[Love you seven times]

[Episode 5]

[Through My Door of Yearning]

It's just taking a book.

Why did you have to come so close?

I...

I have something to do.

I have to go.

I'll come and find you later.

Song Xiangyun, what were you thinking?

Young Miss.

Oh no.

Young Miss.

This is bad. This is really bad.

-What’s wrong? -No! No!

What should I do?

I'm doomed.

Doomed!

What's doomed?

No.

I must find a way.

[Zhejia Inn]

[Lu Mansion]

Young Master, are you having a heatstroke?

Tell me.

Xiangyun and I were so close just now.

Would she think I'm frivolous?

Frivolous?

How about...

How about

I visit her tomorrow

and apologize to her with a gift?

Do you think...

Young Master.

You worry too much.

I...

You...

Look.

A book?

Remember, this is the kind of book

Miss Song usually reads.

Through My Door of Yearning.

What you did

is nothing compared to this.

Young Master.

Lü He, you must get this book.

I need to study it carefully.

Yes, Young Miss.

[Through My Door of Yearning]

Through My Door of Yearning.

I didn't expect Miss Fairy

to be a talented lady who loves reading.

[Song Mansion]

If Lu Changkong

wasn't Chukong...

Marriage Pavilion?

Demolish it.

Calm down.

My life is at stake here.

I can't submit to beauty.

I have to calm down.

I must hold my fort.

Xiangyun.

How dare you!

How dare you take advantage of my memory loss during tribulation

and taint my innocence?

I'm innocent! I'm innocent!

You're seeking your death.

I'm innocent!

We have to break off the engagement.

We must break off the engagement.

We have to find the Princess Ying Shi as soon as possible.

Otherwise, when I go back to the Heaven Realm,

I will lose my life for sure.

[Song Mansion]

What happened to the task I gave you?

Where is Yingshi?

Haven't you found her?

I gave you so much money.

But you spent it all on leisure?

How dare you, Zihui.

You didn't pick up any good habits,

but learned all these useless things.

Forget it.

Execute the backup plan.

What backup plan?

The ultimate move.

[The ultimate move: One couple, two winners]

We'll find a new wife

[The ultimate move to break off the engagement: One couple, two winners]

for Lu Changkong.

[Lu Mansion]

Young Master, breakfast is served.

Young Master, you got up at midnight

just to read these love novels?

This is related to Xiangyun.

We must take it seriously.

You have no idea.

The more I study this book,

the more interesting it gets.

Lu Changkong.

Lu Changkong.

Handsome.

Xiangyun.

Xiangyun.

Lu Changkong,

were you studying the classical treatise in the study?

I...

Of course not.

Young Master was...

Of course.

I was studying the classical treatise.

Yes.

I need to talk to you. Come here.

Xiangyun.

You didn't sleep well last night?

It's all because of you.

Because...

Of me?

Forget it.

I'm here to ask you

what kind of girl you like.

You came here

just to ask me

what kind of girl I like?

Of course.

This is a big deal.

It's the most

important thing right now.

Go ahead.

Okay.

I like...

Wait.

What are you doing?

I'm afraid I might forget.

So I'm going to write it down.

Go on.

She is already

so considerate towards me.

Now she's concerned about my preferences too?

I like...

You...

You!

Don't you know that?

It doesn't matter if I know or not.

Just tell me what kind of girl you like.

Maybe by answering the question,

you'll find there are many possibilities in life.

In the future,

there will be many opportunities and choices.

Don't always think about the past.

Just say it.

It seems

I didn't give her enough sense of security.

That's why she couldn't sleep

and worried about loss and gain.

Do I say it now?

Of course.

You're a man, be brave.

Say it.

You idiot.

There's no one in my heart

except you.

The girl I like

has a perky nose,

a pair of kind eyes,

rosy lips,

and silky smooth hair.

Has a nose,

a pair of eyes,

and long hair.

Be more specific.

Any special traits?

She has a bright smile,

and a hearty laughter.

She makes you feel happy the moment you see her.

You must be tired from reading.

This

is yours.

-These are mine. -She’s loyal,

kind, and cute.

She appears carefree and clumsy.

But actually, she's very good at taking care of others.

I did it. It was all me.

