(Episode 21)

This is how it feels.

It's great.

Today was very fun, wasn't it?

Yes.

I'll see you as Detective Chae Do Jin next time, right?

Nak Won.

Hello, Jong Hyun.

Do Jin.

Don't come to work tomorrow.

What?

It's Reporter Park Hee Young.

She broadcasted your relationship to Yoon Hui Jae.

The event that happened...

The situation is bad.

Han Jae Yi's scandal...

and Yoon Hui Jae's attacking Park Hee Young made things worse.

(Mr. Pyo Taek)

Jae Yi, are you with the detective?

The story of Yoon Hui Jae and the detective was broadcasted.

("Is Psychopathy Hereditary?")

Na Moo.

I'm sorry.

It's because of work.

Let's go.

It's safe.

We increased the security.

I'll have bodyguards during public events.

Na Moo.

You told me that you were scared.

I feel the same way.

So...

don't get hurt.

I won't get sick.

I won't get hurt either.

So...

Goodbye, Na Moo.

It'll pass again.

It must pass.

It's for both you and her.

That's the right thing to do.

(To: Gil Nak Won 59-3, Hyunyi-dong, Gangnam-gu)

When that happens, come to me.

When it gets too tough and tiring,

just come to me.

No matter what happens and no matter what it is,

I'll still like you for the rest of my life.

(Dear Ms. Gil Nak Won)

Dear Ms. Gil Nak Won.

Nak Won, are you well?

Until the moment they died,

your parents kept on calling your name.

Your parents loved you so dearly.

I, Yoon Hui Jae, crushed your family.

You should live well...

to flaunt to me.

(Gil Nak Won)

I'm sorry...

for liking you.

Whenever...

and however...

you need me,

use me.

If you get sick of me after that,

you can just throw me out.

Na Moo.

You told me...

to come to you...

when it gets too tough and tiring, right?

It's...

too tough for me.

It hurts to see you,

but when I try not to,

it drives me crazy.

I know it doesn't make sense.

I know it'll only get worse.

That's why what I'll say now...

will be crazy of me to say.

But...

But I can't stand it anymore.

I like you.

I like you, Nak Won.

I really like you.

I like you a lot.

I like you so much that it's driving me crazy.

I like you more than myself.

I...

like you too.

I know...

I'm crazy too.

But I don't care.

I like you, Na Moo.

I really...

like you a lot.

That's why...

even if we might drift apart for a while,

we won't ever be apart forever.

Na Moo.

From now on, if you ever...

feel guilty while being with me,

just apologize.

Whenever you feel sorry,

I'll tell you it's okay.

I'll tell you it's totally fine...

and that I like you too.

I'll tell you over and over again.

I like you, Na Moo.

I like you a lot.

Me too.

(2016 Genuine Journalist Award Grand Prize)

(Boiled pork slices)

Open the door.

If you're in there, open the door!

Hyun Moo!

Hey.

Where have you been all this time?

Look who's talking.

- What? - Everyone else is gone.

Why do you always work so late? How much more do you want to earn?

Are you not scared of anything?

Were you watching all this time?

Where have you been all this time?

You were so cruel to your brother.

Weren't you worried?

He's still alive, so who cares?

You should turn yourself in.

Let's come clean and pay your dues.

Hyun Moo.

Your mom will wait for you again.

I won't go anywhere.

So...

Turn myself in?

Listen carefully.

Tell the police that I was here, okay?

What?

Then all the police will stake out here for a while.

Or you can temporarily close the store.

What's the matter?

What happened this time?

Anyway,

- tell So Jin to also... - Yes.

I'm at Do Jin's mother's restaurant.

Or stay close to him at least.

- Okay. - Got it?

Are you all right? Wasn't that Yoon Hyun Moo?

Did he hurt you?

No.

It's not that.

He was worried about me.

What?

(Ministry of Justice)

About Detective Chae,

was he extra violent or anything when apprehending criminals?

He was known for being weird.

Not blinking at all when a blade was being wielded.

That's just nonsense.

