He keeps trying to call his mom and getting her voicemail.

>> Brooke: Do you think he knows?

>> Ridge: [ Sighs ] >> Brooke: I mean, do you think

Taylor told him about shooting Bill?

>> Ridge: No, I dont think he knows.

And I dont think anybody else needs to know.

>> Brooke: Youre still very protective of Taylor.

>> Ridge: Yeah. You know why.

>> Brooke: Shes the mother of your children.

>> Ridge: Yeah, but its -- its more than that.

Were connected, you know?

[ Sighs ] A horrible thing happened.

And Taylors working through it.

Shes remorseful.

And I think we just need to find a way to let it go.

Im still really having a hard time processing it.

I-I felt like I had no choice.

And, look, Im -- Im not saying that she would do to my mom

what she did to Bill, its just, knowing what shes capable of,

dont you think we all have reason to be concerned?

I -- I hate being suspicious of Taylor.

But if Bill had died, Taylor would have committed murder,

and as it is, she could still go to prison for shooting him.

Believe me, I have doubts, too.

But Im just...

trying to remind myself that, "A," she knows that what she did

was terribly wrong.

"B," shes -- shes getting help.

Shes getting professional help.

And, "C," this time, there are -- there are people

who love and support her that are gonna keep her in check.

>> Hope: And yet she is still incredibly fragile.

As we saw firsthand.

So did my mom.

And if she were to backslide again...

who knows what could happen?

there to be some peace.

>> Ridge: But you keep saying things about Taylor, but she --

shes a loving, a kind grandmother, and to think that

she would do anything to that little kid is just ridiculous.

>> Brooke: I dont want to believe that she could,

But she does have some deep-seated issues.

And I know that shes working on them, and I pray that

everythings gonna be okay, but what if she snaps?

If she does, Im sure that you dont want Kelly

anywhere near her.

>> Sally: We just had to grab another quick peek at Kelly

before we left.

>> Steffy: How is she?

>> Wyatt: Oh, my adorable niece is sleeping

like the angel she is.

>> Steffy: [ Chuckles ] >> Sally: I want one

just like her someday.

>> Wyatt: Hmm.

>> Steffy: [ Gasps ] Did you hear that?

Your lady wants a baby.

my own issues with alcohol, so I understand.

But what if something sets her off again?

What is she gonna do when she feels like

shes losing control?

Is she gonna reach for that drink?

Or, God forbid, could she take it even further?

>> Liam: Believe me, I hear what youre saying,

and I agree that we need to be super vigilant where Kelly

and our baby is concerned.

But I -- I also think that we have

an obligation to -- to put this in perspective.

intensive therapy, Taylor is still not herself.

I keep trying to get Ridge to see his ex-wife realistically,

but he keeps wanting to defend her.

>> Hope: Well, I mean, maybe hes defending her because he

feels partially responsible.

I mean, he did call her in Paris and tell her about Steffy

and Bill.

>> Brooke: But Taylor went off the deep end, so thats on her,

not on him.

And her behavior, it remains erratic.

[ Sighs ] I dont know.

I dont trust her.

I mean, I think that shes really unstable,

and shes potentially dangerous.

I should have fought harder to keep our family together.

and your brother, to give you the kind of family that you

deserved.

But when your father left...

I dont hate you for it, Ridge, but you werent always there for

our kids, just like Liam wont always be there for Kelly.

[ Sniffles ] Maybe Im partly to blame.

>> Hope: I cant imagine Taylor took it well when you told her

inextricably tied to her.

Puts us both in a very difficult position.

[ Sighing ] Well, I am beginning to understand

just how difficult when I talked to Liam earlier.

I -- Im not trying to attack Taylor,

but I have concerns.

>> Brooke: Oh, honey, I know that.

Of course you do.

But you know what?

You have to think about your baby.

You have to think about yourself.

You cant feel guilty for taking care of the two of you.

>> Hope: [ Sighs ] Well, I mean, how did you

leave things with Taylor?

>> Brooke: Oh. [ Sighs ] Well, I agreed not to

say anything, and keep what she did to myself.

But if I see any strange behavior, if I see anything

wacky, I will not hesitate to protect the people that I love.

Especially you, sweetheart.

And my precious little grandbaby.

I was confident in who I am.

I advised and I counseled others.

I took pride in my professional accomplishments.

What happened to that woman?

Huh. Maybe Brooke is right.

I cant get my bearings, and my emotions are

all over the place.

I know youre worried.

I just dont know what happened in my life, Ridge.

I dont know how I got to this point.

>> Ridge: Youve had a lot of challenges, and you always

made it through.

it through this, as well.

Many people have.

But that doesnt justify picking up a gun and shooting Bill.

Dont do that to yourself, all right?

You got to remember who you are.

Youre a beautiful, kind woman.

A loving mother, a caring grandmother.