It has nothing to do with Lu Changkong.

The daughter of a general

studying gunpowder at such a young age.

You're truly a role model

Kong should learn from.

Sister Xiangyun.

That's the kind of person she is.

She's warm, sweet, and cute.

If you're in danger,

she'll rush to stand in front of you.

Normally,

she likes to play tricks on people.

I know about that.

But as long as she's happy,

I am happy.

The person you like

may not be as good as you think.

Impossible.

If I go into details,

I can go on for days to no end.

That's enough.

We'll end it here.

I haven't finished yet.

Stop.

Tell me when the time comes.

What time?

You'll know then.

I have something to do.

I have to go.

Xiangyun.

Last night,

you were not the only one

who couldn't sleep.

You didn't sleep well either?

You had a dream too?

Yes.

Because

I thought of you.

I really have something to do.

I have to go.

Look, Miss.

The daughter of the Minister of Military Affairs,

Zhuang Bingwan.

She's gentle, polite,

and she likes poetry.

How about

the second daughter of Deputy Minister of Rites,

Fu Chenshuang?

She has practiced martial arts since young.

She's skilled at horse riding too.

Normally,

she likes to play tricks on people.

I know about that.

But as long as she's happy,

I'm happy.

And this,

-Xie Huilan, daughter of Marquis Wuwei. -I wonder

where he learned to

say that sweet nonsense.

Governor Ci's eldest daughter, Fan Xuehui.

She is a stunning beauty

who is good at qin, chess, calligraphy, and painting.

Actually, I know all about

your little tricks.

No, no.

I can't afford to offend the Eastern Sea.

I can't implicate the Marriage Pavilion either.

I'm just a fairy from the Marriage Pavilion.

Don't dream about it.

Wake up.

Forget it.

What do you mean forget it?

Miss...

I tried so hard

and went to great means

to get these pictures and information.

You didn't even look at them.

Please take a look

and pick one for Young Master Lu.

The second one down there.

We'll pick her.

Xie Huilan, daughter of Marquis Wuwei.

Are you sure?

Look.

She can do work, she can cook.

She can climb walls, she can win fights.

It's perfect.

Isn't this just another version of you?

What do you know?

I...

We'll pick her.

Well,

what should we do next?

One more.

How is the task

I asked you to do going?

Don’t worry, Young Master. It’s done.

Young Master, look.

Speaking of which, Young Master,

she sent me a reply

as soon as I sent her the letter.

Looks like Miss Song

was looking forward to it.

A beautiful day, with splendid scenery, and a dear companion.

With flowers in full bloom and a full moon, the wandering poet returns.

It's rare for us to be out.

Take Cui Bi with you

and have a good stroll.

To take a good stroll, you say?

For that,

I'll need...

Don't come back too early.

Okay.

Go.

I won't disturb you.

What a sudden surprise.

The ancient wooden block actually fell for it.

Now the time

and location are both right.

I just need the right person to complete the set.

Where is the beauty I ordered?

Where is the beauty I ordered?

Hurry up and take Miss Xie there.

Wait.

There are so many people here.

Are you sure

you can find Miss Xie Huilan?

Don't worry.

I've gathered all the information needed.

I even know

what clothes

and accessories

Miss Xie Huilan is wearing today.

And I’ve talked to

the maid of Xie’s Mansion.

The maid sent Miss Xie's reply.

She said if someone was willing to introduce them,

she would love to meet Young Master Lu.

I knew

you are popular with women.

Do you remember what I told you?

I'm a servant from the Lu Mansion.

Mr. Lu Changkong asked me to guide you there.

You're a good student.

Go.

Have you asked around?

Will he really be here?

I spent some silver

to get the exact information

from Young Master Lu's servant, Lu Fang.

So, he knows I'm back in the capital?

No.

Lu Fang just thought the information was

bought by one of Young Master Lu's admirers.

He didn't notice anything else.

That's good.

I want to see for myself

my cousin's expression when he first sees me.

He must be so surprised.

Help me take a look.

Is my makeup ok?

Many young masters and ladies

came to the lantern festival.

I heard

the young master of the Lu family

booked the entire Qiongfang Pavilion.

Is it for a lady?

I heard he was engaged to the daughter of the Song family.