Could you do that?

With a crazy background like his...

Aren't psychopathic tendencies hereditary?

Can you get out of here...

before I lock you up for obstruction?

Come on. A 16-year-old middle school student...

tried to kill his serial killer father.

I find that quite extraordinary.

Why did you come so quickly? I said to take a break.

I'm fine.

Are you okay?

Of course, I am. Are you?

I'm fine.

You did well...

all on your own.

So did you.

Detective Chae. Did you see Park Hee Young's program?

Is it true?

If not, you should sue her.

Must I answer?

You denied last time that you were dating Han Jae Yi.

People are slagging her off online,

calling her sick in the head.

Are you dating her?

Jae Yi must know what happened that night.

It's a fact that that is why you two are still close.

I think Park Hee Young got that much right.

What exactly happened that night?

I'm curious.

It's been three years since we met at the academy.

It seems that Hee Young bothered you a lot ever since.

Let's try and work together.

You're no longer a young kid full of foolish passion and justice.

Are you reporters that bored?

It's like you were really waiting for me.

Did you people...

need a statement from me anyway?

Write whatever you want.

If you're done, get out so we can get some work done too.

Go on. Thanks a lot.

- Get out. Out. - Let's go.

Han Jae Yi.

Are you okay with such a small role?

You used to play the lead.

Yes. I like the script and the role.

If you cast me, I'll work hard.

Then would you like to...

read a few lines?

Do you have to make her...

Yes, I'll do it.

Give her a script.

"I bet everything I have on this."

"I can't live without you, Mom."

"Mom, does that mean I'm your daughter again?"

"I won't see Joon Young again,"

"so don't be hard on me or throw me out."

"Will you promise?"

That was pretty good.

- You nailed the emotions. - Thank you.

I thought you wouldn't be able to do it.

- Pardon? - The character's parents...

disapprove of the guy she's dating, so I thought you wouldn't...

be able to portray someone like that.

- Right? - Director.

Is that rumor true?

Your scandal is quite shocking.

- No. - Right?

They went way too far. People can be vicious.

It's not...

a scandal.

- Pardon? - Thanks a lot.

I'd like to go now.

You're way too cheerful...

and way too honest.

You can't just admit everything like that.

Photos are all over the internet anyway.

Na Moo and I don't want to lie, and we don't care.

I just have to work hard.

It sounds so ideal.

Jae Yi, did you two get up to something fun?

Fun? Like what? When was I ever not like this?

"Do Jin Gam Rae".

That's the phrase people coined for your relationship.

Do Jin? "Do Jin Gam Rae".

That's right.

Why are you so extremely positive?

When was I not like this?

On the hammer found in the garage,

we found the first victim's blood and Yoon Hyun Moo's prints and DNA.

On the hammer sent to Han Jae Yi,

we only found the second victim's blood.

If the second hammer belongs to Lee Seung Woo,

he's much more meticulous and aggressive than Yoon Hyun Moo.

The injuries on the 2nd and 3rd victims are the same,

and there were no signs of hesitation.

On the lighting equipment or Han Jae Yi's set,

we never found any prints.

Yoon Hyun Moo and Lee Seung Woo have different MOs,

and we asked around and found nothing in common.

Those two...

aren't accomplices.

Nak Won. Was that really you?

- Don't you see? - What about the song?

How did you hear it?

Then Lee Seung Woo...

will have heard about the carol from Yoon Hui Jae.

Check inmates in their 20s released from Euigang Prison...

who had contact with Yoon Hui Jae...

or showed antisocial tendencies in the psychological test.

Check people who are into assault and intellectual crimes too.

Okay.

His watch and belongings were expensive luxury brands.

He'd at least be from a middle-class family and lived in the area...

long enough to know where the security cameras are.

Okay.

I'm sorry...

that I can't help in person.

I'll help identify him after work hours if you need help.

I thought...

I'd never get to talk to you again.

So...

I'm okay with...

everything else.

Our boss went to the prosecutors' office.

