All had been discovered strewn
around their isolated farm...

one documented case of attack
by wolves on a human being.

but the party had accomplished its end,

a long-awaited vacation...

He wasn't paying for the cruise,
of course. He had wangled it
as his own feature story,

was picking up the tab.
