(Episode 12)

- We must go down for a scan. - Okay.

- You must wait outside. - Okay.

Please put anything metal in this box.

Don't forget your phone.

Thank you.

Did you filter out all the numbers in his contacts?

Yes, except for changed numbers,

I uploaded all the other numbers onto our database.

Great. We just need to check for women, right?

Put it on the screen.

Remove his mom, relatives, people from work,

and anyone over 40.

Show me a list of women Eun Ho may date.

That's it.

He's a total player.

What? What is it?

A stakeout didn't work, so she's going fishing?

Why is she doing that? Why?

I know, right?

Ms. Lee, she wants you in the situation room.

Me? Why?

We used big data to analyze Eun Ho's network.

But we can't find the answer that we want.

In other words, he is not in a deep relationship with anyone.

He's superficially dating many women.

Who among them would he risk being caught...

and run out of the hospital for...

if she calls? Who would it be?

Let your imaginations run wild.

Obviously, it's the one with the nicest body.

Everyone on this list has great bodies.

He's a celebrity, so popularity would be a priority.

If we sort them by highest paid per advertisement,

we should find the answer.

You have a point.

But Eun Ho comes from great wealth himself.

Since the girls are friends too,

wouldn't his oldest friend be the most effective?

We can look for the person whose number was saved first.

Ms. Jang.

If he knew her the longest, wouldn't he be the least allured by her?

Come on. Be more creative.

What would you base it on?

Let's see.

The person he spends the most money on right now?

Men tend to spend money on women they love.

Should we look at his credit card statements?

For men, it's the woman he didn't get yet.

Are you kidding me?

No. He's right.

Someone he didn't get yet.

That may mean he didn't get what he wanted yet.

So he can't forget her. He can't let go.

Well, so how do we find the love he never obtained...

from that list?

It's not like we can open him up and look into his heart.

Someone he can't let go of.

I'm sure someone said that to me earlier.

What did you say earlier?

Sorry? Me? I didn't say anything.

You said...

Changed number.

Yes. We filtered out numbers from his contacts...

that had changed...

Oh my gosh. Changed number.

A number that's no longer in service, but he can't delete it.

- He can't let go? - Exactly.

See if any of those filtered out numbers were of girls.

This was the only one.

- She's pretty. - What does she do?

Check big data and get me the list of social media accounts.

Hello.

I don't know how you found me,

but Eun Ho and I weren't like that.

I'm sure...

he doesn't even remember my name anymore.

Really?

We'll know if you call him.

Let's see whether or not he remembers you.

Why are you doing this to me?

(Baek Eun Ho)

Hello?

Hey, Hae Joo.

It's me, Eun Ho.

Hi, Eun Ho.

How do you feel?

I saw on the news. Are you okay?

Are you in a lot of pain?

Me? No. I'm totally fine.

What about you? Are you doing okay?

Actually,

the chief editor of Sunday Syndicate came to see me today.

She asked about us.

Sunday?

I see.

So?

So nothing. Don't worry. I said there was nothing between us.

Did you call because she made you worry about me?

I'm getting slightly hurt...

that you said there was nothing between us.

Eun Ho, don't make jokes.

Ji Soo Hyun, the chief editor of Sunday Syndicate,

came after me. That means she's after you.

I'm kind of grateful to her.

I never thought I'd see you again,

but she made you call me.

- Eun Ho. - Let's meet.

Let's meet in person.

What if she tries to hurt you?

- I think... - I'm going to Switzerland tomorrow.

I'm getting treated there.

I may never be able to come back.

Don't worry.

Your treatment will go well. I'll pray for you.

Where are you? I'll go to you.

What?

Now?

Why won't Ms. Jang pick up?

I hear everyone is coming back.

We should start packing up too.

What?

Are you going somewhere?

(Hanshin Hospital)

You have a car, right?

Help me out.

He's leaving now.

Let's go.

He's almost there. Get ready.

(Eun Ho)

Hey.

Come out. Stay on the phone.

That's right.

Get in.

Get in quickly.

Hold up.

What's going on?

Hey. Follow them. Go.

Follow them.

What are you people doing?

You are trespassing on private property.

The police will arrive soon.

No one may leave until they do.

What?

Darn it.

You must have been scared.

Don't worry. It was to get rid of the tail from Sunday.

See you soon.

