[Love you seven times]

[Episode 7]

Look.

His Divinity is indeed incomparably valiant.

Our Xiangyun is not bad either.

No, you don't understand.

It's about love. Love.

Li is right.

Only love can overcome all obstacles.

The love between Xiangyun and Immortal Chu Kong

is really touching.

Touching?

Come on.

Let's eat together.

It's more enjoyable eating together.

Oh, my red thread.

I didn't expect

Xiangzi would make me proud.

Isn't that because my Fate Book is well written?

Immortal Li, before, you mentioned about those...

those...

exciting plot points.

Have you forgotten?

I can satisfy all your needs.

I'll arrange for it.

Very good.

What exciting plot points?

This exciting...

Greetings, Your Holiness.

You four are so in the mood.

How about

I prepare two more plates of melon seeds for you

to watch it again?

I have something important to do.

I'll get going.

I'm going back to the Marriage Pavilion.

I'll take my leave.

I’ll take my leave.

[Lu Mansion]

Father.

Why are you back so late?

I have something

to discuss with you.

I want to break off the engagement.

You want to break off the engagement

because of what happened at the horse farm today, right?

I know you don't want to be the Princes' Tutor.

But after what happened at the horse farm today,

of course I understand

His Majesty's attitude.

But

there is no turning back.

I can take the position of the Princes' Tutor for now.

But the Lu and Song families are very close.

Now, we are walking on thin ice.

I don't want to implicate Xiangyun...

or even the Song family.

This concerns the reputation of Xiangyun.

Unless it's the last resort,

I don't want to do this.

Later, when the time is right,

I'll clarify things with her.

You've thought it through.

It's not yet to the point of the last resort.

But

if the Song and Lu families

cut ties with each other,

I'm afraid we'll be criticized.

My lord.

My lord.

[Ledger]

You may leave.

Yes.

Father.

I've never seen him in the mansion before.

Is he also a member of the Lu Army?

Yes.

There are so many people in the Lu Mansion.

How can you remember them all?

Father.

Are you hiding something from me?

Of course not.

If it involves the court,

please be cautious.

Did you burn yourself?

Why didn't you let go?

Because you were pouring the tea.

Silly boy.

Let me see.

If His Majesty were the one to pour the tea,

and you were the one to hold the teacup,

would you have let go?

I didn't let go because

I have to be filial as a son.

So I understand

that you are loyal to His Majesty.

But...

Water can't flow backwards,

and the cup can't fall to the ground.

Although the emperor's heart is unpredictable,

I have a clear conscience.

You just need to remember that

for everything I've done in my life,

I have lived up to my conscience

and to the people.

If it involves the court,

please be cautious.

Young Master, have some fruits.

My lord.

[Ledger]

Lu Fang.

Help me find

all the ledgers of the Lu Army

for the past ten years.

All of them?

Yes.

Go now.

Only,

I do feel guilty

to you and your mother.

Both father and son are united in mind.

If there are any difficulties,

I will bear them with you.

Young Master.

You didn't sleep all night?

The sun has risen from the west.

Even Third Brother is at the drill ground.

I'm afraid he's just out to sunbathe.

Marksmanship requires a clear mind

to focus on the target.

One's strength

is secondary.

Greetings, Your Highnesses.

Tutor.

You don't know.

My Third Brother has been weak since childhood.

He's not cut out for martial arts.

Instead of being out here,

it'd be better for him to go back to the palace

and have a good rest.

We won't know...

until he's tested.

I hurt my hand a few days ago.

Luckily, a lady helped me.

But I haven't fully recovered.

Tutor, I hope you could give me a hand.

Marksmanship emphasizes on the five levels and three supports.

She also told me

to be more careful.

A truly excellent archer

is marked by one's inner strength.

If you can aim at the target without distraction,

you still need to pierce through their armor

to take the enemy's life.

Tutor.

You're right.

Look at him shoot.

He couldn't even recognize his target.

He approached me several times before

and completely understood how I lead the army.

He pretends to be weak and sickly,

but he's in fact hiding his skills.

But now, he's not hiding anything and showing off his skills.

Tutor, take a look.

How was my shot?

Your Highness is powerful.

I really admire you.

It seems like the Tutor

is bootlicking Third Brother now.

I think so too.

Boring.

Let's go.

Let's go.

Here.

You're very composed.

That's what really

impressed me.

I also have to treat Your Highness differently.

