Hi my name is Deja Skye.

I'm 31 years old and I'm from Fresno, California.

My name actually originates from the Beyonce song, Deja VU.

Love you Beyonce, hi girl.

And then Skye this is so embarrassing.

There was a puppet on this show called The Puzzle Place.

And I thought he was cute when I was a kid

and it always stuck, so Skye.

Weird I know, but that's my name, Deja Skye.

So the drag scene in Fresno is small,

but mighty much like my waist,

but we definitely have kind of everything.

The campy Queens, we have the comedy Queens

and then we have me and I fit right in between.

I always described my drag as curvy and colorful.

That is me.

I am big, but I can dance the house down.

Don't ask me to do splits, I don't have an ARP yet.

Honestly, I don't put myself in a box.

I pretty much can do a ballad.

I can make people laugh.

I can bring the house down, I'm all of it.

I think why I do drag because it is fully

an extension of me and my personality.

I was always a little toothpick to be a go-go dancer.

So I was like, dude,

I can put on a wig and get paid way more

than they would get paid.

And you can look, however you wanna look,

say whatever you want to say,

wear whatever you want to wear.

Put on whatever you want to put on.

It's literally the best job in the world.

I am very, just a people person, like stage is fun.

Making people laugh, performing that's great.

But honestly, off stage meeting people.

That's what I love, I love doing it.

And people always say that, will not always well calm down.

People do say sometimes that I can make someone feel

like they're the only person in the room.

So that's a talent.

Strangest thing about me?

This is so X-rated but I love,

don't judge me, anyone in this room.

I love anime porn.

I can't help it, I love cartoon porn.

If there's children in the room, I hate condiments.

So I feel like I can pretty much do it all, I hope.

Timing is everything, I will tell you this much.

This is my third time auditioning.

And this is the only year that I felt truly ready.

I have been doing this for 10 years.

I know, I look young 13, I know.

I really do feel like this is my moment, this is my time,

everything happened for a reason and I'm here.

I can't believe it.

Whoever doesn't wanna win,

I mean, hands down they would be lying,

but it's not like I'm super competitive

and I'll push anyone to get out of my way, it's fine.

Like the biggest competitor is myself.

Like literally biggest competitor is myself.

I came to have fun.

I came to push myself,

learn things about myself and meet new people.

I swear to God, I'm not just saying that.

I'm just here to do my best.

If I win along the way or win, amazing.

But that wasn't my end goal.

My end goal was pretty much just to challenge myself

and to be the best me I could be.

I know that sounds so cliche,

but I swear to God, that's the truth.

I mean, the crown would be lovely.

Definitely extra large, if you have it.

Why are you America's next drag superstar?

I am American's next stuttering superstar, because no.

I am America's next drag superstar

because I have everything you want.

I have the biggest, I have everything it takes.

And if I don't, I am at least gonna try

and that's all you want as a superstar.

You at least want them to put

their best foot forward at all times.

I radiate, I'm a positive energy

and I can't wait for everyone to meet me.
