[Catch Up My Prince]

[Episode 9]

Lu Ren Jia, you can be released.

Come out.

It's rare to see someone leave the Department of Internal Punishment without any physical injuries.

Second Prince specifically watched over her. Who'd dare defy him?

You're right.

Ice Cube the Second? Why did he save me?

Is it because he thinks I can still be used?

Xiao Jia, you're finally released!

You scared me.

I thought my imperial grandmother would kill you.

Let me take a look.

Eleven and Second.

Did Zhao Chen Yi forget about me?

[Cherished Orders Palace]

Her Majesty found the evidence; it's the silk flower.

I never touched the silk flower and passed it directly to Xiao Jia.

So you didn't do this, right?

If I say I didn't do it,

would Your Highness believe me?

You are my teacher's daughter; I'd believe what you say.

Thank you for your trust, Your Highness.

But not everyone deserves Your Highness' trust like this.

What do you mean?

If I were to say she's the one with secret plans, would you believe me?

I believe in her. She's not someone like this.

So Your Highness believes in me because I am your teacher's daughter,

but Your Highness' trust in her doesn't need any reason.

I now see that you are too deep into the trap she's set,

and nothing I say is of use.

Don't say things like this in the future. I've promised my teacher.

You promised him; you've also promised me Yu Family would be cleared

and you'd help me take revenge.

But did you do it?

I'm sorry.

Since Your Highness didn't do it,

then never mention going to Calm Refreshing Manor together

ever again.

Xin'er.

If you still want to take revenge, your life is at stake.

Then what good would Yu Family's political recovery be?

Your Highness need not worry about this anymore.

Your Highness! Your Highness!

Your Highness! Are you all right?

Second Prince hit you way too hard.

It's fine; I just need to rest for a few days.

With this, the fact that you know martial arts will be exposed.

That's not important, as long as Xiao Jia is fine.

I've escaped yet another close death.

Zhao Chen Yi,

do you know?

Actually, each of us is just like the stars in the sky.

Only if we work hard to shine, then others see us.

Thank you...

for accompanying me.

Do you like poems?

How about we make a poem related to stars?

"Last night was full of stars and the night breeze,"

"west of Painting Tower and east of Osmanthus Hall." (A Li Shang Yin poem)

"We lacked colorful phoenix wings to fly side by side, but our hearts were united."

Telepathy is a difficult thing after all.

There's no one way to write. Just let it flow naturally.

To write well,

your wrist has to be relaxed.

[We lacked colorful phoenix wings to fly side by side, but our hearts were united.]

Your Highness, Miss Xiao Jia has returned safely.

[Drawing Collection]

Your Highness.

No need to follow me.

[Favorable Impression Score: Zhao Chen Xuan 50; Zhao Chen Yu 40; Zhao Chen Yao 30; Zhao Chen Yi 0]

♫ The waterfowls don't fly alone, as they leave the river bank ♫

Sugar Cane the Fourth!

Xiao Jia, are you still up so late?

Are you waiting for me?

Eleventh Prince, it's you.

Why? Are you not happy to see me?

No.

Here, I want to show you something interesting.

It's so late; where are we going?

Follow me. I'm sure it will blow away your dark clouds and make you happy again.

What is this? Wine?

This is the Cherry Blossom Wine my mother taught me to make.

It's so fragrant.

When I'm not happy, I drink the Cherry Blossom Wine my mother makes.

Little Eleven, how old are you?

How can you drink wine in secret?

Why? I'm a prince. Can't I drink wine?

Also, I'm not drinking in secret.

I'm tasting it openly.

My mother said

this is made with the cherry blossoms from her hometown, Ji Mo City.

And this has to be drunk with someone important.

Oh, right, Eleven, don't you have morning class tomorrow?

If you get drunk and can't recite the text, you will be punished by the Imperial Consort.

These Historical Records are so boring.

To me, the techniques in Lu Ban's (Chinese architect and inventor) books

are more interesting.

Xiao Jia, I'm really interested in exploring things I don't know.

Are you willing to do it with me?

Eleven, unfortunately, I can't reciprocate your love.

You're the Eleventh Prince. There are many people

willing to follow you everywhere.

I have my own things to do, too.

Xiao Jia, what do you want to do? I can accompany you.

Look, Eleven, those stars are shining so bright!

Is plucking stars what you want to do?

Then I will pluck them for you.

The Cherry Blossom Wine is sweet, but the alcohol content seems high.

Eleven lied to me that this wine wouldn't make me drunk.

