that you were trying to protect Haley from Seth Burns,

but this is something that I really should have been

It's-- She--she wasn't in

a good place when I found her, and--and I-I didn't want

to make things worse. So what--what are you going

to do? >> Kayla: Well, this isn't

something that I can ignore. I mean, I have guidelines

I need to follow when one of my nurses tries to take

You were--you were a huge part of the truth coming out, Julie.

and Abigail to be together again to raise your children.

especially now, now that her father's back.

I mean, it's wonderful in its way that he's here,

but he doesn't remember her or any of the family

It's really rough right now. But unfortunately she--

I wish there was something I could do to help,

but she--she won't let me right now.

>> Abigail: You know, I keep asking myself how I didn't see

it, and what I come up with is that I was just so grateful.

I was so grateful to be consoled by one of my closest friends

at a time when I was so vulnerable.

And now, of course, I realize that that wasn't a moment

of real friendship. That was just you scheming

together this master plan you had, right?

Hmm? >> Gabi: Well, I mean, I

resented you, Abigail. I hated you

and your alters for what you did to me.

I mean, I was trying to be the bigger person.

I was trying to stuff those feelings down.

>> Abigail: Okay, and what changed?

>> Gabi: What changed was a visit that I had with Kayla

where she told me that I would never be able to carry

another child to term. She stepped outside

to take an emergency call and left me there in shock

with the news that I would never be able to give Arianna

a brother or a sister. That's when a lab technician

came in and dropped an envelope for Kayla

with your name on it that it was Chad, not Stefan,

that was Charlotte's biological father.

Now, you can understand how that would hit me,

how it would seem unfair that during this time where my

entire life was crashing down around me,

you were getting everything you wanted--again.

Miss Happily Ever After. And before I even realized

what I was doing... I changed the results.

The only thing that was running through my mind was that

you needed to suffer the same way that I was suffering,

no matter the cost.

Blabbing to my boss about the worst night of my life?

>> Julie: I'm sorry Abigail is being so...distant.

But, you know, she felt betrayed and not just by you--

by this whole family. It's cold comfort, but...

I believe, in time, all of these relationships can be repaired.

Gabi Hernandez, she went to enormous lengths

to make everybody believe that Abigail was ill again.

>> Chad: You saw through it, though.

>> Julie: Well... I saw it through a different

lens. If I hadn't known better,

I would have agreed with everyone else that Abby's

alter was back. >> Chad: But you did

know better. You had all the same evidence

that I did, and you had her back.

I'm her husband. I should have.

was for me to suffer.

You know, I keep thinking back to that shattering moment when I

opened the results and I saw... [sighs]

I saw Stefan's name there, and you just sat there, Gabi.

You just sat there in silence. You didn't say a damn word.

I never wanted you to abort Chad's baby.

I was the one trying to talk you out of it.

the one thing that would've stopped me.

You never said that that child wasn't conceived in rape.

I even went to Stefan so that he could "accidentally"

see the test results. >> Abigail: You let me tell Chad

that the baby wasn't his, and you stood by me

in that anguish. And that wasn't even enough

for you, Gabi. You just kept going.

You amped up your plan even further.

You made sure that I was sent to Bayview so that you and Chad--

God, so you guys could raise my children without me.

I hurt you that badly? >> Gabi: Yeah.

>> Xander: So when I dropped this on you in the Big Apple,

well, I just knew those pretty little ears would perk up

at the word "revenge." >> Eve: Yes, they did,

'cause I was dreaming of a way that I could pay Jennifer back

I do know it's probably gonna take some time.

But I do really believe that you're going to get

your memory back. >> Jack: My life has been

a complete blank for the last six years.

I remember nothing before my accident.

You fell down an elevator shaft, and the paramedics said

that you died instantly. How did you survive,

and where have you been all this time?

And there he was, after all those years.

For him to just look you in the eyes and not know

who you are, I... I can't imagine how painful

But it was ten times worse on my mom.

>> Jack: I have so few answers. From what I understand,

I was in a coma. And when I finally came to,

I was in really bad shape. >> Jennifer: I can't even

imagine. >> Jack: But I was slowly nursed

back to health by this brilliant but very peculiar doctor.

>> Jennifer: Do you remember his name?

>> Jack: Oh, yes, yes, yes. He had a very unusual name.

Uh, Dr. Wilhelm Rolf. >> Jennifer: Dr. Rolf?

>> Jack: You know him? >> Jennifer: Yes, I know him.

He worked for Stefano DiMera. I should have known that

that family was involved in this, Jack.

>> Jack: That name doesn't ring a bell, but, uh,

I-I-I really had no contact with anyone other than this--

this big, burly man who was taking care of me.

Uh, he had an unusual name too: Xander.

>> Jennifer: Xander Cook? >> Jack: You know him too?

>> Jennifer: Yes, Dr. Rolf and Xander Cook, they were

last seen in Nashville. >> Jack: Well, that's where

I was. I was in Nashville right up to

a couple of months ago in a private medical facility

there. It was the--the last in a long

chain of private clinics over the years.

>> Jennifer: Okay, so wait. You were with EJ DiMera, then.

Although you said that name doesn't ring a bell.

>> Jack: No. No, no, it--it doesn't.

I mean, I-I... Although Eve did say something

about an EJ being there. But I-I don't know.

I never saw anyone, so I couldn't say for sure.

