- So... - Nice new camera there, buddy.
I know, well...
- It work? - Get what you can, yeah.
What do you want?
Are you really filming right now?
Yeah.
- Perfect. - Of course I am.
Always filming.
Hey, Dan.
- Hey, Dan. - Yeah?
I also got microphones.
- Did you really? - Yeah.
- New microphones? - Some new lavs.
Look, I just want to try to get this
to see how it works together, if it works together.
So, you should put...
You should put a lav on.
You want a whiskey?
Give me a sec, brother.
How you doing, man?
Hey, what's up?
Pretty good.
Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan...
I think... I think you should put this on.
Just... It's... I'm not...
We're never gonna use this, I just wanna...
Clip that to your shirt, and put it on.
Check, test, one, two.
Explain to me how mic-ing someone up is going to
work in a documentary.
It's so you can hear them.
So what's been going on?
You know, it's really busy at work.
Well, look what the cat dragged in.
Hi, sweetie.
And ugly.
Good to see you, babe.
- Good to see you. - Thanks.
So what's for din din tonight?
I mean, what would you expect in the afternoon?
No, I just finished work so I thought I'd come by.
Cool.
How was work today?
- What? - It's not break time yet.
Do you see somebody I can be helping right now?
There's a couple people back here, they got drinks?
Looks like they do, but you know what?
I'll go check on it, okay?
Can you see the microphone?
Can you hear me now?
Well, I can hear you because I'm
standing a foot away from you.
Can you hear me now?
I could still hear you.
Why do you like Dan?
- Do you love Dan? - You can't film this.
Is Dan the best?
He's the best in the whole world.
Ever.
He's so amazing and wonderful.
Are you talking about your other boyfriend?
Yeah.
Are you directing me now?
I am, I want you to get closer.
- Is this closer? - Hey, what's up?
- As I climb over the bar. - Is this better?
- Is this closer? - Yeah, that's really natural.
How does this work for you?
Does this look natural?
- Natural. - Is it? Is this...
Now pretend you love each other.
That's gonna take a lot of pretending for her to do.
Yes.
I know, he was asking me tough questions.
Joel we might actually have to kill someone.
Why?
Because I can't have competition.
- I enjoy it all to myself. - Yeah?
Dude, I can't, I can't.
What? What can't you do?
I'm not gonna annoy every patron.
He won't even know, you can just act like you're...
Act like you're wiping down the bar.
You can do it.
And you just point these things here, right here.
Turn the camera off, and I got
you working tomorrow, too.
Tomorrow?
Yeah.
You said, I asked for, I asked
for that two weeks ago off.
Deal with it.
You guys still doing alright over here?
I actually need a couple of drinks.
Yeah, definitely.
Hi, I need another Zinfandel.
Okay.
Yeah.
Thanks.
Yeah, so I think you should meet my mother.
Okay.
- Sorry. - Is she here?
No, my mom doesn't drink.
Okay.
But she's probably at church right now.
The one asked if she wanted to meet his mother.
It doesn't matter, bottom line is, we are not
shooting here at the bar today.
I don't do as much drugs anymore.
That's probably a good thing.
It is a good thing.
My psychiatrist told me that if I was ever
going to have a relationship with anyone
I needed to be able to
hear the inner me and if I'm always I'm doped up
or doing drugs then...
Are you seriously gonna just like...
Dude, I'm...
Yeah... No, just tell your story.
- No, it's great. - Thank you!
You wanna become Facebook friends?
You know if you can find me on there then
I might consider your friendship request.
Okay... He doesn't care. He doesn't care.
Dude.
Yeah, I'm just, I'm just...
I'm just capturing life as it happens.
- So you are filming me. - Yeah.
- Dude, that's not... - Right now I am, yeah.
Dude, that's not cool, man.
That's alright, I'm just filming.
Dude, what if I called my lawyer and
I got him on the phone.
And I'm all like... and I sued your ass.
Would you, would you be okay with that?
Do you have enough money to just...
I'm just filming, it's alright.
Yeah, it's just alright.
And it's just okay that I
guess I can just, you know...
be alright if I fucking kick
your ass, is that what you want?
- I'm just filming. - Dude, I'll come over there...
and I will smack that camera out of your face.
I'm just filming.
And I will beat your ass.
- There's nothing... - Do you...
Don't fuck with me, man.
Is that what you want?
- Joel! - What?
I'm just filming.
There's nothing wrong with this.
Can you hear that?
He's just playing with it.
Yeah, but I told him to turn it off.
Okay, and he turned it off!
You got it set up, that was fine.
So then when I come back in and
I tell him it turn it off...
- No, he's still going. - It was off. No, it was off!
No, it was not on because I saw you guys talking
into the camera.
People don't wanna come in here
when that's shit's going on.
I know, I know.
Look, they don't want to be on camera.
They don't want to be filmed.
Alright.
They come here to relax and have a good time.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
And you're being a dickhead about it,
and you're mouthing off to me.
K? You're treading on thin ice, and it's fine.
Jim still pays money, he's a patron.
K? So if you're pissing him off, you're pissing off
other people, they're not gonna come in here,
it's bad for business.
Just do your job, alright?
What are you still filming?
Yeah.
I told you to turn that thing off.
I'm sorry.
If I see that camera in this bar again,
you are not allowed back in here.
- Alright. - Okay?
Okay man, whatever.
What the hell?
What?
Did he tell you to turn the camera off?
No, I don't remember him saying that.
Joel, did he turn you to tell...
Did he tell you to turn the camera off?
- Whatever, I don't care. - This...
Dude, I'm gonna lose my job because of this.
You know, money, money, something that you don't
have because you're doing this stupid documentary.
Joel, I'm not kidding turn that thing off.
- What? - Is that...
- I'm trying to make... - Turn it off!
Joel, I'm gonna talk to this woman?
My gosh.
"Next stop, 90th South. "
Do you know where to look?
He doesn't have a face?
Do you know what he looks like?
I just wanna...
"An amber alert has been issued for a sister and
brother, ages 7 and 9 who haven't been seen since... "
How was your Thanksgiving?
Nice, how was yours?
It was fattening.
- Really? - Well... Fattening is good.
Yeah.
A large something with caffeine.
I left my zoom lens at home so I've only got the 50,
but it does so well in low light.
- Does it? - Yeah.
I should be in bed, warm, with my girlfriend,
and not freezing my ass off.
See how it likes having a lens
shoved right in his face.
It was in the car.
That is good.
It is good, maybe we can hear us.
I've been meaning to ask you, did you get fired?
I, obviously didn't get fired, but it was...
