Hi, welcome to the first episode of this illustration course. No matter if you completed my first

Become a 3D Illustrator course, this episode will guide you through some of these techniques

I explained there and basically it serves partly as a getting up to speed

episode and partly to round up a bunch of techniques and tips in Blender that I use in my everyday workflow and that I will

use in the next episodes as well.

So these might be some basic mesh modeling techniques and a lot of modifiers,

subdivisions, beveling, booleans and stuff like that and some of my workflow tips like reusing geometry and lighting tips.

But this won't be a pure modeling exercise because with every episode

I want to deliver a new style that you can use in your everyday workflow that you can use in your

illustrations or in your client work and even though this is very simple in the modeling sense

it can be used in a variety of the real-world projects. So you can see this is very colorful, playful with a toy-like feel

so it can deliver very positive emotion, but not only you can use this for some kind of a kid stuff

but at the same time for a whole bunch of designs where you really need to deliver positive emotions

so this can be like a meditation app or something like that.

So this will be very playful, very colorful, and I want to talk a little bit about how I mix

colors and lights in my scenes and stuff like that.

So again, take it as an exercise to get up to speed to some of the things that I do and

a guide to this colorful and playful stylized look.

So let's have a look around the scene that we are going to build right now and

as I said, there's basically no limit on what you can create. You can build entire worlds

just by using simple geometry like this and mixing it with beautiful lighting and colors.

So without further ado, let's get to it and let's jump into first chapter.