Everyone from Gowon Station who were on the case then...

are being investigated in secret.

(Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office)

(Ministry of Justice)

("Is Psychopathy Hereditary?")

(Yoon Hui Jae-Park Hee Young Assault)

(Summary of the Case)

Mr. Gil.

It's time to interview Yoon Hui Jae.

Okay.

Can you not yet reach Park Hee Young?

No. She wouldn't ignore her calls.

I'll call her again.

This person...

has the same height and gait as the residential area killer.

Based on video tapes, I don't think he's Yoon Hyun Moo's accomplice.

Connect him to Yoon Hui Jae.

- Okay. - One more thing.

Yoon Hui Jae's followers created a website in 2007.

Check the members.

Yes, sir.

(Yoon Hui Jae-Park Hee Young Assault)

(Gil Moo Won)

Mr. Yoon Hui Jae.

I'll proceed the investigation regarding...

- the assault of Park Hee Young. - "Gil"?

It's not a common last name.

I think...

we've met.

On the 28th, at 3:10pm...

in the visitor's room at Euigang Prison,

you strangled Park Hee Young and threatened her.

Did I see you in the courtroom?

You were with your sister.

Now, I remember.

Are you Gil Nak Won's older brother?

Speaking of which,

Hee Young talked about you on her show, didn't she?

Just answer my questions.

Jee Hye Won...

is your adoptive mother, right?

Gosh.

You turned out well.

Both your adoptive parents...

and your biological parents...

must be proud of you.

Parents' biggest happiness is their children's success.

Do you agree that you assaulted Park Hee Young?

- If you do... - You were quite lucky that day.

You came late.

What do you want, Yoon Hui Jae?

You lost your parents in a violent crime.

You lost your second parents because of me.

I felt terrible while watching the program.

It was very tragic.

How about yourself?

You were tricked while trying to kill your son.

Isn't that more tragic?

Everything about that night is true.

Yoon Na Moo.

He's not like you.

He's definitely your son,

but he tried to kill you.

He detests you.

You're invincible.

However,

you were tricked by your own 16-year-old son.

I feel bad for you.

Is it because you don't have any children?

You don't seem to know.

What kind of parents and their children would do that?

You're a monster.

You're not a parent.

It's better to have a parent than not.

You know what?

Wherever you were,

things were ruined.

What about the third time?

What else will you lose that's precious to you?

Aren't you afraid?

- What? - Don't you love your sister?

Why did you let her near my son?

Does Na Moo hate me?

Not at all.

It's Na Moo.

He takes after me the most.

I guess you don't care.

What will my son...

do to your sister?

- Shut it. - Who will be the third person?

Will it be that pretty sister of yours?

Gil Nak Won.

Yoon Hui Jae!

Stand up!

If you touch my sister, I'll kill you. Understand?

Sir, please let him go.

If you do anything to my sister, I'll kill you.

I'll also kill Yoon Na Moo!

Gil Moo Won.

I don't think you should stay near your sister either.

Sir, Reporter Park Hee Young was killed last night.

It's on the news.

(Prosecution Service)

(Episode 22)

Senior Inspector Ko.

Do Jin.

Why are you here?

- I told you to take a break. - It's about that report.

Did you discard it because of me?

I modified an official document.

I know I don't have the right to be a police officer.

I still don't regret it.

I didn't lie about any criminal records.

People blamed you for being a psychopath's son.

I didn't want to hear any of that.

But everything was revealed because of Park Hee Young.

I'm sorry.

It's okay.

You know what?

If I didn't meet you and your mother back then,

I probably would've quit this job a long time ago.

Sir.

Take me to the detention center.

No, Na Moo.

Don't go.

During my police career,

I was disappointed by people.

That's when I met you.

So don't apologize.

Na Moo.

Come on, I've lived for a long time.

You're a monster.

Why are you my father?

Why?

Sit down, Yoon Hui Jae.

Sit down now.

(Emergency Transportation)

Hello, Jong Hyun.

Reporter Park Hee Young was murdered.

It was at her home last night.