When you are free,

you can come to Ningyuan Palace to play chess with me.

It's only fun if I meet a worthy opponent.

A worthy opponent?

Your Highness is really good at chess.

Lu, you're flattering me.

I was born in the royal family.

I was weak since I was young.

And my mother is not favored.

So, I needed to learn

to be observant

and careful.

If you really want to play against me,

I'll play with you.

But life is like chess.

After you make your move, you should not regret it.

No regrets.

Of course.

General Lu is right.

General Lu agrees too.

Not bad.

General Lu.

General Lu.

General Lu.

Is the leader of the world surnamed Li

or Lu?

Get out!

Father!

What are you doing here?

The tree of the Lu family

does need to be trimmed.

I have an idea

to help you get rid of this trouble.

With your capabilities?

Tell me.

Eight years ago,

Jin River burst its banks

and caused a century-long disaster.

Father allows a large sum of money every year

for the settlement of the refugees

and the families of the dead soldiers.

I heard that

General Lu arranged the settlement of the refugees

to be in the suburb of the capital,

Wenkang.

Xiu Ming.

I only

entrusted this matter to Lu Liang,

and didn't leave any evidence behind.

How did you find out about it?

I'm your son.

Of course I'm thinking for the Li family.

Does it matter how I

found out about it?

What matters is

the Private Army

is rebelling.

That's a grave crime that could be punished by the extermination of the whole family.

Young Master.

Young Master, you haven't slept for two days.

What happened

that made you so worried?

Are all the files from eight years ago here?

Yes, I got them from the Document Office personally.

Nothing is missing.

Song

is punishing me until now

and wouldn't let me go out.

He wouldn't come to see me either.

Coming.

Not coming.

Coming.

Not coming.

Coming.

Lu...

Miss.

Miss.

Miss.

I went to the Lu Mansion to ask around.

I heard that Young Master Lu is very busy recently

and went out again.

He went out?

After the royal tournament then,

Young Master Lu never came here even once.

Don't tell me he really changed his mind

and ran away with another girl?

What are you talking about?

Lu Changkong is not that kind of person.

If he really ran away with another girl,

then...

I should be happy.

But why do I feel so frustrated,

like there's a big rock weighing on my heart?

I can't breathe.

Miss, you've been waiting and yearning

on this crabapple tree for so many days.

After coming back from the drill ground,

you've been constantly mentioning Young Master Lu.

Obviously, you've long fallen in love with Young Master Lu.

I...

I...

Have I?

Really?

Miss, if you deny it again,

I'm afraid this crabapple tree

will soon be bald from your plucking.

Cui Bi, get me some food.

Miss, you're finally going to eat.

I'll bring it to you now.

Miss.

Can you tell me in advance

when you summon me next time?

Hui, I have a good job for you.

What is it?

Go check out the Lu Mansion.

Miss Fairy.

[Lu Mansion]

Miss Yingshi.

After you fell into the water that day,

are you suffering from any discomfort?

I specially bought some melon fruit and medicinal food

for you to nourish your body.

You are the person

who pretended to be a Lu Mansion's servant and took me away that day.

Why are you here?

Tell me the truth.

I'm here because Miss Xiangyun entrusted me

to come inquire about Young Master Lu's recent situation.

Okay.

You work for Song Xiangyun.

She sent you to lure me away

and take the chance

to ruin my date with my cousin.

Right?

Yes, and no.

That day, I took you away

out of my own will.

It has nothing to do with Miss Xiangyun.

What great favor did she do for you?

It's sort of like fate.

When I first entered the mortal world,

I was severely beaten up by a thug.

Thanks to Miss Xiangyun's help,

my life was saved.

So I call her my benefactor.

That simple?

Then I understand.

Lü He.

Got it.

Come here.

Miss, why are you doing this?

Stop hitting me!

Stop!

Song Xiangyun saved your life.

So you work for and serve her

faithfully.

Now, I also saved your life.

Mr. Zihui, what should you do?

If you need anything,

just let me know.

I, Xie Yingshi, am considerate.

I won't give you a hard time.

You can still stay by Song Xiangyun's side.

But

I have your heart.

From now on,

you are

a spy I planted by Song Xiangyun.

If anything happens to her,

you have to report to me.

Most importantly,

try hard to make her cut ties with my cousin.

This...

[Song Mansion]

Why isn't Zihui back yet?