Hang in there, Lu Ran Ran.

Hang in there.

- You scoundrel! - How dare you!

You are the heartless "Sugarcane the Fourth."

Who are you talking about?

I said you are heartless.

Give me your hand.

You didn't come to see me when I was locked up.

Now that I've been released, you still haven't come to me.

Do you know I've been waiting for you?

Why are you waiting for me?

Waiting for you to comfort me, care for me, coax me.

I must be drunk and hallucinating.

You must be sleeping in your room right now.

You have to explain to me

why I like you so much, but your favorable impression score for me is always zero!

Are you heartless or are you just teasing me?

"Teasing you"? What is a "favorable impression score"?

- What are you mumbling? - Say it louder!

I've been suffering all my life's grievances for you.

Why don't you like me at all?

I like you and have always been good to you.

It's just that I can't let anyone know, Silly Pig.

[Pear Blossom Garden]

When did I get back?

My head hurts a lot. Did I drink so much that I forgot what happened?

I didn't even take off the outer garment.

Forget it. Who cares? I'll continue to sleep.

Why did I dream of Miss Yun Zhu?

Is there any connection?

[Cherished Orders Palace]

It was confirmed that Miss Yun Zhu is clean. Her household registration is normal.

After entering the palace, she became good friends with Miss Xiao Jia.

And she performed a song at Empress Dowager's birthday banquet.

There is nothing strange about her. However...

What is it?

However, she was just crowned as consort

and was sent to Cold Palace for unknown reasons.

"Sent to Cold Palace"?

Make a trip to Cold Palace.

Find a person to make some connections

to take care of her. Cold Palace is not an easy place to stay.

Has our Fourth Prince, who is compassionate toward ladies, returned?

- Yun Zhu is Xiao Jia's friend. Shouldn't I take care of her? - Yes.

- Is there any problem? - No, no.

Your Highness, since it's been so quiet in Cherished Orders Palace for so long,

why don't we get some singers to perform new songs?

We can...

Oh, that hurts!

I think your ears are itching to hear it, right?

Quick, get the job done.

Yes, Your Highness. I'll do it now.

Don't let her know that Yun Zhu was sent to Cold Palace.

I don't want her to worry.

Go now.

What are you doing here?

- Me? - Yes.

- Do you know me? - Who doesn't know Imperial Guard Bao from Fourth Prince's palace?

Why are you here?

I know Lady Yun Zhu's friend.

She asked me to deliver something.

You can pass me the things and leave. Not everyone can enter Cold Palace.

How is Lady Yun Zhu doing? Can I see her?

No. Give me the things.

All right. Then make sure to hand it over to Miss Yun Zhu.

Why would someone from Fourth Prince's palace send something to Her Ladyship in Cold Palace?

[Xu Manor]

Not bad. You've done a good job.

Thank you for praising me.

Wait until the right time

and get rid of all those in the Court of Judicial Review.

Who is it?

Lord, I'm Ah Wu.

Come in.

- Lord. - Why did you come back?

I came to deliver this.

Xiao Bao from Fourth Prince's palace

delivered these things to the lady at Cold Palace.

I stopped him.

Why would his people approach her?

He said it was a delivery on behalf of Lady of Cold Palace's friend.

I wanted to take my time to deal with him.

I didn't think I would be forced

to do it earlier.

Xiao Jia, why are you back so late? I've been waiting for you.

Miss Xin'er, why are you here?

You're back in one piece; of course, I had to come see you.

Look, I even brought you some snacks.

You don't have to bring snacks.

Just tell me straight. What exactly do you want from me?

Xiao Jia, I always thought we were friends.

You had such trouble; of course, I have to come and show my concern.

Don't you think so?

Xiao Jia, do you have some misunderstanding about me?

The Empress Dowager said I plotted against the Crown Prince.

She imprisoned me in the Department of Internal Punishment without hesitation and took my silk flower.

May I interpret the problem to be

the silk flower?

Miss Lu, the Fourth Prince gave the silk flower to you.

What does it have to do with me?

I didn't say it had anything to do with you. Miss Xin'er, what are you nervous about?

I appreciate your kindness. I won't eat the snacks.

I'm not in a good mood today so I won't keep you company.

This way, please.

There must be something wrong with Miss Xin'er.

What is that silk flower all about?

No. I must ask Sugarcane the Fourth for clarification.

Lady Yun Zhu, these are some desserts Lord asked me to bring over.

If you have anything you need,

please feel free to tell me.