But how did you know that?

That Eun Ho was going to trick us.

No matter how advanced the cameras become,

cameras can't replace seeing him in person.

I didn't see a thing though.

Okay.

What? Now?

Wait. No. Keep tailing him.

What are you talking about?

The photographers from Team Three are tailing Eun Ho now.

What? Play me the call.

Who called?

This is Hong Tae Woo from Team Three.

Right now, my supervisor who's accompanying me now is...

Han Seok Joo... He's here.

- Put him on the phone. - Hold on.

You can talk now.

I'm here. Go ahead.

How are you still tailing him? How did you know where he'd be?

It's obvious.

Ms. Jang told me not to take my eyes off Eun Ho even for a second.

I was following her order and I ended up here.

You're so cool.

Okay.

Luckily, Seok Joo is tailing Eun Ho.

What? What did you say? Han Seok Joo?

Are you sure you're okay?

Yes, I'm okay.

If I get treated properly, I can live like a normal person.

That's all I could ask for.

Who knows?

I might quit those action movies and star in romance movies.

Yes, that would be nice too.

I'm sorry, Eun Ho.

- What's that? - It's a transmitter.

When I turn this on, the camera becomes a broadcast camera.

The car antenna will catch this camera's signal...

and shoot the video with 5G.

To where?

To the headquarters.

Gosh, there are always those people who snatch away things...

that are meant for other people.

Now that there's 5G, paparazzi have an upper hand.

What's not meant for who?

You startled me. Did you turn it on already?

Can you hear us too?

They can see and hear us.

I'm sure they're laughing now.

Hold on.

Sir, he's definitely somewhere here.

Okay. I got it. I'm looking for the car too. Calm down.

- Hurry! - Where is this car?

Ms. Ji, we have a problem. there's an underground taxi.

What? Are you sure?

Yes, I know this taxi.

And those girls have DSLR cameras too.

How does it look?

I think they'll get caught soon. What should we do?

- Wait. - Wait?

Okay. I got it.

What is she going to do?

- What is it? - No.

Your agent. Where is your agent?

I told him to stay away.

That's the car! Stay close to that car.

I think he's going to get caught.

They're your stalker fans. It's over if they found out about us.

How did you know that they were here?

How did you know?

I'm the bait.

For Ji Soo Hyun of Sunday.

What?

I was the bait to lure you out here.

I really hope he picks up.

- Hello? - Hey, it's been a while.

Hey, yes. It's been a while. What's going on?

I'm right behind you.

- Really? - Can you turn the car around?

- I'll double the fee they gave you. - Really?

But you know, business has been slow lately.

- I'll quadruple it. - Okay.

Then let's grab soju together some other day.

Sure. Thank you.

I'm very close with the driver of the underground taxi.

My gosh.

Did I get a flat tire? What's wrong with my car?

- What? - What? It was fine a minute ago.

You get flat tires out of the blue. I should check on it.

- You'll suddenly check it now? - We have to go now.

We're going to lose him.

Be quiet. Let me pull over first. Hold on a second.

- We lost him because of you! - We lost him because of you!

- Stop the car. - No.

I don't care. Stop the car.

Never. I care.

I can't get photographed with you.

- What? - I prepared a new song...

without my label all on my own.

This new single might be my last one.

And Ji Soo Hyun said that she'd nullify my slave contract.

If there's a scandal of us, I'm done for.

Your fans won't leave me alone.

- Hae Joo. - Yes, I won't...

miss you...

or be jealous of you anymore.

I'll live a happy life...

smiling on TV just like you.

I got it, so stop the car.

It's dangerous, so stop the car!

- Move. - Stop the car.

Wait! Wait!

Camera. Get the camera.

Wait with the camera.

I can't see them. I can't see them.

You'll jump in and then what?

I called the ambulance, so wait.

We don't have time.

They're going to die!

If you jump in there now, Se Eun will die too.

Hold on.

Mr. Han.

Hae Joo. Hae Joo.

Hae Joo!

Call 911!

Mr. Han.

They're coming up.

His legs are totally fine.

What are you doing? Get your cameras up.

Hae Joo, wake up.

Please, wake up. Please.

Please.

Hae Joo, wake up.

Hae Joo.

We should leave the scene.

Wait.

Hae Joo. Please, wake up.

Hae Joo. Wake up.

