All language subtitles for 6. How I Create Adjustment Layers

Hi everybody welcome back.

It is Brad again from Bradie to dot tv in this short video.

I'm going to show you how to create adjustment layers in Adobe Premiere proces CC 2019 for all you've

logger's out there.

I want to get straight into it right now.

And in no time you'll be able to do this yourself.

So on a go to just any sequence here and I've got two drone clips just like that and I want to apply

an adjustment layer across both of these clips.

How do I do it.

This is how Adobe Premiere Pro CC 20:19 click on new item down here.

Click on adjustment layer click OK.

You'll see that the adjustment layer will sharp in here.

All you need to do is click and drag it over to your timeline.

Expand it out across both clips.

I'm going to move the adjustment layer up to the next track just so you can see it much clearly.

And if you want you can just have the adjustable layer of a one clip or both.

I'm going to show you how to use it across both.

Now if I click on the adjustment layer all of the effects that I put into this adjustment layer.

And I think of an adjustment like a bucket.

I'm going to chuck everything.

All my effects on my awesome goodness is all going to go inside this adjustment.

Lay out if I wasn't using that adjustment layer I'd be throwing everything into the individual clips.

And that's just annoying because then if I want to make changes I'd have to go through each individual

clip and then go into its individual effects controls make the changes go to the next clip make the

changes.

It's just poor work flow.

It's going to slow me down.

And as a daily video blogger I just can't have that.

So on a click on adjustment layer and then you'll go up to effects controls up here.

Now if you don't see that click on the two arrows here it will be in your list here somewhere right

click on effects controls.

So everything inside this adjustment layer you'll see over here.

All right.

So we want to create.

So we want to add some effects to the adjustment layer which is going to apply to both of these clips

so think of it like this you just put everything underneath the adjustment layer is going to apply equally

to both of these clips.

So click on your adjustment first and then we're going to get two effects down here.

Right.

So you click on these two arrows here and then go down to effects and then we've got here all the different

effects that we can use You've probably played with this before and you're going to spend a lot of time

on it.

So I'm just going to grab something random like I don't know brightness and contrast right and then

I'm going to drop.

So when I click on that drag and drop it straight onto the adjustment layer like that.

And then if you grab hit back to top left hand corner of your screen you'll see that that effect has

dropped into your list here dropped down to the bottom right.

You don't see the scroll down.

And so this is inside my just but up.

So then all I need to do is I can just like change my brightness like this on my contrast and that's

applying to the adjustment layer which is then going to affect the brightness and contrast of both of

these two clips here.

Right.

So I'll move the play head there click on my adjustment layer I'll adjust my contrast like this.

You'll see the contrast is like completely ruined by that.

Right.

If I move my head back you'll see that the contrast is equally applied to both of these clips but it

only had to make the change once inside my adjustment layer.

Now if you don't want the adjustment layer cause you think you've completely ruined it then you can

just hit the eye here.

You can toggle this to turn the adjustment on or off like that or you can just click delete and start

over.
