All language subtitles for 73 - Compare View

The develop module in Lightroom
has a unique feature that is not available

in the library module or loop view.

Here we can do a side by side

comparison of our before
and after image when we apply adjustments

to switch to before and after mode.

Click on this arrow here
and select the type of comparison

you'd like to perform

by selecting the first option.

This screen splits into two sections
and we get a side by side comparison.

Keep in mind that there is a margin
between both of these images.

The second option
removes that margin and the before

and after images are directly beside
one another.

Watch
what happens when I apply an adjustment.

You can very clearly

see the difference
between the after in the before.

Once the adjustment is applied, the next
two options here, they do the same thing.

But instead of a left
and right split, we get a top and bottom.

So the first

option, there's a margin
between the two images.

And with the second option, no margin.

I'll go back to the left and right split.

There's three important buttons down here.

The first allows you to copy

the before settings to the after image.

So, for example,
if I wanted the after image to look like

what it did before,
I can click this button.

I'll undo that if I want it to apply

the adjustments
we've made to the before image.

I could click this button here.

I'll undo that again.

Now, if we want to swap the before
and after

settings, we can click this button here.

So once you're satisfied with the changes,
just go back to Loupe View

and now you're back to a full preview of
your image with the adjustments applied.