What?

I'll send you the address, so come.

Come before the reporters arrive.

There are two sets of footprints.

They were merciless.

It's highly likely it was due to a grudge.

I found a weapon.

If you can't do it yourself,

I'll do it for you.

I'll get rid of everything useless...

that's putting my son in danger.

A hammer?

Were they trying to start a fire? Why did they burn this?

They did it on purpose...

to show me.

The police stated that the criminal started a fire.

The murder method was cruel,

while none of the valuables were taken...

Are you all right?

Do Jin.

It's a copycat crime.

- What? - It's a copycat of Yoon Hui Jae.

(Yoon Hui Jae, arrested in 2006)

(I Am Not Unlike You)

One of them went in with her, while the other followed in shortly.

What is this?

They covered their faces, so it's hard to tell.

Is it them?

They have the same built as Lee Seung Woo and Yoon Hyun Moo.

It looks like the two of them...

are accomplices.

What?

You have no fear, do you?

How could you trust me and let me in?

I already know about you...

from your father.

What did...

my father tell you?

Let's sit down...

and talk.

I need something in return too, don't you agree?

I asked you, what did he say?

He called you a sore finger.

He said that you and your brother are worlds apart.

Yoon Na Moo...

What did he say to Na Moo?

What happened between them...

that night?

That's what I should be asking you.

What's with Na Moo?

- What? - People say psychopaths...

are obsessed with their own families.

You're pretty much a forgotten child.

Your father is obsessed only with your brother.

That's because he sees something in Na Moo. Am I right?

What kind of person is Na Moo in your eyes?

Is that gentle face of his only a mask?

Could he be someone even worse than Yoon Hui Jae?

Well?

What?

I don't think they forced the door open.

They're either acquaintances...

or maybe knew the password.

What is this? Did you call the police? Do you want to die?

Of course not.

Why would I ruin such an exclusive?

Go inside for a second. It must be the courier.

How can I trust you?

If it's really the police, they'll catch you no matter what.

So stop being scared, and just go inside...

so I can finish the interview fast.

I'll kill you if you're up to something.

According to the footprints,

one was in the living room, then he went inside to hide.

The footprints are concentrated in front of the door,

and there are no signs of rummaging the room.

Who is it?

Hello.

The other...

attacked the victim right at the front door.

Then,

he dragged her...

up to the timeline.

I'm here to kill you.

What?

My father told me to do it.

He said that your work was done...

and that you even did what you shouldn't have.

You must be the criminal behind the residential attacks.

Hyun Moo attacked a woman, then ran off scared.

Then...

were you behind the Han Jae Yi case too?

Was it you? Did Yoon Hui Jae put you up to this?

Just like my father said, you're full of questions.

You're calling Hui Jae your father?

Do you want to be just like him?

Then I'll make it happen for you...

just like how I helped him.

I'm not interested in that.

I don't want to kill people just by words.

It was as if he was punishing the victim.

He batted her to death.

Why did you only show up now?

Did you want to hear our conversation?

You jerk.

If he beat her this much,

the suspect must have gotten a lot of blood on him.

He probably got changed here.

I'm sure he changed shoes too.

The blood marks are different.

They look like drops of blood that dripped off.

In order to drip like this,

that must mean the clothing didn't absorb any of the blood.

A raincoat.

Lee Seung Woo.

It's him.

He's Yoon Hui Jae's copycat.

(Yoon Hui Jae, arrested in 2006)

(Han Jae Yi, Gil Nak Won)

Park Hee Young was murdered?

I wouldn't be surprised if someone she upset killed her off.

How many suspects do you have?

Is Yoon Hyun Moo on the list?

That's a secret.

This will just make us reporters throw guesses around.

Give me a hint. I hate people who write things like that.

You ask for way too much.

It must feel strange.

Park Hee Young gave you a really hard time.

You, Jae Yi, and your family too, right?

Isn't this case connected to Yoon Hui Jae too?

It happened as soon as a show about you and your father aired.

I think it says a lot.

