And then all of a sudden, the lady who officiated the ceremony

sits down on the barstool next to me like... it's a done deal.

Hey, at least, you know, I'm-- You're taking over the lease of

this apartment 'cause I need a-- I need a cheaper crib.

Um, the landlord dropped this off, so I think all you gotta do

is sign. I--I thought you said this place

was gonna be great for you and Holly.

The apartment, it's--it's great. It's just the idea of me raising

Holly kind of hit a little snag.

>> Chloe: Hey, I just saw the news about Julie.

Is she okay? >> Sarah: Um, as of last night,

she hasn't regained consciousness.

>> Chloe: Oh, my gosh. Were you there when she fell

down the stairs? >> Sarah: Yeah, I was home, but

I've been staying in the guest wing, so I didn't hear anything.

And I left this morning before anyone was awake, so I don't

have any updates. >> Chloe: Oh, wow.

Well, Lord knows Julie and I have thought about every aspect

about co-owning this place, but I really care about her.

>> Sarah: Yeah, well, that's because you're a decent person.

Which is why I'm hoping that you will do the right thing when it

comes to Holly.

What's going on? >> Lani: We're here about Julie.

>> Eli: She's awake... and she told us everything.

>> Sonny: I said get out of my bed.

>> Leo: Is that any way to speak to your new husband?

>> Sonny: When I detest him, yes.

>> Leo: Ooh, so fiery first thing in the morning.

I love it! Wish I could have handled some

of that heat last night. I overdid it on the Champagne.

But I am ready to rise and shine.

So what do you say we consummate this union?

>> Sonny: I will never have sex with you.

>> Leo: Yeah, see, Uncle Victor said that this needs to look

like a real marriage. Otherwise Titan goes down and

you go to prison for attempted murder.

And, yes, of course I went off on her.

>> Gabi: No, we have our issues. Eli knows that--from the time

that we were dating. I would never want anything bad

to happen to Julie. I know that--that she's his

grandmother and I know that he cares about her.

>> Eli: Gabi, just stop. Like I said, Julie told

us everything. >> Gabi: What do you mean,

everything? >> Lani: The paternity results.

Julie saw them. Right before she took a header

down the stairs. >> Gabi: That was an accident.

>> Lani: Maybe. But what you did was on purpose.

Hiding the fact that Chad is the father of Abigail's baby,

not Stefan? You knew this whole time and

said nothing. >> Eli: How could you keep a

child from his own father? >> Gabi: What?

That--That's what Lani did to you and you forgave her.

No, listen, you cannot listen to Julie.

She's confused. >> Eli: I was telling my grandma

that you were a good person. Can't believe I ever cared

make sure she never hurts anyone again.

[distant voices] >> Arianna: Mommy?

>> Gabi: Arianna. >> Sonny: Hey, what are

you doing? >> Eli: Arresting her.

[screaming] [gasps] Ohh...

[heavy breathing]

>> Sarah: My mom told me that you have been a wonderful mother

to Parker. >> Chloe: Thanks.

She said she thinks I'll be a great mom to Holly as well.

>> Sarah: And I--I'm sure you would be if that were necessary.

But you have to respect what Nicole wanted,

which was to have her daughter raised by the man she loved.

>> Chloe: I have legal documentation that

states otherwise. >> Sarah: Nicole wrote that

letter months ago when she thought that she would never see

Eric again. But they reunited, and they

were planning a life together. And in her final moments, Nicole

told Eric that she wanted him to raise Holly.

>> Chloe: [scoffs] Nicole said that during a time

of extreme distress. According to Brady, who was

there, she said it to get Eric out of the burning building.

She was trying to save his life. >> Sarah: Bottom line, you'd

have zero problem with him raising Holly if you had not

gotten that letter. >> Chloe: Yeah, but I got

that letter. And Nicole made her wishes very

clear, and I intend on honoring them.

>> Sarah: Given the way that Nicole felt about Eric at the

time of her death and the way that he loves that little girl,

you really believe that you should be the one to raise her?

>> Chloe: Yes, I do. With all my heart.

And, I'm sorry, with all due respect, how is any of this

your business?

>> Will: [sighs] Wow, yeah.

If Chloe carried Holly, there--I mean, there obviously must be a

bond there. >> Eric: Yeah, there is.

You know, I mean.... If I didn't know what I knew

now, it would make perfect sense for Chloe to raise Holly with

her brother Parker. >> Will: Well, what do you know?

>> Eric: Right before Nicole died, her last dying wish was

for me to raise Holly. I wasn't sure if I could handle

it, but I don't want anything more.

>> Will: Yeah, I get that. Um, of all the memories that

came back to me, the--the most significant one was the first

time I held Arianna in my arms. It was incredible.