I know you didn't get fired,
I was being "face-tious. "
I do still want to make the
movie, and as I said earlier,
that is why I'm here at 3 o'clock in the morning
after busting my ass all night at work.
Yeah.
I want to see a documentary about excitement,
car chases, robberies.
Do you know anyone who's planning on robbing a bank?
Not off the top of my head, but...
What movies are easy to make
when you don't have any money?
Yeah.
I don't want to do something easy, I want to
do something that shows what we can do as a...
Yeah, unless you have...
You're not gonna be very good at this if you don't
point the sound at me.
Really?
Well you are just an editor.
That is true.
I think, I think our best bet, our safest bet,
not safest, our sure thing is
if we find the right subject.
We've gotta find something real that people don't
believe is real.
I know, but I, I just think we've gotta do something
no one's seen before.
I agree.
Well right now we're making a documentary
about making a documentary.
You think that will put asses in seats?
No.
You know in some cultures, they believe that if you
put them on camera, you actually do steal their soul.
What's your though on...
Are you stealing my soul right now?
I don't know.
We'll just have to make sure the hobo
doesn't run by and steal it.
We need a different job.
One that lets us do stuff during the day.
I know.
I don't know.
I'm just tired.
I'm just tired of busting my ass and not feeling
like I'm getting anywhere.
God, it's been the past ten years of my life.
Yeah.
I have things I wanna offer your sister.
Why do I have to...
No, she's not anything like me.
She doesn't care.
Your sister's a saint is what your sister is.
Yeah, so she's nothing like me.
No, absolutely.
I wouldn't say I'm jaded.
I'd just say I stopped caring.
So what does a human being do
when they just stop caring?
They make movies.
But seriously, what if that was it?
Something like that...
What if we took someone's, someone's life and just
pulled the rug out from under them and filmed it.
So basically you wanna take somebody's
convictions and beliefs and that they believe in
and think are true and then basically say it's
just a big facet.
Yeah, who wouldn't watch that?
I know you and I joke around you not having a soul,
but sometimes I seriously question it.
It's... It's not...
And even, whatever you do believe in, do you want...
Do you wanna be proven that that's wrong?
I would love to be proven that I
was wrong if it was eventful.
If it put butts in seats?
Exactly.
You wanna know what I believe in?
Alright.
We'll come up with something.
Yeah.
He just... He! He! He! He! He!
Who?
Have you talked to the police yet?
Five years?
He's... He's not very... He's not...
That would send somebody a little over the edge.
I'm not over the edge.
I didn't say you were!
I didn't say you were.
I said you have a reason to be distraught.
Why do you have to keep pestering me?
Ma'am, I don't want pester you.
Like I said, I just wanna tell your story.
I don't wanna tell my story.
Please! Ma'am.
Ma'am.
- Ma'am. - What?
Listen.
You know what? Fine!
You'll, you'll tell your story to me?
- Fine. - Okay.
Just leave me alone.
- Joel. - Hey.
- What's up, man? - Sup?
I found our documentary.
- Yeah? - Yeah, no, I'm not joking.
This is gonna be perfect.
Just hit play.
Yeah.
That's what I thought at first.
You know?
And so I was like, this could work, you know, like...
I mean, obviously, as we talked
about the other night, you know.
It's suspense, it's crime, all that stuff.
So that's where I thought she was sane, you know?
I wanna tell her story for one of two reasons.
Okay, let's just say she is just completely nuts.
You know, like, I mean it's...
She's interesting.
- Yeah. - But...
And nuts is good, I mean that's...
Nuts totally works, but on the flipside, too...
What if somebody really did kidnap her children
and we could either help her find them or,
you know, tell a story, to like...
You know, heaven forbid it happens to somebody else.
With tentacles for arms took her kids?
Apparently, but...
And she's dead set, like believes this.
You should've seen! I mean obviously...
This wasn't something for attention?
No, no, no!
I mean, and when, you know, obviously from the video,
she was extremely distraught.
You know, at first, I did.
I just thought she was just
some crazy lady on the train.
I mean, plenty of them get on, you know?
But just there was something about her that
you could just tell that she
really truly believed this.
Let's do it. As soon as possible.
I mean, because if she truly
believes that a dude, a tall,
skinny dude with tentacles for arms took her kids?
I want to get her story on camera whether that's...
I think we have something here.
I think she's legit.
Like whether she believes this, this apparition took
her children or whether her children really got
kidnapped, and she's created this, you know,
this reality in her mind.
Either way it works.
Let's do this.
Alright, cool.
I'll set it up within the next few days, see if she
can meet with us, and then
Yeah, we'll just go from there.
- I've got a camera. - Alright.
- Let's do it. - Sounds good.
I'll talk to you later, man.
- K, see ya. - Bye.
Cool.
โช โช
You have a lot of missing persons.
You know, you have kids running away.
You have parents who have taken a kid because of
custody battles, and usually
most of them are actually found.
They were just always so...
kind've like hyperactive.
You know, they were always playing and running around
and being loud and...
They just loved being outside.
There was just something different in the air.
It's really hard to explain.
Kind've like when a storm's coming and
Things are kind've electric in air and you
feel the hairs on your arms start to kinda tingle.
This particular year in question
We had tripled reports that we
normally get which was unique.
And the ones surrounding this particular case were,
were never found.
The boys were a little bit different that day.
I don't... They were just sitting there.
They looked really tired like maybe they were
getting sick or, or something like that.
It didn't seem normal for them.
It was odd.
When I mentioned that to another adult that was
outside with me, she went to kinda check for
herself and they were gone.
At first, when I didn't see them I thought maybe
they had got up to play and were in one of the tunnels
or under slide or something like that.
So I really didn't think much of it at the time.
In an abduction the parents never really know
what happened to their child.
Who took them, where they are, whether they're alive
or dead, and that becomes so
difficult for the parents.
They often keep the, the room of the child
that's been abducted completely the same.
They don't touch it, they don't move things,
they don't put things away.
There's no allowances for the child ever growing up,
because in the parent's mind, that child, if that
child is abducted at the age of six, that child
forever remains six years old
in their heart and their head.
And it's very hard for them to move on in that way,
because they always have the hope that that
child will be returning.
So they don't want to put away their things,
they don't want to give anything away, they want
to keep it all there for the child in case the
return happens.
Well, there was a lot of pressure in the community
to find out what happened.
Some people did blame me.
Well, really, I guess it was
just mainly one person that,
that blamed me.
They will start looking at everyone on the street
differently, cause that person
might've taken their child.
It's a... a necessary evil that
you investigate everybody.
