REFUGEE DISTRICT, NINE YEARS AGO

The refugee mob is putting up a tough fight.

Kill them all and don't lose ground!

Hide until it's dark, even if the gunfire stops.

Run!

CHEONMYEONG MUST BE BROUGHT DOWN

I got the order to burn them all.

Hide until it's dark, even if the gunfire stops.

BLACK KNIGHT

Fresh way to make an appearance.

Whoa.

That was close.

Do you have a death wish?

I did.

But that changed today.

DELIVERYMAN RECRUITMENT TOURNAMENT

I'm doing this.

I have a reason to do it.

Tell me how I can win.

I don't care about your reason, and I have no secrets to share with you.

I can't stand rude people.

You got me out of there.

You saved me!

Now you remember?

Help me win this.

-Why me? -Because you're the strongest.

Please.

Prove yourself.

10:00, NOVEMBER 21

Seol-ah, I think he's got a chance of becoming a deliveryman.

I've seen him fight a few times,

and he's definitely much stronger than before--

How many do you think have died?

Thousands.

We thought it was a struggle,

but Cheonmyeong considered it a riot.

Should we keep living like this?

What option do we have?

It may take time…

but I'll find a way.

So, you want to become a deliveryman?

YOU, TOO, CAN BECOME A LEGEND LIKE 5-8

So,

the legendary 5-8 is going to let you become a deliveryman?

No, that's not it. He simply said, "Prove yourself."

That's the same thing.

-Why are you so pessimistic? -You little…

-Do you feel confident? -Well…

I'll give it a try.

While I'm at it, I'll test if 5-8 really is a legend.

Hey, you're the one being tested. Don't you know what that means?

I do, man! It's like an exam.

Find anything useful?

I GAVE MY ALL TO BECOME A DELIVERYMAN

Give my all? I can risk my life too.

Have you heard of the Gates of Hell?

The Gates of Hell?

Why are they always working late?

I tell them to save oxygen, but they never listen.

Ma'am.

Yeah, go home.

Are you sure about that?

Is there a situation?

Yes, ma'am. The tracking team sent an emergency report.

About 5-8?

He went outside the General District.

You're coming with us?

What? Should I go home, then?

PHYSICAL TRAINING FACILITY

Is everyone here?

Let's start.

It's an old training facility for deliverymen.

I saw 11 people entering, including 5-8.

They were all deliverymen who used to be refugees.

A group of deliverymen led by 5-8…

The purpose of the kidnapping is

human experiments.

Human experiments?

Do you suspect Cheonmyeong's behind this?

-I'm sure. -Why target the children of the mines?

To find mutants.

So, they really exist?

ANALYSIS OF REFUGEE SURVIVOR

They do exist.

There are over ten deliverymen, including 5-8.

If we engage in a fight…

That'd be even better. It would allow us to arrest them.

His bones are made out of metal, and his wounds heal extremely quickly.

So it is real.

But then, nothing's impossible in a world ruined by polluted air and radioactivity.

If they are targeting mutants,

this kid is perfect.

You want to use him to find the children?

If we have to.

He came to 5-8 and said he wants to become a deliveryman.

That kid needs me too.

What brings you here at this hour?

I felt today was the day for us to resume our previous conversation.

On all the days of the kidnappings,

5-7 was on leave.

He must have acted as the key, using his job as a deliveryman.

He died on the day he became wanted, and the cause was--

Overwork.

Stop right there.

We were ordered to keep this investigation confidential.

Was he murdered?

I'm sorry, but I can't tell you.

CHEONMYEONG LOGISTICS

The first time a deliveryman has died from overwork since Earth fell apart.

Yes.

At least, officially.

You don't believe the official account?

It's a reasonable doubt.

The witness hasn't finished his testimony yet.

5-7 was murdered.

Murdered?

Based on what?

He died in front of me.

A tiny bomb went off in his head.

Were there any clues before he died?

Taken away?

To where?

For human experiments…

This is the culprits' tattoo.

It was on their necks.

The kidnappings were not limited to the General District.

Refugee children have disappeared too.

Refugee?

Take care of yourself,

Major Jung Seol-ah.

It says he went to 5-8 like you did,

and saw hell.

The Gates of Hell.

Once you go through the gates, a human being turns into this pulp.

A group of people will beat you up until you pass out!

A group of people? They'll gang up on me?

The guy who wrote the book

was in a coma for a week.

CHAPTER 3 THE GATES OF HELL

Are you the Gates of Hell?

Here I go.

Just you two?

-What did you expect? -I mean…

The Gates of Hell…

Ganging up on me…

Did you read that book I Gave My All or whatever?

Come on up.

No, I'll do it.

He'll die if you do it.

I'll hold back so he doesn't.

Show me what you've got.

Let's do it.

Too slow.

One, two.

-Three, four. -Ouch!

Too slow.

-Tired already? -Not at all!

Faster.

Get back in here.

One, two, three,

four.

Stop playing. Get serious.

You mean it?

Did you see my fist?

-No. -Exactly.

That's where you're at.

What do you think?