You know, and being part of creating a life.

>> Eric: I know I may not be related to Holly by blood, but

she's the closest thing I have to the woman I love.

I believe Nicole's last dying wish counts a hell of a lot more

than a damn piece of paper.

>> Tripp: Uh, here, Claire. Why don't you start eating?

I'll get started on a burrito for Ciara.

>> Ciara: No, thanks. I only have time for

coffee anyway. >> Tripp: You heading to work?

>> Ciara: Yeah, and, uh, I wanted to do some Christmas

shopping before my shift starts. >> Claire: Are you, uh--Are you

hitting the stores solo or with Ben?

>> Ciara: Solo. It's easier to buy a gift for

someone when they're not with you.

>> Tripp: Um, yeah, I'm gonna go take a shower.

[clears throat]

>> Claire: Wow, Ciara. It's really not nice to talk

about getting a present for Ben in front of Tripp.

>> Ciara: You were the one who asked me if I was shopping with

him, and you did it on purpose, Claire.

>> Ciara: Oh, get over yourself. Tripp doesn't care what you do.

He's not pining for you anymore. >> Ciara: How could he when

you're all over him 24/7? >> Claire: Come on, what do

I heard you screaming from all the way down the hall.

Wh--What was it about? >> Gabi: I lost Arianna.

>> Sonny: Gabi. You were--You were probably just

remembering prison, okay? But that's--that's in the past.

You will never be separated from Ari ever again.

>> Gabi: You can't be so sure of that.

>> Sonny: I am sure. All right, you never should have

been locked up for a crime that Abigail committed in the

first place. But look at me.

That is over. You're home.

And we are about to have a wonderful Christmas with

our daughter. >> Gabi: [whispers] Yeah.

Well, I'm--I'm sorry. I'm just--It was really scary.

I feel like I'm still shaking. >> Sonny: Maybe you just need

some food. Come on.

I'll get Ari and then we can all have breakfast together.

>> Eli: Come on, Grandma.

>> Lani: How is she? >> Eli: She's still unconscious.

>> Lani: Any timetable when she might wake up?

>> Eli: Doug was by her side all last night.

He didn't wanna leave. Hope and Rafe had to drag him

out to get some rest. >> Lani: He needs to stay strong

for her. How are you doing?

>> Eli: I wanna do something. I called my mom to see if there

was any medical advice she can give me, but she said that she

was sure that Kayla and her team were doing everything

they could.

[monitors beeping] What does that mean?

>> Lani: I don't know. Maybe she's coming to.

I'll go find a nurse. >> Eli: Come on,

Grandma, please. Wake up.

>> Claire: Tripp, is Grandma Julie gonna be okay?

>> Tripp: I dunno. I dunno, Hope was busy with her dad, so

she asked Kayla to call. >> Ciara: I'm gonna go to

the hospital. See you guys later.

>> Claire: Uh, uh, did--did Kayla say what happened?

>> Tripp: Apparently Julie fell down the steps at the

Kiriakis house. And she's still unconscious.

>> Claire: Oh, my God. Um, okay, I--I need to go

see her. >> Tripp: Get dressed.

I'll drive. >> Claire: Okay.

>> Sarah: I don't mean to interfere, but Eric and I are

becoming friends, and I know how much losing Nicole crushed him.

>> Chloe: And I feel for Eric. I really do.

But Holly's a child. She's not some project to help

Eric get over his grief. >> Sarah: And she's not some

substitute for Lucas. >> Chloe: Excuse me?

>> Sarah: I'm just saying he's gone, and you might be trying to

fill some sort of hole. >> Chloe: Oh, wow.

Okay, well, I never asked for any of this.

>> Sarah: Yeah, well, Eric did. He was planning a life with

Nicole and Holly, and he can't have that.

But he can have this if you would just do the right thing

and step aside. >> Chloe: I know how much Eric

cares for Holly. But you have no idea how much I

love her. I carried her for nine months.

I almost died giving birth to her.

And it tore me apart to have to give her back.

But I recognized that she was Nicole's biological daughter.

>> Sarah: That's a really nice story.

I mean, you skipped a few parts, but it's a nice story.

>> Chloe: What are you talking about?

>> Sarah: Well, according to my mom, you got yourself knocked up

and you didn't even bother to tell Nicole that the baby was

hers until you got busted. >> Chloe: That is not true.

And everything I did was to protect Holly.

>> Sarah: And who were you protecting when you slept with

Philip behind Daniel's back? Look, I'm sorry that I

went there. But you're sitting here acting

like you're some paragon of morality when the truth is after

the things that you've pulled, a decent man like Eric would be

a far better influence on Holly than you ever could be.

