[Love you seven times]

[Episode 10]

[Grand General of the Borders, Xie Lan]

Kong.

Uncle.

[Anliang]

After receiving your letter,

I immediately gathered my troops

to wait for you here.

Uncle.

Sorry to keep you waiting.

Kong,

you've suffered.

Where's Yingshi?

I sent someone to send her out of the capital.

At this moment...

Kong,

you don't have to blame yourself too much.

[Anliang]

I know how she's like.

As my adopted daughter,

any misfortune she runs into will turn into blessings.

Uncle, don't worry.

I'll send someone back to seek news of her.

I'm sure we'll be able to find Yingshi back.

General Lu.

Hu.

General.

[Commander of Feiyong Regiment, Commander Hu]

Boyang.

[Major General of Feiyong Regiment, Wang Boyang]

You're alive.

Both of you are alive.

It's thanks to you, General,

for sending out the news in time

that we

and the refugees in disaster-hit Wenkang

could evacuate in time.

[Xie]

We traveled from place to place

and arrived in Anliang.

It's thanks to General Xie who looked after us

that everyone is safe.

But, as for

Old General Lu

and his wife...

Your father made great contributions for the country.

But in His Majesty's eyes,

he did too much and threatened authority.

His Majesty just wanted to get rid of him.

Who would have thought

such an important figure to the nation

would end up like this?

General.

We must seek vengeance

for the Lu family.

We are gathered here today

so that we can avenge

General Lu,

the General's wife,

and all the other innocent souls who died in vain.

Kill that tyrannical good-for-nothing emperor!

Thank you, everyone.

My father was loyal to His Majesty all his life.

He has a clear conscience.

No one expected him to meet with such an end.

If I don't take revenge,

I'm not fit to be a son.

This is the order token of the Feiyong Regiment.

[Order]

From now on,

you can use this

to command the three armies.

[Order]

General.

We are old subordinates of Old General Lu,

and are committed to avenge Old General Lu.

Once you give the order,

we will all

respond to you.

[Order]

Pass my order.

I hereby order the three armies.

[Order]

We swear to avenge the innocent souls who died in vain.

To clear the name

of the Lu family.

To bring justice to our soldiers!

[Xie]

To bring justice to our soldiers!

To bring justice to our soldiers!

To bring justice to our soldiers!

To bring justice to our soldiers!

To bring justice to our soldiers!

To bring justice to our soldiers!

[Song Mansion]

Cui Bi.

Young Miss.

You're back.

Old Master, Madam.

Young Miss is back.

Xiangyun.

Yun.

Xiangyun!

Mother.

Song.

I'm back.

Why did you come back?

Did something happen to Changkong?

No.

I've discussed things with him.

He has his own plan.

It's inconvenient for me

to follow him.

Song,

the house seems so much emptier.

If anything happened at home,

don't lie to me.

What are you thinking?

Why would we be hiding anything from you?

Cui Bi.

Young Miss.

About Lu Fang...

Please forgive me, Young Miss.

I shouldn't be setting up a memorial tablet for a traitor.

But...

Cui Bi.

Why would I blame you?

I promised to save Lu Fang for you.

With the situation these days,

what can you even do?

Cui Bi,

I've let you down.

Young Miss,

please don't say that.

Tell me honestly.

What happened at home

when I was away?

After the incident in Lu Mansion,

Old Master was very upset,

which caused him to become depressed.

On top of that there are rumours outside,

and the servants kept talking amongst themselves.

So Old Master

dismissed them.

Young Miss.

Do you think Song Mansion too,

won't be able to hold on much longer?

Xiangyun.

Greetings, Your Highness.

You're finally back.

Is everything okay?

Thanks to Your Highness,

my journey was smooth.

Thank you for telling me what happened to my father.

We are friends.

I'm glad I was able

to help you.

How are things for our family now?

General Lu was well-respected in the court.

After the incident,

many ministers thought that

it was Commander Song

who got jealous of General Lu's capability

and deliberately framed him.

Now,

the Song family is being ostracized,

and the court receives many reports

impeaching Commander Song every day.

I know.

Matters of the court

are not all black and white.

Even righteous people like Uncle Lu

can be charged with treason.

I'm afraid

the Song family may also

meet its fall soon.

Miss Xiangyun.

I now have some bearing

in court affairs now.

I will try my best to

protect your parents' lives.

Has it already come to this state?

Indeed, things are not as simple as you think.

