What makes you think I'm not vicious?

[EPISODE 3] I thought we agreed

to act according to our plan.

This spy would certainly have changed sides.

Your Highness, why did you kill her?

After acting for several days,

I didn't find it useful.

Why did the crown prince send such a fool?

Since the death of the empress,

the power of the Eastern Palace [i.e. the crown prince] at the court is in turmoil.

They must be suspicious of you.

It's time for a change.

[Crown Prince, Chu ShenZhi] My nephew,

the spy we sent was killed by Chu NingYuan.

Miss FeiFei? Is she dead?

Yes.

She had more than one trick up her sleeve,

but she didn't fool Chu NingYuan.

He is really cruel and ruthless!

You want me to tell you, spies are too much trouble.

I have many elite soldiers,

kill such an insignificant prince

would be very easy!

My uncle...

My father's biggest taboo is the power struggles in the palace.

Now that my mother's mourning period is over,

I will be able to choose a concubine.

Let's not lose sight of the big picture.

In the thirty-ninth year of Jianping,

the imperial bridge of JiangNan Palace collapsed.

His majesty was very sick after falling into the water.

The empress ordered the execution of more than three hundred craftsmen.

Their wives and daughters became official prostitutes.

Wood for the construction of the imperial bridge

could have withstood the water

for 1000 years.

Indeed, getting rid of the empress is not enough.

The next one will be the crown prince.

It's thundering today.

Your Highness, your headache is back, isn't it?

I brought you some tranquilizer incense.

Your Highness, rest well.

A'Yan,

come.

I will kill one by one

all those who bully us.

I know it.

You've always been a good student.

You will definitely ascend their position soon.

[Then you will always be by my side, won't you?]

By the way,

according to Lin FeiFei,

the crown prince intends to marry the daughter of the prime minister.

[Do you mean...]

If we think about it early, we can seize this opportunity.

Do you want me to marry her?

Of course.

You need to marry a noble and powerful woman

to be able to take the throne.