I would like to go for a walk.

It's best if you don't leave needlessly.

Your Highness, if there's anything you need to do, I can help you with it.

In that case,

can you help me pass this letter to Lu Ren Jia who works at Always Inviting Palace?

Yes. I will surely complete

this small task for you.

Xiao Jia.

Lord.

This is Her Highness, Lady Yun Zhu's letter she wants passed to Lu Ren Jia.

[It's a long story, but I am now in Cold Palace.]

[Xiao Jia, I want to meet you. Can you come meet me?]

She's already in Cold Palace;

why is she still thinking of that Xiao Jia?

My Lord?

It's fine. Just tell her

this letter was delivered to Miss Lu.

Yes.

- The ambush failed, but he was poisoned with the Mana-Depleting Poison. - "Mana-Depleting Poison"?

Well done. Go back for now.

Yes.

[Cherished Orders Palace]

Xiao Bao.

Miss Xiao Jia.

Where's Fourth Prince?

His Highness is on an errand and hasn't returned.

He's not back yet... When will he be back then?

Is there something urgent? I can pass it on to him.

It's fine. I will tell it to him personally.

Go back in.

The matter of the silk flower must be made clear with him personally.

Lord Xu?

Everyone, come over. Quickly.

Lord Xu.

There aren't that many clothes and supplies at Cold Palace

so I brought you some.

See if you like them.

- Here, hurry. - Lord Xu, I don't understand.

The conditions at Cold Palace are not ideal. I don't want to see you suffering.

You shouldn't be sad here either.

Your Highness. Your Highness!

Slowly.

Your Highness.

Your Highness, why are you so badly injured?

I was going to meet Lord Ruan secretly tonight, but I was ambushed.

After the impeachment of Xu You Zheng, has Lord Ruan become a target?

Lord Ruan was dragged into this by me. Things are not looking bright.

You're so badly injured; let me get the imperial physician.

No.

If you get an imperial physician, how do I explain my injuries?

Your Highness, I fear your injuries can't be cured with the medication we currently have.

It's fine. Go get the medication.

-Yes. - Also,

go to Gentle Peach Pavilion and tell them I can't make it for the meeting today. Go quickly.

Understood.

Mana-Depleting Poison.

[Always Inviting Palace]

Look, she's the one.

- What about her? - She was in Department of Internal Punishment but returned without a single injury.

It seems Your Highness is in good condition today.

It's all thanks to your care these days.

Your Highness, you are too courteous. This is what I am supposed to do.

That's a lot of medicinal herbs. Why is no one helping her?

That's Miss Lu! Has she already been released?

It must be my grandmother investigated thoroughly and found Xiao Jia is innocent.

I heard it was Eleventh Prince who kept pleading in Forever Peaceful Palace.

It must be that Her Majesty couldn't take it anymore and released Xiao Jia.

Invite Xiao Jia over. I still need her to help restore my health.

[Always Inviting Palace]

Miss. Her Highness would like you to go over.

Greetings, Your Highness, Crown Prince and Crown Princess.

There's no need to be so courteous. Why are you standing so far away?

Have a seat.

But I...

We don't think of you as a lowly servant.

Wipe your tears and take His Highness' pulse.

Here.

Such a kind couple. How can I repay their kindness?

His Highness' condition still hasn't improved. He still has a Chi deficiency.

I guess this is also why they haven't had a child even after all these years.

Miss Xiao Jia, have you any good news?

Your Highness, there is nothing too bad about your health. You just have to continue resting.

However, I would like to ask, Crown Prince,

if trying to conceive a child has been unsuccessful.

This is the biggest regret Ah Hui and I have.

There we go.

Don't worry, your health is already improving. Her Highness is still young too.

As long as you two cooperate with me, I'm sure you can have a child soon.

- Really? - Yes.

- Your Highness! - That's great.

Since Your Highnesses trust me so much, I won't let you down.

However, Your Highness, you must cooperate with me, too. After all, conceiving a child is about two people.

Of course, of course! Miss Lu, please take a look for me.

Crown Princess, you don't have to call me Miss Lu. Call me Xiao Jia.

[Monthly Calendar]

Your Highness.

Your Highness, are you sure you don't need an imperial physician?

It's been three days, and your wound isn't healing.

No need.

If you're worried, how about I look for Miss Xiao Jia instead?

I can't drag her into this, too. What's the situation like outside?

I've been telling them that you aren't feeling well

and took a leave from the Ministry of Rites. His Majesty hasn't asked.

