So color grading allowed or a lookup table

is a preset of the settings you used
and saved on a clip.

Today, people use loads to color
grade their image by simply slapping

a stylized load on an image and calling it
quits.

Real color
grading is much more complex than that

and should be more

than slapping on a colored look,
but I don't recommend bothering with it.

When you apply a load,
you are always going to want

to tweak the color and the look further.

Never just slap on a load
and leave the color grading process there.

Not every load will apply

well to every clip, so you have to
make sure you dial in your load

with further enhancements
of your exposure levels, contrast

color, temp highlights, shadows,
midtown's, secondary colors, etc.

I've always colored my videos
and in return, viewers

have always asked me
about the color process,

so I decided to hop on the train
of exporting my various

color schemes and looks into loads
and selling them as well

so my followers could use my color grading
looks on their various film project.

with color. Correction.

why loads have become so widely popular.

When it comes to color correction,
there's just one question

you have to ask yourself

What style of color correction
would best serve for the story?

Ask yourself
the question and go from there.

If it's a moody, dark piece
that you should aim to cover,

grade your image the same way
the blacks desaturated the image.

Give it a little fade or film grain.

Create the dark mode with your color.

Don't fully saturate the image
and make it all warm and yellow as that

portrays happiness and worth.
