[Love you seven times]

[Episode 9]

Don't worry, Commander.

The soldiers have started searching.

I heard that the traitor of the Lu family was injured.

Believe me. Within a few days,

he'll be brought to justice

and your daughter will come home.

I'm grateful for your help.

It's my pleasure.

I guess you don't know

that Xiangyun and I

are close friends.

Close friends?

I and Xiangyun go back a long way.

Rest assured, Commander.

I'll do my best

to bring Xiangyun back.

I won't

let anything

happen to Xiangyun.

Commander, have a good rest.

I'll take my leave.

I didn't know

that Prince Ning was so sophisticated.

The fiercest dog

doesn't bark.

All encounters in the world

are destined.

It's fate

that brought us together.

It'll also be fate that pulls us apart.

Fate waxes and wanes.

People come and go.

It's all just a dream.

Hundreds of years later,

nothing will be remembered.

We only live for a few decades.

Dreams will burst like bubbles eventually.

That's why

we can't give up on love

or escape love tribulations.

I hope it can always be like this.

You're not Chu Kong.

You're just Lu Changkong.

Lu Changkong.

After knowing

that you fell into the water,

your father immediately prepared ginger soup for you

in case you catch a cold.

Here.

Kong.

Life is short.

None of us can stay around

for too long.

I do have high hopes for you,

but I won't push you to do anything.

I just wish you a safe and happy life.

As your father,

I wish you could be kind,

wise,

and brave.

As a subject,

you should speak up for justice

instead of being a silent coward.

Do you understand what I mean?

I do.

Good boy.

Kong,

after you sneak out,

you must be careful.

Father, don't worry.

I'll definitely

bring back the secret edict.

Okay.

My lord.

Father!

My lord.

Stay alive.

Mother!

Xiangyun.

Look at your fiancé.

At this moment,

I suddenly realize

that he can never see his family

who'd look at him so gently again.

Immortals live eternally

so they don't understand the pain

of watching those they love die.

From the perspective of an immortal,

it's just an ordinary love tribulation

and I don't need to be sad.

But for mortals,

death

means completely gone.

When this life ends,

everything ends with it.

Everyone's life is unique

and no one can live their life again.

I can't believe

you wrote such a ridiculous story.

Do you have a death wish?

I…

I did this for Xiangyun's sake.

One can't find true love

without experiencing pain.

Love stories

need to have ups and downs

to be unforgettable.

Immortal Li,

I didn't know you cared for Xiangyun so much.

For her,

you're willing to risk your life.

She's my best friend.

Darn it.

What are these absurd plots?

I didn't write them.

Has my Fate Book

gone out of control

because Chu Kong and Xiangyun are too powerful?

What should I do next?

Lu Changkong,

where are you going?

We're over.

Don't follow me.

Lu Changkong,

I know what you meant,

but you're injured.

I can't leave you alone.

Song Xiangyun,

we'll be complete strangers in the future.

You go your way

and I go mine.

Let us

part ways here.

Lu Changkong.

Has your wound opened up again?

What are you doing?

Checking your wound.

You're weak now.

Let me help you.

Does it hurt very much?

I'll be gentle.

Stop. Stop.

What are you here for?

Where are you going?

We're going north.

North?

Do a routine check.

Go.

Who's in the carriage?

Lü He!

Miss Fairy, I'm coming to save you.

This is…

This is the house I prepared for you.

Daily necessities

and everything you may need to live here

have been prepared.

Besides,

it's safe here.

Those soldiers

can't find you.

Zihui.

Are you…

Are you feeling unwell?

I'm fine.

How about this?

Take a rest here.

I'll get you some hot water.

Zihui.

Come out.

Come out now,

or I'll be angry.

I want to buy your umbrella.

Will you sell it to me?

I want your umbrella!

I'll take your silence

as a yes.

He shouted "Miss Fairy"

and jumped into the water to save you.

So it was always you.

You…

What are you doing?

It was me who brought you away

that day.

From now on,

you're mine.

Understand?

