(Gift of snacks for the fans!)

(Bringing up their sugar level)

(Let's fight on until the end!)

(Track and field)

This is the final race for the female 60 meters dash.

Lane 1, Eunseo from Cosmic Girls.

Lane 2, Binnie from Oh My Girl.

Lane 3, Yuju from GFriend.

Lane 4, Rui from H.U.B.

Lane 5, Se-jong from Gugudan.

Lane 6, Seoyul from Berry Good.

If notice, Jun Hyun-moo,

You can already see their determination from lanes 3, 4, and 5, from Se-jong, Rui,

and Yuju.

Look at their uniforms!

Despite this severe cold, they're just wearing t-shirts!

- It's so they can be lighter! - Yes, to be lighter.

- But we're indoors, it's not that cold. - That's... True.

We've got a nice heater here.

The viewers can enjoy the race even more if you can see it from these two points.

Will Yuju take the gold medal again, 3 years in a row?

Or will a new star, Rui, take the gold?

On top of that, can they break the 9-sec wall, for the first time in a female race?

These are the two factors you can keep in mind.

Se-jong is also expected to do very well in this race.

We'll start the final race for the female 60 meters dash.

Wow, it's making me nervous.

It's between the a known and experienced contender versus

a new one.

(Completely focused)

You can see laser beams from her eyes.

(Burning)

She's definitely competitive.

All of them are very competitive.

Get set!

They take off!

They're running!

(Getting really into it)

(Who will rewrite history)

(And win the gold medal?)

(They run full-force at the starting gun)

(Using her long legs to stride forward)

(Worthy to compete with Usain Bolt)

- What's going on here? - This is unexpected!

It's Rui! Rui!

Rui wins the gold medal!

It seems like she won't have many challengers for a while!

- I think so too! - It's the new era of Rui!

(Great job!)

- Wow! - Look at her strides!

She's got a totally different way of running!

She breaks out from the pack and her strides are so much wider!

Rui's knees are much higher, too.

I'm curious about her time.

Yuju would've won if it weren't for Rui.

She almost got in the 8-second range!

It's almost a guy's record!

Yes, the guys are in the 8-second range.

How amazing!

(For this 60 meters dash)

(She went through a fierce training for two months)

I diligently practiced to go on the Idol Star Championship.

(Rui worked harder than anyone else)

(The members are all in joy together because they know her effort)

(Dreams come true! A birth of "Usain Bolt")

The male 60 meters dash is next.

Lane 1, Se-bin from Snuper.

Lane 2, Jooheon from Monsta X.

Lane 3, Woosung from Snuper.

Lane 4, Moonbin from Astro.

Lane 5, Seungwoo from Victon.

Lane 6, Kuhn from UP10TION.

It's extremely difficult to foresee the result.

Even if there is a winner, it might come down to a photo finish.

I think it'll be that close.

Head to head, right?

Yes.

(Getting more heated)

Twice's Nayeon is on the field for an interview before this final

race of male 60 meters dash.

Nayeon!

Hello, this is Reporter Nayeon from Twice, on the field for interviews.

Let's meet the athletes who are about to sprint for the gold medal.

Lane 2 is Jooheon from Monsta X.

Who do you think is your greatest rival here?

And what would you like to say to him?

I think Woosung from Snuper in my next lane is the biggest rival.

Are you confident that you'll beat him?

I'll do my best to do so.

(He's got confidence!)

That's Jooheon for you!

Woosung from Snuper on Lane 3, please tell us your determination for this race.

I'll work hard so that color gold won't be taken away.

Thank you.

He said he won't lose.

Kuhn from UP10TION, are you confident that you'll win this race?

I'll show you a hidden talent to show how determined I am.

Great! He knows exactly what to do.

Awesome!

I'll mimic the voice from "VJ's on the scene."

I'm excited to hear it!

Idol members are everywhere! A war in track meet!

The idol member is here! How amazing!

(He's good!)

(He's good at everything!)

Who will be the gold medalist of 2017 Idol Star Athletics Championships for the male

60 meters dash?

You can look forward to it!

MBC is the place to be for the holidays!

- That was cute! - She's so cute.

She's perfect for the holidays, isn't she?

The athletes are getting ready for this final race for the 60 meters dash.

It's even making me nervous.

(Heart thumping)

This is the final round.

Get set!

(An intense moment)

(Betting everything to be in the 7-second-range)

They look great!

(Getting up)

(Oh my...)

(Taking off at the same time)

(Head-to-head)

(Still can't believe it)

I have no idea who won!

(Who finished first?)

It's just like you said, we need to look at the camera to see who won!

(Incredibly close race until the end!)

It's extremely difficult to tell with bare eyes.

There were many times that we had to see footage to determine the winner.

But it is extremely rare to see all 6 athletes finishing around the same time

and they all think that they might have won.

One of them is a record-setter! But it was such a close race.

The most important thing is that one's chest must come in first.

It's not judged by one's head or legs, but it's the chest.

