Former U.S. Army Green Beret Ranger
David Bramlett, who commanded a unit

of the Ukrainian Foreign Legion
for 10 months, gave an interview.

Here are some quotes from there
that I'd like to share with you:

"This is probably the most righteous
war my generation will see.

In my opinion, it's a
confrontation of good and evil.

- My worst day in Iraq or Afghanistan, the
worst possible day when we felt things were

completely out of control, doesn't
even compare to a typical day here.

- Before the HIMARS came in last year, we
were under constant artillery and mortar

fire from the Russians, and mostly at close range.

Within a month of the HIMARS, the number
of artillery attacks on us was cut in half.

- I would say that Ukrainians are bloody
effective. Take the Kraken unit, for example.

Worked with them in the spring 2022 - not
superprofessional at the time, but effective.

And that's the main thing. And I am sure that
these guys became more experienced over time. The

Ukrainians are so effective on the battlefield
because they are very motivated: their level

of acceptable risk is much higher. Under the
circumstances, that's the way it should be.

- I can only speak from my own experience, but
from what I have seen, Russian soldiers are

completely incompetent. We still overestimate
the capabilities of the Russian army,

especially in the West. If you look at
the dynamics of the Russian armed forces,

it is flat, or downward - because
they are taking so many casualties,

and have destroyed all their professional
cadres who should be training soldiers.

- It is in Ukraine's interest to wait
for the perfect moment to attack.

I believe that this waiting is evidence of
high professionalism. The Ukrainian General

Staff or Valerii Zaluzhnyi or whoever is in
charge of it is pretty good at what they do.

- That said, no masterstroke by the
Ukrainian General Staff or Zaluzhnyi

"at once" will win this war. It will be won
by Ukrainian infantrymen with Kalashnikovs,

fighting in the fields, storming fortified
Russian positions. If we can do everything

in our power to increase the survivability
of these guys, this war will end much faster.

The Russian army has a lot of rank and file units,
but it also has elite units, the most experienced

guys who are involved in training others. And
so these cadres, these experienced guys were

also sent to the front, actually into the meat
grinder. The Russians lost not only their most

experienced combat units, but also the people
who are supposed to train the new combat units.

- The Russians should be evaluated in retrospect:
look at what they did to Transnistria, Chechnya,

Georgia, and then the Crimea and Donbass of 2014,
the MH17 shoot down, the Polonium and Novichok

poisonings, the Czech ammunition depots blown
up... I compare the Russians to a rabid dog."

In contrast to the words of the U.S. Ranger,

the Wall Street Journal published a piece
with the narrative that at the rate it is now,

it will take the Ukrainian army 16 years
to liberate Russian-occupied territories.

We will leave on the conscience of the
authors of this material the figure,

which they obviously took from the ceiling.
I also understand the fact that sitting in

an air-conditioned office with a Starbucks
coffee, it is not difficult to speculate

about the pace of the offensive. On the
front lines, it looks a little different.

The other day there was a video of the Ukrainian
military traversing a minefield, a lot of people

and equipment being undermined. It is horrible
- there is literally nowhere to put one's foot.

The density of mining is off the charts,
it is almost impossible to move. But these

"experts" do not have enough action,
the pace is too slow for them...

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are
moving in accordance with the

plan of the Ukrainian General Staff,
looking for a future breakthrough.

To rush them in such a situation is to provoke
heavy losses. I am fed up with these "experts".
