that this would be me,

It's a little different, but I think it's safe to say

I'm getting used to it.

Now, did you always know you were raising a star?

Well, yes, I really did.

Because I can remember, you know, her as a kindergartner.

She won her first crown.

And then from one through 12 after that,

every year she had a crown on her head.

She got a crown from kindergarten?

Oh, yes, yes.

Yes, she really did.

For doing what?

She was queen-- she was king of kindergarten.

Well, Angeria turned out so great.

Do you have advice for other parents

who may be raising a king or queen of kindergarten?

Well, I would say just love your kids for who they are

and always, you know, stand by them

for whatever they wanna be, and, you know,

just support them and love them.

Now, Angeria, I've always said drag doesn't change who you are.

It reveals who you are.

So what have you learned about yourself through drag?

The one thing that I can definitely say that I learned

is honestly something that my mom has been telling me

since I was about four years old,

and that's I can do anything I put my mind to.

I'm a tall drink of water,

and I made a pretty big splash this season.

Coming into the finale,

I'm so excited to be among my people,

feeling so at home with all of the other strippers.

[audience laughs]

I came into the competition

very focused on proving myself to be a talented drag queen.

I wanted to show most of all

that I'm incredibly good-looking.

What? [laughs]

It's so hot.

I would say my journey on Drag Race

was kind of like this.

We started out pretty strong,

then we shit the bed a little bit.

I'm known for being an outfit repeater,

which to the gays is a cardinal sin. [laughs]

I almost got the chop, but the drag gods saved me.

I came back and won through the power of shit-talking.

This is why Jorgeous lost.

[audience laughs]

I have no qualms about being competitive,

but going through the competition has taught me

how to roll with the punches

and pull yourself back together after falling apart.

[blows whistle]

Where does that aesthetic come from?

I think this is the first time that Great Falls, Montana's

been described as "exotic."

[both laugh]

I used to watch cartoons and read so many books

and try to be anywhere but where I was

for a very long time.

So I kind of started bringing that

and started dressing up as that.

Always loved villains

and I've always loved icy bitches.

[cheers and laughter]

Now, you've got three wins under your corset,

and as Jorgeous pointed out,

you were in the bottom three times in one episode.

[laughs]

You shit-head. You were so funny for that.

You should have saved it for the roast.

[cheers and laughter]

You know, at this point, I've lost so many times

that the only thing that makes sense is for me to win.

Yeah, well... [all laugh]

So what surprised you the most this season?

You know, I don't think I went into this

expecting to make a lot of friends.

That wasn't my priority, by any means.

But I've walked away with, like, not only friends,

but, like, a sisterhood.

And...it's incredible.

Now, has your family in Montana been watching?

They have been watching.

This is the first time they've ever seen me in drag

was for, um, the show,

and I've had some family members come to some of my shows now,

and they have seen every angle of my taint.

And that's what I really wanted

to set out and accomplish at this.

I am Daya Betty, the wild card of Season 14.

Ca-caw! Ca-caw!

My journey started off

not the way that I had anticipated.

My first episode, going home.

But what do you know, I got to come back,

and I really was just eyes on the prize

from that point forward.

I was not going to let anyone or anything get in my way.

It feels so good to be here, because more than anything

I'm doing it to prove to myself that I know who I am.

I am my own brand,

with that punk rock attitude

and a fierce competitive streak.

I look nothing like her.

I think the most important thing that I've learned is resilience,

being able to ultimately fail at something

and then come back and bite it in the ass and keep going.

I'm known for being outspoken, and some people don't like it.

Oh, my God!

Fuck it. I think being yourself and being authentic

is the most important part.

It's Daya and Jasmine!

You don't always have to sugarcoat things.

It's probably best that I don't sugarcoat things,

because it would make my blood sugar all out of whack.

My drag is all about being confident, powerful,

and a little edgy thrown in there.

A little bit of a diva attitude,

but this rock star mindset, and mash 'em together.