I see that Woosung pushed forward his chest as if he's falling into the finish line.

Here's the photo!

I think Woosung's chest stuck out the most.

(Astro's Moonbin vs. Snuper's Woosung)

(Who will take the gold?)

There it is!

It's Woosung!

Snuper's Woosung takes the gold.

(All in joy)

(A gold medal ceremony with their fan club, Swing)

(Thankful fans who always encourage them)

(Today will be a precious memory)

(Snuper with Swing)

(Archery)

This is the group final round for female archery.

It happens to be between the same teams from last year's championship.

It'll be between EXID and GFriend.

I'm very curious to see which team will win this year.

We're about to begin.

The first round is between Hyelin of EXID and Yerin from GFriend.

How intense!

Hyelin's first shot!

- That's no good! - She rushed!

- 4 points. - She's normally very calm.

This puts her in danger.

Now it's Yerin.

Yerin, following Hyelin.

(Overpowers from the beginning)

Is GFriend going to make it happen?

It's a clean shot for 9 points!

(The second arrow)

- 7 points! - She lands 7 points.

(Yerin's second shot)

6 points, that's a 6-pointer.

This makes it all the more interesting!

(They're 4 points behind apart)

Will they be able to catch up?

- Good! - 7 points!

(Yerin's last shot)

9 points!

(Yerin makes up for her previous bad shot and takes lead)

(The second shooter: EXID's Hani vs. GFriend's Umji)

- That's still good. - Yes.

(Umji's first shot)

She also scores 6!

Both teams have some up's and down's.

They're probably nervous seeing that it's the final round.

Especially because they had already faced each other here last year.

(Her second shot)

- That's great! - 9 points, Hani!

That was a very important moment!

You can see how determined she is.

7 points!

They are 4 points away.

It's a close game!

Hani's last shot.

- 7 points. - That's pretty good.

8 points!

GFriend is on the lead with 5 more points.

It's the final around. (EXID's Jeonghwa vs. GFriend's Eunha)

I'm sure she feels the pressure.

The last round.

She's very calm and cautious.

9 points!

GFriend should be nervous!

- That was a great shot! - Yes, a very clean shot.

Now it's Eunha's turn.

She got 9 points!

It's give and take!

Is that the right way to say it?

Jeonghwa gets another 9 pointer!

(Eunha also gets 9 points)

(She catches up...)

(Then she runs away!)

9 points first, then another 9 points to follow!

It's such a close match! Can't say who'll win!

It's Jeonghwa's last shot.

- Good! - 9 points.

6 points!

Only a 2-point difference!

GFriend has 69 points, EXID has 67 points.

This comes down to the two aces.

GFriend is ahead by 2 points.

(Only one arrow remains)

(Gold? Or silver?)

(What will be the fate of this arrow?)

Oh, she got 7 points.

EXID finishes with 74 points total.

(The color of their medal is in Eunha's hands)

(What will fate determine?)

(Last year, in Chuseok holidays...)

I hope she gets a 10.

(GFriend had lost their gold medal with just a few points)

Gold medal!

(Will they make up for their previous loss?)

(What will be the fate of GFriend?)

8 points!

GFriend wins!

They beat EXID this time

and become the new archery champions, winning the gold medal!

GFriend, let's go to your fans!

(Running to their fans)

Here's their song!

(Flying over to their Buddy)

(For the members of Buddy who've cheered for GFriend)

(Take this and be energized!)

(Commemorating this joyous moment)

(GFriend with Buddy)

(Male Archery - Group Round: B1A4 vs. Seventeen)

Seventeen and B1A4 are on the final round.

It's B1A4's Gongchan vs. Vernon of Seventeen.

Gongchan goes first.

Important shot here.

8 points!

9 points!

(His second arrow)

- 9 points! - It's a 9.

It's on the line, so it's a 9-pointer.

It's the final round and it's hard to guess who'll win.

- What did it hit? - The lens...

Let's see it in slow motion.

I think it hit the lens and bounced off.

I thought it was 5 points, but the arrow hit the lens!

(Cracked)

If he was any farther, his arrow would've broke through the lens.

It's Gongchan's last shot.

9 points!

It's Vernon.

A tight race and it's his last shot.

It's an 8-pointer.

(1-point difference in the end)

A very close game from their first shooters.

Just a point apart!

They're 26 to 27.

Vernon got one more point.

B1A4's Jinyoung!

9 points!

His arrow can shoot through the clouds!

Jun from Seventeen.

- 2 points! - This isn't good!

Jinyoung's second shot.

Hope he doesn't make a mistake.

10 points!

He's not shaken at all!

(Jun's second shot)

- Good! - He got 9 points.

(Jaws dropped)

Yes, he's normally this good.

(Jun is closing the gap without being swayed)

(Jinyoung's last shot)

5 points!

- This makes it difficult to guess! - He's taken aback here.

(Great chance to make up for the loss)

(Please)

- 6 points! - I wish it were higher.

Third archers this time. (CNU of B1A4 vs. Woozi of Seventeen)

(Will it be gold? Or silver?)