You go through parents, you go through family,
you go through siblings and friends.
Mili was very persistent in...
getting updates from us, and, we had to
constantly tell her that these kind of things go slow.
Gathering, you know, evidence is, is very slow
and in these cases, there was not a whole lot of
evidence to be gathered.
We just couldn't find them.
She just started ranting and was just kind of
getting out of control.
You know, I thought that...
you know, once things calmed down she would
realize that it wasn't my fault, but she kept
calling me and sending notes, and she'd show up
at my house, and she just kind of kept after me,
blaming me for it.
But it just got to the point where I had to get a
restraining order.
They'll do anything to make sense of what happened.
They will create a story where
there really is no story.
And sometimes it's, it's a simple story, within the
bounds of, of, of you know, rational thought...
but sometimes, it takes a turn, and they
will start to see things that aren't really there,
and start to have ideas that
really go outside of reality.
I'm talking, you know, alien abductions, or
paranormal activity, you know, the "Boogie Man,"
if you will, came and took their child.
And they start to see things in places where...
where, where no one else does.
Well, it sounds kind of crazy, but she would start
talking about this faceless man.
I was so affected by it, I couldn't go back.
The one thing that Mili always said to me that has
kinda stayed with me, it's always stuck out.
She would always say, "You can't run away from his
shadow forever. "
โช โช
We'd been partners for, well, about a year.
He was young, idealistic, as we all were.
He had good instincts, and...
he was a good partner to have.
Good person to be watching your back.
And this seemed to really get to him.
I think it's cause he was young, he had a young
family, young kids at the time, and...
and so he took this case very personally.
In their attempt to be supportive and sympathetic
to this parent who's lost a child, they'll start to
kind of take it on, and think, well maybe there
really is something to this...
this very irrational thinking around this
child's disappearance, and it can, it can throw,
families, you know, whole communities into
kind of a group, almost...
I don't want to call it a psychosis, but definitely
a group delusion.
As far as that night... got a call in from him,
saying that he'd actually found another one of
the missing kids.
One-eleven, Code 4?
Well, the little girl, actually, didn't end up
being missing.
She was with her family the entire evening, so...
You know, these kind of cases are very stressful.
And...
like I said, he took these things very personally.
Other than that I can't explain why he thought
that specific girl was there, however, there was
an abandoned vehicle there.
You know, we were both involved,
we were both on the case.
And, at that moment in time, you know, Marty
actually broke from protocol,
followed a lead by himself.
And there's a reason why you have a partner.
One-eleven, Still code 4?
Vehicle looks abandoned.
I'm gonna go and start the investigation.
Copy that, One-eleven.
There's a minor in the back of this vehicle.
Female.
Approximately eight years of age.
Copy that, One-eleven.
ETA twenty.
10-0.
I was the first on the scene.
He died in, officially, in a car accident.
Blunt force trauma to the head.
No, he was thrown from the vehicle.
I'm not a coroner.
It's not my position to say that.
I'm going to say that according to the official
statement, that it was blunt force trauma to the head.
Details of case is technically,
the case is still open.
It's tied to, the missing children.
That's really all I, I can tell you on this
particular topic.
Officer Williams was, was a professional.
He was a good detective.
You know, he had a lot of beliefs about different
things, and we all come up with many theories as to
this kind of disappearance.
And that's, I think that's, anything else I
would say on that would probably not be appropriate.
Why don't we just move on to a different topic?
Whether somebody believes in a shadow being
that kidnaps people.
Identify yourself! Don't move!
Marty!
Marty.
Marty!
Marty!
Marty!
Marty!
God Jesus!
Officer Williams is down!
This is Officer Barlow.
Officer Williams is down!
officer down!
Please send emergency assistance.
Please hurry!
I've heard the urban legend.
But that is of course not...
part of our official investigation to...
hunt down ghosts.
Well, it's, it's, a little on the...
It's ridiculous. Sorry.
Okay so, I just got into my car,
got out to my car and, this was on my windshield.
What the?
Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit...
What the?
Is that a tree?
She's gonna tell us the story, but...
I mean, she, she definitely seemed a little less,
you know, frantic than she did on the train,
but honestly, I don't know.
She was freaking out that day.
So, don't, like, just be nice.
So what are you saying, is she, like...
she's gonna butcher us all?
Okay, but I don't mean...
She's got like a body-filled garage with all
the other filmmakers that tried coming over?
No, no. But here's the thing, like...
We don't need to set her off.
I'm a friendly guy!
I know you're a friendly guy, I also know that you...
Nobody warned me about this lady going to butcher us.
Dan didn't tell you she's crazy?
No, well, I mean, he told me, he told me what she did.
Did you see the video?
No, I didn't see the video.
How are you?
Hello.
Good to see you.
Dan, remember?
Yes, I remember.
Mili, these are, these are the
production, production crew.
This is Ryan and Joel.
Friends of mine.
And then this is my girlfriend, Jyllian.
- Hi. - So...
Thank you.
Okay we brought a whole lot of lights to make
- you look beautiful. - What have you gotten us into?
- What? - This is a nice house.
Right where she's sitting looks like a great place.
You like her there?
Yeah.
Jyllian's my makeup artist.
She's gonna give you a little...
a little bit to keep you from
being shiny, if that's okay.
Yes. A little powder.
Okay, let's let's set up.
We're gonna bounce a little bit of light off the roof.
Onto the stairs?
Get this couch, here.
If she comes... My gosh!
What do you have in here, Mili?
A dead body.
And that was...
This documentary just totally changed around.
It's food storage.
Yeah, actually come...
come sit here, like I'm lighting you instead.
Okay, so.
Yeah, stay, stay right... No, I know, I know.
See how it's dark on his ear?
That's called a beard.
So, I wanna a rim light on his ear.
And can you hand me my gloves?
Here you go.
I like the way this...
I mean, It's working with the lighting.
- Yeah, it's... - I know what you're saying.
I think it's looking really nice.
No, he just wants me to cut the shadow.
Yeah. No, no, no, absolutely.
That looks really good.
Okay.
Alright we have the shot.
Alright, I think we're rolling.
I'm gonna...
Alright, Mili.
Thank you again for letting us, you know,
come into your home, and
you know, kind of destroy it
with the lights and stuff.
If at any time you feel uncomfortable...
you can just say "cut," and we'll cut, and you can
gain your composure, but
Alright, so we'll go into this.
Alright, so, what's your name?
- Mili. - Mili.
How many children do you have?
- Two boys. - Two boys.
And, and you...
and those boys have been kidnapped, is that correct?
