Love a Lifetime

Episode 23

By order of Master Rong, we must capture Mei Ying alive.

This plum garden seems to be mystical.

We've traveled around here several times, but we are still here.

Mei Ying must have set the Plum Blossom Array here.

If we can't find the exit, then cut down all the plum trees here.

If there are too many of them for us to cut,

just set a fire to burn them.

Yes!

I don't think we still can't find the exit

after the plum garden is burnt.

When fire burns, the Mei family declines.

Since there is no way out, I don't need to restrain myself anymore.

If I can't protect this plum garden intact,

then I will die with them.

Go.

Light torches.

Yes.

We searched the whole mansion, but didn't find Mei Ying.

Go on searching in groups.

We must take Mei Ying back to Dragon Howl City to fulfil our task,

whether he is alive or dead.

Yes!

Yue.

Today finally I entrust

you trouble-maker to Miss Rong Hua.

Young Master.

This is against the rules.

It doesn't matter.

Young Master.

You can't meet the bride before the wedding.

Young Master.

Cai.

In a while at the wedding, with her face being covered,

I can't see what she is like.

No.

Come on.

Take it.

Please.

I just want to meet her and say a few words.

Just one sentence, just one.

Young Master.

No matter what good things you give to me, you can't get in.

Please wait and see the bride in the bridal chamber at night.

Cai, you...

You don't let me see her, then I won't see her.

Hua!

Young Master.

Hua!

Young Master.

This is against the rules.

Hua, come and let me have a look.

Young Master.

If you don't come here, I'll climb in.

Young Master.

Miss Rong, do you need me to close the window?

Don't, don't, don't, don't close the window.

Xueman.

Bring Hua here to let me have a look at her.

Xueman.

If you can bring Hua here, I can promise you a thing unconditionally.

As long as you want me to fulfil it, you can come to me at any time.

That's a good bargain.

With my sister-in-law as the witness,

you must remember the promise to me.

Of course.

I won't forget it.

This eyebrow isn't dark enough.

I didn't draw it well.

Now I can only ask you to draw it for Hua.

Now you look much better.

Hua.

Don't be afraid or nervous.

I just want you to remember that as long as I want to see you

and be with you, no one can stop me.

All right.

We can't be late for the wedding.

When you get into the bridal chamber at night,

you can take your time to look at her.

Let me cover it for her.

Congratulations, Master Lin.

Congratulations, Young Master.

Congratulations, congratulations.

Master Lin.

Congratulations, Young Master.

Thank you.

You did so much for my wedding.

Be serious.

It's your big day today.

There are so many people here.

Thank you, Yizhou.

Look how vigorous you are now.

You must feel much better.

Of course.

If you don't believe it, we can have a drink another day.

In the future, you may not be able to make that decision yourself.

Before you go for a drink, you need to ask

your wife behind you for permission.

Come here.

Yue.

Stop playing.

It's the auspicious time.

Music.

First, bow to the heavens and earth.

Second, bow to the parent.

Bow to each other.

What did Master Rong say?

Did you find Mei Ying?

Liuli and other disciples of the Snow Union

have been under our detention.

The destroying of the Mei family hasn't been spread out in Jianghu,

so Lingxu Pavilion definitely doesn't know it.

OK.

Since Mei Ying has betrayed Lingxu Pavilion and Nalan Yue,

he can't depend on them to protect him.

It's his wishful thinking to get away with this today.

Find Mei Ying as soon as possible.

You are all in my trap.

Wait and see a good show.

Chase.

What is happening?

What are those sounds?

Yeah.

Cangqi.

Yue.

What is happening?

It's fine.

I'm here.

Yizhou.

Lead some people to take a look outside the mountain gate.

Yes.

Wait.

I'll go with you.

Today it's our big day.

It seems that someone wants to cause some trouble,

but...

Go to the bridal chamber and wait for me.

Don't run outside alone.

Xueman.

Wait for me.

Yue.

Come back early.

I'll wait for you.

The whistling just now is a signal of our Mei family.

Once it's sounded,

it means that our Mei family is in a desperate situation.

Ying... Xueman.

Calm down.

If something has really happened to Mei Ying,

the disciples we dispatched should have brought some information back.

At least, the Snow Union should have found something.

If not for emergency, Ying wouldn't have blown the whistle.

Master Lin, Young Master,

the disciples sent to do investigation on the Mei family

have got back.

The Mei family has been annihilated.

Are you sure?

What?

They said they were late, and when they got there,

the Mei mansion has been burnt,

and none of the disciples of the Mei family survived.

But luckily, Young Master Mei escaped,

and he may be around Lingxu Pavilion.

In addition, people of Dragon Howl City have got here.

Dragon Howl City wants to exterminate the whole Mei family.

Mei Ying did those strange things because he had known that

Dragon Howl City wouldn't let go of him easily.

What happened between Dragon Howl City and the Mei family?

No matter what, I must go to save my brother.

Xueman.

Now if you get out of the mountain gate

and meet people of Dragon Howl City, you will die.