Don't ever do such a dangerous thing

ever again.

Do you hear me?

Do you hear me?

Oh no.

No way.

Am I destined to fall in love with him

because of Li's Love Tribulation Fate Book?

My Young Miss hasn't been eating well.

So has my Young Master.

Your Young Master doesn't know how to take the initiative.

He is so busy.

Why couldn't your Young Miss

care and ask about his wellbeing?

My Young Miss is grounded by the Old Master.

She can't go out.

Really?

I thought that once my Young Master and your Young Miss get married,

we would be reunited.

But we can't just watch them break up.

Persuade your Young Master to come to the Song Mansion to apologize.

After all, my Young Master

did nothing wrong.

So you just want to see us break up too.

I'll go back and try.

That's all for today.

That's it?

Cui Bi.

Come, sit down.

Cui Bi.

Shall we talk about something else today?

My Young Miss's matter isn't settled yet.

I'm not in the mood.

I'm leaving.

Cui Bi.

Regardless of the wind or rain,

I'll always be waiting for you.

Your... Your Highness.

How long have you been here?

Just a while.

You were sleeping soundly,

so I didn't want to disturb you.

Have a seat.

What brings you here

to see me today?

I'm afraid

I need your help for a small matter.

My sister Jiu's birthday is coming.

As a man, I don't know what women like.

So, I want to ask you

to help me find a gift for Jiu.

Is that okay?

Of course.

Because

I don't have anything important to do anyway.

How about

I take Your Highness to shop in the streets now?

Princess Jiu is used to the rare items in the palace.

I'm sure she'll like the commonfolk stuff.

That's great.

Let's go then.

Let's go.

Your Highness, your shoulder...

The imperial court allocates a huge amount of money for the soldiers' salaries every year.

It doesn't match the number of people in the Lu Army's barracks at all.

Then what are those extra money

being used for?

Father.

Are you hiding something from me?

Of course not.

[Recruit Soldier Silu List]

[To Wang Boyang]

Lu Fang.

This letter.

Pass a secret order

to send this letter to the Lu Army's barracks in Wenkang.

Yes.

Your Highness, look.

This is interesting.

[Wood Sculpture]

I think Princess Jiu will like it.

She'll like whatever you buy.

Wood sculptures! Beautiful wood sculptures!

It's a rare piece of wood!

It's hard and wooden.

It's one in a century.

Miss, you're here again.

Take a look.

Xiangyun.

After we get married,

all my wealth,

including me,

♫If I shatter my dreams♫

will be under your control.

♫I won't have to feel sorrow again♫

♫Fill the vacant soft spots with dust♫

Xiangyun.

Xiangyun.

What's wrong?

♫If love isn't noble♫

Nothing.

I'm fine.

♫What right does it have to make me face it with embarrassment♫

♫My destroyed heart is falling♫

♫I understand that love is not a necessity in life♫

♫But I still can't learn how to get used to things that go against my wishes♫

♫Love has nothing to do with it♫

♫What trapped me was my unwillingness♫

♫Cute, it shouldn't be♫

Why won't it make a sound when I blow it?

♫It ended so badly♫

Let me try.

♫Who cannot be replaced♫

♫Loving oneself is the key to lifelong romance♫

♫The sky will still be blue♫

♫Love has nothing to do with it♫

♫What trapped me was my unwillingness♫

♫Cute, it shouldn't be♫

♫It ended so badly♫

You...

♫Who cannot be replaced♫

You're fooling with me again.

♫Loving oneself is the key to lifelong romance♫

Stop there! Stop there!

♫The sky will still be blue♫

Stop there! Don't run!

♫I'll still be brave next time♫

♫Love has nothing to do with it♫

♫I will be full of expectations for the future♫

This is so cute.

♫No matter how this love♫

♫How badly it ended♫

Our Song and Lu families

♫Who cannot be replaced♫

share our glories and losses.

If His Majesty gets angry,

♫Loving oneself is the key to lifelong romance♫

not only will our Song family be in trouble,

but we'll also implicate Changkong.

♫The sky will still be blue♫

[Lu Mansion]

♫I'll still be brave next time♫

Young Master, the refugee families in Wenkang

have evacuated immediately.

Okay, pass my order

for all the generals and families of the Lu Army in the capital

to leave the capital immediately.

Yes.

Young Master.

Is something

about to happen to the Lu family?

In that case,

why don't you leave the capital as soon as possible?

