Gears and equipment.

What camera should you use
when filming a wedding?

Don't just buy the free camera, you see.

Study what? Camera is the best for you.

The minimum requirement for
you would be a camera.

That's shoot at least ten EDP and 60 SB
s or frames per second.

There are lots of cameras today which can

which can cater
to all your needs in filmmaking.

But if you need a basic and commonly
used camera in the wedding industry,

that would be the Sony
Alpha Mirrorless cameras.

When it comes to lenses, you can either
get prime lenses or zoom lenses.

The advantages of the Prime lens
is that the app is white,

which gives you a huge advantage
in low light settings.

The advantage of the zoom lens
is that it saves you time

so that you won't need to change lenses
when you want to change the focal length.

Nice equipment are the tripods.

Make sure to get a tripod
that is smooth when you turn it.

The stability is what's important
when choosing a tripod.

We use a we use the venue as four tripod,

which is not too heavy
and has smoother movement.

Next up are audio recorders,

The building mic of the camera
usually produce low quality audio,

so the best way to get great
audio are external audio recorders.

We use the Zoom H1 and the Zoom H4 and pro

and ceremony Blink 500,

placing these audio recordings
near the speakers and adjusting the pick

up level and capturing the best audio
you can use for your video.

These are two gears
that we are currently using now,

and it works best in every wedding
coverage that we will do in the future.

We have four cameras.

When I was deciding,
three cameras worked fine,

and the cameras that we have

right now is our one Sony A7, three

one A7, S2 and two Sony A6400.

And we also have four Tripods,
which are the Bengal S4,

not really
the best tripods out there, but works

fine with me
and is affordable for the audio equipment.

We have the Zoom H1 and affordable
audio recorder

and the Zoom H4 and PRO
can be a bit pricey for an audio recorder

but has greater quality
compared to the Zoom H1.

You can also attach an Excel or microphone
just like the road and digital.

These the mic that we are using right
now, having Zoom four

and plus the road and G2 in
one setup is just perfect.

You can also use this for filmmaking.

Just a batch in a boom
port and you're good to go.

You just need a long SLR cable.

And what we currently have
now is a 20 meter cable

tool.

Apple's harmonic bling way before
when I was starting.

I do not use any ltpo and just manually
sync the audio coming from the zoom.

Each one
because the bass are so expensive.

But when the ceremony introduced
the Blink 500, I immediately got it.

It's not that expensive.

And like the other in the past,
that costs around 30,000 plus,

but the blink 500 only costs me

8500 passes each.

I got it on sale
and the last time I checked, the brand new

price is ranging from 9000 to 12000
pieces, depending on where you buy it.

Another
another audio device that we are using

is the road video, micro microphone.

It is a cheap shotgun mic,

but the audio quality is great,
especially when you're using Sony cameras.

It also does not require any batteries.

It's just a plug and play microphone
for a mirrorless camera.

I use slide

stands to attach the audio equipment
facing the speakers and setting up

your audio recorders just like the zoom,
each one and each friend.

I normally set up the format in duly avi

or lav to have a great quality

when testing the audio levels
should be between 12 to 24 to avoid sound

distortion, especially when having audio

when the sound is too high.

Having multiple audio recorders and direct
to camera wireless recorders is better

because if one fails to record you to add
or flip memory card

and low battery,
the other is still recording.

Back ups are more essential

gimbal or camera stabilizer.

What we have is the DJI Ronin SE.

I am in no way sponsored by the DJI,
but how I wish though,

and yeah, I highly recommend
having this one as your camera stabilizer

because it is heavy duty

and the build is really in high quality.

I have been using this for two years
already and it never disappoints me,

even though its firmware is not updated
since I bought it last 2019.

It is a heavy

duty gimbal that is great for full frame
mirrorless cameras, especially

when you're using sigma lenses
which are heavy glasses

plus the Sigma 11 adapter.

I also attach a handle grip on each side

so that I could shoot at low angle easily

for the lenses.

These are the lenses that we use
in shooting already

versus the sigma 35 millimeter F 1.4.

I use this lens as our all around lens.

It's not that preferable
for solo portrait shots

because it can distort someone's face.

But for shooting post snap
this is a perfect lens

having both the bride
and groom in the frame.

If you are using a Sony A7 three,
this is I think the best all around lens

because with the Sony A7 three
in just one tap,

you can crop the 35 millimeter
and make it around 15 millimeter

without compromising the image quality.

It's just simply the zooms, the image.

So when you're shooting a moving subject,
just like the bridal entrance,

you can do two shot sizes in
just one camera and lens setup.

No need to change lenses.

The second lens of that

that I'm talking about
is the Canon 50 millimeters f 1.4.

This lens is actually affordable,
but definitely works

well with shooting bridal portraits

most of the time in every wedding
I only use the 50 millimeters

lens for bride portraits
and most snapshot shots

that are shot in handheld.

The third lens is the canon

100 millimeters f 2.8 macro lens.

This lens is the best lens that I have.

It is quite expensive, but so worth it.

This lens is used for our wedding
ring macro

shots, macro
or close up shots of the bride.

A portrait.

I also use this as a telephoto lens

that can shoot long range reactions.

During the ceremony
and the reception program

and its image quality is just so fine
and very sharp.

It also has a built in image
stabilization.

This is great advantage for a long range
focal length lens

because most of the long focal length
lenses are prone to shakiness.

Next one is the Canon 7200 as 2.8.

This lens is used by the main shooter

and the action shooter
that can shoot long range reactions

without having the subject notice
that they are being recorded.

This lens is very useful in the church

door opening for the bridal entrance

for all throughout the ceremony
and the reception program.

It is also great for tight establishing
shots.

The next lens is the canon

85 millimeters f 1.8.

This is a back up lance.

Use for reactions.

It is also great for portrait shots
because it does not distort the subject,

making them look slim in the video.

And I think this is the last lens.

The Samsung 14 millimeters f 2.8.

This is a wide lens
and it's not that expensive.

Having a wide
lenses is a great investment.

One wide lens will actually do the work.

Is great for shooting the reception.

Details of the venue and clients
usually want

wide shots of their reception
because they paid a lot for those details.

So it is best for you
to capture them in the video.

And that is

another equipment that I recommend for
you two for you guys.

Two to acquire is video
lights with light stance.

Having adequate light adds
a lot of factors and is another thing

to impress your clients
that you have video lights.

These are led.

These are the LCD.

We realize that I currently use
in shooting weddings

to game TV 55 by color al video light.

I am just so amazed by these lights
and just because it is lightweight,

it is also very compact
and just suits in this small box.

It also has a free now
that forces the light in one direction.

I use this light
during the bridal portrait

shot specifically for a concept like this

and also during

the ceremony, bridal entrance
and reception program, having a light

pointed at your subject
would be easier for you to color correct

and grade your footage
in the post process.

It also helps
in setting up your white balance

one, one or handheld light.

The brand is young.

No, you know, it has a good reputation

when it comes to video LCD lights.

I usually use this for ring shots
and small detail shots

of the wedding details
like invitation ins,

jewelries, Bible and etc.

It is just so flexible to use
since it is handheld.

It is also great
for sealing your subject's face

because the light coming from
this is already diffused.

So smooth shadows and blacks are expected.

These are the most common gears
or equipment

that you will use to shoot a wedding,
But for starters,

you can actually do a wedding film
with just at least one camera or two.

But that just depends on your clients
demands or what every year agreement is.