It makes a perfect drag combination.

Where does your determination come from?

Oh, my gosh. Well, I mean,

I was just, like, raised in a household of people

that were super strong-willed and outspoken,

and all of my families are.

Maybe it's just something in the water in Missouri, you know?

Like, cigarette butts, dead bugs, and determination.

Now, this season

you were compared to your sister Crystal Methyd.

Yes.

Did she have any advice for you?

Well, she told me to grow a mullet,

but that's not really possible for me, so...

And if you were a member of DeBarge,

which member would you be?

[all laugh]

Who's DeBarge?

And what inspired you to do drag?

Well, I get a lot of inspiration from, like,

women that don't necessarily follow the social norms.

You know, like, I like that rough around the edges

kind of aesthetic.

And, you know, I'm bald, so I like putting on a wig

and pretending I have hair for once.

[laughter]

Yeah, I have my boyfriend Tanner.

I would say what makes me most proud

I just think it's really important to remember, like,

it was harder for me to prove myself,

the end result is a much sweeter taste.

When I felt close to a win and didn't get it,

that kind of shifted things for me.

It made me feel like,

oh, I need to kind of scream and shout a little bit more.

People are waiting for you to succeed.

Some people want you to, you know, trip and fall.

But a lot of people love it when you stand back up

and win the challenge. [cheering]

My highs in this competition

have steadily just been, like, boom, pow, wow, psh, pew.

I feel like I've slammed the door open to who I am now.

My family is American as well as British,

and my American side of the family,

they just don't give a fuck as much.

And I think that's the side of me

that I'm continuing to embrace more and more.

[brakes squeal] Hey!

I'm walking over here!

I've realized that Lady Camden is an embodiment

of who Max wanted to be when he was six years old.

It just feels like I'm giving back

to that little kid who was so scared

to just, like, be gay and be feminine and be fierce.

I want my performance tonight to be remembered

as the best you've ever seen on Drag Race.

Where does that come from?

Well, Ru, you know, once a theater kid,

always a theater kid.

I used to pull stunts all the time.

I used to run away from home,

pretend I'd, you know, left forever.

I would pretend that I was really upset

when people would say mean things to me,

and then I'd just be like, "Just kidding."

[RuPaul laughs]

Now, your Freddie Mercury reveal was epic.

Now, I understand-- yes, it was.

I understand the group Queen has a special meaning for you.

Yeah, when I was deciding to quit all of my jobs,

full-time dancing, waiting as a server at a restaurant,

the day that I left, I put on my music

and the first song that came on was Break Free by Queen.

I don't know. It was just kind of, like, a nice sign.

It felt like something good was on the horizon.

Now, looking back,

is there anything you'd do differently this season?

I think I would take your advice from day one,

which was just to kind of let go and truly be yourself.

I feel like--it's what I've learned from this competition

is it's one thing to be successful,

but it's everything to be yourself.

Tonight, I feel like a high roller on top of the world,

and nothing and nobody can stop me.

When I first walked in the werkroom,

the queens underestimated me.

But over time, I think their opinions flip-flopped.

I think I brought something different every time.

I'm more of a character than I thought I was,

and I always have a little smile on my face,

but I'm usually scheming behind in the brain.

I think what I've done on the show

has resonated with people so much

because what I do is just take dark and painful moments

and take the piss out of it.

I am here to represent people

who are dealing with disabilities

and physical illness.

It is a big part of my drag.

I've been through a shit storm and back,

and it's made my drag funnier and more interesting.

It's just a special sauce that I bring to my drag,

and it's more than just mayonnaise and ketchup.

I've been so consistently in the top.

Lovely weather we're having.

I've barely faltered in this competition,

and I think I deserve to win.

Tonight, I'm feeling a lot of emotions.

This is my last little lap, and I'm so excited for it.

I can't wait to share this piece of me.

It's so true to who I am.