You made a promise to me this morning.

I know that it's your wedding day today,

and it's inappropriate to mention this now.

But,

but can you dispatch some people

to help me save my brother out of the mountain gate?

How about this?

I'll get out of the mountain gate to have a look.

You stay here,

and help me deal with everything else after the wedding.

Now since the Mei family has been destroyed, from now on,

Lingxu Pavilion is your home.

As for your brother,

I'll make arrangements with my mother after I look into everything

and the whole problem is solved.

Thank you so much.

You're welcome.

There isn't much time.

I'll leave now.

Just let me do it.

It's your wedding day today.

As the bridegroom, how can you leave here?

There are many things for you to do in the pavilion.

Don't worry.

I'm much better now.

I'll just get out of the mountain gate to have a look.

It won't take long.

Besides, after my wedding, I should share some responsibilities

for Lingxu Pavilion with my mother.

I do this as a gift to my mother.

Cangqi.

Now arrange some people to go with me.

You also stay here, and help me protect Lingxu Pavilion.

Mei Ying.

Just what happened?

The Mei family was destroyed.

The next one, the next one will be Lingxu Pavilion.

Young Master has brought Young Master Mei back.

In case of any accident, arrange some disciples to keep watch on him,

after all, Young Master Mei is scheming.

Miss Mei, are you going to see your brother?

Yizhou.

I'll go there with you.

Master Lin knew about it, and she is also on the way there.

What about Yue?

He takes disciples to do deployment around Lingxu Pavilion.

Those people of Dragon Howl City are still in the mountain,

and they are very aggressive.

Master Lin.

Cangqi.

Carefully search this place,

to make sure of the safety of the pavilion.

Yes.

Mei Ying.

Well done.

All is attributed to your excellent plan.

Only after the Mei family was really destroyed

could I win the trust of Lingxu Pavilion.

And only after I got into the pavilion and put the smoke bombs there

could I inform Dragon Howl City.

Master Rong.

My face

was destroyed by Mo Huan.

This time we're going to march into Lingxu Pavilion

and put an end to all the struggles in the past.

But this good show can only start

after the Mei family has been destroyed.

Master Rong, please issue an order now

to destroy the Mei family.

When the Mei family is destroyed,

I'll pretend to escape to Lingxu Pavilion.

By then, I can cooperate with Dragon Howl City inside there,

and help you attack into the pavilion.

So Master Rong, you concealed it from all of us.

You ordered Xuan Ye to do anything he could to destroy the Mei family

and chase him here, and in fact, it was all in your plan.

And we knew nothing about it.

By virtue of this plan, our Dragon Howl City

managed to kill our way into Lingxu Pavilion.

But Hua... I don't need you to remind me.

She betrayed our Dragon Howl City.

I forgave her again and again despite her mistakes.

Today I will make her realize that she is wrong completely.

The chance I created for Master Rong and Miss Rong Su won't last long.

The smoke will envelop the mountain for nearly two hours.

It's enough for us to kill our way into Lingxu Pavilion.

OK.

Before this, I tricked Xueman

and got some information about their defense mechanism.

In a while, we can get in from here.

Come and have a look.

To defeat someone cruel like Mei Ying,

we must be even crueler than him.

Now we don't have any other choice.

Only by killing into Lingxu Pavilion

and surviving can we have some possibility to win.

I worry that at last the Hall of Emptiness and Lingxu Pavilion

both suffer losses, while he is the wolf that has a winning game,

and wins Master Rong's favor.

By now, I don't have any other choice.

I did it wrong since the beginning.

I shouldn't have let him come to Dragon Howl City

or cooperated with him.

I was too softhearted then.

Now I have to find a chance to kill him as soon as possible,

and only in this way can I guarantee my position in Dragon Howl City in the future.

But Lingxu Pavilion... We're out of time.

Let's separate and do it.

Now you and I are just pawns on Master Rong's chessboard.

We can't decide anything.

If you don't want to lose your future or life,

then you can only make contributions.

How can I allow

him to take away the position of master of Dragon Howl City?

I can't let you live,

because now I don't have any other choice.

For the sake of Dragon Howl City, I can only try my best.

This time I won't show mercy on you.

You Nalan family sneaked into my Dragon Howl City,

kidnapped my daughter Hua, and even destroyed my Chihua Pill.

Those were outrageous.

You are just using these excuses

to cover up for your desire to kill and ambition.

Now it's just like how you destroyed our Nalan family

and took away the Chihua Pill.

But in Jianghu, not all places can be destroyed at your will.

Today I will teach you something.

Today I will fight for justice and eliminate you evil guy for Jianghu.

Look, you are getting serious.

Let's see if you can do it.

It's you.

Rong Jingfeng.

You are really ruthless and merciless.

Have you ever thought that you may be backfired by fate?

Backfired?

You are not the one to decide that.

Retreat!

I've investigated every exit of Lingxu Pavilion.

So, I'm specially here to wait for you.

So many people of the Mei family were killed by Dragon Howl City.

