[Honey, Don't Run Away]

[Mu's Residence]

Mr. Feng.

I heard you're getting married.

Is that true?

It's true.

It's a gut decision.

And I haven't had the chance to tell you about it.

I hope you don't mind.

What are you trying to do?

Sir.

This is Jue Jade, an heirloom of the Mogu clan.

It can only be passed down to the heirs on the day of their wedding.

It's not that I object you from getting married.

But you must make sure that...

she's not a Tiansha Star.

Sir, do you know...

the effect of Tiansha Star on you?

You've been telling me since I was a kid...

that people in our clan are well-versed in medicine...

and in the secret knowledge of inner canon.

But when they were bestowed with the magic,

they were told to avoid one thing.

They need to avoid the Tiansha Star.

If someone from the clan falls in love with someone who's a Tiansha Star,

the rest of the clan will suffer as poison ravages their bodies.

If the poison spreads throughout the body, both of them may die.

We have been avoiding them.

To keep harm at bay,

we're even willing to kill them.

I'm glad that you remember it.

This jade may help to tweak your fate and align it with the universe.

If she's a Tiansha Star and clashes with your fate, it will glow.

Since you're getting married, please bring this jade along as a precaution.

Thanks, Mr. Feng.

Mr. Feng.

Do you know about Zhuyou clan?

I hear only the women can be their heir.

And they can only live until they're 20 years old.

Why are you asking this all of a sudden?

[For now, I must not let anyone know that Xiao Tang...]

[is a member of Zhuyous.]

[It could turn bad.]

We're just done with matters related to Madam Meng.

I wasn't sure of a few things.

That's why I asked you the question.

It's true that there are rumours about how Zhuyous live a short life.

Ye Qian, the previous heiress,

once helped the emperor to build this empire.

But it's inevitable for her that she would live a short life.

Is there no way to reshape this fate?

The emperor tried everything to save Ye Qian.

But His Majesty still failed.

Perhaps the fate of Zhuyous will remain the same.

Sir?

Thank you for telling me that.

You are about to get married.

I'd like to go back to our home-town to pay respects to our ancestors.

And I'll inform your parents.

I'll be going tomorrow and will be back in three days.

That's good.

I'll pray for you on your journey.

I have something to do now. See you then.

Sir.

[Episode 10]

Why is she not eating it?

Is she full?

She's eating it now.

Jin Yan, you just got here?

My dad is at home.

Hong Xiu, please call him.

Hold on.

Please stay here for the night.

You can stay in the room next to mine.

My dad would like to discuss our wedding with you.

I'd like to be involved.

Xiao Tang.

I'd like to talk to you about something.

I brought you a gift.

This is my family heirloom.

It's time for me to tell you about my background.

It's beautiful.

It's glowing!

What's wrong, Jin Yan?

Nothing.

Let's not waste our time. Let's go and see my dad.

I don't think today is the right day.

Don't bother.

I've come to see you.

Jin Yan.

Why didn't you ask them to tell me that you were coming?

I'm sorry for being rude, Mr. Ye.

I think it's time to drop the formality.

You keep calling me Mr. Ye. It's making me feel awkward.

Why don't you just...

call me 'dad' from now on?

Dad!

You are far more hasty than I am.

All right then, I won't push.

Jin Yan.

Let's fix a date for your wedding.

And we'll have a dinner together.

Please stay here for the night.

Mr. Ye.

Xiao Tang.

I must tell you something.

Mr. Ye.

I can't marry Xiao Tang.

What?

Jin Yan, are you kidding?

Please stop it.

I said I can't marry you.

What?

I must've heard it wrongly.

I don't want to marry Xiao Tang.

You...

-You jerk! -Dad!

Jin Yan.

Did I do something wrong?

Please tell me the reason.

I don't want you to live a short life.

I've just heard about those guys who asked for your hand in marriage.

You bring bad luck to your husband. You want me to suffer the same fate?

You believe the rumours?

I have no choice.

But you just gave me your family heirloom.

It can't be...

It's a farewell gift.

I need to tell you that...

I'm the only child.

I will not let myself to be in harm's way...

by marrying you.

You...

Mu Jin Yan.

You dare insult my daughter.

You're...

-Dad! -Sir!

Dad.

Dad.

Dad.

Mr. Ye.

I have something to attend to.

I need to go.

Mu Jin Yan!

Once you step out of this place,

you will not show your face here again!

From now on,

you're not allowed to see Xiao Tang anymore.

Or you will be condemned by God!

Jin Yan!

Dad!

Please let me go after him.

Xiao Tang, please listen to me.

Don't you worry. I will find a better man for you.

I beg you not to see him again.

I don't want anybody else!

I just want him!

You...

My lady!

You listen carefully.

If you take one step out of here,

you're no longer my daughter!