Yes, five years ago.
Five years ago, they got kidnapped, okay.
They were abducted.
Abducted, alright.
Can you kind of give me a little of the background
story with that?
They were in the park.
They were playing.
And from what I was told, they were abducted.
They were taken.
They were with a group of children, and
When they were called to go, they took a little
longer than usual, and nobody
could find them after that.
They were just... they disappeared.
They were gone.
They were taken.
They were very happy children.
They didn't have fears.
They were very outgoing.
They loved being around people.
They talked to everyone.
So they never...
they never acted to me as
they were scared of anything.
So, so, so when we met on the train, you mentioned
something about a tall, slender entity,
or gentleman, who...
You have to understand that I was...
My medication, I wasn't on my medication like I'm
supposed to be.
I was transitioning from one medication to another.
And I admit, I was a little bit off that day,
and I apologize.
Now that I am, things are just...
they're totally fine.
I'm back to normal.
I'm fine.
But, but, but you, you had an
idea of, of who took them.
Or at least, that's, that's what you lead me to
believe when we talked on the train that day.
Again, I was transitioning from
one medication to another.
I'm on my medication now!
Okay... Let's, let's take five minutes.
Take a break.
There's a shadow on your face that I'd like to fix.
Okay.
Yeah, I saw that, sorry.
Yeah, I'm gonna do touch-ups, if that's okay?
- Do I have a second? - Yes, please.
Mili, do you mind if I use your restroom?
No, that's fine.
It's around the corner to the right.
- Okay. - Okay.
I'll get this light here.
I'm gonna...
- I'm gonna shut... - Excuse me, Ryan.
I'm gonna use this one here,
but use that as a fill light.
Okay.
Sorry.
This is gonna be harsh, Mili.
Alright, Joel.
I'm one to be snoopy, but her little boys' room
is there, and something is
not adding up in this story.
So, I'm gonna go try and get some footage.
Dude, this is, this is nuts.
She still has the boys' room set up, and they've
been gone for five years.
Hey, Joel!
Can I... talk to you for a minute?
Yeah, what's...?
Just need a, just have a quick, private conversation.
And actually...
why don't you, grab the camera,
so we can drop that footage.
What's up?
Dude.
Okay, you need to check this out.
What... what is this?
This is the boys' room, okay?
And I was, like, looking around.
I mean, dude, she...
It looks like, you know, she hasn't even done
anything with it in five years.
But here's the deal.
Okay, you need to get this.
Are you rolling?
- Yes, I'm rolling. - Okay, cool.
Okay, first of all, I told you, on the, on the train,
she said something about a slender entity, a slender
I don't even know, but like...
look at these pictures.
I mean, look at this.
What is this?
Like you have a little boy, a little boy,
but then you just have this random...
Is he in every one of these?
I dunno, but this stuff, this stuff's weird.
Then why isn't she telling us about it?
Why have she changed her mind?
- Joel, you saw the footage. - I did.
That day, she was terrified.
She was scared to death.
She was convinced that, that,
that something took her kids.
I don't know what to do, but Mili out there was
positive that a tall, shadowy,
slender figure is after her.
- Holy shit! - What?
What? What?
Ryan?
Yeah?
Nothing.
Joel, what happened?
Nothing. Don't worry about it.
Hey Mom, look at this!
You gonna go down the slide?
Cool!
Look at me!
You be careful! Don't you fall.
I'm going to do it on the other side.
I'm going to the other side!
Hey! How you doing?
Good.
Alright, Mili. Thank you again.
We really, really appreciate it.
We'll be in contact, okay?
We got everything we needed, so...
- Okay. - Thank you so much.
- Thank you. - Appreciate it.
- Have a nice night. - Bye, Mili!
I have our movie.
I know, I know what we're, we have to do next.
Cause that was boring as shit.
Hey, guys.
Thanks for, thanks for joining me.
I know that the weather's pretty bad, so I'm glad we
all have internet.
Did you all complete your homework assignments?
Yes.
I did work on mine, so...
- Yeah? - He did, I did, too!
What about you, Ryan?
I did.
Okay.
So that...
so that we're all on the same page, I gave everyone
a little bit of research on this slender character
that we've been, we've been talking about with Mili.
And so I want you guys to just share with
everyone what you said...
or what you found, I should say, so we can
all be on the same page, so I can tell you what
we're going to do with the doc, okay?
Dan... why don't you start?
Okay, cool.
Just, obviously so you guys know, I just got off
work, so I'm on my way home right now, if I
lose you guys, I'll just, I'll
reconnect once I get home.
- On my laptop. - Yeah, that's fine.
the research I found was, was some artists back in,
back in the past.
They'd drawn some, some images...
The was more of a skeletal figure.
It, you know, it kind of looked like a skeleton
with a skull and then it had multiple arms coming
out from its back.
Apparently he's been around for ages, and
A few of the pictures was kind of weird.
They, they did some restorations on a couple
of the paintings, and initially when you looked
at it, it was just like a picture of a little kid,
or something like that, but then once they
restored it and actually pulled away some of the
layers, there was this ominous figure in the
background that originally was painted, but then,
apparently, over time, had been covered up.
So... so it was definitely, a little eerie.
I don't know if we're maybe messing with the,
dark arts here, but
it didn't make me feel very good about our project.
- Okay. Okay. - That's weird.
Ryan.
Let's hear what you got.
The best thing I found, I'll be honest with you,
is this game.
I've been playing it...
I dunno, for like the last half hour.
A video game?
You walk through the woods with like a flashlight,
looking for paper, I dunno.
I haven't found anything.
So, you've been playing games?
I'm playing a game, yeah.
Okay.
It's pretty intense.
It's... I mean... all the videos
I saw online, I'll be honest,
they all kinda looked fake to me.
I, I...
Yeah, all the ones I saw looked pretty unrealistic.
Right, so... But the game is kinda fun.
It's a little more psychological, and...
I mean...
I've been playing it for a half hour.
Just sitting here, drinking a beer and
playing a game.
And that's what I did for my research.
What were you even supposed to research?
Basically, you're being worthless to this project.
Look, I, you know...
I was given an assignment, and everyone knows
that that's a bad idea.
The ever-reliable Ryan! We love ya!
Okay...
Well, Jyllian, what did you, you discover?
I discovered... Okay, so...
I think we lost Dan.
He did, he said he'd...
he'll join us when he gets into service again.
Okay.
Let me show you what I found.
Let me make this work.
This is what I found.
This is what he looks like.
After doing my research I think
I'm gonna put him in a suit.
Keep him classy.