And several hundred people of Lingxu Pavilion lost their lives.

Mei Ying!

Even if I kill you today, it's too easy for you.

It'll depend on whether Nalan Yue can survive

the fight with Rong Jingfeng or not.

Go!

Master Lin.

Are you all right?

I'm fine.

Where is Yue?

I'm not sure whether Young Master is still alive.

Mo Huan has arrived.

Master Lin, please go to meet her.

Lead others to go with us.

Yes.

Quick.

Go.

Quick.

Quick.

How are you?

Be strong.

What's wrong?

Why are there only several disciples?

What a pity.

Today it happened that I'm backfired,

or

I wouldn't let Rong Su gain anything.

At this moment, I can't protect anyone.

I spent great energy and saved this guy from Rong Su.

As for whether Buzhuo can save Nalan Yue or not,

it depends on his fate.

Even Mei Ying

causes such a big loss to you.

I'm going to rescue Yue.

- Stop. - Mrs. Lin.

If you don't hide here, I'm afraid that all of you of Lingxu Pavilion

will die.

From this moment on, no one is allowed to get out to rescue them.

Where is Rong Hua?

Before Young Master got out of the mountain gate,

he entrusted Miss Rong Hua to me.

Today no matter what happens, I must bring her back safely.

Councilor Lu.

Just let him go, or he will kill himself in this cave

to ask for forgiveness.

Tell me,

where are others of Lingxu Pavilion?

I didn't expect

that you would come all the way from the faraway

Dragon Howl City to attend my wedding today.

Thank you.

Even now, you are still so stupid.

You knew long ago

the relationship between Lingxu Pavilion and the Nalan family.

But you concealed it for them.

You've been lying to me!

To save Nalan Yue, you disobeyed me and wounded people several times!

I forgave you and gave you another chance again and again,

hoping that you might realize you were wrong.

But what did you do?

Now Lingxu Pavilion colludes with the demon of the Ling Sect,

taking away my Chihua Pill and destroying my Flower Sea.

What did you do?

You escaped with Nalan Yue, and you marry him now.

Even if you are my dearest daughter,

I can't forgive you anymore.

You're talking nonsense.

You drove the Nalan family into a desperate situation,

and nearly exterminated them.

The destroying of the Flower Sea

and the murdering of the faction masters

had nothing to do with Nalan Yue.

Rong Hua.

You really disappoint me.

Early in the morning I dispatched people to sneak in,

tie you up and get you here.

Now you should already see it clearly.

All others in Lingxu Pavilion

have fled away.

Why didn't they take you away?

You

take Nalan Yue as your husband,

but pitifully,

what did they do to you?

Just now Guan Buzhuo took away Nalan Yue in front of the mountain.

I don't think anyone would come to rescue you.

You'd better think about it.

In whatever way you want to kill me, just do it.

Hua.

You are wrong.

No matter what, I don't want to kill my daughter.

Back then your mother had difficult labor.

Before she died, she asked me to promise

that I would protect you and make you happy throughout your life.

These years I've never forgotten it.

Hua.

Say that you were wrong.

How unexpected that they came back!

Yue.

I came late.

It's my fault.

Go.

They want to kill you. You should go now.

It's our wedding day today.

How can I leave my bride here?

Let's go.

Protect people of Lingxu Pavilion to leave!

Let go of me!

Go!

Go!

Ignore me.

Yue!

Go!

Shoot arrows!

Hua.

From now on I won't protect you,

and I can't protect you.

Lu Yizhou.

Xuan Ye.

Go!

Yue!

Yue!

Yue!

- Yue! - Yue!

I told you to stay away from this in the cave.

You insisted on coming to rescue her.

You stayed behind us just now

because you wanted to protect us from the flying arrows, didn't you?

Yue!

Yue!

Why are you so stupid?

Why did you do that?

For the sake of you, it's worth it.

We can't stay here.

We can't stay here.

Yue!

We have to leave.

Master Lin is waiting for you.

Yue!

Yue!

I can't feel his pulse.

I think he doesn't have much time left.

Impossible.

That's impossible.

Yue!

It's our wedding day today.

I have a lot to talk with you.

Yue!

Yue!

Don't, don't leave me.

I seem to hear sounds in the mountain.

They should be made by people of Dragon Howl City.

Mr. Lu.

Mr. Guan.

I beg you to save Yue,

so that he can live on.

I will try my best.

Yue.

This period of time I spent with you is the happiest in my life.

Remember, no matter what happens,

I'm

your wife.

I'm going to lure away the people chasing us.

You take Yue away.

Go.

No.

Yue told me again and again to protect you.

How can I let you face the danger yourself?

I should be the one to go there.

Mr. Lu.

Stop.

If Yue is still awake,

he'll try to protect Lingxu Pavilion at the risk of losing his life.

As his wife, I shoulder the responsibility

of protecting Lingxu Pavilion and my husband.

Take him away.

Mr. Guan.

You saw what happened tonight.

I won't let my dad do more wrong things.

Take him away.

Mrs. Nalan.

Rong Hua!