Please listen to your father.

What you say won't matter...

because he owes me an explanation.

Only after I've heard what he has to say...

that I can get over him.

Stay.

Do you want to send out our man for her?

No.

She wouldn't change her mind...

if she doesn't know how pain feels like.

[Mu's Residence]

Jin Yan, please open the door.

I know you're in there.

Jin Yan.

Please open up.

Go!

We mustn't see each other anymore.

I'm not a bad luck to my man.

There must be a reason for that to happen.

I beg you not to believe in rumours.

[Fate is toying with us.]

[Only one of us will survive.]

[The pain and sadness you're feeling are just temporary.]

[I will bear the rest of it...]

Jin Yan!

[for my whole life.]

Why did you abruptly break off our engagement?

I thought you wanted to marry me.

Why did you not hold to your promise?

Jin Yan...

Open the door!

Open up!

Please open up!

Jin Yan!

You know I hate thunder.

Open up!

Jin Yan!

Jin Yan.

I will stay...

until you come and see me.

Ye Xiao Tang.

Have you lost it?

Jin Yan...

Wake up now!

Even if you lose him,

you still have your friends...

and your family.

And not just that...

I'm here for you.

Jin Yan, please open the door.

Please...

-Come out! -Let's go.

Come with me!

Jin Yan!

I don't want to go...

Jin Yan!

Jin Yan, don't leave me...

Don't leave...

Don't leave...

She's been calling for Jin Yan.

And she wouldn't stop.

Jin Yan.

Don't go...

Mu Jin Yan!

Why did you propose to her when you don't even love her?

Don't you know? You just humiliated her...

and now she has become a laughing stock.

How do you expect her to live from now?

I don't need to know this.

You must come with me to apologise to her.

It doesn't matter if you stand...

or be on your knees, you must propose to her again.

I can't do that.

You really are a jerk.

Don't you know how much she loves you?

Don't you know how much I care for her?

You were just fooling someone I love.

How dare you.

Your Highness.

Ye Xiao Tang...

is pretty and wealthy.

Do you know why no one came to ask her hand for marriage?

Because she brings bad luck to her man? That's just a rumour.

You believe in that?

I put my belief in it...

because I don't want any harm.

You don't deserve her.

I feel glad.

I hope she will not look for me again.

I don't want anything to do with her anymore.

All right.

You got it.

I've been waiting for this day.

Once Xiao Tang and I marry,

please don't regret the decision you've made.

I'm glad that...

there's someone else...

who will love you deeply...

when I'm not with you anymore.

Finally, you're here.

This is the map for the secret passages. I need my money.

Good!

See you later, Mr. Ye.

Wait.

Any news on the heir of the Mogu clan?

I'm still investigating.

Nothing conclusive yet.

Look for it as soon as you can.

I want news about it in three days.

[Ye's Residence]

Sir.

How is she doing now?

She fell asleep after she took the medication.

Ask Hong Xiu to attend to her needs.

Her body is weak.

Make sure that it will not affect her health.

There is this one thing that I don't understand, sir.

Why don't you tell her about your search for the Dream Crystal?

We're still unsure if it still exists.

My wife and I have been searching for it everywhere.

And it's still not found.

She felt dejected many times over...

for having high hopes.

I don't want Xiao Tang to feel the same way.

Sir.

She knows that you only want what's best for her.

But she's been crying the whole day...

after Jin Yan broke off their engagement.

I watch her grow up with my own eyes.

I can feel her pain too.

I must resolve this issue.

I'd like to go to Mu's.

You want to go there this late?

It's better if you go tomorrow.

My lady!

Your dad didn't come back last night. Only God knows where he's off to.

He wasn't at home last night?

He said he wanted to go to Mu's at nine last night.

No one knows where he went after that.

We haven't heard about him until now.

We need to go to Mu's.

Yes.

Xiao Tang, I'm going with you.

Mr. Ye.

Mr. Ye.

Mr. Ye.

Dad!

-Sir! -Sir!

-Dad... -Sir.

Dad...

What's wrong with you, dad?

Dad.

Dad.

Mu Jin Yan!

You owe us an explanation.

What happened here?

Dad!

Dad!

Dad!

Mu Jin Yan, you killed my father!

Mum, I swear.

I will not let go of Dad's murderer.

Are you now back together in the afterlife?

We'll be together again soon.

Xiao Tang, please don't be too sad.

I don't think that...

Mu Jin Yan killed your father.

Xiao Tang.

The three of us have been friends for quite some time.

We know Mu Jin Yan really well.

It's impossible for him to commit this kind of thing.

Then, the knife...

and blood on the body are fake?

A human heart is hard to predict.

He was pretending all this while.

He cancelled our wedding just after a few days of proposing.

He can't be trusted!

Xiao Tang, this is really weird.