(It's in the hands of these two athletes)

It's CNU's turn.

Will he keep the lead?

Or will there be an unexpected turn of events?

(Showing his skill without a flinch)

(I'll catch up!)

9 points!

(Woozi is closing in slowly)

9 points!

9 points.

9 points all throughout, very close game.

The last shots will be by CNU from B1A4 and Vernon of Seventeen.

They must finish well!

Seventeen's ace!

8 points!

That was his last arrow.

This is CNU's last arrow.

The color of their medal may change based on this arrow.

(My team should win the gold medal!)

(Who will take the gold medal?)

Wow, he hits a 10-pointer!

A clean finish!

The fans are so happy, as if they're the ones who won!

B1A4 takes the gold medal!

(Shooting the arrows of love)

Let's move to where the fans are and celebrate together!

(Come!)

The members are going up to where their fans are.

(Here I come!)

(Oh happy day)

(Look at our gold medal!)

(To the fans for whom they are always grateful)

(Here's our gift, the chocolate bars!)

It's like the members are supporting the fans this time.

Yes, we can call it "supporting back."

So the members are in full support of the fans.

(B1A4 with BANA)

(Aerobics)

The male aerobic dance match will begin shortly.

2017 Idol Star Athletics Championships is continuing on.

And here's a new category revealed for the first time this year.

It's a competition for aerobic dance!

Our commentator is the head of Korea Aerobic Association.

She's also a commentator for MBC, Song Young-hee.

- Welcome! - Hello.

It's a brand-new category for this year's Idol Star Championship.

It's very meaningful.

Within the field of aerobics, there's the aerobic dance.

And that's what we'll be seeing today.

There's gonna be much to see!

The teams must include 64-beats of street dance performance.

They can just do a Korean traditional dance if they wanted to?

No.

(How does this make any sense?)

Could you first tell us how they can score well in this category?

The scoring is done based on a variety of categories like artistic points and

execution.

The artistic points are given based on the athlete's music, choreography, and

level of expression.

How well they can perform these acrobatic moves are also counted.

Execution category is based on how accurately they can accomplish the moves.

This is how they can score well.

How they are uniformed and things like that?

Yes, it should look like it's just one person performing.

Being uniformed can give good results for their execution scores.

How long do you think they got to practice?

I believe for about a month and a half.

It was a very intense training.

You'll be able to see the results of their efforts and sweat today.

Let's meet our first team.

(The first-ever aerobic dance competition in Idol Star Athletics Championships)

I heard they practiced so much!

(Who is the first team in this brand-new chapter?)

Teen Top!

(The oldest team in this category)

(We'll show you a symphony-like choreography!)

They'll be dancing to orchestral music.

(Teen Top)

They'll be incorporating movements of orchestral musicians.

(Fitting to be the oldest group)

(As soon as practice begins...)

(They run out of energy)

To smile throughout a dance routine sounds easy, but

it's very difficult because your body is under so much strain.

Yes, it's very demanding on your body.

We'll treat it like our debut and show you a very organized routine.

Aerobics is for Teen Top! Fight on!

(Teen Top: C.A.P, Niel, Ricky, Changjo, Chunji)

They're dressed like a conductor.

It's a orchestra theme.

(The fans are already cheering for them with passion)

They're already famous for their organized choreography.

I look forward to a very dynamic performance.

It's our first time doing this aerobics category.

Let's see it.

(Music: "Hooked on Classics" Theme: An orchestra)

(Main point: Expressing the movements of the musicians)

(Ricky as the conductor)

(Passionate movements to awaken the members)

(A high-level skill to lift)

It's very creative!

That was awesome!

(Overpowering from the get-go)

(Added points for their lifting skill)

Is how they're lined up important?

Yes, being organized is helpful.

They need to line up straight.

They're moving quickly, and must move as if they are one body.

Yes, they need to come off uniformed.

They're connecting to their next moves.

They can't go over the lines.

(Attention!)

This must be the street dance performance time.

(Street dance part)

Being uniformed like this is important, right?

Yes, that's important.

How about their theme? Does their being creative help?

Through a street dance performance like this, it gets the audience's interest

and we can see how creative the team is.

It can tell the story in a much more interesting way.

It's a street dance made up of locking and hip hop dance.

(On to the climax)

It's very refreshing to see an orchestral music used this way.

It feels very high class.

He almost stepped out of the box!

(A great finish without any major mistake)

They showed a lot in 1 minute and 20 seconds.

It was great!

This is what aerobic dance is!

They did some acting in being a conductor.

- Look at their performance! - Like a conductor!

The members lying down expressed the piano keys.

The white and black keys of a piano!

This is the lifting skill they performed.

In this case, they'd receive 0.3 more points from the judges.

I think the street dance part is also very important since it's done

by idol group members.

They're fighting for their pride!

Yes, each team is so different.

Choa from A.O.A is on the field for interviews.

Thank you for the great performance. Weren't you nervous?