Okay, well... Let me, tell you what I found.
In my research, I found out that...
anybody can be a victim.
All that is required is that you believe.
So, cannot hurt you unless you believe in him.
It's sort of a Catch-22.
But the cool thing is, he can...
he can, make you believe in him as soon as
you've heard of him.
So he'll do whatever it takes to, to bring you
to that breaking point of believing in him,
so he can hurt you.
The other thing...
You're good until you believe in him.
- Yeah. - Right?
Yeah.
But if... it's like...
It'd be like if Santa Claus, couldn't bring
presents unless, unless you believed in him.
Which it is kinda like that... anyway.
The other thing, the other thing I found is
that it's not just an internet
thing, like this, this...
this character was born, from lots and lots of places.
Like, you saw some of those
photos I showed you earlier?
While Dan was talking?
But he's been around for a while.
And I went to the library.
Yes, I know a real life library.
Like with books and everything?
With books and everything.
Well, I, I found out later that
I could've just used Google.
So you went by accident?
Yeah, I went there by accident,
but could've Googled it there.
You had to use the washroom.
But I found this article with the Wellsboro Gazette,
July 29th, 1900.
And it's really low quality on here, but right
here it talks about a man named Jonas Smitts who,
was accused of murdering his daughter.
But the interesting thing about the story was that
they couldn't find her body.
Not only that, but it was what
it says, right about here.
"A 10 year old girl, Alice Smitts, went missing a
week ago Friday.
According to the police report, Jonas Smitts, the
girl's father, was found with a blank look on his
face, his shirt covered in blood.
And the only words he could keep repeating were
'No face. No face. No face. '
All trials and court procedures were
suspended, as Jonas was sent straight to the
mental facility upstate. "
Now, the only item they found on this guy's, person...
happened to be this photo.
Is this for real?
Rah!
You are so mean!
That was so mean!
What? I told you I was coming over.
This is not even funny right now.
I'm so mad at you!
Did I not mention I left work and I was coming over?
So, what are we talking about, you guys?
No, he was just right in the middle of this super
creepy story, too.
We were talking about our next assignments, which...
this was perfect.
This was the perfect set-up for it.
More assignments?
Yes, more assignments, but this is good.
Can you make mine easy?
What are you bitching about?
You don't even do the assignments in the first place!
- Jyllian. - What?
I need you to actually make a costume
that Ryan can fit into.
What do you mean?
Wait, wait, wait... why?
I don't know what I'm more terrified of:
that image of Ryan, or what's going on in your
mind right now.
Are you a little teapot?
Ryan, we put clothes on you, Ryan.
- We put a costume. - He's walking like an Egyptian.
Okay, while... while he's dancing...
we need him to be in costume, and Dan, I need
you to find the boys' school and get us
permission to film there after hours.
- Because we... - Okay, wait, really quick.
I understand why I should be getting the school to
film that, but why is Ryan getting into costume?
What does that have to do with our documentary?
Because we are going to scare the shit out of Mili.
Yes.
Wait, wait, wait...
are you being serious right now?
Deadly serious.
This is, this is going to be the best...
It's become a documentary about fear.
And I want her to feel the fear that she showed you
on the train.
K, but that fear she showed me
on the train was real fear.
Exactly.
And we're not gonna...
I don't know how I feel about
playing off this woman's...
I mean she lost her two kids five years ago.
I'm on board.
It's mean!
You saw what he just did to me.
That's exactly... It was brilliant!
No, it wasn't.
Okay it was funny, but it wasn't.
It was brilliant.
I mean, to be honest with you, Joel, I don't
know how I necessarily feel about it, either, but
you're the director, and
if that's what you think's gonna work, then I say
let's do it.
Okay, let's do it.
Alright, Joel.
Because you are so popular, and apparently so
busy doing who knows what...
we are going to film the measurement process and
this production meeting for you, and then I will
send it to you later.
So... Hi, Joel.
Tell your brother hi.
Tell your lover hi.
- Just kidding... - Hi.
General, like small, medium, large.
Small, or a "s'medium. "
"S'medium?"
Like, a small/medium?
A "s'medium?"
I'm writing that. I'm writing "s'medium. "
Write s'medium.
It depends on the shirt!
So, how do you feel about being this...
slender creature that is going to be.
I've worked my whole life...
I've worked my whole life to
stay this slender for this role.
To stay this slender just for this role?
Where am I holding it?
In my belly button?
No, not your belly button.
You're gonna hold it right up in there.
In my... in my junk?
- In his crotch-al area? - Yup.
Babe, I'm happy you made him hold it there and you
didn't put it there.
He's a face-less entity.
I thought maybe he would have, like, a...
We're gonna add a little flare.
A gentleman bowler's hat.
Or something.
This is, this is the classy British version.
I'm gonna say 30/32.
You're full of it.
You're like a 24.
You're probably...
you're probably 70 pounds soaking wet.
Look at you, skinny man.
- That's the whole point! - It's the point.
It's a full... My gosh, I'm so excited!
A little too excited.
Okay, wait... And the legs, cause we have the
stilts, but I sent them to Joel.
- You did? - Yes.
How... how big are you gonna make this guy?
I dunno like ginormous.
What's ginormous?
I'm already 6 feet.
But, I mean, the stilts are like 3 feet.
- Are you serious? - Yeah.
Wait...
I'm not gonna be able to walk on stilts.
I'll be back after I try these.
I'm not gonna send this to Joel, but in all honesty,
like what do you think about this idea?
You've alluded that you felt a little awkward
- about this, but... - I do, I feel bad!
Like her kid is missing, you know, and...
- Well, not kid, kids. - Kids, sorry.
- Both her sons. - I know.
I've tried bringing it up to
Joel, but it's not like he...
Joel doesn't want to hear anything. He...
No, he doesn't. He thinks it's a great idea.
And I love him, but...
Well, you know your brother.
Like, he gets his mind set
on something, and that's it.
Like, I really still would like
to do the documentary on it.
I think there's something here.
Like, I would like to help her.
I would like to, you know, tell her story.
- Hold on. - Okay, sorry.
If you're gonna be saying all
this, I need to be showing you.
Okay.
She obviously lost her children, and the police
did nothing for her, like...
Exactly. And she obviously thinks it's very real.
I definitely think she might have a little screw
loose, but who, who...
but at the same time, who wouldn't? Who wouldn't?
You lose your kids, of course anyone's gonna go
a little cuckoo.
- So... - I would.
Yeah! Yeah! No, we were just chatting.
So... Let's see.
- My gosh! - My gosh!
That is so... that's super creepy!