Father is seriously ill.

No one can predict what will happen in the court.

I have no way of

promising you more either.

My father has valued his reputation all his life.

Being in this situation now

must be worse than death for him.

Perhaps...

there is another possible solution to try.

What is it?

You can marry me.

This is just a temporary plan.

If you marry me,

With my prestige in the court,

the Song family will become relatives of the royal family.

To uphold the dignity of the empire,

the Song family

won't end up in too bad of a situation.

In this way,

we can definitely ensure your parents will be safe.

If...

But...

you'll be at a disadvantage.

No.

It's not like that.

The Song family's reputation is in a mess now.

You'll be implicated too.

I don't mind.

Do you expect me

to stand by and do nothing while watching

the Song family meet its demise?

It's just...

Right now, the Song family needs to get through this.

As for the rest,

we can always plan afterwards.

Xiangyun?

Father and Mother

have given me so much in this life.

Exchanging my relationship for the peace of the Song family...

I hope Lu Changkong won't blame me.

Alright.

I agree to it.

Really?

I'll keep my word..

Today,

I will ask Father for permission.

Don't worry.

They will be fine.

I, Xiangyun sincerely

thank you, Your Highness.

Xiangyun,

I hope you won't blame me

even after you find out the truth.

You hooligan!

Zihui...?

How dare you...

Miss Yingshi,

it's not what you think.

You were the one who carried me to the bed.

Nonsense!

Miss Yingshi.

Actually,

I am the stone

you've been hugging these few days.

You are...

Actually, I am a purple stone.

I only transformed into a human

after absorbing the spiritual energy from the heaven and earth.

This...

So, so you are...

I am a stone goblin.

Don't you dare lie to me.

Tell me the truth.

You really are

that purple stone?

Yes.

No, no, no.

You...

Although you've become a stone,

and you can't move or speak,

but you can see me,

and can hear me too?

Yes.

So everything I babbled

and said to you every day,

you heard it all? Without missing a word?

Without missing a word.

Then...

me bathing and changing every day...

you saw everything too?

Yes.

In that case...

Don't, don't!

Your Highness came back so quickly?

You look so happy.

I guess something good probably happened.

Xiangyun agreed to marry me.

That's really...

Congratulations, Your Highness.

Eunuch Zhao,

I'll leave this matter to you.

Yes.

You must choose

a comfortable palace residence for Xiangyun,

and clean it up nicely.

Xiangyun likes begonias,

so we should plant some begonia trees in the yard.

Most importantly,

it must be close to Ningyuan Palace.

Yes, yes.

Your Highness.

I hope you don't mind me saying this.

Go ahead.

Is Miss Xiangyun serious

about this marriage?

Actually I've been observing

over the past few days.

I'm just a little worried.

Eunuch Zhao.

I think you're a little

too talkative today.

I must have been muddle-headed.

Your Highness, please forgive me.

Go announce this good news

to the world.

Yes.

What's important is that

we must spread the word to Jinzhou.

I understand.

With the reputation of the General,

and the people's respect for Old General Lu,

we've had many guard armies

of the cities along the way

surrender without putting up a fight.

At this rate,

within half a month,

we should be able to reach the capital.

[Capital]

General.

Recently, the enemy has gathered troops near Jinzhou.

[Jinzhou]

But they are not making a move.

I'm not sure what they're planning.

[Jinzhou]

Military report from the capital!

General,

guess what?

After that lousy emperor

found out we were going to launch an attack,

he got so scared that he became bedridden.

He left matters of the court

to Prince Ning,

and even gave him the authority to command the army.

Prince Ning?

He's that sickly prince.

The daughter of that thief in the Song family

is just like her father,

and just wants glory and prestige.

She actually tried to play up to Prince Ning,

and apparently they're getting married in a few days.

Getting married?

Now Prince Ning is in charge of commanding the army,

but he's not making a move.

I feel something is wrong.

[Capital] [Jinzhou]

The capital.

Jinzhou.

[Huilong Dyke]

Huilong Dyke?

Eight years ago, it was the breaching of the Huilong Dyke

that caused the great flooding of Jin River?

Yes.

If the dyke bursts again,

then

tens of thousands of people of the Lu Army

will all die.

Countless people who live in the middle and lower reaches

will also die or get hurt.

Although Prince Ning is cruel,

I don't think he'll go that far.

If they want to attack the Huilong Dyke,

they need at least several hundred explosives.