We were very nervous since there are so many people in the audience.

And because the judges are so beautiful...

It made us even more nervous.

Obvious words of flattery.

But all the judges are smiling!

Someone clapped I think, because he called them "beautiful."

I'm not sure what to do with that comment.

Because they are the first team, I'm very curious to see what they scored.

I think we can expect a good score.

(The fans are also hopeful)

- 18.45! - First place so far, right?

- Yes, they are. - Isn’t it almost the perfect score?

It's definitely a very high score.

Then the other teams must be in in the 19-point-range to beat them.

It's a very high score, starting from the first team.

- I'm sure the next team feels pressured. - Must be.

Let's meet our next team!

(The youngest team going for championship)

(We'll show you the power of youth!)

(A rebellious challenge from the youngest group)

(Astro)

(Fitting for their average age of 19)

They're great dancers!

Their average age is 19.

Full of energy!

(But!)

(What is this person doing?)

I see that Eun-woo had a hard time.

(A brilliant face, Cha Eun-woo)

(But his dance moves do not go with that face)

(A brand-new student to dance)

Being uniformed is very important, however.

But Eun-woo was very determined to perform well.

So he practiced very diligently.

In the end, he was totally fine.

We'll show that, although we are young in age, our skill is not so little!

- Astro! - Fight on!

You better watch out!

The second team to compete in aerobic dance will enter the stadium.

Astro!

(Astro: Jin Jin, Cha Eun-woo, Moon Bin, Rocky, Yoon San-ha)

They're dressed like the Pirates of the Caribbean!

(But all need to watch out for this good-looking yet stiff one)

Cha Eun-woo was not on par with others in terms of dance skill.

He was a bit stiff in the beginning.

Let's see how they do.

(How well can Eun-woo perform?)

(Their fans are also nervous)

(Music: "Drink Up Me Hearties" Theme: Pirates of the Caribbean)

Main point: Pulling out their swords, locking)

(Shall we dance?)

(Wave-like acrobatic moves)

They're expressing the sea waves, right?

Yes, that was a very high-level acrobatic skill.

They are very uniformed in this routine!

(Fast yet together)

They're really moving like it's done by one person!

It's like that video game where you follow a character among many similar ones.

It's just like it!

Oh, you know that game too?

You can tell how much they practiced.

Eun-woo's doing great, isn't he?

Yes, there's not a stiff member here!

(An amazing improvement)

(In complete uniformity as if each movement is measured)

Look at that excitement!

Astro came up with their own choreography for this part.

They made it themselves!

How amazing!

(The five pirates with nothing to be afraid of)

(Sailing smoothly in calm wind)

Look at that energy!

Overflowing with power!

They're no joke!

It's like these pirates have already found their treasure!

(Expressing a sword fight)

There's no one stiff here!

Their movements show much charisma, as well as being uniformed.

They'll get through any tough waves!

(A perfect finish)

(How cute!)

There were some cheer leading movements there too.

They were more cinematic than the movie itself!

Who said Cha Eun-woo is a stiff dancer?

He was just said to be the one with weaker dance skills.

He's improved so much!

He's worked very hard for it.

It was an amazing amount of effort.

(Opening up the stage with acrobatic movements)

It's a very high-level skill.

- Possible for a high score? - Yes.

How uniform were they?

They were fantastic!

They were so great.

- Like they're one body! - Drawing out their swords...

All their moves were like in a movie.

It's a great dance group, Astro.

When they went on to the street dance part...

And they made these moves themselves?

So a big pointer for their creativity, right?

Their attire was well-fitted for the theme.

They can also score well for it.

What if they were those clothes once again for a TV music program?

(Maybe they can be on "Show! Music Core" with that uniform)

I'd give 10 out of 10 for their artistic score.

(10 out of 10!)

I believe it was on the level of a global competition.

- Aren't you being too generous? - Not at all! They were that good.

I've been an international referee for 25 years.

- You think they can win the gold medal? - Yes, I believe so.

(We love you, Commentator!)

I have a question for you, Eun-woo.

I heard you're the most stiff member in the team.

But you seemed so flexible out there!

Is this the result of your practice?

My fellow members helped me a lot.

And our coach helped me so much.

I was able to finish the performance in a fun way.

What can we expect to be their score?

I think the perfect score for the artistic points.

For execution maybe... 9.6?

So 19.6 total? They'll beat Teen Top!

But because Teen Top's score was so high from the get-go,

we're waiting to see what will happen.

Will Astro beat Teen Top and take first place?

I'm expecting a great result.

Now, let's see Astro's score!

19.10!

You were right on the spot!

(The fans are in a festive mode)

The commentator's guess was off only by 0.4 points.

(She's much more accurate than him)

Astro is now leading.

Ah, they lost some points because he stepped out of the line.

Oh, that's what happened.

Let's meet our next team.

(Flashy and powerful performance)

It's a Michael Jackson song!

Snuper!

They're great dancers.