Give us the robot?
My gosh!
It's... I'll be honest, a little hard to see.
And if I'm on stilts, and we've got some extra
appendages...
I'm gonna need some help, like getting it on and off.
- Dude! - This is gonna be so mean.
Okay, here's the deal.
I need to be honest right now, okay?
And Jyllian and I were just talking about this,
but I wanna ask your opinion, Ryan, because
this really is a little eerie.
- Is it? - No, it's like super creepy.
It's pretty creepy.
That's good, that's what we want.
Alright, we're having our doubts about...
if we should... be scaring this nice woman.
- Really? - Yeah!
You're not an asshole like the rest of us, is what
he's trying to say.
Well, I already knew that.
No, I don't have any apprehensions about it.
The whole point of it is to invoke a real response.
That's the whole thing, right?
Isn't that what Joel said?
The whole thing is to provoke a real response
from her, so regardless of whether or not she's on
meds, if she turns around and she sees a
- standing there... - It's gonna be scary.
We're gonna get a real response!
Well, Jyllian.
Have it go on record that you and I will go along
with this idea, but we are not 100% on board.
It is on record.
On record.
I'll say I'm 97.
So when you... I'll give you guys 3%.
I won't be rotting in prison.
There's no...
if anything, it's involuntary manslaughter.
What are you doing?
Just filming.
Just filming my beautiful girlfriend.
Joel wants me for the prank to...
carry a camera around, and kinda...
you know, obviously record stuff, so...
Just messing around with it.
Trying to get used to it.
Do you really think we should be doing this?
Me filming you in the dark?
You talking about the prank?
Yes! Always, yeah.
Joel found some people that
want to invest in the film.
They haven't, like, solidified the details, or
anything, but, so I don't know
how much it's gonna be, but...
Okay, so we're getting paid, yeah.
So we're getting paid, so you're okay with that?
Yeah, I guess so, yeah.
What? What's that?
What's outside?
That's not funny.
What are you talking about?
You didn't even look!
What just happened?
The power must've just gone out.
Why?
You know, let...
Babe, I'm gonna go check the fuse box.
I'll be right back.
No, no, please, please don't go anywhere.
Please.
Babe, it's fine, just stay there, okay?
You're gonna...
I don't want you to hurt yourself.
I, no, I, I need some light over here.
I need some light over here.
I'm not opening the blinds.
Please open the blinds. I can't see.
I need to find the fuse box.
It's not even bright enough outside.
Yes, it is.
Just open the blinds.
You bastards!
It's not funny!
My gosh, man, that was perfect!
Not funny!
Babe!
I'm gonna kick your ass.
Tell me you like the costume!
I did a good job.
That was awesome!
Are you okay? Sitting here in the grass?
I'm not even gonna help him.
You can sit there all night!
At least I landed on something soft this time.
Why did you... Did you bring this lamp outside?
Well, hello! It's all part of the prank!
Yeah, you wouldn't have been able to see us!
That's my good lamp!
Why would you put this outside?
You guys are so dumb.
- Because why wouldn't we? - You're not even funny!
We are elaborate...
we are elaborate hoax artists.
Yes, we are.
My stomach hurts.
So dumb.
You sure you still wanna do this?
I am positive I wanna do this.
You're ready to burn in hell?
If he's hiding under the stairs, as she comes down,
and we have...
we have our recording of our little girl crying
down at this end, right!
So she'll come towards it, obviously.
- She's a mother, right? - You guys...
You got the little boy crying, too, right?
Okay.
You have a recording of a little
boy and a little girl crying?
So he'll be kinda tucked in under here as she walks
that way, and he's gonna come up behind her and
we're gonna catch that.
And then I have to put the back piece on there,
and I gotta adjust this.
But I don't know... if I need them in.
I'm assuming I need them all the way in, just cause
I've got a thin leg.
I'm concerned, too!
I'm serious.
Did, did we have you sign a waiver before this?
Just look at the camera and say, "I'm not gonna sue. "
Why are you so grumpy all the time, Eric?
- I've stood up once. - Stood up once?
We don't have a clip on this guy.
But I'm wearing...
I'm wearing tight underwear, so you can just
stick it down there, next to my ass?
I don't want my lavs in there.
Am I gonna have a walkie-talkie as well?
Yeah, you'll have an earpiece, so we...
I can cue you.
- Okay, go ahead and pull it up? - I'm gonna be...
I'm gonna be watching the
security camera, so you can...
So how is that gonna work?
Before I put the hood over, you're gonna stick
that in my ear?
We'll have to.
You're practical track, or whatever?
Yeah, I can hear you. You're right in my ear.
Watch this.
From all the way down the hall you're gonna do it?
Ryan.
- Yes? - This is your father speaking.
My who?
This is God.
You're gonna burn in hell.
Bet that's true.
Okay, I need help with the cord.
Are you rolling sound at all?
Yet?
No, we're not rolling sound yet.
Well, I want...
the whole point of mic-ing people is to have the
behind-the-scenes sound.
You're not rolling on anyone's sound?
He really thought "what am I doing with these people?"
Alright.
Scene 1. Take one.
Jyllian, will you clap or say something, just so we
know it's working?
Does this microphone make my head look big?
Yep, I hear everybody, including you.
Even me?
Including you.
Did you hear that?
Sorry?
Did you hear that?
Did... is somebody down there right now?
No, there shouldn't be.
Everyone's in the room, right?
Yeah, everybody.
Ryan, do you have a flashlight with you?
Yup, there's two right here.
I think one of them is better than the other.
Any light will do.
Alright.
It is a little eerie down here.
For like three months or something.
At night sometimes I'm, like, lying in bed, and
you know like when you're just about to fall asleep,
like you're in that...
You start to fall into like a dream state.
I feel like... like shadowed.
It's like...
like a web of shadows, like, coming over me.
And then I like startle awake.
But it's like this claustrophobic feeling,
and I can't get back to sleep.
- That's a new... - That's scary.
It's freaky. It's really freaky.
That's really freaky.
And I've, like...
Dan's been having these, like, weird nightmares...
- Dan is? - Yeah! Yeah.
He's been having weird dreams, and, I've been
having weird stuff happen.
And it's... I'm...
I'm officially freaked out.
I hate this really bad.
Well, what do you think?
You haven't even seen it.
What, I can't talk at all?
- You look great. - Is it creepy?
No, you can't talk at all.
Should I do that button or not?
Do it.
I can probably take one step.
- Okay. - I can make one step.
We can probably get her with
one step, don't you think?
Yeah, I only need one step.
Like that. There you go.
