I am Federica

He is my grandfather Matteo

They are my parents

They are going abroad, for work

And this summer I have to stay here

At my grandfather’s

Where I have no friends

It’s not fair

My grandfather has a wood shop

But now he’s retired

He can make many things with wood

…although he seems to be obsessed with guitars, now

I don’t like guitars

I prefer cars

I have no friends here

My grandfather doesn’t even have a dog

And since when my grandmother died

A melancholic music

I’m sad because my parents left me

I moved on remembering his words

… I graduated

Then, the quarantine came

And my grandfather died

I wasn’t by his side

…He died alone