Let me investigate thoroughly.

Get out.

Xiao Tang...

Get out!

[There must be something wrong.]

[I have to find out the truth to save Mu Jin Yan.]

Come!

Why save me?

Even though I hate you for dumping Xiao Tang,

I know your character too well.

I don't believe you're a killer.

Don't waste more time. We'll discuss on our way later.

I can't leave.

If I leave, I'll be labelled as an escaped prisoner.

It'll make people think I did the crime.

Do you think by staying here you can clear your name?

They have strong evidence.

And you expect the bumbling magistrate to clear your name?

Let the fate decide if I can be free from the accusation.

What fate?

Mu Jin Yan, if it's not for your sake,

you have to think of Xiao Tang too.

Her fiance cancelled their wedding and has been accused of killing her father.

Do you want her to suffer forever?

All right, let's go.

As you expected.

Security control in the prison is not tight.

The Ninth Prince knocked down the guard and released Mu Jin Yan.

Give some compensation to those injured.

Tell them to rest for a few days.

Sir, I don't get it.

Why did you let Mu Jin Yan go away?

All this while, he ignored your caution and warning...

and now, he's involved in a murder...

with a solid proof.

You silly.

Mu Jin Yan is smart.

If he is the murderer, he won't leave any trace.

So, you're saying someone purposely framed Mu Jin Yan?

I don't want to make any assumption on that.

He has to make his own effort to clear his name.

I think you're safe here.

There's no need for us to go far.

You're a prisoner.

Once the court finds out you ran away, you'll be hunted for sure.

-Anyone chasing us just now? -No.

Maybe...

Maybe they haven't realised you're gone.

Normally, the number of guards in prison is triple.

Just think...

why has the amount lessened and you could easily spring me free?

I was curious too.

The magistrate wants me to investigate this matter to clear my own name.

And he didn't want you to fight with the guards.

So, he reduced the number of guards to help you.

So, the magistrate also thinks this case is bizarre?

Mu Jin Yan, what actually happened yesterday?

Mr. Ye came to my place yesterday.

But he left after a few words.

Then, I went out because something happened.

After that, someone hit me and I fainted.

Once I opened my eyes, I was in the living room,

holding a knife covered with blood.

So, the killer wants you to be held responsible of killing Mr. Ye.

For what purpose?

I'm not sure yet.

Let's head to the morgue.

My lord, my job is done. Ye Zhi is dead.

Now, the outlaws rule the world.

Human is always blessed indeed but it doesn't make them aware.

So...

it's better to let bad people to rule the world.

Did Ye Zhi say anything before he died?

No.

He was sure that Dream Crystal no longer exists in this world.

He won't say anything.

It's said that the Dream Crystal of Zhuyou clan is a gift from God.

It can create an imaginary world to control other people's mind.

If it no longer exists,

why would he offer a huge reward to look for it?

My lord, we're not sure the validity of the rumours.

Please reconsider.

Mu Jin Yan is still investigating the treason of the Xie Family?

Luckily, you appeared.

Madam Meng didn't get the chance to tell them anything.

Okay.

Check his background.

If necessary,

just do anything.

My lord.

What about the search for Dream Crystal?

Ye Zhi...

has a daughter, right?

Yes, understood.

[Mortuary]

Why there's no one at the morgue?

Maybe they were transferred from here.

I didn't expect the magistrate is willing to help us like this.

Let's go in.

Let's go.

Why? You want to kill the witness?

This is the knife I was holding at the crime scene.

Right?

Yes, this is the knife.

The magistrate left the evidence here.

He knew I'd come to the morgue.

We've found Mr. Ye's body.

Don't waste time anymore. Let's check the body.

He was alive yesterday and now, he's just a stiff body.

Give me the knife.

So?

Based on the force and sharpness of the knife on the wound,

it's true Mr. Ye was stabbed to death by this knife.

So, after killing Mr. Ye with this knife,

the killer placed the weapon in your hand?

What?

Mr. Ye's joints are a bit strange.

Strange? What is it?

I'm not sure.

We'll only know the cause of death after performing a post-mortem.

Who's that?

[If the investigation continues,]

[Xiao Tang will be in danger.]

[Mu Jin Yan!]

[From now on, there's nothing between us.]

[I can't marry Xiao Tang.]

[You bring bad luck to your husband.]

[You want me to suffer the same fate?]

[If it's true you killed my father,]

[I'll make sure you'll be punished.]

Who are you?

If you surrender the Dream Crystal, we won't kill you.

Dream Crystal?

Still pretending?

In that case, I'll have to use force.

Jin Yan!

Let's go!

The patient lost a lot of blood because he was injured badly.

Plus, his body is weak.

To be fully recovered,

he needs to rest well for two years.

When will he be awake?

I'm not sure.