It's probably for her.

What a perfect match.

Young Miss, maybe you don't have to wear it.

It's my fault. I, Xie Yingshi,

am just too beautiful.

If I just add a beauty mole to my looks,

my cousin will certainly love me.

My beauty mole!

What should I do?

It looks like a scar now.

Don't worry.

I'll get a basin of water.

A butterfly-and-flower hairpin,

and white pearl flowers.

Excuse me, are you Miss Xie?

What's the matter?

I'm a servant from Lu's Mansion.

Young Master Lu Changkong told me

to tell you that

he is waiting for you at Qiongfang Pavilion.

Wait.

What did you say?

Mr. Lu Changkong asked me to go there.

Of course.

Young Master Lu has long noticed you.

In fact,

he specially prepared a surprise

for you at Qiongfang Pavilion.

Specially prepared?

Looks like he still cares about me.

You go first.

I'll be right there

after some preparation.

Thank you.

You useless, clumsy bunch!

Is this how you do things?

If you hurt his Highness the third prince,

your death alone wouldn't be enough.

I'm so mad.

How is the task I assigned you going?

I found Miss Xie.

She's willing to go on a date with Young Master Lu.

Considering the time,

she should be with him by now.

Since ancient times,

the noble young masters and ladies

all used these tricks to date and fall in love.

Since he agreed to meet the dear companion,

it's time for us poets

to retire successfully.

Miss Xie Huilan!

Miss Xie Huilan!

Miss Xie Huilan. This way.

This name sounds familiar.

Exactly.

It's exactly the same as our candidate.

You are...

Miss Xie Huilan.

My young master invites you to...

A pink dress,

a butterfly-and-flower hairpin,

and white pearl flowers.

Why are they dressed the same?

Why are there two Miss Xie?

Oh no.

Who did you send over?

I...

This way, please.

Is it that one?

Why doe she

look so familiar?

I'll believe you one last time.

If anything goes wrong...

I won't make a mistake again.

Yingshi?

Miss Fairy?

Why do you call her Miss Fairy?

Is she the Yingshi you're looking for?

You did a good thing.

With her around,

the love tribulation can be resolved,

and the Nuwa Stone debt can be cleared too.

You have induced a good marriage.

But that's my love.

How dare you, Zihui.

How dare you use my money

to seek your own love?

Wait, wait. Don't.

Listen carefully.

Bear with it no matter what happens.

Do you hear me?

Miss.

Look over there.

You brat!

What are you doing?

I'm not ready yet.

What?

I mean

Young Master Lu is not ready yet.

Miss,

may I have a word with you?

Did they go upstairs?

If Zihui

messes up,

I'll teach him a lesson.

Xiangyun?

I...

Why are you here so early?

I came at a bad time.

I won't disturb your important business.

What important business?

Didn't you promise

to go to the lantern festival with me?

Didn't you agree to go with a dear companion?

I mean...

Today is the lantern festival.

The business naturally refers to admiring the lanterns.

Such beautiful scenery at a perfect time,

it must be shared with a dear companion.

Let me ask you.

What is considered a perfect time and beautiful scenery?

The beautiful scenery

refers to these lanterns

and the stars in the sky.

The perfect time is...

Now.

I'm doomed.

I dragged myself right into it.

Let me ask you again.

What is a dear companion?

A dear companion...

Is the person you like.

I'm already here

with the person I like.

how can it not be considered an important business?

Why should you leave?

I...

I'm not leaving.

I'm just a little nervous.

There are some words

I've waited a long time to tell you.

I drafted them over and over again

and finally mustered the courage to tell you.

So, I prepared these things.

Follow me.

Come.

I think

it's time.

Time for what?

This is...

This is what we look like since we were young.

We grew up together.

You.

You're lively

and full of tricks.

I've been a little dull since I was a kid.

I always followed you

and looked up to you,

hoping that one day,

I can be the person to stand by your side,

take care of you,

and protect you.

In the blink of an eye,

we're old enough to get married.

You said

there are many possibilities in life.

There will be many choices and opportunities in the future.

I've thought about it for a long time.

I had you in my past.

So in the future,

I wish to have you by my side too.

I wish to have your heart

and never be apart.

