decided to do a girls' hangout.

one improvement

I'm trying to make
in my life right now is

my sleeping schedule
is really, really bad.

I was up at like 4:00
in the morning last night.

I need to, like, not do that

'cause it just drains my energy
throughout the day.

One improvement that I'm trying
to make in my life

is not letting other people
get into my head

and not letting other people
make decisions for me,

especially coming into a new
American high school.

I felt as though I had
to conform

and kind of follow what
everyone else was doing.

It was just a way for me
to fit in pretty much.

And actually, one example
was freshman year

in my like new, brand-new friend
group that I had just met,

we were all in a car and they
were passing around a vape.

They like passed it to me
and I was like, "Oh, I'm good."

They were like,
"If you don't hit this,

we're kicking you out the car,

we're not gonna be
friends with you anymore."

So prime example
of peer pressure.

I'm really opening up
about my past life

and how I was an ex-vaper.

I really wanted to get through
to everyone because

it was really important for me
to tell my story

and have not anyone
feel that way.

So I would definitely say
it did play a kind of big role

in my whole mental health
battles

and issues throughout
high school.

And so, yeah, just love you
and love yourself

and don't let anyone make
any decisions for you, so...

Do you think you started vaping
to, like, make you feel better

and it, like, just started
making you feel worse?

Or, like, how was that for you?

It was kind of like
an instant gratification.

In the moment, I was like,
"Wow, I'm really fitting in."

"Wow. This kind of tastes like
fruity. Like, wow, so cool."

But in the end of the day,
it was so detrimental.

Like the instant gratification
was not worth what it entailed.

Do not recommend.

Yeah, I know what you mean
by that.

I feel as though Lexi
really appreciates

actually me opening up.

I feel like she can maybe
a little bit relate

to what I'm talking about.

Talk about a time you have
fallen in love

with the wrong person.

It was high school
and there was this guy I knew

who went to a different school
and he had a girlfriend

who went to my school
and they ended up breaking up.

And so, like, I was there
to comfort her

just because we had
the same class together.

developing feelings for her

and she would help me with like
my social media videos.

And apparently the whole time
we were doing that,

she was talking to my friend.

And so like, I figured it out
and it was--

I was just really hurt
in the moment.

But I still wanted to keep
going back to her

just because we had developed
that connection so much.

And it was just very harmful
to myself and my confidence.
