=The Shoufu Can Read Mind=

=Episode 8=

We

couldn't gather so much gold for now.

Don't worry.

My father is a general.

He's worth 3,000 taels of gold.

Take him with you.

Shut up.

Do you think I'm a butcher

and you're actually negotiating?

Don't kill me.

We've given you the money.

Kill him first.

Shut up.

What did you make me press my thumbprint on?

This is the evidence that you colluded with Sir Zhou

to cheat

on the imperial examination.

I'll just need to report this to the magistrate

and Shen family is done.

Who are you?

Where is my sister?

Where are you hiding my sister?

Don't worry.

We're robbers with dignity.

We won't harm a little girl.

Let's go.

Father.

Will our whole clan be sentenced to death?

Talk to me.

What should I say?

What else should I say?

You're useless.

I should ask you instead. Are you even my father?

If it wasn't for you, a useless son,

why would I look for Sir Zhou?

I'll beat you.

Father.

Yanqing?

What are you doing here?

Madam.

Miss Shen is back safely.

Mother!

Huan!

- It's good that you're fine. - Mother!

I was so worried.

Mother,

what could've happened to me?

Weren't you kidnapped?

Your father and Le went to redeem you.

They have yet to come home.

What?

So,

the kidnappers

got the evidence of you colluding with Sir Zhou

by saying that they kidnapped Huan?

No.

We're not colluding with him.

It's not that serious.

Father.

Le.

You're really muddle-headed.

His Majesty has noticed that

Sir Zhou always leaks

the exam questions

and ordered me to investigate in private.

It's just that I didn't know

you both are in it.

I wanted

to buy the questions for Le,

but

the questions

are sold at 100 taels of silver.

I

couldn't bring myself to buy it.

Father,

so you didn't want to pay for it.

Zhihuan is worth 3,000 taels of gold.

I'm not even worth 100 taels of silver.

Father,

you're biased.

You rascal.

Is this the time

to think about this?

Yanqing,

what do you think

we should do about this?

From what you said,

you didn't get the questions.

That's not collusion.

That's right.

That's right.

However,

those people have targeted you.

They've even got Le's thumbprint as evidence.

I'm afraid you can hardly

explain yourselves before His Majesty.

Why not

you do this?

We've given

all our asset,

1,000 taels of gold, to them.

1,000 taels of gold?

I'm thinking

about your father

and your brother.

Collaborate with me

and I'll protect Shen family.

How does it sound?

(Is this a scheme?)

(It must be the bad guy Xu Yanqing's plan.)

(He's a poke face.)

(He's indeed the most wicked guy in Great Sui.)

Mother,

I'll look for them.

No need to look for us.

We're back.