It requires many vehicles to transport them.

They can't come in under our noses.

He did nothing.

He must know that we are going to attack the capital.

So he wants to delay the battle.

But he can only delay it

for at most ten days.

What on earth does he want to do?

He wants to stop me from returning to the capital.

So he used this world as a chess game

in order to

hold me back

and make me choose between the people in this world and Xiangyun.

The moon tonight

is very bright.

Lu Changkong.

Did you see it too?

Checkmate.

[Jinzhou] [Huilong Dyke]

Eight years ago, it was because the Huilong Dyke burst

that Jin River had a disaster.

Yes.

If the dyke bursts again,

tens of thousands of people of the Lu Army

will all die.

Countless people who live in the middle and lower reaches

will also die or get hurt.

Lu Changkong.

This time,

between thousands of people and Xiangyun,

who will you choose?

Search all the convoys and merchant ships

on the way to the dyke.

If I'm not mistaken,

the explosives have already been delivered here.

What?

[Song Mansion]

Why didn't you discuss it with your parents?

I acted on my own.

No.

I’ll go discuss with Prince Ning

and reject this marriage.

No need.

I'm serious.

Nonsense!

Marriage is not a joke.

Even if right now Changkong is...

You can't risk your happiness

for the rest of your life.

Daughter.

Tell me the truth.

Did you hear some rumors

saying something happened to our family,

that's why you're...

Don't worry.

I'm here.

The Song family will be fine.

You can't compromise because of this.

Song!

You overestimated me.

You watched me grow up.

You know me well.

Who can force me?

Besides,

I get along well with Prince Xiu Ming.

He treats me quite well.

We'll be respectful to each other

and support each other.

It's not too bad either.

But the palace is like a sea.

How can you survive with your temper?

Mother.

Don't worry.

Even if it's the Cold Palace,

I will make the best out of it.

And Prince Ning said

I don’t need to stay in the palace.

I can come back often to accompany you.

How much do you know about Third Prince?

Let me tell you.

He's actually–

Commander Song.

Greetings, Your Highness.

Save the courtesy.

This is not the court.

You two

are my future father-in-law and mother-in-law.

You flatter me.

You're too kind, Your Highness.

Please.

Okay.

Your Highness.

My daughter acted recklessly.

Marriage is not child's play either.

Please reconsider it, Your Highness.

You're right.

We shouldn't forget the etiquette with regards to this matter.

Although Father has issued an edict to the world,

I still should visit

and present the betrothal gifts.

Stop waiting.

Hurry up and present the betrothal gifts.

Commander Song.

Madam.

Please take a look.

These are treasures bestowed by His Majesty.

Your Highness.

Thank you for Your Highness and His Majesty's kindness.

But my daughter is stubborn by nature.

It’s really hard to take on this huge responsibility.

Commander Song.

Are you worried that I will hurt Xiangyun?

Or do you think

that I'm not good enough for Xiangyun?

I dare not.

Good.

Don’t worry, Commander.

I will protect Xiangyun forever.

Your Highness, is there anything else

you're here for this time?

Father ordered

for our wedding date

to be set ten days from today.

Ten days from today?

It's a bit hasty.

Father is bedridden with disease.

It's also for good luck to ward off the imminent death.

Today, I'm here to take you into the palace

to discuss the wedding matters

and learn some palace etiquette.

There are many rules in the palace indeed.

You just have to follow them.

I've already talked to the nannies.

They won't give you a hard time.

Mother. Song.

Don't worry.

I will take good care of myself.

When you use magic,

you become a stone of prohibition.

It's really troublesome.

How about I teach you martial arts?

Then,

you can protect yourself

even if you don't use magic in the future.

Shadow Flow Sword Technique.

[White Clouds Emerge from the Mountains]

But

within a short time,

[Unlocked Potential of the Hidden Dragon]

can I master it?

It should take as long as five to six years.

If you're exceptionally talented,

it'll still take at least two to three years.

Take your time to learn.

You...

You learned this move

quite well.

All the roads to Huilong Dyke

[Jinzhou] [Huilong Dyke]

have been checked.

We didn't find

any carriages or ships transporting gunpowder.

General.

Do you think

Prince Ning will really blow up the dyke

to turn the war situation around?

Or

is it just a cover-up?

[Ningyuan Palace]

How are the arrangements

in Jinzhou?

Your Highness.

The gunpowder is ready.

