I mean, he clearly has a motive. So--so he loses his beloved

Gabby...then he finds out that Abigail's pregnant.

I mean, he could be the father. So when Abigail goes to get

these paternity tests, he's right there waiting for the

results. >> Kate: Yeah. But it's not like

he's in Abigail's contact list. I mean, how would he know about

the paternity test? How would he even know she was

pregnant? >> Gabi: I don't know, maybe he

had a...a meeting, a board meeting in the hospital, maybe

he overheard something? I don't know--maybe he was

keeping tabs on her. The point is that he was able to

get his hands on these test results...and he saw that Chad

was the father, and he was crushed.

So he switched the results. >> Kate: Okay.

But why would he wanna raise the baby?

>> Gabi: [scoffs] Kate, if Gabby thinks that this

baby is his, then maybe she'll come back to him.

>> Kate: Hmm. That could work.

have a problem. How is Chad going to discover

instructions on how to crack open a safe last year, and I was

able to open the Kiriakis safe, so this one will be easy at

So if the papers are in the safe, how's Chad going to know
