This feels like perishing.

Performing for an audience is an
emotional risk that can end in disaster.

But for those who are
willing to cast risk aside

and showcase their vulnerability on stage,

the possibility for transcendent joy awaits.

deceive myself about my feelings.

Sometimes I feel as unstable
as the structures I study.

and not making decisions for myself.

work before my own wants and needs.

It's funny how we are raised
for candor with other beings

but have difficulty being
honest with ourselves.