(Re-interpreting Michael Jackson in Snuper's own style)

(A fantastic collaboration between aerobics and Michael Jackson)

(The new comers are not hesitant to risk their bodies)

We'll shine this new year of 2017 with a gold medal!

We're not Snoopy, but we're Snuper!

(Snuper, not Snoopy)

The third aerobics team enters.

(Snuper: Woosung, Taewoong, Sangil, Sangho, Sebin)

(Even a foreign fan cheers for them)

(It's like an international competition)

They got some great costumes!

Woosung, who's won the 60-meter-dash, took dance lessons before.

It'll be advantageous for him.

He's known for great body lines when dancing.

(Now an eternal legend...)

(Michael Jackson's signature pose)

(Theme: Michael Jackson Main point: Moonwalk, hip-dance)

(His signature dance move! Hip-dance)

(Utilizing Michael Jackson's dance moves creatively)

(Lifting!)

(Much to see from the beginning)

Here they go!

(Spinning sides doing cartwheel)

That's a tuck jump.

Many skills are being displayed.

(The music changes in variety)

It's a great way to remix!

Yes, it's a Michael Jackson medley!

It's "Dangerous."

I feel like I'm watching a Michael Jackson performance, full of passion and energy.

Now onto the street dance portion!

(Exciting!)

(Locking dance with excitement)

(More than just a competition)

(The aerobic dance makes the whole event into a festival)

(Now onto "Beat It")

Another variation!

(Acrobatic with the moonwalk!)

(It's like a Michael Jackson concert)

(Their fans are from all over the globe)

They need to watch out for the lines!

(Starting with Michael Jackson)

(And finishing with Michael Jackson)

(Full of dynamics and excitement)

Their performance was really filled with energy.

(Like the end of a Michael Jackson world tour)

Could you explain these moves for us?

It's a hip-dance.

I was hoping for some professional explanation.

This is a lift, or lifting.

This type of move can bring many mistakes, but they didn't make any.

Their uniforms look amazing too!

(So proud)

Astro is at the current number one spot.

Their score is 19.10.

It's a very high score.

(Will they able to beat Astro?)

18.80!

Now they are second place.

18.80 is an incredibly high score!

But Astro gave just that great of a performance.

So Snuper is number two.

Who's the next team? Let's see it!

(B.A.P's fierce performance, "Kung Fu")

(So fun!)

(On stage, they are manly and charismatic)

(In exact angles)

Great!

(In a great mood)

B.A.P is already famous for their dance.

(This is Kung FU)

We're competing against many newer teams but we'll show our skill

through experience.

(B.A.P's Kung Fu: Fight on!)

The fourth team will now enter.

(B.A.P: Him-chan, Dae-hyun, Young-jae, Jong-up, Zelo)

Look at their costumes!

(They enter dressed for Kung Fu)

It seems like the theme of their performance is Kung Fu.

It's fun just looking at their costumes.

They're like the Shaolin monks.

(Happy with their Shaolin idol members)

Like zombies?

(Starting in Kung Fu stands)

(Having a concert at the Shaolin Temple)

(Music: "Kung-fu Fighting" Theme: Kung Fu)

(Main point: Various Kung Fu moves)

(Kung Fu Fighting!)

(Adding Kung Fu moves to their dance routine)

(Their performance is so powerful because of it)

- Round off. - Do these moves give additional points?

Yes, they can get more points for the artistic score.

(Every move feels like Shaolin Kung Fu move)

(An acrobatic performance)

Shows great teamwork between the members.

(Fun and exciting performance)

(The Crane move)

(Gathering all energy...)

A palm blast!

(Clever and witty structure)

Now for the street dance part!

(B.A.P is known for their break dance moves)

(Light and quick movements)

(Changing through themes from Kung Fu to b-boying)

(Get ready!)

(Windmill!)

Here comes windmill!

(Shocked)

(A harmonious combination of Kung Fu and aerobics)

(After the short minute and half)

(It feels like we've read an entire Kung Fu story)

They had some acrobatic movements,

and shooting palm blasts.

- They fall backwards! - How fun!

- There's much to see! - Windmill!

That was so awesome!

Look at their kicks!

- So amazing! - They can go to Shaolin Temple now!

I feel like I'm in China.

- What? - Of course not.

(Too much)

(Saying hello in Chinese)

(Wo Ai Ni!)

Astro is still at the top spot.

Their score is 19.10.

What high will B.A.P's score be?

I think maybe third place...

(Commentator Song has been right on the dot so far)

They're even praying!

What's B.A.P's score?

18.60!

(Number three as the commentator suggested!)

Yes, they're third place!

You've got a great sense for this!

Astro is still at number one.

Second place is Snuper with 18.80.

We have two teams remaining.

Will they beat Astro's record?

Let's see the next team!

(The tallest contenders)

(There is nothing that's impossible!)

Is that Iron Man?

(So tall)

(With the average height of 6')

(They are stiff like a log)

Ah, more stiff than we thought.

They are a lot taller than others, at 6 feet.

Not so uniformed either.

We KNK have put in a lot of effort!