But the pulse rate is strange. So, I'm not quite sure.

His pulse rate is strange?

There are more than 20 types of human pulse rate.

Some of it floating, deep, slow, rapid, slippery, choppy, deficient or excessive.

But the pulse rate of this patient is different from others.

It's hard to determine.

I shall take my leave.

Thank you.

Xiao Tang, please rest a while.

You haven't slept for the whole day.

Why was he here?

We have proof and witness.

And you still want to defend him?

Xiao Tang.

If Mu Jin Yan killed your father,

why did he faint at his own living room with a knife in his hand?

Mu Jin Yan is a smart man.

He would definitely find a way to cover his wrongdoing if needed.

I also thought...

it's not logical.

But maybe it's his way to mislead us.

If this matter is still not clear,

then we have to investigate thoroughly to find the real killer.

I know you want a revenge.

But we can't punish an innocent man and let the real killer be free.

Right?

Oh, yes.

Why did the villains come?

They want me to give them the Dream Crystal.

Dream Crystal? What is it?

I don't know.

Madam Meng did mention about Dream Crystal.

She wanted me to look for it.

I asked my father about it.

But he refused to tell me anything.

If they came for Dream Crystal,

is it possible that your father's death has anything to do with Dream Crystal too?

At home, where did your father normally linger?

If he didn't go out for business,

he'd normally be around the ancestor's altar...

and talk to my mother in front of her memorial tablet.

Ancestor's altar?

Xiao Tang, can we go there?

Mother, I'm a disloyal daughter.

Father died because of me.

We're still unclear about his killer.

So, I had to come here to look for more information.

Please bless me so I could find the killer as soon as possible.

Then I can seek revenge for father.

Xiao Tang.

Start looking.

Secret tunnel of the palace?

This is the arrangement in the palace.

Look, this is Yonghe Palace.

This is Taiqing Palace.

This is Fenghuang Hall.

This is East Palace.

But I've never seen the part that was marked at the main hall.

The current palace was built in the previous kingdom, Jin.

Some say it has a secret tunnel below the palace.

I never thought it's true.

But why...

would your father have this thing?

Maybe my father knew that Dream Crystal could be found in the palace.

So, he wanted to enter the palace through the secret tunnel to look for it himself.

And that might be the reason he was killed.

I was brought up in the palace.

But I've never heard of Dream Crystal.

This is...

This is my father's hand writing.

[Xiao Tang, I want to tell you a secret about your origin.]

[Dream Crystal is actually a sacred thing of Zhuyou clan...]

[that was inherited since a long time ago.]

[It went missing years ago.]

[Since then, the heir of Zhuyou...]

[has to bear the punishment of the curse.]

[No one can live more than 20 years.]

[Zhuyou's heir is responsible to keep the Dream Crystal.]

[The crystal can help the heir to enter the world of dream...]

[and create an imaginary world.]

[So, a lot of people want to get hold of it.]

[Your mother and I have been looking for it all this while.]

[Before this, I never told you...]

[because I don't want you to worry...]

[for not being able to look for Dream Crystal.]

[If that is the case, you'll not be happy in your life.]

[After your mother passed away,]

[I hired people to look for it all over the place.]

[Finally, I obtained some information recently.]

[Rumour has it that it is hidden in the palace.]

[But I didn't get the chance to validate the rumours.]

[Xiao Tang, it's up to you to look for it or not.]

[I just hope you'll live with no regrets.]

[That's all.]

You're from Zhuyou clan?

The Zhuyou clan has the advantage to enter someone's dream.

Many outsiders want to have it.

After my mother passed away, to ensure I don't become weak,

my father forbade me to use Zhuyou Spell.

So, it's true that you can't live...

more than 20 years?

How many years left?

Less than a year.

Why do things like this exist?

Don't worry.

I'm okay now, right?

We're not sure what will happen in the future.

What about him?

Does he know...

you have less than a year to live?

He knows.

But still, he broke his promise.

Maybe what's been said is true...

that I'm unlucky and I bring bad luck to others as well.

A person with Tiansha Star...

deserves a lonely life till death.

Don't worry, Xiao Tang.

I'll definitely find a way for you to live.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

You seem in a hurry. Where are you going?

Eunuch Gao, you've served this palace for a long time, right?

I served the palace since the emperor was crowned.

I think it's almost 17 years.

Good then.

I want to ask something.

Please give an honest answer.

Please don't doubt me. I'll tell you everything.

Eunuch Gao, do you know...

there's a magic thing in this palace?

It's called Dream Crystal.

I'm sorry, I have little knowledge on that.

I've never heard of it.

Thanks.

Your Highness, wait a minute.

The information about magic thing in this palace...

is at royal reading room.

But you're not entitled to read the palace confidential notes.

Your Highness, please forget about it.