As you ordered,

as long as we cross the trestle bridge,

within one night,

we'd reach Huilong Dyke.

[Jinzhou] [Huilong Dyke]

Here?

Yes.

In between Mount Jinchong and Huilong Dyke,

there was originally a road.

After the dyke was built,

this place was flooded

and there's no longer any road for traveling.

But recently, it's the dyke's storage period

and the rivers are dry.

This road

is revealed again.

Pick a team of elites who are good at riding and shooting

to set up an ambush here.

[Huilong Dyke]

Keep up.

Ready.

Come on, pull yourselves together.

Ready.

Those at the back, hurry up!

Hurry up.

Those at the back, hurry up!

Wait.

Wait.

This way.

What's going on?

They seem to be transporting heavy supplies,

but the tracks of the carriage are not deep.

There should be no gunpowder in the carriage.

They are trying to mislead us

and confuse us.

Let's wait a bit longer.

Okay.

Those over there. Keep up.

Hurry up. Keep up.

Those at the back, don't fall behind.

Hurry up.

Stop dawdling. Hurry up.

Be careful.

Ready.

Those at the back, keep up.

Release.

There's an ambush! Watch out!

Watch out.

Be on guard!

On guard!

Light the fire.

Release!

Watch out!

Kill!

Useless trash!

You were of no help!

I didn't do my job well.

I deserve to die.

You deserve to die,

but it's not the time for you to die yet.

Miss.

You can try to add a bit of jasmine.

It will be more fragrant.

Okay.

Your Highness.

Why are you here?

I came to see you.

It smells so good.

Who are these for?

One for you,

one for Mother and one for Song.

And...

one for me.

By the way,

this is for you.

Thank you for stepping forward

to save our family.

Why this one?

I think

blue suits Your Highness better.

There is another blue one.

This...

was a defective one that I made by accident.

I can't give it to Your Highness.

I'll give this to Song.

It's so beautiful.

It's from Miss Xiangyun,

so I'll definitely treasure it.

Your Highness. Your...

Miss Xiangyun.

Xiangyun.

I have some things to take care of.

Go ahead.

All right.

His Highness loves you so much.

His Highness is a gentle person.

He and I are companions.

We can be considered good friends.

Don't say things like this

that'd make His Highness sad.

If His Highness has no feelings for you,

why would he risk his life

to accept the sachet you made?

He likes it so much too.

He kept smelling it too.

His Highness has a weak body.

It's not good for him to smell incense.

Especially the cinnamon you used.

It's something that can never appear in Ningyuan Palace.

Yet, he treated it like a treasure today,

holding it in his hands.

H-how could that be.

His Highness

must be having rashes now.

Didn't you say it's a temporary measure?

How could it be?

If Xiu Ming really likes me,

yet I marry him for the Song Family,

[Ningyuan Palace]

isn't that despicable of me?

But if I don't marry him,

what would Song and Mother do?

No.

I must make it clear to him.

Third Brother.

I beg you.

Let my mother go.

Now that Father has been held hostage by you,

and the officials are being manipulated by you,

you already have everything.

For the sake of our bloodline,

please let me go.

Who do you think you are to me?

How dare you

talk about bloodline with me?

Your life and death

has nothing to do with me.

Xiu Ming,

don't go too far!

Don't forget what you've done.

What about Miss Song?

In order to get her,

you took calculated steps

and set various traps.

You proposed to Father

and made Father kill the Lu family.

Now, you forced her family into such a plight.

Isn't it all to make her desperate

and have no choice but to come along with you?

It seems

you know a lot.

Xiu Ming.

You're so cruel.

Do you think Song Xiangyun will still marry you

if she knew these?

Why are you so quiet?

I'm right, aren't I?

Xiu Ming,

I advise you to show some mercy.

Remember,

if I go to hell with my mother,

I will make you the scapegoat.

[Ningyuan Palace]

[Ningyuan Palace]

Miss X-Xiangyun.

Why are you here?

Are you here for Prince Ning?

Xiangyun?

Xiangyun.

When did you come?

You set Song Family up to eradicate the Lu family.

And it was also you

who put our family in such a desperate situation.

Xiangyun...

let me explain this to you,

okay?

Xiangyun!

[Ningyuan Palace]

Why?

Why?

Is it really just for me?

Xiangyun,

I have no other wish in this life.

I only want you.

So, this is not a temporary solution.

You've been lying to me all along.

The Song and Lu family

are all under your control.

Xiangyun...
