- That's Mrs. Bradford's
case against the bakery.

If you remember, she claimed
they stole her recipe

for a chocolate cake.

but she can be pretty stubborn
in her own delicate little way.

- Yeah, I know.

Does she have any case at all?

Have you done some
research on it?

- Well, as much as I
can, but after all, there

aren't too many cases involving
this kind of situation.

- Wait a minute.

There was a case,
Sadillo versus somebody,

didn't that involve a
recipe for chocolate cake?

- Well, yeah, that was Sadillo
v. Miller, a New Jersey case.

It was a blueberry pie recipe.

- Yeah, that's the one.

Does that do us any good?

- No, I'm afraid not.

That was a case where this
wife got an old family

recipe from her
mother-in-law and claimed

that one of the main
ingredients had been purposely

and maliciously left out.

- Well, that just sounds to me
like a case of gamesmanship.

Who won?

- The husband.

He disappeared.

- Well, that's no help.

I wish you could
talk her out of this.

- Well, I thought maybe I'd
stop by her house this afternoon

and make one final attempt.

- That's a good idea.

At least, it can't do any harm.

- Well, we're scheduled

to get my hair done.

they're using my recipe?

- What makes you so sure
they stole her recipe?

- Well, according to her,
you can't tell the difference

between the two cakes.

One is hers and the other
one is from the bakery.

cake taster.

- I figured you'd