She's alive. Sir.

- Get in. - Let's go.

You'll be okay.

I'm sorry.

How were you so sure...

that Eun Ho was faking his illness?

He isn't his father's real son.

How could he have inherited his disease?

Father. It's true.

I didn't do anything wrong.

Eun Ho's father didn't want to give his child...

his hereditary disease...

and insisted on using someone else's sperm for artificial insemination.

Don't call him Eun Ho's father!

My son is not your son's father!

You dirty slime balls. You conspired with the child of some random punk,

and tried to take my company?

No, Father. That's not it.

Hey, you.

I mean,

Sweetie. All of that punk's assets...

will go to Shi Ho from now on, so you manage them.

Yes, Father. I'll do that.

I'll let him keep the Baek family name...

only because I'm too ashamed about this getting out,

but I never want to see you...

or your kid ever again.

- Mr. Vice Chairman. - Yes, sir.

Don't let them...

anywhere near my funeral when I die.

Got that?

Yes, Father.

Where's the attorney?

I need to revise my will.

Father...

I am leaving the country tonight to start my treatment.

Last night,

at the thought this may be my last night in my home country,

I sneaked out of the hospital...

and drove a car by myself to meet a friend.

I hoped I'd be fine,

but I suddenly lost control of my right leg,

and I got into a car accident.

Thankfully, no one was hurt,

but I was irresponsible.

I'd like...

to apologize...

sincerely to everyone.

Was the person you were trying to see...

your girlfriend?

She was at one time.

Then were you trying to see your ex-girlfriend?

We broke up last night.

Why did you break up?

How long were you two together?

Yesterday was...

6 years, 7 months, and 23 days.

We will end the press conference here.

Due to his health, we will not take any more questions.

Please send us your questions, and we'll answer them swiftly.

- Oh my gosh. - Goodness.

- Six years? - My gosh.

How sad.

He really needs to act.

Prepare the follow-up story.

Follow-up?

We need to see whether or not he serves in the military.

That venomous snake.

I'll write you a nice article for your comeback.

Please keep your promise to Hae Joo.

Let's go.

Hello.

We have great news for you.

Se Eun was selected to receive full financial support...

from a large charitable foundation.

- What? - What?

What do you mean?

You don't have to worry about paying for treatments and surgeries.

Why?

We never applied for sponsorship with any foundation.

That's right.

Congratulations. You were lucky.

We had a surplus in our budget due to a special donation,

so we searched for a recipient...

consistent with our cause,

and Se Eun was selected.

It will be done discretely...

so that your ex and the hospital have no idea.

He is our foundation's medical consultant.

- Hello. - Hello.

May I take a look, Se Eun?

- It's okay. - It's okay.

Okay. Let me see.

Okay. We're good now.

You don't have to worry about a thing anymore.

We promise to find a heart perfect for Se Eun.

But first, let's bring her to our hospital and get her...

a VAD implanted right away.

- Sorry? - A VAD?

We will pay for the surgery and all medical costs,

so don't worry about a thing.

Do you give your consent?

Yes, of course. Thank you, doctor.

Thank you.

Se Eun.

Mommy...

Why are you crying? Se Eun.

Don't cry. Mommy's crying because she's so happy.

It's because she's so happy.

- Mommy. - Don't cry.

Don't cry, Se Eun. Why are you crying?

Se Eun.

If you had jumped into the water to save Eun Ho,

what would've happened?

Would people have praised you for being a nice paparazzo...

that saved a person's life?

Eun Ho would've succeeded in faking his disease,

and you would've gone to jail as a dirt bag...

who endangered a star's life.

And because you have a prior,

you would've received an enhanced sentence.

Se Eun wouldn't have gotten this far either.

I kept my promise to bring Se Eun here.

So you keep your promise.

Your promise to become a cruel, heartless paparazzo.

(Big Issue)

- Are you okay? - Yes.

Following him is going to drive me into an early grave.

That's because we're paparazzi.

Because we're paid according to what we do.

I'm just annoyed because a newcomer is trying to oust a regular member.

It's a drug ring disguised as a talent agency.

We're up against Nam Jin Suk, a prosecutor.

He's a total sick, perverted psycho.

You shouldn't let some perverted associate prosecutor...

scare a CEO like you.

Hey. Do you feel better today?

Does anyone have any ideas? We need to do something!