Effort never betrays!

Fire!

(KNK: Seung-jun, You-jin, Ji-hun, In-seong, Hee-jun)

They're at a physical disadvantage for aerobics.

It's hard for them to be quick if they're so tall.

They are very tall.

Are they Ultra Man?

Iron Man!

That's so old school!

Sorry, I am much older.

I can't even imagine being that tall!

It's like two of you, Lee Soo-geun.

(Staring)

They're very tall!

Their average height is at 6 feet.

(Their long arms and legs make their moves look cool)

(Music: "The Avengers" Theme: Iron Man)

(Main point: Palm missiles, Repulsor beam)

(Huge and exhilarating moves!)

They're very uniformed!

They put in a tremendous amount of effort.

Probably the most among all the teams.

Their long arms make them look great!

They're looking very good.

(Exhilarating and powerful moves with their long arms and legs)

(Moving on to street dance)

Street dance, right?

(As a result of their effort for the past month and a half)

(They are smooth, no longer stiff!)

(Stepping forward)

(Taking over the stage with their long legs)

(Swing!)

(A tall cartwheel)

(Just a few steps taken)

(And they move from one end to another)

(A great usage of the stage)

(Finish by shooting beams from their chests)

With five Iron Men, there's nothing they can't protect!

They did a great job, and it's due to their amount of practice.

They looked great, especially because of their height.

Big movements!

Look how long they are!

You can explain when they use specific skills.

I've never seen such good-looking Iron Men.

I was asking about their skills...

Don't be so happy about how good-looking they are.

(Blank)

Excuse me, their aerobic skills...

The commentator is quite taken by them!

She must like tall guys.

(Replay that just makes you watch)

She can't even say a single word!

That's a perfect execution.

Requires a lot of stamina and flexibility.

She continues to smile as she explains.

You're watching them as if you're at a movie theater.

I thought you were watching a TV drama.

(The charming Iron Men)

You smiled even more for this particular performance.

I have a great appreciation for them because I know how hard they worked.

I saw them sweat over their practices myself.

I really wanted them to do well.

Your name stands for "Big and Big," and you guys average at 6 feet in height.

Were there times it wasn't so comfortable being tall?

It's hard to do quick dance moves to a fast song.

(Understands)

Because your limbs are longer... They take longer, too.

I'm not quite sure if that's the reason, but we went through some tough times.

(Teary-eyed)

Will the five Iron Men beat Astro's score?

Let's see the score!

18.70!

They are now in third place!

Third place team changes!

Now it's the last team.

- Already? - Yes.

Let's see if they can change things around in the end. Let's see them!

(Dancers with great level of skill!)

(With a Transformer theme)

- Transformer? - Yes.

(The new and strong contenders of flashy group performances)

(Seventeen)

(Performing at a higher level than professional aerobic athletes)

(The best of the flashy performances)

They're already very famous for their stage performances.

(A strong contender for championship!)

We won't be so concerned over ranking.

We'll just show you how hard we've practiced.

We thank you for your encouragement.

Shake up the Idol Athletics Championships!

The sixth team for the aerobic dance category will now enter.

Seventeen!

(Seventeen: Hoshi, Jun, The 8, DK, Dino)

I'm very curious to see how they'll express this theme.

Robots, right?

Oh, Transformers!

(Music: "Get Smashed Gate Crash" Theme: Transformers)

(Main points: Joining dance, lifting, acrobatics)

(The only team that can beat Astro)

Transforming robot!

(Like this, like this!)

(Sweeping acrobatic moves!)

Many acrobatic moves!

It seems like the most dynamic and powerful performance of all!

- It's very exciting. - Full of energy.

Watch out for the lines!

(Overflowing with power)

They're like a real Transformer!

(The robotic spider walk)

(What is that?)

(Creative ideas)

(And unique movements)

(A jaw-dropping performance)

(The high point of acrobatics)

(Amazed)

(Full of energy and life!)

(Shall we start?)

(Seventeen really prepared a lot for this event)

The members made this routine themselves.

(Charismatic facial expressions)

(Their dynamic energy overflows out of them)

How powerful!

(Seventeen is taking over the stage)

Now they're back!

(So much to see here)

(Absolutely overpowering in technical skills)

(Standing ovation)

They really looked like robots moving in sync!

(Deserving to be gold medalists)

(The members tear up)

They don't lack in skill even compared to actual aerobic athletes.

This was my favorite part!

(Everyone's trying it out)

It's really great teamwork they showed.

They're truly amazing.

(Amazing!)

They had a great balance.

Great design of performance.

The spider walk!

(Twice is trying it out for 10 minutes)

(The 8, flying in the air with ease)

They did many acrobatic moves.

Just what do they lack in?

Flying in the air like a bird!

(Acrobatic experts)

They're really amazing.

I think the director for Transformer would really enjoy this.

Members of Seventeen!

I think you had the most difficult and flashy dance moves.

The 8 is really good with break dancing.

So he led most of the moves throughout the performance.