This is my feeling for you.

My wish in this life

is to have children with you

in the future.

By then, there will be more joy and liveliness

on the turning lantern.

Li, oh Li...

Don't go too far.

You even added kids to the scenario.

I...

I've said all the things I prepared.

Think about it

for an hour before you answer me.

You're right, I need to think about this carefully.

We have a whole hour.

There's no rush.

Let me think about it.

Don't look at me.

I'll get nervous.

Turn around.

As you wish.

Xiangyun.

I...

The situation in the court is unstable.

The marriage between the Lu and Song family

is a big deal.

I think,

we should fix our wedding date

after the court is stabilized.

What do you think?

I think it's great.

This is a big matter.

We must consider it carefully.

You're not the only one who's nervous.

I'm actually very nervous too.

I keep thinking,

if you don't like what I have prepared

and rejected me,

if you don't want to have a future with me,

what should I do?

I didn't expect

you to love me so much.

You even have our future planned out.

Xie...

Cousin!

Yingshi?

I...

Why are you here?

Didn't you ask me to come?

The one I invited is Xiangyun.

Cousin.

Xiang... Xiangyun.

She is my cousin.

I...

Come.

Cousin.

This is my fiancée, Xiangyun.

She's the daughter of the Song family.

Xiangyun?

Song Xiangyun?

Your marriage arrangement was just a casual promise

between Commander Song and Uncle when they were young.

It's not a legit engagement.

Cousin,

you don't have to force yourself to marry her

for Uncle's sake

and aggrieve yourself.

No one is aggrieved!

Don't spout nonsense.

My cousin and I are destined lovers.

Who... Who's your destined lover?

Xiangyun, don't listen to her.

Let me explain.

You don't need to explain. I understand.

If there is any misunderstanding between you two,

just make it clear.

No!

There is no misunderstanding.

No! I mean, this is a misunderstanding.

Listen to me.

You don't have to explain. I understand.

I didn't misunderstand.

I just don't want to intrude

on your bonding time anymore.

Xiangyun, if you are angry,

just scold me.

You don't have to say these things against your will.

I...

Let me explain.

What's there to explain to her?

I...

No!

I just...

And then you...

I...

I...

Xiangyun!

Xiangyun.

That annoying Xiangyun.

Why do he only care about her?

Cousin!

Miss Fairy!

Miss Fairy!

Miss Fairy!

Xiangyun!

Xiangyun.

Xiangyun.

Excuse me.

Cousin.

Xiangyun.

Miss Fairy!

Miss Fairy!

Xiangyun.

Your Highness, why are you here?

What are you guys doing?

We are...

playing hide-and-seek.

This...

Your Highness.

Why are you hurt?

It's nothing.

Cousin.

Cousin!

Miss Fairy.

All done.

It’s practical and pretty.

Your Highness.

What are you smiling at?

I think this injury was worth it.

In the palace,

no one has ever cared for me like this.

That's because

you saved Lu Changkong and me before.

I heard

you and Young General Lu

have been engaged since childhood.

That's true.

Then, why did you

avoid Young General Lu

like a plague just now?

Could it be that

you don't like Young General Lu?

Not really.

But my relationship with Lu Changkong is complicated.

I'm afraid of trouble.

So,

I want to avoid this bond.

You're right.

Considering the current state of the Lu family,

I also think

it's better not to

be too involved with the Lu family.

Hasn't it always been the case?

Military families are

always fighting and killing.

What's so good about them?

If there's nothing else,

I'll take my leave.

Xiangyun.

Thank you for your help today.

If you have any difficulties in the future,

remember,

you can always come to me.

Thank you, Your Highness.

Xiangyun.

Song Xiangyun.

Cousin has been bewitched by her.

Now, I'll teach you a lesson!

Lü He.

Go!

Go now.

Song Xiangyun!

How dare you offend Miss Yingshi?

Someone fell into the water!

Look over there!

Excuse me.

That looked like Young General Lu.

Xiangyun!

Look.

No! No!

Let go!

You might get hurt!

Move!

Cousin!

Young Miss!

Your Highness!

Did someone just jump in again?

Young Miss!

Miss Fairy!

-Miss! -I'll save you!

Your Highness, let's go back first.