Park Hee Young was reaching, wasn't she?

- Did she have it coming? - So what?

Are you saying she deserved to die?

Aren't you...

a reporter?

I told you that...

everything that makes you...

weak and pathetic...

will be eliminated by me.

The host of Investigation Why,

investigative reporter Park Hee Young,

was found dead in her apartment this afternoon.

- Three years ago... - Yes, sir.

- She investigated... - I'm watching the news right now.

It's true...

that she hassled you and your brother a lot,

but I'm both scared and sorry about what happened to her.

- Recently, she exposed a secret... - I know.

- about Yoon Hui Jae and his son. - You're right.

See you tomorrow. You had a long day. Get some rest.

Hello, sir.

It's been a while. You must be tired.

Investigations revealed she was hit by a blunt instrument...

(Na Moo)

(Na Moo)

Police collected her remains...

and are investigating what happened.

A forensic team is at the scene to collect evidence.

Welcome.

Investigations revealed she was hit by a blunt instrument.

The cruel nature of the attack and the fact that nothing was stolen...

led the police to believe resentment was the motive,

and that is the direction they will take.

They will summon people who knew Park to give statements...

and check security and dashboard camera footages from the area.

Na Moo.

I came over when you said you'd come.

Na Moo.

Are you okay?

Yes. I'm sorry.

Did you miss me?

I do tend to heal people just by being around, don't I?

Yes.

If you...

just admit that right away then I...

Nothing bad happened.

Don't worry, okay?

Just a moment. Sorry.

Wait.

Yeon Ji.

Do Jin, we found him right away.

Yeom Ji Hong, aged 26.

Arrested for fraud and embezzlement via stock price manipulation.

He was incarcerated in Euigang Prison in April 2015...

and was released in April of 2018.

That's just a month apart from Yoon Hyun Moo's release.

I called the prison to check.

He did the same religious activity as Yoon Hui Jae for three years.

His father's quite famous.

He's Yeom Gi Joon, a famous modern artist.

Yeom Ji Hong studied business at a famous American state university.

His older brother lives in Gangnam.

I'll text you his address.

Go there. We'll meet you there.

Okay. I'll leave right now.

From now on, don't wait outside.

Call me if something happens.

Don't go to strange places alone.

Don't meet strangers on your own either.

For a while at least.

Sorry. I'm a bit too...

No.

You have to go, don't you?

Later on,

tell me everything.

Everything you said just now...

were things that I wanted to say to you.

So...

let's both be careful, okay?

Go inside.

Don't you love your sister?

Why did you let her near my son?

Does Na Moo hate me?

Not at all.

It's Na Moo. He takes after me the most.

I guess you don't care.

What will my son...

do to your sister?

Mom.

Dad.

Who will be the third person?

Will it be that pretty sister of yours?

Gil Nak Won.

Gil Moo Won.

I don't think you should stay near your sister either.

Stand up!

Sir.

If you touch my sister, I'll kill you. Understand?

Sir, please let him go.

Nak Won.

What shall I eliminate first,

my son?

Among things that make you weak and pathetic...

(I Am Not Unlike You)

What will it be?

What shall I eliminate first?

Na Moo.

That hammer.

Are you trying to copy Yoon Hui Jae?

It's like child's play.

- What? - It isn't threatening at all.

- It's corny. - You punk.

It's you, isn't it?

Please wait a little, Father.

You and I will meet soon.

It's nice to meet you.

Yeom Ji Hong.

(We thank Kim Seo Hyung for her special appearance.)

(Come and Hug Me)

What did you talk about with Father?

Guess whom Father told me to eliminate first when I got released?

- Gil Nak Won. - This is great.

All the things we couldn't do because we felt sorry and grateful.

Let's do all of them from now on.

Can I do more of this?

No one knows when or how they may be harmed.

People think that they won't be harmed.

Who are you?

I told you that I'll complete his autobiography.

Without Yoon Hui Jae, what are you?

Meet and give the present.

Say, "What you wished for over three years..."

"will soon come true."
