.

The people are afraid of the Royal Sorcerers.

They are all hiding.

Not necessarily.

They have to come out anyway.

Where did these Royal Sorcerers come from?

Even if you changed your clothes,

I can still recognize you.

Scram!

Don't stay here.

How upsetting.

The street is so clean.

There is not a single clue.

Why don't we go back?

There's a place where there will definitely be clues at.

You mean Ghost Market?

The ghost market

seems normal.

It seems...

We're just walking around.

Right?

As usual,

the Red Pearl powder is placed at the bottom of the box.

Give me a better price next time.

That's impossible.

We are risking our lives

to do this business.

Hand over your money.

Please spare my life!

Hurry! Money!

Let go of me!

These are all yours.

I'm happy today.

I'll spare your life.

Get lost!

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

He took my money and ran away.

He didn't kill you?

Kill me?

If he killed me

I wouldn't still be here.

My money...

Go after him!

This is killing me.

Run! Run!

What's wrong?

No, I have a stomachache.

At such a critical moment?

I can't hold it in anymore, Xintong.

Use your Pear Blossom Spear

to dig a hole in this grass

so I can...

Here?

You know how powerful

my Pear Blossom Spear is.

If I stab it in,

this entire house will collapse.

And you will definitely die.

You're right.

I can't hold it in anymore.

Hurry up!

Please spare my life.

I won't do it again.

Keep acting.

He was acting?

I...

How can a sorcerer that has gone crazy

only want money but not kill?

How dare you wear

the clothes of a Royal Sorcerer.

Don't you know

they only dare to go out in plain clothes nowadays?

That leaves me with no choice. Xintong.

Lend me your spear.

Here.

I won't do it again.

I won't do it again.

I won’t do it again.

Please spare my life.

Take off your clothes.

How dare someone like you ruin

the reputation of Royal Sorcerers!

Yes, yes.

Hu Zi.

What do we do with this money?

Should we give it back?

Of course not.

Didn't you see the man who was robbed?

Under the bracelet he sold

were all Red Pearl powder.

Why would we give this back

to someone who does such business.

This money

is enough for the people living in slums

to eat for a year.

Distribute it among them.

Here.

It's so heavy.

Let's go.

Why, over the past few decades,

the number of demons Yanluo Hall has captured

is higher than on the books?

The sorcerers who had their spirit essences sucked by demons

are several times more than on the records too.

Where did all these demons go?

What's the use of the sorcerer's spirit essences?

What secret is Yanluo Hall

still hiding?

First Master.

We've done good deeds all day.

Yes.

-Are you a tired? -Yes.

But we were so heroic

just now.

Give me some.

There's none left.

Go cook something.

Do it yourself.

I'm always the one cooking.

I'm a playboy yet

here I've become a nanny.

Xintong.

Is there still roast chicken left?

Yes.

And two buns.

You guys eat.

Xintong, you eat.

You eat.

I'll go out and find

if there's anything to eat.

That's too tiring.

Can you try catching a chicken?

I'm going to go sleep for a while.

Who are you?

Who are you?

Brick! Bruck!

Are you okay, Hu Zi?

What's wrong?

Are you okay?

He...

Why did he suddenly quiet down?

Follow him.

Yanluo Hall?

I’ve seen this sorcerer

in Disha Hall.

Why is he going to Yanluo Hall?

Let's go take a look.

What?

How did he disappear?

There must be a mechanism on it.

Look.

There must be something wrong.

Let's see how to open it.

This should go directly

to the bottom of Yanluo Hall.

What?

I'm making a mark.

If anything happens to us,

someone will find us.

Let's go.

Let's go.

Sacrificing souls, it will never end.

Sacrificing souls, it will never end.

Sacrificing souls, it will never end.

Sacrificing souls, it will never end.

Sacrificing souls...

What are they doing?

Let's not go over there first.

Sacrificing souls, it will never end.

Sacrificing souls, it will never end.

Sacrificing souls, it will never end.

Zhi Xie?

Sacrificing souls, it will never end.

What is he doing to them?

They seem very happy.

It was him all along.

He was the one who took my mother away.

No.

We have to go back first

and inform the others.

Hu Zi.

Since you're here,

then don’t leave.

Commander.

What's wrong?

The people guarding at Yanluo Hall

just reported that

someone sneaked into the Yanluo Hall.

Did you find out their identity?

They are your three friends.

Hu Zi, Zhao Xintong and Wang Yuqian.

How did it go?

Commander.

We've searched the entire hall inside and outside

but we didn't see them.

Keep looking.

Yes.

Commander.

We found a mechanism

near the corridor with a marking.

Take me there.

Yes.

It's really you.

It's too late.

Qi Xiaoxuan.

You suspected me from the beginning.

You're the person with the clearest mind

in the Three Main Halls.

But even so,

the situation has come to this.

Do you know why?

The Three Main Halls have changed.

Those elders at the Council of Elders

are no longer the young heroes

who slaughtered demons

but a group of officials

who are obsessed with power and status.

This is humanity.

It can't be changed.

60 years ago, it was like this.

After 60 years, it's still the same.

I witnessed the Three Main Halls

walk towards glory

and the Royal Sorcerer team

gradually grow,

but I also witnessed the people fall from grace

and their desires expand.

The so-called prestige

are just

empty bubbles.

Why did you do this?

Why?

For hundreds of years,

the Royal Sorcerers' killing of the demons

have been respected by the people.

Tell me,

why do the demons

have to suffer this calamity

and be killed?

In your eyes, they are demons

and beasts.

They don't have thoughts and dignity.

You all talk about you achievements

based on the number of demons killed.

You step over their corpse

to get to a higher level.

But did anyone

question it?

Why?

There are good and bad humans.

There are also good and bad demons.

But this is not a reason for you to kill the people

and kill the sorcerers.