There hasn't been any news from Traitor Xu either.

That's good. Take your leave first.

Yes.

This Mana-Depleting Poison can't be treated even by you.

- Greetings, Your Majesty. - Did you bring her?

She is just outside the palace.

Bring her in.

Yes.

Come in.

Greetings, Your Majesty the Empress.

Lift your head.

Your features are delicate.

I am in fear.

What are you afraid of? I won't eat you up.

I find you very familiar-looking. Have I seen you before?

How would a lowly servant like me have met Your Majesty?

You look very similar to a lady I know.

That lady's husband is from Yu Family.

No need to belittle yourself. You are very pretty.

It's just that your hair accessories are too plain.

Your Majesty, this silk flower–

This silk flower is too plain. I shall gift you two golden prongs.

Why? Can you not bear to part with this silk flower?

Or does this silk flower have a significance?

You're mistaken, Your Majesty.

There's nothing special about this silk flower.

Say, if His Majesty finds out that the Fourth Prince has been hiding

a member of Yu Family, what would happen?

Here.

I said I won't hurt you.

The Yu family have a bad fate.

What does Your Majesty want?

What are you talking about? What could I ask of you?

You're quite wary.

I'm only pitying you.

I will help you. How does that sound?

Do you think if I could find out about what you did,

Empress Dowager couldn't? Or Fourth Prince wouldn't know?

Then no one could protect you.

If even Fourth Prince can't help you, what would you do?

Your Majesty.

How about you consider joining hands with me?

Xiao–

Miss Xiao Jia.

Is Fourth Prince back?

It's not that I'm not letting you in. Fourth Prince doesn't want any visitors.

Why does it reek of medicine?

Is he not seeing any visitor, or does it apply only to me?

No, no. You are mistaken. He's not seeing any visitor.

Fine. Be that way.

I won't serve him then. I'm leaving.

How dare you, Sugarcane the Fourth? Are you refusing to meet me?

It smells so good. This must be ginseng chicken that's cooking.

Hold on, speaking of smells...

What was that smell on Xiao Bao?

It seems to be dried rehmannia glutinosa,

dipsacus, and crow-dipper.

Xiao Bao is so active.

Could it be...

Sugarcane the Fourth?

[Cherished Orders Palace]

Your Highness, you're awake. Miss Xiao Jia came by several times.

Since she's so concerned about you, should we just let her in to examine you?

No.

I know the identity of those men in black.

Xu You Zheng isn't afraid of me at all.

It'd be too dangerous to drag her into this.

But if you don't treat your injury properly, you'll be the one in danger.

I'm fine.

I'll recover in a few days.

That must be Miss Xiao Jia again.

- Send her away. - Yes.

Come back. Be gentle.

Yes.

Miss Xiao Jia.

Is Fourth Prince in?

His Highness is in, but he's not seeing visitors.

This way, please.

I see what's going on.

You said you wanted to see me every day, but now you won't even see me!

Have you still any conscience?

Then tell me the truth. Is he injured?

I can't tell you.

My dear Xiao Bao.

- What's happening? - Miss Xiao Jia, why are you pushing me?

You're running so quickly! Stop right there!

Your Highness, I can't hold her back. Your Highness!

Zhao Chen Yi.

Are you injured?

No.

Have you seen the imperial physician?

You haven't seen the imperial physician, right?

How many days has it been?

I've applied medication.

You've applied medication to stop the bleeding. Why is the wound seeping so much pus?

- Let's not discuss me. You're all drenched like a pig. - What are you saying?

I'm sorry.

Did I hurt you?

Zhao Chen Yi, Zhao Chen Yi. Zhao Chen Yi!

Zhao Chen Yi, wait for me.

Let me bring you hot water and some gauze.

Miss Xiao Jia, how is His Highness' injury?

It's not looking too good.

Even if it was a normal injury, it's been so long.

There should be at least some sign of recovery.

But looking at him now, his blood still smells.

I think he must've been poisoned.

What should we do then? His Highness wouldn't let me get the imperial physician. Even you...

I barged in by myself.

Xiao Bao, take this prescription

and make the medicine. Boil four bowls of water into one bowl.

He's losing too much blood. This replenishes blood and Chi.

Understood.

Xiao Jia.

I'm here. I'm here.

Don't leave.

I'm not leaving.

Don't leave.

I'm not leaving.

Sugarcane the Fourth, I don't blame you.

I'm not angry with you anymore.

Even if you are hot and cold toward me every day,

can you wake up quickly?