>> Eric: I, uh--I'll take this to the landlord.

>> Will: Okay, thank you. And...and good luck

with Holly. >> Eric: You need anything?

I mean, I got a great hangover cure, man.

>> Will: Oh. >> Eric: It's nasty, but

it works. >> Will: Uh, I'll--I'll be okay.

>> Eric: Okay, want me to... What you gonna do about Sonny?

>> Will: I dunno. I--Honestly I can't stand that

they're married. But if Sonny didn't do it, he

would have--his life would have been destroyed and Titan would

have been destroyed. >> Will: Yeah, but Leo can't

force you not to see Sonny. >> Will: Yeah, but Victor can.

Apparently Leo is--is such a threat that Victor commanded

Sonny not to see me and he told him to act like the marriage

is real. >> Eric: Whoa, wait.

He wants to make sure that L--Sonny, Leo--

>> Will: Yeah. >> Eric: You know what?

I knew Victor, he was a bastard. But really?

>> Will: Well, I don't--Yeah, I don't think Sonny will go that

far with it. At least, I--I hope he won't.

But, I don't know. The fact remains that I can't

see him. >> Eric: I'm sorry.

>> Will: Yeah, me, too. Kinda makes it hard to get in

the Christmas spirit.

>> Sonny: Gabi and I are having a family breakfast with

our daughter. So get lost.

>> Leo: I'm family, too. I think I'll join you.

>> Sonny: No, I don't want you anywhere near my daughter.

>> Leo: Okay, Mr. Grinch. Well, since I'm not welcome

here, maybe I'll do a little Christmas shopping.

in 'cause I'm more convinced now than ever that Holly belongs

right size for my husband? I'm worried they might be a

little small. >> Will: Yeah, Sonny's never

gonna wear those. >> Leo: Even better.

>> Will: You can buy him all the gifts you want.

Sonny still wants nothing to do with you.

>> Leo: Really? Then why was I in his bed

this morning?

>> Gabi: So what exactly is Julie's prognosis?

>> Eli: Kayla said she should recover but there are

no certainties. She could wake up any minute...

or not at all. >> Lani: I can handle this.

>> Eli: No, no. I'm good.

We're gonna get your official statement on what happened when

my gr--when Julie fell down the stairs.

>> Gabi: Okay, well, um, as you may know, Julie isn't one of my

biggest fans. And, uh, she bought into this

crazy idea that I--I was trying to make Abigail look crazy when

she's not. >> Eli: We heard Stefan had

Abigail released from Bayview. >> Gabi: No.

No, he had her alter Gabby released.

She's in complete control now, and it--it really is showing how

completely nuts Abigail really is.

But you know, before she was committed, she was telling

everybody that I was trying to frame her.

No one would believe her. Not her mom or JJ.

Even Chad. >> Lani: But she

convinced Julie? >> Gabi: Julie hates me.

So she went to find some evidence to back up

Abigail's story. >> Lani: And what makes you

think that? >> Gabi: She was in my room

looking through my things. >> Eli: What'd you do?

>> Gabi: I told her to leave. >> Eli: And she just walked out?

>> Gabi: Yes. >> Eli: I'm sorry.

But that doesn't even sound like my grandma.

>> Sarah: I didn't mean to get into it with Chloe.

I just--I thought that if I talked to her one-on-one,

I could persuade her to do the right thing.

Then she got on her high horse, and I kind of knocked her off of

it a bit by bringing up the uglier parts of her past.

>> Eric: Mmm. >> Sarah: Are you angry?

>> Eric: No, no. I mean, I know you're trying

to help. Maybe you should just kinda back

off a little bit 'cause if this thing escalates, Chloe--I mean,

she could cut off all access to Parker.

And besides, I mean, you're-- you're, um, you know, going back

to Chicago.

>> Sarah: I was. Until Rex called and told me

that he is moving Mimi and the baby there.

>> Eric: Are you serious? That is cold.

>> Sarah: It actually all worked out.

I was with Kayla when he called, and she saw how upset I was

and... offered me a job here at

University Hospital. >> Eric: And?

Well, did--did you take it? >> Sarah: Yep.

>> Eric: [laughs] >> Sarah: I'm staying in Salem!

[laughs] [monitors beeping]

>> Ciara: I've been thinking a lot about what you said the

other day. About me seeing Ben.

You were not happy, to say the least.

And, boy, did you let me know it.

Some people are afraid to speak their minds.

But not you. You never hold back, Grandma.

And I know that it's because you love me.

And you only want what's best for me and everyone else that

you care about.

>> Claire: You've called me out on my behavior more times than I

can count. It is not always fun.

gonna find anything. She didn't wanna leave my room,

so I ordered her out. She must have slipped and fallen

down the stairs. >> Eli: You didn't see

it happen? >> Gabi: No.