He's no trained fighter. Slow too.

Yeah.

-Why are you still here? -You want me to leave?

You said you wanted to be a deliveryman. Wouldn't you have to register first?

Use your head and think.

Sheesh.

What are you doing?

This stays within the team for now.

Okay, listen up!

We have new information.

We're aiming to recruit a new deliveryman for Cheonmyeong Group.

REFUGEE 034 CHEONMYEONG GROUP

What are you up to?

Thinking for the first time in a while.

Are you sad that Yoon Sa-wol is now Refugee 034?

Not exactly sad, but just…

Do you know my name?

-5-8. -Exactly.

I'm 5-8, and she's 4-1.

And you're Refugee 034. Is there a problem?

You're right.

What do I do now?

What's that?

I have to dodge them?

No, hit them!

Hit them?

Stop dodging and hit them!

Your eyes are slow, like your movements.

No idea what you're talking about. Why don't you try it?

He just won't freaking listen.

Taking his shirt off again.

Turn it on.

Awesome!

We've got a long way to go.

The first round of the Cheonmyeong Deliveryman Recruitment Tournament begins.

The last participant standing will make it to the second round.

When the round begins, the oxygen in the rooms will be cut off.

Don't attack. Just block the attacks.

You do gang up on me.

Oxygen level 100%.

If we push him harder, he could hit the balls.

He's still only as good as an average deliveryman.

Speed it up.

What the hell?

Oxygen level 50%.

This is total chaos, total--

Focus and watch the flow of your opponent's attack.

Yeah!

Cocky kid.

Speed it up!

Come on! It's too easy!

Oxygen level 5%…

Oxygen level 1%.

Oxygen is being restored.

The following participants will go on to the second round.

Room One, Joo Gyeong-nam.

Room Two, Park Se-seung.

Room Three, Hyeon Su.

Room Four, Yoo Gyeong-sik.

Room Five, Choi Ju-ho.

Room Six, Lee Dong-cheol.

Room Seven, Kim Seung-hyeon.

Room Eight, Refugee 034.

TEHERAN-RO, 2100

He passed the first round.

He's my only son, and they took him right before my eyes.

The fact that they left you behind means that only your son mattered to them.

What should I do?

Look for a guy who has this tattoo on the back of his neck.

I just need to find someone who has this tattoo?

Yes, we'll make the arrest.

Can I notify other districts?

As many as you can.

Okay.

He has a bad skin condition. Is he a mine laborer?

Yes.

He was taken young and barely managed to escape.

The children of the mines.

CHEONMYEONG GROUP

Get off.

Take one each.

The destination?

The oxyanium mine.

The construction in their district is over.

They were planning to kill them.

Are you okay?

I volunteered to be a refugee administrator.

I'm fine.

What about District A?

They will test the Air Road operation soon.

Delay it as much as possible.

I'm setting things up here and there for an incident to happen,

but security's high after the last one.

We can't fail this time.

We'll look for a way too.

Choose. Leg or arm?

What do you mean?

You need a bullet in you before going back.

No, leg.

Arm.

Who did this?

We don't know yet, sir.

We're questioning a survivor, but he's rambling on and on.

How dare they go after Cheonmyeong's property.

Mobilize the guard force and call the military.

Yes, si--

What is it?

The minister of defense is here.

Hello, sir.

This is Major Jung Seol-ah.

CEO Ryu Seok of Cheonmyeong Group.

Major Jung Seol-ah of the DIC.

The construction is over 90% complete.

We're working with the government under airtight security.

Your security really is tight.

Too much information leads to assumptions and confusion.

Are you going to move District A to the Core

and upgrade the Special District and the General District by a level?

I can see why the minister thinks highly of you, Major.

Another mass exodus will begin.

Cheonmyeong Group,

and especially Ryu, is in charge of this huge undertaking.

Why did you ask for me?

I'd like to have the files on each district.

We need the DIC's help for a fair reassignment plan.

Reassignment?

That's right.

Don't feel pressured,

and just cooperate with what Ryu wants.

I look forward to it.

The general consensus is

that you must not be allowed to lead the District A Relocation Plan.

Because the president said so?

GOVERNMENT RELOCATION EXECUTION PLAN

Because the chairman supports her.

Cheonmyeong must speak as one

if things are to go the way you want.

Nothing's ever easy.

I passed.

Do you know how to drive?

Drive?

So he does drive.

In this round…

SECOND ROUND

…you must deliver a package safely to the finish line.

At random spots on the route,

hunters with a record of serious crimes will be waiting for you.

Any hunter who takes your package

will be released from prison immediately.

Use the weapons in each of your vehicles

to stop the hunters' attacks and protect the package.

CHEONMYEONG GROUP

Can we kill them?

Of course.

In this round, we'll be selecting two participants

who can deliver their packages to the destination safely.

We go straight to the final?

If you survive this round.

Why are we here?

You're here as observers to make sure that the race is fair.

Mr. Ryu is here.

Good work, everyone.

The second round of the Cheonmyeong Deliveryman Recruitment Tournament begins.

These are all junk.