Wait, can we do this?
Can we do one of these?
I'm recording.
Why are we doing one of these?
I can see you. Can you see me?
- Yes, I can see you. - I can see you.
I'm looking through a camera.
I just want this to happen in a timely manner, please.
You know, I'm not gonna stand back there anymore.
I'm coming up here. I'm sorry.
That's fine.
Guys, I swear I keep hearing something back there.
Where?
Back there!
Why would there be anything back there?
I don't know!
- There's nothing. - I just...
Babe, it's okay.
What is it you think you hear?
I can hear something.
I swear I keep hearing something back there.
It's fine... It's fine, I'm just...
What is it you think you hear?
It sounded like some... like foot steps?
I know. I thought I heard talking.
And then I... Yeah, and then
I thought I heard talking.
We are all walking down the hall and talking.
No, but did you hear that...
- Just saying... - Like in my walkie-talkie.
No, like back...
There's six people making foot
steps and six people talking.
Behind us, though?
This might be a little difficult.
Nah, he's got it.
I trust him.
So I'm just gonna come in here and, like, what?
And hide like... like this?
Yeah, you're just gonna be there.
You can't have your hand on the railing.
So, can you make it...
She's not gonna see you.
How do you have the light?
He's gonna have to get to this point for the light
to see him, right?
- That's your mark. - Alright.
So walk to me.
Walk to you?
That's more than one step.
My gosh, he looks so creepy.
You have to look at it through the camera.
It's so bad.
You guys, seriously!
I can't.
That's terrifying, though!
I have no reference, though!
Come here, come look.
Look how creepy that is through the camera.
My gosh!
Let's get him back to one and make that phone call.
โช โช
Jyllian's been freaking out for the past week.
She's, like, having nightmares about this.
Doesn't matter.
All I need you to do, though, is make the call.
- I just... - She trusts you.
I... I don't want to.
I don't want to!
Then give me the damn phone. I'll do it.
You know what? This is all on you.
I'm done!
Mili, Mili, Mili.
Okay.
Mili! Hi.
I... we... interviewed you about a year ago?
Yeah... About your boys, yeah.
Yes. What can I do for you?
Well...
I didn't want to let your story go away.
I still wanted to tell it.
So I've been doing some digging, and...
well, I'm down here at your boys' old school, and I...
I may have found a lead to what happened to them.
I, I can't tell you over the
phone so much, you just need...
you need to come down here as, as soon as you can.
Alright.
I'll be there.
Thank you.
Bye.
Are you serious?
About what?
You didn't tell me that's
what you were gonna tell her.
Why would you need to know that?
You just told her that you found her kids, and I'm...
I'm not okay with that, so I'm just...
I didn't.
Yeah. Nope... not okay with that.
- I didn't find her kids. - So I'm gonna go.
I mean, I just really can't believe that's what
you were telling her, that you found her kids.
Joel, I'm gonna go find her and wait for her
in the parking lot.
Whatever, I can't...
I'm gonna tell her what's going on.
Think about it.
So don't... Guys! Guys, guys, guys, guys...
Wait up, wait up.
Joel, I'm over it.
I know you put a year into it, but I'm over it.
Look.
Like, get her hopes up to, you know, destroy her.
- I'm not even... - Are you filming right now?
No, I'm not.
- Really? - Yeah, I'm not rolling.
I... this is just a...
It was just, like it was supposed to start off as
just being some, like funny prank.
And I now I just feel like it's...
it's too much.
What do you want me to do?
I've put everything into this.
My... all of my money... my time...
your time.
This is it.
I've been trying to do this since I was a child,
and I... This is all I have.
I can't... Alright, stop.
I know what you've put into this, and I know, you
know, the time and effort that's gone into it.
I'm just gonna say this.
I'm not cool with it, but I will help you.
You know I will.
But I'm not gonna like it.
No.
She's on her way, so.
You called her?
There's no turning back now.
Okay.
I just give me a moment.
Alright.
You okay?
Yeah.
You'll be fine. And she...
It's your call, Joel.
If anything, it's gonna help her.
- This is your circus. - It's gonna help...
Hello?
Yes... are you here?
Yes, I'm here. I hate this place.
I know, I know.
We're...
we're just downstairs at the end of the hall.
There's something finicky with the power, so just
watch your step.
We're, but we're down here.
Okay.
Alright, here she comes. You guys ready for this?
Totally.
Hello?
This is gonna to be brilliant.
Do you have a walkie-talkie so I can cue Ryan?
Okay.
Here play with that.
What am I doing?
Take your mind off of it.
Stand by Ryan.
Okay, go Ryan, go.
Ryan, go!
Ryan, go! Where is he?
Hello?
What the?
What's happening?
Ryan just scared her.
We missed it!
What... Go, go, go, go!
Guys!
Ryan!
- What are you doing? - What's going on?
It's got me.
What's got you?
The railing.
Why'd you... why'd you scream?
I'm freakin' gonna fall over, man!
I'm stuck in the railing.
Did you see Mili come down?
Yeah, where did she go?
No, where did she go?
- She was just right here. - Where's Mili?
She just came down the stairs.
Well, if she went down there.
You guys went right past her.
- What? - No, we didn't.
I mean, I can only see this far in front of me.
I watched her go that way.
We were watching the security camera and it
all went dark.
- Did you hear her scream? - Seriously, where's Mili?
Seriously, can you unhook my arm, and I'll...
She was over here.
She seriously went down...
she went down right there where you are.
I can see Jyllian.
And that's where she went, and she just kept going.
Didn't go that way.
- We just ran from there. - We just came down there.
Well, she didn't go back up the stairs!
I was stuck here at the bottom of the staircase!
Mili!
You're sure she didn't run past you?
She's probably hiding in the bathroom.
Check the bathrooms.
- Mili! - Mili!
I didn't know you were gonna turn the light out.
Well, I didn't turn the light out.
Mili!
Dan, don't go down here by yourself.
Mili!
Mili!
- Mili! - Where is she?
Mili!
Are you okay, babe?
No! I'm not okay! Are you kidding me?
Mili's gone!
No, no, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine.
She went... she might...
There's doors down here.
Mili!
So, I waited til she got to the bottom of the
staircase, and then you flashed the light.
I didn't flash the light.
- I... - Okay.
How could I have possibly flashed the light?
I don't know... Well, then it went out!
So I thought... I dunno!
I don't know how it... it just went out!
So I thought that was my cue, so I started to step
out, but my arm was stuck.
And you couldn't...
you didn't see her move or go anywhere?
No, because I can't see anything!