>> Eli: Thanks for your statement.

>> Gabi: Yeah, listen, I know this was, um, an accident, but

I--I do feel terrible. So if anything changes, please

let me know. >> Eli: Will do.

for pancakes. >> Gabi: Hi!

Yeah, and guess what? You can have as many pancakes as

you want. 'Cause you know what?

Tonight is Christmas Eve. Are you ready for Santa Claus

to come? Good.

He's probably gonna get you everything that you wanted from

that list that we made and sent to the North Pole.

Um, well actually, Ari asked me to help her write a new list.

>> Gabi: Oh, how come? Did you miss something from

your list? >> Arianna: I don't need

any presents. >> Gabi: What--This is the new

one? Okay, um, "I changed my mind

about the doll I asked for. And--And the clothes and the

bike, too. I just want my mommy not to go

away anymore."

Baby girl. That--No more going away, okay?

That's never gonna happen ever again.

>> Will: Sonny would never sleep with you.

>> Leo: He doesn't have a choice.

Now, I didn't catch every word because I was eavesdropping, but

the gist is that Victor told Sonny he has to keep me happy

in every way. Otherwise Titan goes down, and

Sonny goes to Statesville. >> Will: You're not gonna get

away with this. Sonny and I are gonna

be together. >> Leo: I get why you're so

into him. You know, when I was first asked

to seduce him, I was a little reluctant.

But once I got to experience everything that Sonny has to

offer, I was all in. So was Sonny.

Which is why it was so great to pick up this morning where we

left off. [thud]

>> Sonny: You have to go help Maggie finish decorating the

cookies so you can put them out for Santa tonight.

>> Gabi: Hey, you know that Mommy loves you very much and I

only went away because I had no choice.

>> Abigail: I know, Mommy.

>> Sonny: It was just a dream, Gabi.

>> Gabi: My daughter's so scared that I'm gonna disappear again.

She gave up all her gifts. >> Sonny: But she--she did that

to show you that she loves you more than anything.

Considering where you two were not--not too long ago,

I mean, that should make you feel really good.

>> Gabi: No, it does. It does.

It's just... she's so amazing.

Sonny, I don't wanna hurt her ever again.

>> Sonny: You won't. Okay, and I'm gonna go help her

with the cookies. Do you--Do you wanna join us?

>> Gabi: Uh... You know what?

Maybe later. Actually, uh, I have this one

gift I need to take care of. >> Sonny: Okay.

I'm gonna make sure Arianna gets the one thing that she

asked for.

♪ ♪ [monitors beeping]

>> Ciara: You know, it's entirely possible she did this

on purpose just to get us to stop fighting.

>> Claire: That would be so Grandma Julie.

>> Ciara: Yeah. >> Claire: Like, I'm sorry for

being mean to you earlier. >> Ciara: Me, too.

Instead of going at each other we should be praying

for Grandma.

Julie get better. >> Ciara: We promise to be

kinder to each other and others if you just please bring her

back to us.

>> Eric: [laughs] You're staying.

That, uh...that's fantastic. >> Sarah: Well, you, you know,

planted the seed after I told you that going back to Chicago

is pretty unappealing, and now it's supremely unappealing.

And if I stay here, I--I get to do the work that I love and I

get to be with my mom. >> Eric: Maggie must

be thrilled. >> Sarah: Well, I haven't told

her yet. But, yeah, I'm so excited.

>> Eric: Come on! >> Sarah: I mean, Salem's

my home. And I feel like I can do some

good work here. And not just at the hospital,

I-- I know it wasn't the brightest

idea tangling with Chloe, but I really do wanna help you

with Holly. >> Eric: I'd like that.

>> Sarah: So, uh, since the custody is up in the air, I'm

assuming you passed on this place?

>> Eric: Nope. I signed the lease.

Listen, I know Chloe. She has intentions to come after

me and has Maggie in their corner--but listen, I have

no intention of backing out.

>> Sarah: This place, it really is perfect.

You know, maybe... maybe if we bring my mom here

with Holly, she'd reconsider.

>> Eric: You know what, I like the way you're thinking.

So why don't you and I go get Holly and bring her to her new

home?

>> Leo: That wasn't very smart, Will.

But I guess when you're serving your sentence for attempted

murder, they can just tack on some extra time for assault.

>> Will: You may be in control now, but that won't last.

>> Leo: This is your final warning: Do not be a home

wrecker...or you and Sonny will both suffer.

>> Leo: Hmm. Will got a little miffed when I told him about our

morning delight. He punched me!

Here's the deal. Either Will backs off, or I file

assault charges, and he spends Christmas in jail.