We have to see it in person then!

We don't really have to...

(The 8 starts his engine)

(Golden windmill)

Golden windmill!

(Making others get carsick)

(He's great!)

Seventeen gave a perfect performance in skill and presentation.

It's hard to guess the outcome.

I think Astro was great in artistic points like being uniformed.

But Seventeen was great in overall skill and energy.

They excelled in those parts.

It's hard to say who was better.

It comes down to skill vs. artistic ability.

Astro was strong in their artistic presentation,

and Seventeen was strong in their technical abilities.

If you can try to guess with caution?

I thought Seventeen was great.

(She goes for Seventeen)

You think Seventeen is ahead by a little margin?

What do you think?

For me, I remember Astro's performance being very powerful and energetic.

Cha Eun-woo is especially happy since he's no longer stiff.

(So happy!)

19.10 is a very high score!

Yes, and will Seventeen beat it?

(The rivals of the century)

The fans are in a cheer battle too!

(How interesting!)

(Astro fans' seating is next to Seventeen fans)

(The members watch nervously)

(Same from both sides)

(The fans are also nervous to watch)

First place for the aerobic dance match!

Whom will it be?

(Seventeen vs. Astro)

(What is the result?)

19.10!

They're tide for first place!

(Tied at 19.10)

They are tied!

(What is happening?)

Astro had 19.10, and Seventeen just scored 19.10 also!

Do they both win then?

No, in a case like this, the one with higher execution points wins.

The team with higher points in execution wins?

Yes, it's true.

(The execution points are made up of uniformity and skill level)

Accuracy in movements and uniformity count the most in execution.

Execution comes first before artistic points.

Then we need to check for those points.

Which team had a higher score?

Was it Astro?

They did have a high score.

Seventeen's execution score is 9.30.

What about Astro?

(They can be the first-ever champions of aerobic dance!)

9.45!

Astro wins!

This is the official rule, right?

Yes, it is.

Seventeen did have many difficult skills.

Because of that there were a few missed points due to mistakes.

While they were skilled, they had some small mistakes.

It's bound to happen as the moves get more difficult.

(Uniformity counts the most in execution score)

(Astro was great in being uniform)

They took first place with much effort, and kept it until the end!

Congratulations, Astro!

(A huge heart for the fans)

We love you!

(Astro's fan club "AROHA" is deeply moved)

(A joyful ceremony with their fans)

Astro, to your fans!

(We've been waiting!)

They are running towards their fans.

They must be so happy!

It's a scene you can only see in Idol Star Athletic Championships.

(Taking a selfie together)

(With the thankful fans who cried and laughed together with Astro)

(Commemorating winning the gold medal in aerobic dance)

(January of 2017, Astro with AROHA)

(2017 Idol Star Athletics Championships)

The last category of 400-meter relay race will begin.

A relay race is usually the final game in a track and field meet like this.

It's the flower of track and field!

It's true. And the gold medal is determined by just this one race.

Now show us what we should watch for in this race!

(Main things to watch for in the female 400 meters relay race)

(Who will win in this rematch?)

It's because they're the same teams from the last year!

It's true, and Oh My Girl won gold last year.

So they're gearing up to win 2 consecutive medals.

They added one more member for GFriend, and two for Twice.

But for EXID, Solji is not in this race, though she's their ace.

Reporter Geun is on the field!

Yes, this is Reporter Geun!

I'll meet the 4 teams who'll be competing in this race.

You are the defending champions, right?

You won last Chuseok, right?

They've been doing great!

How do you feel today?

I feel great because I trust my fellow members.

(We believe in you too!)

Next, Twice!

But no other team considers them a strong contender.

First place in being not so dangerous.

You can look forward to this race though.

Really?

They did change two members for this race.

Momo, you haven't been in any race, but you came on the relay?

She's our hidden card!

We were last place last time because of Sana's way of running.

So we changed our athlete to Momo.

(Embarrassed)

So a better result today because of Momo, right?

Must be better than Sana.

I'll introduce you the athletes for the female 400-meter relay race.

Lane 1: EXID.

(Hani, LE, Hyelin, Jeong-hwa)

Lane 2: GFriend.

(Sowon, SinB, Yerin, Yuju)

Sowon, for the first time this year.

Lane 3: Twice.

(Chaeyoung, Nayeon, Momo, Jeongyeon)

Lane 4: Oh My Girl.

(HyoJung, JiHo, YooA, Binnie)

In your positions!

The most intense moment right now.

Even more so that it's just a one-time race.

Hani looks nervous.

(Hm?)

An athlete is calling over the referee.

Lane 3, she needs to tie her shoe laces.

Chaeyoung is even taping her shoes around!

You can see how much she wants to win.

They're determined to win a medal this time.

In your positions!

(The first runners are always more nervous)

Now we're about to start.

They shouldn't get so nervous though.

(Also nervous)

(The last chance and winning gold!)

They take off!

They must run within their lanes.

The first runners, yes.

Can't go over your lane.

Chaeyoung takes off!