>> Jennifer: Were you in the building when it blew up?

>> Jack: Yes. Oh, yes, yes.

Xander got me out. >> Jennifer: Wait a minute.

So Xander survived? Where is he right now?

>> Jack: I couldn't tell you that.

We went separate ways when he reunited me with Eve.

>> Jennifer: Reunited you with Eve?

How has that been, Jack? >> Jack: Uh, fine.

I'm very much at ease with her. >> Jennifer: Really?

What exactly did Eve tell you about your marriage?

>> Jack: To her? Uh, we were very much in love,

but life got in the way, and we grew apart.

>> Jennifer: Really? Life just got in the way?

>> Jack: Is that not accurate? >> Jennifer: Jack, that is an

understatement of gigantic proportions.

Let me tell you all about Eve.

>> Eve: Oh, and when Jack walked into that motel room...[sighs]

I thought I was hallucinating. I couldn't believe my eyes.

How... how--how can this be?

I mean, is this-- is this really you?

>> Jack: I'm...Jack Deveraux. And you are?

make sure he continued to make progress.

>> Xander: Well, they heard my sterling reputation as a...

caretaker. And as you can see,

I was doing quite well until the Wonder Twins showed up

and the entire facility went kaboom.

>> Eve: Okay, wait. So Jack was at the same facility

as EJ DiMera is what you're saying.

>> Xander: That's right. But he's in much better shape

'cause he had almost two years of rehab over EJ.

>> Eve: [gasps] It's--it's incredible.

>> Xander: Jack... would you mind heading back

to the other room? I think Eve could use a little

bit of time to, you know, digest all this.

>> Jack: I understand. It was nice meeting you, Eve.

>> Eve: Yeah, Jack.

Oh, my God. It's like...

What's wrong with him? What--what--

It's vacant. What is it? >> Xander: It's like he said.

He has no memory of you or anybody else,

including Jennifer... which you can use

to your benefit. >> Eve: How?

to shatter Ms. Horton's psyche and get your revenge

than to turn the one true love of her life against her?

don't know your wife well enough.

maybe that blinded you to some of her more unfortunate

traits of character? >> Chad: I should have known.

and the "coulda." It doesn't help.

Just face the fact you're a good-hearted person,

like Jennifer is a good-hearted person.

So you couldn't imagine anybody could be so calculating

and so cruel. >> Chad: You calling me naive?

>> Julie: No, darling, I'm calling you pure in heart.

>> Gabi: I mean, you go on and on about how I'm this

evil person, but I mean, how different

are we really? You lied about me

in a court of law, framed me for murder,

kept me from my daughter for months.

>> Abigail: I was sick, and I have taken responsibility.

I have admitted that. I have apologized.

>> Gabi: Yeah, well, and, what, "sorry" is gonna make it all

okay? Because of you,

Arianna's traumatized. Because of you,

I will never have children. Because of you, I have been

living a nightmare. So yeah, I-I get it.

I-I've done horrible things to you...

because of the unspeakable things that you have done to me.

The only difference is, Abigail, I didn't have an alter

to blame it on. I didn't have another

personality to hide behind.

I'm beginning to think that it worked, because we

have been torn apart by fate so many times.

Eve told me that we had plenty of problems between us.

There was a reason that we got divorced.

>> Jennifer: Yeah, sure. Yeah.

We did--we had our ups and downs, Jack.

But we had something that you and Eve never had together.

We were so in love with each other.

This is such a good sign. Maybe--maybe your memories

exactly what you're asking for. But what if this brilliant

revenge plan of yours blows up in my face, huh?

What if Jack remembers everything, including his

passionate love for Jennifer? And then all I've done

is reunite them. >> Xander: I'm not unreasonable.

I'll wait until you decide that the time is right to reintroduce

Jack to the lovely people of Salem.

And then if everything goes as intended...

only then will I demand payment.

>> Eve: Since you kept up your end of the deal...

here it is-- everything you asked for.

>> Eve: Yeah. But Jack's only been in town

for a day. If anything jars his memory,

>> Eve: [sighs] >> Jack: Getting my memory

>> Jennifer: Of course. You were the love of my life,

when I supposedly died. >> Jennifer: No.

But we were reconciled. >> Jack: So you want

to pick up where we left off?

>> Jennifer: I want to know you all over again, Jack.

I am so happy that you're back. >> Jack: What about

the doctor from New Year's Eve?

>> Jennifer: I haven't been on a date with him

in over a year, Jack. I was trying to move on from

a previous relationship. But I don't want to move on

with Henry. I want to move on with you.

>> Jack: After all this time? >> Jennifer: Yes,

after all this time. Because when I lost you,

my heart... broke into a million pieces,

and I didn't even know who I was.

I didn't know how to go on. And yes, I found love again,

Jack, but it was never the same.

>> Gabi: I know that what I did was wrong.

But at least I have the guts to own up to it,

even if it means that I will be separated again from the only

child that I will ever have.

district attorney. DA Trask would love to see you.

You're the key witness in this case, is that right?

>> Abigail: Uh, yes, I am. Uh...

but you can, uh--you can tell the district attorney that I'm

not going to press charges against Gabi Hernandez.

road ahead of me to earn her forgiveness back.

of the precious things that you and Abigail share:

two beautiful children of tender years

and a deep and abiding love definitely worth fighting for,