Yes.

I received Miss Yingshi's message

and prepared this lakeside house.

I decorated it the way you like it.

I've also prepared

all the furniture.

Before I realized it,

you'd become the only one

who stayed with me

and listened to me

when I needed help.

I was mean sometimes.

Idiot.

But you didn't leave me.

When I was in trouble,

only you helped me.

From beginning to end,

what I need most

has always

been just you.

Looks like

we're almost there.

Prince Ning is here.

Your Highness.

Since Father is asleep,

you may leave.

Yes.

Let's go.

Father.

Don't worry, Father.

I'll handle court affairs

for you.

You

just need to have a good rest.

You look tired, Father.

I

will take my leave.

I…

It's been so many days.

Still no sign of Xiangyun?

Well…

No.

It's time to give those officials a hint

and spur them into action.

Yes.

Give it to me.

There are even more soldiers in this place.

I've hidden the carriage.

Let's

find a place to sleep.

Guys,

after searching this house,

we can go back to rest.

Okay.

That's an empty house.

No need to check.

Let's go in and have a look.

That guy is wanted by the court after all.

You guys,

check over there.

Yes.

Look carefully. Check every corner.

Don't miss anything.

Okay.

How's it?

Is anyone there?

No.

No.

Let's go back.

Let's go.

Let's go.

Look.

When we were in danger,

you protected me all the same.

It's okay now.

But

what should we do next?

They're searching for us everywhere

and will find us no matter where we hide.

The best place to hide is in plain sight.

We'll stay in this yard for now.

When it's safe to go out,

I'll go to my uncle's barracks.

What do you say?

Why are we

dressed like this?

Every year when winter starts,

many people leave the capital to go back north.

We'll blend in with them

to leave the capital.

That's a good idea.

But

if someone asks

about our relationship,

what…

What should we say?

Give me your bag.

You haven't answered me.

[Still Inn]

Take care.

Please.

Boss.

We have guests.

Need a place to stay?

Sir.

Two rooms.

[Room Yellow]

You only have one room left?

We have many empty rooms.

But you need to pay more.

Don't think I'll forgive you

just because we have to stay in one room.

What are you waiting for?

Let's go.

Go.

She's angry.

Sir, your wine.

If it weren't for me,

you would've been exposed.

You reacted very quickly.

Sir, the food you ordered.

You're back.

What's that?

I'll sleep on the floor tonight.

It's okay.

I can do it myself.

Fine.

But you'll sleep on the bed.

I'll sleep on the floor.

No.

You're injured.

You can't sleep on the floor.

No way.

How can I let you sleep on the floor?

Why did you put it there?

I read it in novels.

If a couple has to sleep on the same bed

before getting married,

they can put a bowl of water between them.

Your injuries

haven't healed.

I can't let you sleep on the floor every night while we're together.

I…

It's decided.

Either we both sleep on the bed,

or I sleep on the floor.

Take care, sir.

This is not a pawnshop.

You can only sell things.

Please do me a favor.

Take a look at it.

How much do you think it's worth?

Three taels of silver.

Just three taels of silver?

The threads on it

are made of peacock feathers.

Can you give me more?

Even phoenix feathers

are just feathers.

It's neither fireproof

nor stab-proof.

In the whole town,

no one will wear something like this.

Even if it's valuable,

no one will buy it.

So why should I buy it from you?

I…

Go away.

Sir.

Your jade

is worth much more.

Jade?

Sorry.

I won't sell

this jade.

God.

I'm done talking with you.

If you can't pay for the room,

move out as soon as possible.

Greetings, Your Holiness.

May I know

why you asked for me?

I summoned you here

to ask about how Chu Kong has been

in the mortal world.

Is there anything untoward?

You're so busy

but didn't forget Immortal Chu Kong's tribulation.

My brother

is good at everything,

but when it comes to love,

he becomes a little dense.

However,

love tribulations

are the key to repairing his primordial spirit.

So I'm very concerned about them.

Your Holiness.

You don't need to worry.

