YOSHITSUNE'S JOURNEY
Suzu City Ishikawa Prefecture.

Legend has it that Yoshitsune and his men
stopped at this city in Ishikawa.

It was here that
Yoshitsune's group

stayed near Mitsukejima
also known as Gunkanjima.

("Battleship Island")
due to it's shape.

Located in the Misaki-machi
District of Suzu City

is a Shrine that's also
related to Yoshitsune.

Here legend has it that

at the Suzu-jinja Shrine

a Katana (Sword) blade and a
"Semiore-no-fue”(type of whistle)"

were enshrined that
belonged to Yoshitsune.

In the Noto area legend has it that
after the battle of Dan-no-ura,

a Taira general named Tokitada
who fought Yoshitsune

drifted away to find himself in Noto.

Taira Tokitada is said to be founder
of the prosperous Tokikuni Family,

It's believed that Tokitada
family members are buried here.

In the Shika-machi district
on the Noto Peninsula,

"is the Yoshitsune no
Funekakushi" Cliffs.

Here legend has it is the place
where Yoshitsune hid his ship in

a cove to escape 4 dozen boats
sent by Yoritomo to capture him.