If I leave now,

more innocent people will be implicated.

We'll talk about it when everyone is safe.

Well,

what about Miss Song?

I can never implicate her.

Go now.

Yes.

Thank you for your help today.

When Jiu sees these toys,

she'll be very happy.

It's just a small matter.

Don't mention it, Your Highness.

Did you buy the painted pottery

for General Lu?

He may look majestic on the battlefield

and decent in the court,

but in private,

he's blur and foolish.

This pig looks a lot like him.

What about the tiger?

Last time,

you said you didn't want to have too many ties with Lu Changkong.

Is that true?

If you're really unwilling,

I can help you mediate

and get this marriage canceled.

Thank you for sending me back, Your Highness.

Xiangyun.

Don't forget what I told you.

No matter what your wish is,

I

will help you fulfill it.

I'll get going then.

How's the investigation going?

Miss Yingshi was right.

The pork knuckles in North Street

can't compare to the pig's trotters in South Street indeed.

And the price is two taels more.

And?

And this.

My Yearning is Bitter

is more widespread than

My World of Yearning.

[My Yearning is Bitter] [My World of Yearning]

And the illustrations are more exquisite.

How great is

My Yearning is Bitter?

She even has no taste in what she reads.

I don't get what my cousin likes about her.

Miss Xiangyun is straightforward and kind.

She has many strong points.

Cousin.

Cousin, look what I brought you.

This is the most famous pig's trotters in South Street.

It's delicious.

And this Jinchuang Medicine.

You don't have to do this for me.

I like you.

I know how you feel.

But I've only ever seen you as my sister.

I've never thought about you in any other way.

I know.

It's all because of Song Xiangyun.

No matter what happens between me and Song Xiangyun,

it's impossible

between us.

All right.

Go back to the border first

and leave the capital immediately.

How dare you chase me away for Song Xiangyun?

I'll leave then.

Miss, are we really going back to Anliang?

What a joke.

It wasn't easy for me to escape out of there.

Why should I go back?

I'll also be forced into a marriage by my godfather.

How can we come back?

I have my own way.

The four of you, protect Miss.

Yes.

Miss, please.

So

something is about to happen to the Lu family?

His Majesty has asked the Investigating Censor

to secretly take away all the files and ledgers of the Lu family.

Something will happen sooner or later.

It's already come to this.

[Lu Mansion]

Young Master.

You should eat something.

Young Master.

If you need anything later,

remember to call me.

Xiangyun.

Why are you here?

I have something important to tell you.

Young Master.

Why don't I go to the Song Mansion on your behalf

and invite Miss Song over?

I saw you frequently

holding onto the longevity jade pendant tightly at night.

You must miss her very much.

In my opinion,

you shouldn't mess with her...

Shut up.

Go.

Did I not make myself clear last time?

The Lu Mansion may be in danger.

You'd better pack up

and leave the capital immediately.

We grew up together.

I really don't want

to make the situation so ugly.

Fine.

Why do you keep pestering me?

I don't want to say anything mean anymore.

[Engagement Annulment]

Song told me

the Investigating Censor has secretly obtained

your family's files and ledgers.

I don't think he's bluffing.

You'd better leave here quickly.

Our Lu family's generals have been loyal

to their duties for four generations.

How could anything happen?

Why are you still lying to me?

You must have heard something,

so you're cutting ties with me.

You're afraid of implicating my family.

I won't believe what you say.

Xiangyun.

Why do you think I'll be faithful to you forever?

Do you really want me to make it clear?

Fine, let me tell you.

Me breaking off the engagement with you

has nothing to do with the Song family.

What do you mean by implicating you?

We grew up together as childhood sweethearts.

But people change.

Look at you now.

You hang around in the streets and play in gambling houses all day.

And those little tricks.

I'm tired.

I don't want to play with you anymore.

Okay?

From now on,

you have nothing to do with me.

Don't interfere

in my business anymore.

After I've said all that...

why are you still not leaving?

Lu Changkong.

If saying all these and doing all these things

can make you feel at ease,

I'm willing to cooperate with you.

And I won't be an obstacle in your path.

But with regards to breaking off our engagement,

it's not urgent.

If after you get through this

and you still think in this way,

I'll explain everything to Song myself.

You...

Lu Changkong.

Don't forget that

we made a pinky swear.

You can't die.

[Engagement Annulment]

[Engagement Annulment]