Xiangyun and Immortal Chu Kong

have gone through a lot during this tribulation,

but by this moment,

they've already fallen in love with each other.

No one can separate them.

I'm surprised

to know that.

It surprised me too.

Li

can't do anything right

but is full of bad ideas.

The Fate Book he wrote

is very thrilling

and full of ups and downs.

I think

after this tribulation,

Immortal Chu Kong can recover

his primordial spirit very soon.

I'm so relieved

to hear that.

I'll take my leave.

Why don't we

ask the inn owner

to change our bed?

He'll ask for extra money.

Novels

are not reliable.

You shouldn't read

those novels again.

Don't you think

it looks like we're eloping?

You should leave.

I don't know

what's waiting for me in the future.

I understand.

No matter what the future will bring,

I'll be by your side.

I'll face everything with you.

[Still Inn]

Miss.

Who are you?

Don't panic.

We're here to save you.

I believe you.

Like hell I will!

Don't panic.

To tell you the truth,

Prince Ning sent us here

to bring you back.

Prince Ning?

Yes.

His Highness is worried about the Song family

and doesn't want Great Chen to lose another important official.

So he ordered us

to bring you back.

My father?

What happened to him?

Because of what happened to the Lu family,

Commander Song is now in a perilous situation

with few people on his side.

You helped the traitor escape.

If someone

uses this to accuse Commander Song

of colluding with rebels,

the Song family will be doomed.

What are you doing?

You're out for too long.

I'm worried about you.

Did they do anything to you?

I'm fine.

Why did you mess with a defenseless girl?

Who are you?

Are you all right?

We'll spare your life today!

Let's go.

Let them go.

You're injured.

They'll tell the court about our whereabouts.

They're just bandits.

Don't worry.

Did they tell you something?

No.

They didn't say anything.

You're still on the mend.

Let's go back.

Let's go.

Let's go.

Why didn't you fall for it?

Are you still taking me as the stupid boy

who lit firecrackers in the house?

What's wrong with being a stupid boy?

At that time,

you were not very smart

and believed everything I said.

You don't

fall for my little tricks now.

It's disappointing.

Actually, at that time,

I saw through all your tricks.

I just pretended to be fooled

to make you happy.

What?

How…

How dare you play me?

I think

you are

the worst.

Look at that brightest star.

Do you know what it's called?

No.

It's the Star of War.

It's you.

Did you see it?

Yes.

It's very bright.

Do you remember us watching the moon together

when we were young?

Of course.

You got drunk and kept yelling.

Then you fell asleep.

Without me,

you'd have fallen off the table.

Actually, I wasn't asleep.

I was afraid you'd push me away

so I pretended to be asleep.

Good for you.

You fooled me again.

You know what?

You're much better

at playing tricks than me.

I knew it was wrong

but I did it anyway.

Because I didn't know what the future would be like.

You…

Are you doing what I did?

[Still Inn]

If we go west,

we can reach my uncle's barracks.

If we go east,

we can go home.

I know.

I know

my father too well.

He'd rather speak up for justice and die than be a silent coward.

Your father was ordered by the emperor and had no choice.

I wish

I could never meet him on the battlefield.

Do you remember what I told you back then?

Xiangyun,

I won't be by your side in the future,

but when you look up at the moon…

Our eyes

will meet up there.

So we'll still be together.

Here.

Take this.

It's…

Your bride price.

Now I give it to you.

[Still Inn]

I know

there are things you need to do.

If I stay with you,

I'll become your weakness.

There are also responsibilities

I need to fulfill in this life as Song Xiangyun.

I can't abandon my parents

and watch them die.

I have to go back

to do what Song Xiangyun should do.

Sir, wait a second.

Your wife

left this for you.

She left you the horse outside too.

She said these are her dowry.

These are dangerous times

and bad things may happen anytime.

I wish you and your wife

could stay safe.

Thank you.

The world is so big.

Life is full of possibilities.

We parted ways today

and will go down separate paths,

but our story will resume.
