And while Eliot Ness
worked in Chicago,

Lieutenant Agatha Stewart went
to work in Evanston, Illinois.

The search for
Margaret Radick had begun.

Lieutenant Stewart's only clue
was a postcard

mailed from this town
three years before.

Lieutenant Stewart and
the officers of Missing Persons

threw a fine-mesh net
over the city of Evanston.

But when they reeled in,
the net came up empty.

I'm sorry.

Our files go back
for five years,

but we have no record
of a Margaret Radick

making application for a job
in this office.

to the usual meeting place,

his own pier on the lakefront.

Vadney ain't got the nerve.
He never did!

That's why he's nothing!

(scoffs)