Chaeyoung of Twice!

(EXID's Hani catches up with fierce speed)

- It's a great race! - Chaeyoung and Hani head to head!

(Twice and EXID hand over batons at the same time)

GFriend is falling behind.

(EXID's LE is slightly ahead)

They're getting inside.

(At that moment!)

(Oh My Girl's Jiho catches up with incredible speed)

Will she lose her lead?

(The third runners take the batons)

(Swoosh)

Oh My Girl is in the lead!

She's so fast!

What's Hyelin doing?

- Look at her form! - She's so cute!

(Oh My Girl is running at great pace)

(Oh My Girl's last runner takes off)

(Alone in the lead)

She just has to not trip!

Gold medal, Oh My Girl!

(A fierce battle over second place)

(Oh My Girl wins the gold!)

(Who will win the silver medal?)

(EXID's Jeonghwa came in first)

With a slight edge!

Silver to bronze.

This is where Oh My Girl just took off.

YooA was so fast!

In the meanwhile, Hyelin runs like she's doing the twist.

What a special way to run!

(Oh My Girl wins gold, two consecutive wins in this race!)

This is Oh My Girl's second gold in this race.

They're picking up where Sistar left off.

They really excel in this.

(A joyful ceremony with their fans)

(The fans never got to see them so up close and personal)

(They're now in front of the fans' eyes!)

(Fan club Miracle shared Oh My Girl's joy of victory)

(The stars and the fans create together)

(This miracle of Idol Star Athletics Championships)

(Commemorating the second win in 400-meter relay)

(January of 2017, Oh My Girl with Miracle)

(Track and field)

Now it's the last race of the day.

Let's take a look at what we should watch for in the male 400-meter relay race.

Things to watch for, cue!

Will BTS win their 4th gold medal in this race?

So this is for BTS.

They're going for their 4th gold!

If they win gold medal today,

they'll be the first group to win 4 times after Sistar.

What a record!

They're the absolute best!

Any other team to watch for?

Yes, of course.

B.A.P has won two silvers and one bronze.

They just never won gold before.

I expect a great result from them today.

VIXX also has Hongbin, their ace.

Yes, he's fast.

Seventeen had also won the silver medal here before.

They've all won medals before!

Rap Monster is the first to run.

How he does now will determine the fate of BTS, whether or not they will win

their 4th gold medal in this race.

He's a huge factor.

The eternal favorite for championship!

BTS!

There's a song that goes, "Nothing is ever eternal."

What do you think?

We'll do our best so we can be the eternal champions.

So you're confident?

Yes.

Then how about for VIXX?

What do you think?

We've never actually finished the race in a normal way.

Someone would trip, or we missed the baton.

You think you can win as long as you don't drop the baton?

Yes, it's possible.

They said they can compete with BTS as long as VIXX does not drop the baton or trip!

That's the spirit!

Next, Seventeen!

(Physical strength built with years of organized choreography)

Do you think you can stop BTS' winning streak?

More than stopping anyone, we'll focus on improving our own records.

Understood, hope you do great!

Can any team stop BTS' winning streak?

In your positions!

Today's Idol Star Athletic Championship ends with these four rounds.

Yes, that's true.

How they'll feel as they return home depends on this moment.

(The fans quiet down)

It's a great start!

They must stay within their lanes for this round.

(BTS' Jungkook pops out!)

It's Jungkook!

(Jungkook hands over the baton)

(The second runner starts)

Now everyone can run in the inner lane.

J-Hope of BTS is in the lead!

But J-Hope is getting caught up!

It's true!

Seventeen!

Rap Monster takes the baton for BTS!

(The third runners start)

(Rap Monster's speed is revealed)

(I'll run on the side)

He lost the lead.

(Too nice for him to give up the lead)

Rap Monster...

He ran in the outer lane.

Seventeen is in the lead!

(The last runners)

Seventeen in first place!

But VIXX is not too far behind!

The last runners! Full speed!

They need to be faster!

Will Seventeen finish first?

(Right before passing him up)

(Leo of VIXX trips)

(We've finally beat BTS!)

Seventeen becomes the unexpected gold medalists!

What a twist!

BTS' winning streak ends here.

It was Rap Monster's first time running this race.

He made a mistake when he took the corner.

- Right here. - He steps out.

(He couldn't control his speed and stepped to the outer lane)

He dodged the person behind and ran to the outer lane.

This is when the order changed.

There he is.

And Leo of VIXX trips.

Then Suga came in second.

S.Coups of Seventeen finishes first!

(The 400-meter relay race: 1: Seventeen 2: BTS 3: VIXX)

Seventeen wins the gold!

Congratulations!

(A golden finale with their fans)

The members of Seventeen are running towards their fans.

(With the passionate cheer from their fans)

(Seventeen replies with high fives)

(Seventeen and Carat now share the same memory)

(Precious Carat, strengthening Seventeen)

(Commemorating the gold medal in 400-meter relay race)

(January of 2017, Seventeen with Carat)