Guys, Mili's not down there.
She's not down there.
Well obviously she's not down there.
Did you check all the rooms?
We went through all the rooms.
There's an exit down there, I checked that door.
It's locked.
So, so, so Joel cued you.
You heard Joel cue you.
No! I got static in my ear.
All of a sudden I...
She starts coming down the stairs and I start getting
static in my ear, so I thought that that might be
my cue, but she hadn't got
to the bottom of the stairs.
So I waited. Okay?
And then the light went out, so then I thought
that's my cue, because she'd gotten to the bottom
of the staircase.
So I started to step out, my arm was stuck in the
thing, and I started walking, and then I was stuck!
Like, I was gonna fall over!
So I just called for help.
She left? She left?
She just randomly disappeared?
No, she ran upstairs and disappeared, and he can't
see anything, so he didn't notice.
Mili!
This is Dan and Joel and Ryan and Jyllian!
Come out, please!
It was a prank!
We're sorry!
Is her car here?
Did anyone check?
Okay wait.
what's down there?
Did you hear that?
It was probably just Mili.
You guys go figure that out.
My gosh.
This is... That wasn't Mili.
Okay wait, did this light stay on the whole time.
- Wait! - What?
It's okay, it's just the lights.
- What the hell? - What was that?
Mili!
Was that Mili?
Mili!
I don't know... I don't know
what's going on right now,
but I'm gonna go upstairs to see if that was her.
We'll check down here, you check up there.
Okay? Do you have a flashlight?
Do you have your flashlight, babe?
Alright.
Ryan just stay...
- What the hell? - What is that?
It's Mili. Guys, it's probably just Mili, honestly.
Okay! Here's the deal!
Ryan, stay here.
Joel, go upstairs with Eric.
We'll look down here.
Okay.
God, this is... This is so stupid!
This is exactly what I didn't want!
This is why I said we shouldn't do this!
Mili, come out!
It was just a prank!
She's probably just hiding
in the bathroom, that's all.
Okay, just go find her!
Alright, whatever.
Ryan, you're gonna be alright here?
Well, I can't see anything. I mean...
So you're gonna be alright?
Come here, I need your flashlight.
Jyllian.
Jyllian!
Jyllian.
Are you okay?
Hey, hey are you okay?
You know what?
I'm fine.
Just go! You guys go.
We'll find her.
You know what.
Ten to one, she's outside.
She just left, she left.
Her car's not even outside.
The door's open.
Well, that's her car. She's here.
She's still here, she couldn't have gone far.
So where is she?
Then she must still be inside.
Let's go check the classrooms.
I'm fine, yeah.
Okay, I need your flashlight.
She might be in here.
Mili!
- Mili! - I'm not... I'm not... Jyllian.
Babe.
Jyllian!
Are you okay?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm fine.
I'm fine, yeah.
Okay. I need your flashlight.
She might be in here.
Shine it through this window.
Mili!
Mili!
Babe, let's go.
Hey, come on.
Come on.
Are you okay?
You are not acting okay.
Here, is she down here?
Mili!
Shine your flashlight out here.
Shoot it around.
Did you see that?
Babe, I know.
Babe, I know this is scary.
We're gonna find her.
It was a stupid prank.
We shouldn't... Where are you going?
Hear what?
It sounded like...
She's just in here somewhere.
Mili?
You in here?
Joel.
What?
Look...
You hired me to shoot a documentary, man.
Yeah.
My day rate doesn't include me being pranked, okay?
What makes you think we're pranking you?
I didn't... yeah, that's what I thought.
Let's just continue checking classrooms.
We'll be fine.
The sound effects, for one.
What? What sound effects?
The laughter?
The crying, the laughter?
You're talking about the little boy crying?
Well, what's playing right now?
I don't know.
I don't have the headphones on.
Nah, man... whatever.
Eric?
Babe.
You okay?
Hey, talk to me.
This is stupid.
I can't believe we even said we would do this.
I know, I know.
Babe, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Talk to me.
Did you hear that?
What? What?
I didn't hear anything.
Babe, talk to me.
Hey.
Jyllian!
Babe, seriously, everything's gonna be fine.
Just relax.
Eric?
You've got to be kidding me.
Hey, look at me.
Look at me.
Baby.
Jyllian, baby, look at me.
Everything's gonna be fine. Okay?
You're freaking me out.
Breathe, breathe, breathe.
I'm here, I'm here, I'm not going anywhere.
Relax.
Okay.
I'm sure... I'm sure Mili just ran off.
Your brother's probably found her already.
Son of a bitch.
Ryan?
Ry... Eric?
Seriously?
Hello!
Joel, we're in here!
Are you okay?
Are you gonna be okay?
Everything's gonna be fine.
- I'm here. - What's that? Seriously?
Joel, did you find her?
No, I didn't find her.
Have you guys seen Eric?
He was with you.
Yeah, and he... he just took off.
What do you mean, he just took off?
I mean he just took off.
He ran off?
So we're just basically losing everyone.
We've lost Mili, we've lost Eric, and...
where's Ryan?
He... I thought he was with you guys.
He was with us? He was on stilts!
We went down the hall.
Did you see him when you came down the hall?
No, I didn't.
There's nobody in the hall.
Your sister's freaking out, we can't find anybody.
They're just going.
They're leaving. They're going home.
They're done with this project because nothing's
working the way it's supposed to be working.
Really? Yeah, and so we're all just freaking out,
everyone got pissed and left.
Yeah, that's the only thing that's happened.
There's more important things than this movie.
Jyllian!
Jyllian, where are you going?
Jyllian!
I turned the corner, she was right there.
And now she's gone.
Where is she?
How would I know?
You were five feet behind her.
Literally, I was right behind her.
She turned the corner and was gone!
- What? Which corner? - This corner!
She just went up the stairs!
She turned the corner, I was right behind her, and
she was gone.
This is your fault!
None of us wanted to do this!
Mili's gone, Eric's gone, Ryan's gone, now your
sister's gone!
Well, you shouldn't have done it if you didn't want
to do it!
Where is she?
How would I know?
Jyllian!
Listen, shut up, shut up, shut
up, shut up... you hear that?
That sounds like... that sounds like...
That sounds like crying.
It's coming from here.
Hello?
Jyllian! Babe!
Babe.
Jyllian.
Babe.
Jyllian.
Babe.
Dan!
Come on.
Dan!
Dan?
Dan?
Jyllian?
Jyllian!
Jyllian?
Jyllian?
Dan?
This isn't funny!
Jyllian, Jyllian, Jyllian!
No.
You're not real.
You're not real.
